Calendar in iOS7 for iPad:  Disappointed!  How do I...?

How can I get to a month without scrolling up and down trying to figure out when/where to stop at the right one?  I miss the month bar at the bottom!
How can I easily add an event to a future date? I used to be able to tap on that date and the event info box would pop up.
How can I change the color scheme so I can actually see and read the events.  Very hard to see the light grey and white text.  I've already switched to "bold" in accessibility settings but this doesnt help with the calendar!
Apple, please revise the calendar in your first update!  Thanks.

  • What is the "Saved Gestures" option in iOS7 for iPad, and how does it work?

I can't find any guides or tutorials on it anywhere.

Not helpful at all, but I probably should have been more specific. I'm trying to figure out how to use the custom gestures. Do they do anything more than just trace specific shapes on the screen? For example, can you make a gesture that will open your photos or mail app without having to back out of the app you're in? Or to close the app you're in without using multitasking?

  • Apple, please allow downgrade to iOS7 for iPad 2 users. iOS8 is vera slow!

Apple, please allow downgrade to iOS7 for iPad 2 users. iOS8 is vera slow!

I had the same problem with my iPad 2 after upgrading to ios8.  I went to Apple Store to ask and confirmed that it is a very common problem to ipad2 owners.  I asked the techician why didn't we get a "warning" from Apple, and he said Apply was not responsible and simply not in their agenda for that.  I was very disappointed as I thought essentially Apple wanted to push older iPad owners to buy the ne, because my iPad 2 is basically a piece of crap after the upgrade.  I understand, our machines get old and not powerful enough to take newer updates.  But what is unreasonable and unacceptable is the fact that Apple did not provide any guidance on this before owners decided to upgrade iOS or not.

    Hi ravelvanto,
mine too (iPad 3/WiFi) hasn't this features.
Especially the flash can't be realized because there is a simple lack of a flash light.
Why there is no compass, calculator (I'm using the Wolfram App instead), or the weather app etc. I don't know...
    Best regards, mackevin

Apple's servers are being hammered by everyone and his dog trying to get the update the minute it was released. I'd suggest you wait a few hours, or perhaps until tomorrow, and then try again.

  • How to set up calendar in iCloud for ipad

My Calendar works perfectly on my iMac, and my calendar also is on my Android phone.  I can't get the calendar on my iPad.  Apparently, with the latest OS Mavericks, I need to somehow command iTunes to set it up, but I don't know how.

iCloud will not sync calendars from an external account such as Google.  If you have a Google calendar and want to sync it with your iPad, add your Gmail account to your iPad by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>Google and turn Calendars on.  Your Google calendar will then appear in the Calendar app on your iPad and you can leave your other devices the way they are now and they will all sync using Google.

  • Installed IOS7 for IPad~now can't connect to home WiFi, but worked @Library.So IOS7 doesn't like Sky Yahoo

For days I have been unable to use my IPAD except to view what is already there. I downloaded IOS7 and all was ok for about a week but suddenly one morning I woke up to find that my gadget doesn't want to connect WiFi via my home provider. This happens to be Sky Yahoo. So, short of changing providers, I don't know what to do. Only purchased my IPAD 2 in June this year but am already wishing that I had chosen the Samsung Galaxy Note. (it was a close call). The tech guys in the shop have tried to help but as soon as I am out of range of the shop I am back to square one. Called in at my local library today and had no problem connecting to their WiFi.
Can i "uninstall" IOS7 or is there a way round this problem before I go crazy?  This is being sent from my laptop, obviously. Any and all help gratefully accepted.....especially if it works.

    You can't downgrade the iOS.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. You may have many open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign.

  • Adobe reader for iPad disappointed me

I cant beleive it, Forms, links, bottoms… don't work with Adobe reader for ipad. ¿Why?

