Calendar input help in web layout

Hi Community,
I have a BPS web interface with a planning layout for input of date, which has been generated by the means of bps_wb. This layout uses key figure of type date in data columns.
If I execute the layout in BPS0 the calendar input help pop-up (F4) comes automatically, which is not the case in web.
Is this a bug or lack of functionality?
I just want to be sure if OSS call is legitim.
Many thanks for any info!

Hi,
In bps_wb, you need to set the type of input for each selection variable. What is the type of input you have selected? Ensure that you chosen the option "With Input Help".
If you want the input help as part of the layout, go to the settings for the layout. You can then specify the type of input help you require for each field.

  • Can we Definine Input Help in a Query

    Hi
Is it possible to define input help or search help in a query the same way as it is done in R3?? I will like to load specific value from a psa.
    Regards

    Hi Jacques,
Providing Customized Input help in query directly is not possible. Instead we can provide Input help in WAD layouts for a query with the help of another Query.
This can be made available for the users to choose with using controls such as Drop Down, Check boxes, Buttons and so on..
    Hope this helps.
    Regards.

You don’t need to do that. Click here and follow the instructions, or if they don't cover the type of adware on the computer, these ones. If you're willing to download software to resolve this issue(you don't need to, but may find it easier), you can instead run Adware Medic; this link is a direct download.

  • Input Field: Value Range in IP Web Layout

    Hi Experts,
I've created a Web Layout based on IP with a copy function (e.g. from actual 2008 to plan2009) over 12 calendar months. For choosing the months to be copied, I created a Variable (calmonths) and added an Input Field into my layout to enter the the months to be copied. I referred the variable to the input field and it's working...
When I want to select several months to be copied, I can type in " 1; 2; 3; " into the input field, execute the planning function and only month 1, 2, 3 (i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar) are being copied. But when I want to copy all 12 months, i have to enter 1; 2; 3; 4;...11; 12 which is kind of anoying! Has somebody some experience whether I can use a value range like 1-12 (or something like that) to avoid entering all the months individually? (I tried 1-12; 1- 12; 1 - 12; 1:12 etc but nothing like this is working)
It would be very helpful if someone has an idea
    All the best,
    Norbert

    Hi Mayank, hi Srinivas.
Thanks a lot for your valuable input! Unfortunately I was not able until today to test your recommodations.
I tried your Interval variable but then faced the problem that I cannot enter multiple months anymore (e.g. 5 - 8 worked, 1; 3; 5 not).  Then I inserted both variables, multiple values & interval, into the planning function as well as in the button group in WAD for executing the PF but was not able to execute the following example: 1; 8; 4 - 6. After trying out for some time I figured out that one has to type in the figures in the following order: 4 - 6; 1; 8. Only then I am able to execute the planning function for the months April-June & Jan & August. So, if you're facing the same problem in the future, maybe you have the solution

  • Input Help (F4) does not work for Planning Functions in Web

    Hi Gurus,
I am working in BI-Integrated Planning.
When I execute a planning function from web layout (through Web Application Designer), the "Input Help" does not work. When I give F4 it takes me to the initial planning layout screen from the planning function variable screen without any action being performed.
But the "Input Help" works fine when I have to select for the variable from the initial selection to open the planning layout.
Can anyone suggest me any fix for this...
    Thanks!!!

    Hi All,

  • Cal Day input help not calendar but list of entries in infoprovider?

    Good Day,
is there any setting in BEX or on the infoobject defintion that changes the behaviour of the input help?
We got the requirement that for a loaddate field (referencing 0CALDAY) not the calendar as input help should be displayed (when user clicks input help or presses F4 in the query filter) but a list of load dates that are in the info provider.
All replies are appreciated and points assigned.
    Best regards,
    Axel

    Hello Axel,
As long as the InfoObject is of Type Date or Reference a Date InfoObject, you will get a calendar popup when you try selecting the value in the Selection screen.
If your requirement is to have a list format, then you could try creating a new InfoObject of Type DATS.
Another approach would be to create a new InfoObject of Type CHAR 10. Write a routine in the transformation to populate this. You need to store it as YYYY.MM.DD, if you want it to appear in Chronological order in the Selection Screen.
    Hope this helps you out.

