Calendar events one hour ahead

Hi
Just got my new 4s and have synced my calendars between Outllok on Windows 7 and my phone.  I have an evet that runs every Friday between 18:45 and 20:00 which is set up as a recurring event.  It displays fine on my calendar at the minute by looking ahead to the end of march the time displayed seems to have shifted forward an hour to 19:45 - this I believe coincides with the change to BST.  Obviously my event still hapens at 18:45 and I would like the calendar to display this.  The strange thing however is when I go in to edit the event on my phone - on the edit screen it shows as 18:45, yet when I save this it still displays as 19:45 on the event screen ....
Have I set something up wrong?  Can I do something to get the calendar to display correctly?
Thanks in advance
Nigel

Thanks for the above - played around with setting etc on my phone but with no luck.  The only way I seem to be able to get the correct time to to create two recurring events - one until BST and the other after which is hardly ideal - I must be doing something wrong!!  Just noticed that exactly the same thing happens on my iPad

  • Calendar events one day ahead

My Calendar events are show on the correct days when I view the Calendar on the "Landscape" view mode, But when I look at the Calendar using the "List" view mode all of the events are shown to occur one (1) day earlier. Is there a way to fix this?
I purchased a iPhone 6 last week and synchronized my account using iTunes. I didn't notice any issues until today, but this may have been occurring since the beginning.

I have the same problem. HELP!

    Hey Armando Stettner,
Thanks for the question, and what a great question it is!
With time zone support on, you can edit an individual event and change the time zone for that event. This list will include options for your default time zones, UTC, and "floating" - the latter of which is what you are looking for. Floating changes the event to occur at the specified time, local time.
For information on changing an event's time zone, see the following resource:
Calendar: Change an event’s time zone

I look forward to hearing how this works for you.
    Cheers!

  • Appointments one hour ahead of appointments created in iCloud - both before *and* after the shift from daylight savings time

I am in the CET timezone and my Lumia 925 on 8.1 has consistently shown appointments one hour ahead of appointments created in iCloud - both before and after the shift from daylight savings time here.
My disappointment is compounded by the fact that I patiently waited for October, naïvely thinking the clockchange would solve things... doh.
Look forward to your earliest solution.
    Jonny.

There is a separate thread on this subject. It's a bug in Windows Phone 8.1. It is fixed in the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1 release (due Nov/Dec 2014). Alternatively, you can install the developer preview (go to Store and search for 'preview for developers'.
You have to register as a developer though (easily done through appstudio.windows.com) or you can wait for your phone vendor (Microsoft / Nokia) to release the 'Denim' upgrade.
For now, I don't know a decent workaround.

  • GetTimezoneOffset got one hour ahead on linux than windows

I'm using Date object to retrieve current local time for
display. But got one hour ahead than the system time.
For an example, I set the system time zone to Hong Kong,
China. The getTimezoneOffset() return -540 on linux, but on
Windows, it's -480. So, the time in flash is one hour ahead than
    the system time.
I have checked that the getUTCHours() return the same result
    on linux and windows.
    Any Suggestions?
    thx!

users from North America Help Desk are creating tickets for the UK customers.

  • Calendar timeline one hour off

In iOS 5 on an iPad 2, using calendar after converting to Eastern Standard Time using the Week View, the Timeline is one hour off (iCal didn't register the time change). When the time is 3:00 EST, the Timeline registers 4:00 pm EST.

I had the same issue - not with Yahoo but Apple's own iCal and MobileMe.
    This worked for me:
Go to iPhone Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Calendars>Time Zone Support
Change Time Zone Support selector to "OFF" then back to "ON".
    Exit Settings
    NB: NOT Settings>General>Date & Time
My Time Zone Support selector was "on", however Time Zone showed Etc/GMT -4
When I selected Time Zone Support to "off" and then back to "on", Time Zone changed to show "New York" (my local area). Calendar events then displayed the same times as iCal/MobileMe.

  • .Mac published calendar is two hours ahead.  Any solution?

I have searched for this problem and many others have asked this question, but I've not seen anything that helped me solve it. I have published my calendar to .Mac and the published version on the net is two hours ahead (i.e. an appointment that says 8:00 on my mac, says 10:00 on .Mac). I am in the central timezone and have double checked my computer's timezone settings, they are accurate. The calendar was created in this timezone, and never been changed. I unpublished the calendar, deleted it, created a new one and it still has the problem. I have re-set the sync in the preferences. Anymore suggestions to fix this?
    Thanks
    Keith

If everything in your system is okay, then it sounds more like something has gotten latched in the 'time zone support' areas of iCal > Prefs.
I'd first try just going to that area, checking and unchecking things, changing settings to something else and then back to your desired setting; that will sometimes be enough to unlatch whatever it is.
If not, the usual next step would be to dump the prefs file. With iCal not running, locate it's plist and drag it to someplace else (Desktop is okay short term). Open the app, which will create a brand new plist file; check the settings there in Prefs and then, I suppose, try re-publishing the calendar. If all is well, can trash the old plist file.

  • IPod Calendar events 1 hour off

Recently all the calendar events on my iPod's calendar are an hour before all the events in iCal. I've tried replacing all the calendars on the iPod, but the problem persists. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. Turns out under Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars, there is an additional setting for "time zone support." Change the Time Zone there to wherever you currently are (mine was set to Cupertino.)

  • Calendar events an hour early after time change. Help!

    I have a Motorola phone.
When the time changed my phone said "Convert events to current time zone?"  And I pushed "yes."  Now EVERYTHING in my calendar is set an hour earlier!  For example, my son has a class at 10:00 this morning, but in my phone it's been changed to 9:00.  It's this way with every event.  How can I undo this?  I don't want to have to go into every event and change the time back!  The clock on my phone is correct.  I don't know why the calendar events got converted to an hour earlier.
    Kat

I already went in and changed everything manually.

Kathrine, a phone calendar can be so important to keep track of daily events, so I want to make sure we get this working for you. First, I'll need to know what phone you have so I check to see if there are settings to change the Calendar settings. You can also visit vzw.com/support and select Device for support articles on your device.

  • Will my phone automatically go one hour ahead tonight for the time change? Also, if I set my alarm will it go off at the time it's supposed to, or an hour later?

I live in ny and was wondering if tonight with the time change, will my iPhone automatically change the time? Also, if my alarm is set to go off in the morning, will it go off an hour later, or at the time that its supposed to?

On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
If you have Set Automatically selected, the date and time for your iPhone is set automtically based on the tower your iPhone is connected to with your cell phone carrier.
The date and time will be changed automatically on your iPhone based on your carrier changing the date and time at the tower your iPhone is connected with.
If the date and time is changed automatically on your iPhone, the alarm wiil go off at the selected time for the alarm. If you need to ensure you don't miss waking up at the designated time, I would use a backup alarm that is not based on the date and time being changed by your cell phone carrier.

    Windows 7 and Office 2007.

For example event that starts at 9 in the outlook will start at 10 at the Iphone.
    2. All the events for full day in the iphone are one day backward.
For example event that is in all munday in the outlook, is in all sunday.
I tried to delete the event are sync.
I tried to force rewrite all the calendar information in the next sync
I tried to unmark the V in the automatecly clock change.
    Can someone helps me?
    Thanks

Under the setting app in on the iPhone, go to the mail, contacts and calendar heading. At the very bottom of the calendar settings, do you have time zone support turned on?