Adobe Reader on desktop has a primary goal to open any valid PDF file, not matter how complex the contents. As such it uses a lot of resources and relies on certain platform features only found on desktop and laptop machines. The install footprint is huge, memory consumption is significant, but it doesn't matter.
Adobe Reader on mobile cannot currently get anywhere close to that - not only are the hardware resources not yet up to the task (storage, CPU power, RAM and GPU features are feeble compared to even basic laptops), but there are limitations imposed by the platform owners on which elements can be included. For example on iOS, Reader can't currently display PDF files that contain Flash content or embedded JavaScript, and since many forms rely on scripting (for calculated fields or submit actions) it's simpler right now to say "feature X is not supported" than support part of the feature and have a case-by-case response to every document. Since opening everything isn't an option, the mobile versions of Adobe Reader go for lightweight installers and fast performance, with a much-reduced feature set. You may not agree that's the correct line to take, but it's what Adobe are doing. I'm sure if the app had a 500MB install footprint, people would be up in arms even if it did open every file on the planet.
The Acrobat Family (including Reader) is an enterprise application group, so there are  features in the new iOS app specifically intended to appeal to that type of user, such as integration with LiveCycle DRM. For enterprise, a simple, global "no" to a feature is much less strain on IT support than a complex "maybe".
What will happen in the future, I cannot say - but remember this is the first build for iOS, so it will certainly evolve over time. Personally I'd love to see forms support on the iPad, but done properly - AcroForms, XFA, scripting, signatures, etc. - and that's a huge challenge. I'd also love to see rich media and Flash support, but that's politics. I don't do politics.
Customer feedback is very welcome, positive or negative. It'd also be great to hear what types of documents people are viewing with the mobile apps, and what single feature they'd most like to see added.

  • I understand it is possible to have a delay of 60 s between transitions in Keynote for ipad. How do I do this?

I understand that it is possible to have a delay of 60 s (rather than the 10 s shown on the slider) between transitions on Keynote for ipad. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

    casper,
Are you looking at Keynote for the Mac or Keynote for iOS?
I see that option for the Mac but not for the iPad (that's why I didn't reply earlier, I couldn't find out how to do it either other than maybe duplicating slides and inserting delays with no transition to make it look like a longer delay (no change + delay, no change + delay, etc = long delay) ).

  • Will there be mutiuser in the new ios7 for ipad

Will there be mutiuser in the new ios7 for ipad

We only know what Apple has told the rest of the world about what the new features will be in iOS 7, and you can read about them here.
    http://www.apple.com/ios/ios7/
I haven't read about allowing multiuser accounts in iOS 7 and anything more would be speculation.

  • Are compass and flashlight apps included in ios7 for iPad ?

are these apps included in the software update for iPad or only available in iPhone ?

which one will show up in contol center? There are so many listed, but I see none from Apple

  • How do I get the weather to show up in Notification Center in new iOS7 for iPad?

I just uploaded the new iOS7 to my iPad and can't get the weather to show up in the Notification Center.  The location services are turned on, so I'm not too sure what else to do.  Thanks!

    Hi SalynotSally,
I use the Weather Channel app, but shortly after I posted this problem, the weather did start showing up.  The notification center says at the bottom that the weather is provided by yahoo.  I did make sure the location services and such were on though as Diavonex recommended above.
Good luck and hope it works for you!

  • Calendar in ios7 on ipad not showing correct month.

After updating to ios 7 on my iPad with Retina the calendar app will not show the correct month in the future. If I scroll back in time the months will change correctly. ie: The name of the month at the top and the dates will change correctly. If I scroll forward in time the name of the month at the top will be off by
one month.ie: If I scroll forward to December, November stays at the top (see attached photo). If I scroll to January, December show up below. I just updated to ios7.04 and it is still doing it.
I've tried unselecting calendar events to show so that it's a blank calendar and that did not help.
Any way I could fix this?
    Thanks.

No, the appointments will not "get messed up". If you leave time zone support off the calendar will stay exactly as it was at home. If you turn on time zone support for the new time zone you're in ( or other country ) the appointment times will change or convert to times and days in that zone or country. When you turn off time zone support after returning home it'll all convert back to that time zone.
Example. You have an appointment (10am Thursday) with Joe in your hometown in Chicago. On Tuesday you fly to Tel Aviv and switch Time Zone Support on for Tel Aviv. The calendar will show the upcoming appointment with the newly converted time and date in the calendar. At that new time and date of the appointment it'll be 10am Thursday back home.

  • Calendar not made for Ipad?

Very surprised that Calendar on my Ipad is not intuitive nor is it really "IPAD" friendly. Did I miss a setting somewhere? Why can't I flip through pages like every other app in the world? Why can't I simply tap an area and a window to schedule an appointment comes up?
Really really surprised how elementary this program is since it comes standard on the Ipad. PLEASE tell me there is an update coming for this. If sold in the Itunes store, probably only get a star or two.

Use the bar and arrow keys at the bottom of the Calendar to flip pages. Use the + key at the bottom right to add an event. Tap an event to edit it.
