Calendar Freezes on JUNE 2008 both on desktop and handheld

Hi--I have a peculiar problem with not being able to access June 2008 any longer on either of my desktops.  While this may seem a small, insignificant problem--it's kind of ridiculous.  When scrolling through months, it simply will not go to June from either direction or by clicking on the month directly--instead it freezes and eventually the palm desktop shuts down and asks if I want to send an error report...etc  I have the DBFixit software, and it detects no file errors on my handheld.  All other aspects of my machine seem functional and there is no freeze on the sync itself with either desktop.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!
*PLEASE READ THROUGH WHOLE POST BEFORE PROCEEDING*
This is definetly a tough one. If I had to guess, all answers point to file corruption. The only problem is, even if we do a hard reset on the device, the problem exists on the desktop as well. So as soon as the hard reset is completed and we resync the problem would reoccur.
There is absolutely no easy way to fix this. You cannot access the data on the handheld or the desktop to manually delete it. I will walk you through something that may, and hopefully will, resolve your issue but be aware we may need to nuke all of your calendar data to fully resolve this issue. If you have a lot of calendar data, I can see this being troublesome to you and I apologize that I do not have a better solution. We can give something a shot though.
To ensure all data is safe we will make a copy of your username folder in the process. First, open up your "My Computer" > Local Disk C:\ > Program Files > Palm (sometimes PalmOne) > in here you should see a file that is your username. Right click the folder and select "Copy". Go to your desktop and right click to hit "Paste." I recommend you rename the folder to something slightly different, it doesn't have to be much.
For example: Userfolder's name is: "Bob" you can change it to "Bob1"
Just as long as a character is added or change you should be fine. Go back into the original folder we made a copy of (the one in Local Disk C:\ > Program Files > Palm). Once you are back there, open the username folder. You calendar data will be tied to a folder named either "Calendar" or "Datebook". Either or, open it and delete the file ending in .dat. You should see a file ending in .bak, rename it to instead say .dat instead of .bak at the end.
Reopen the Palm Desktop to see if this fixed your issue. If not, next step is to nuke it. Delete the everything inside the datebook (or calendar) folder that is in your username.
The process would be to hard reset you device. This will erase ALL data on the device so make sure to hotsync before perform this action. For further information on how to hard reset go to kb.palm.com and look up article number 42094 in the solution ID search field.
You can then perform a sync when device is backup but all datebook/ calendar entries will be gone. If you don't have many, you can enter everything back in. If you have a lot of calendar entries this is completely your choice if you would like to go through with this.
I really hope this helps and I am sorry if this doesn't help much. Let me know if you have any further questions.