  • HOW to Restrict the input Help for 0MATERIAL in the BPS Layout

    Hi,
I have requirement to Restrict the input Help for 0MATERIAL  in the BPS Layout.
For Example if the Planning Package is Restricted to SALES ORGANISATION ( 3000 )  then the system shuold  check the 0MAT_SALES  where SALES ORGANISATION IS "3000" )AND PASS THE Material Numbers to the 0material list.
I have Copied the standard Funtcion group  "UPF_VARIABLE_USER_EXIT"  to Z fucttion and have attached to Z Variabe as User Exit .
this Variable is  Attached to 0material in the Planning Pakage. So tha now the 0MATERIAL is restricted to the variable which is having the User Exit.
But how to acces the Values of Planning Package for which the Layout is bein Executed from this Z User Exit ???
I Know how to restrict the input help, but my only problem is that how to get the values of Planning package through this User Exit.
Please suggest if it is possible.
    Regards,
    Nilesh Labde

    Hi Nilesh,
As I understand from your question, you know how to restrict but the issue is to know the value in the package with which you need to restrict.
There are two tables which can help you finding the value used in package for sales organisation:
    1. UPC_PACKAGE
    2. UPC_OPTIOS
    How to use ?
From UPC Package you will get one GUID, Hit the second table UPC_OPTIOS with this GUID.
In field "FIELDNAME" enter the name of the characteristic whose value is req (sales organisation in your case)
    Hope this helps you

  • Pls help me to track post print event in reports 10g (web layout)

I am displaying a report on the web using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT built in after calling it from Forms. I want to update some attribute in the database after the report is printed. Where can i place the update statement.
note:I dont need solution for the reports printed using paper layout.
    Thanks in advance.

Mr. Marcos, The problem is After-Report trigger will fire when the report is printed in paper layout. when the same report is printed in web layout the After-Report is not firing. It seem that the update code should be included in the Web-Source tab in Object Navigator but I don't know how to script it.

  • Help for fixed columns in web layout

    Hi all,
I'm facing the problem of Fixing the column of web layout,I know there's a post of solving this,
      Fixed Rows/Columns in Web Interfaces
but all the download links in this post are expired, could any one send me the file or the how to documents to [email protected]? thank you very much!
       thank you all.

    Denny,
The easiest way is to use the Microsoft OWC (office Web component) and you can have Excel on the web where you have to publish the layouts for the web.
If not, and you use pure web, Olaf Fisher's paper might be published as a how to guide by now.  I would suggest a search on SDN.  I have downloaded the file a long time ago but I think it is on the server in the office.

  • Performance Problems with Web Layouts in web interface

    Hello Gurus,
We have a a BPS web interface tool which has the following design:
1> A web interface with several tabs
2> Each tab has around 3-4 input layouts which are dependent on each other
3> In all there are 120-140 layouts that the tool uses...
My questions were in term of performance
1> Is there a limit to how many web layouts you can use per page/tab/view or if SAP recommends specific number of web layouts per page/tab/view ?
2> If there is a limitation...our intention was to convert all the display layouts into BW reports so as to increase the performance of the tool....
3> Would like to know the restriction on the number of users who can log into the tool as a specific point of time ? We may have 50-60 minimum using this tool.
I would appreciate your help in this regard.

  • How to open a Query in BPS Web-Layout

    Hello,
i am new to BPS. How can I open a Query in BPS Web-Layout so that I can enter plan data manually??
Pls give me the procedure and not links to help.sap.com. Thanks.
    pls help,
    SD

    Hi.
You can open bex query in BPS Web Layout, but you should update data via BPS layout.
In BPS Bex query can be opened only for display as long as BPS doesn't allow input via query (only BI7+IP).
In BPS Web Interface builder add subcomponent "text", set HTML=TRUE, goto property "text", press F4->edit long text and enter HTML tags IFRAME with URL of bex query.
    Regards.
