Calendar Invitations Not Showing in "Inbox"

Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to get my iCloud Calendar to work on my iPhone 5 with iOS8.  You'd think this would be pretty straightforward, but apparently not!
This worked great when my wife and I were both using Exchange hosted email accounts from our ISP.  I'm trying to drop the Exchange hosting for my account and if I can do so successfully, my wife will likely do the same, but I'm running into some issues here!
Problem: (after removing Exchange account keeping Outlook.com and iCloud accounts)
When creating a new Calendar item and inviting my wife, she doesn't receive any email with an invite to the Calendar item.
When my wife creates a new Calendar item in Outlook on her computer running Windows 8.1 and sends me the invite (to either my iCloud or Outlook accounts), I receive it in email, but it doesn't show up in the Calendar "Inbox" for me to "Accept" the item.  If I open the invite in the email all I can do is "Add to Calendar".  Again, this worked fine when trying to use my Exchange hosted email account.
Config:
I have an iCloud and Outlook.com email addresses with the Outlook one setup as my iTunes ID and my iCloud account setup as an alternate email.
On my iPhone I have iCloud setup to sync everything
In my Mail config for my Outlook.com account on the phone, I have it set for Mail only (no Calendar).
My goal is to use the default iCloud Calendar for myself and the Family Calendar for us to share.  However, there will be times when I will need to invite my wife or kids to items in my main Calendar so I need this to work!
If I turn on Calendar syncing for my Outlook.com email in iOS then Calendar invites to that address work as expected and show up in the Calendar "Inbox".  I've tried removing all of my accounts and only leaving my iCloud account on the phone and still having the exact same issue.  Any ideas?  This is really frustrating!
Thanks,
-Jeff

I have the same problem and also a few guys in this thread Issue using Google Calendar on iOS 8 (iPhone 6)

  • Calendar invites not showing up in icloud email

    Hi all -
I gave my son an 8GB 4th gen iPod Touch this week and went about setting it up for him. I can send calendar invites from is iPod to our email addresses, but am stumped o

I am having the same problem. Mail, note & tasks work perfectly, but no iCloud calendars show in my Outlook.
Are recommending reinstalling iCloud completely to get it to work?
Is there something that can be done directly from my Outlook? It synces perfecty on iCloud.

  • Outlook calendar invitations not showing in email

    I use Outlook with OSX10.9.5.
When I receive calendar invites, they don't come up in my email, so unless I scroll through my calendar looking for them, I don't know I've been invited. I used to get emails but suddenly they've stopped.  I've gone through preferences with a fine tooth comb and can't find anything related to this.  Please help.

Yes, all of my recurring events that do sync were created years ago in Outlook and I had no problem syncing them to my Blackberry Bold way back when. Initially when I got my iphone 4, everything synced both ways and then this year I got an iPad and intitally everything synced with it via iTunes/outlook with no problem. I've only noticed this problem within the last month or so and it drove me crazy. I reset both my ios devices but I refuse to uninstall and reinstall Outlook or iTunes. I've seen tons of posts on here that say it afffects the cloud, exchange servers and itunes so it's not just us. I've sent feedback to Apple and received no response. Others have too. Apple is aware of it and doesn't have a clue what to do about it. It now affects other events for me so I'm thinking maybe it has to do with default reminders and other things between Outlook and the ios devices. Maybe and update to iTunes or ios6 will change that, who knows. I still love my iPhone and would't go back to Blackberry; it's just way to slow for me.

  • CalDAV invitations not showing up in iOS calendar

I'm trying to get my CalDAV based calendar invitations to show up in the iOS calendar. For some reason, iOS Mail doesn't recognize them them as invites in my inbox. I'm using two separate CalDAV calendars here, one is coming from Google, the other from my private CalDAV server. Both accounts are syncing just fine, but invitations sent via email do not get recognized and aren't ending up in the calendar inbox.
I'm missing meetings because of this, is there any way to fix this?

Oh? May I ask what it was and perhaps how it was fixed?
I am running into the same problem.
    Thanks!

    Hi
I have the a similar problem - only I can't actually get the calendar to show up. I've added the account and it's showing Mail and Notes but not Calendar. But I'd like it to show the outlook calendar.
    I'm going to
Go to settings > mail contacts calendar
    select your account that's affected
But under that account there isn't a calendar showing and I can't see any options to add it?

  • Ios 7 calendar does not show events 2 years in the future

Why does ios 7 calendar does not show events 2 years in the future?
I've entered the events more than twice and it all shows up in the OSX calendar but not on my iphone.

Just tested it works even 3 years ahead.
Tap Calendars (bottom, middle) is All iCloud selected (tick mark)?

  • Calendar Widget Not Showing Upcoming Events

I've upgraded to the latest N900 firmware (pr1.2) and ever since I have had a problem with the calendar widget. All the events are contained in the calendar when I open it however they are not displayed on the desktop widget.
I've got events loaded for the month of June but for some reason these are not showing. Instead I have events showing for July, September and even December. I've tried removing all the entries and the re-adding them but this hasn't solved the problem. I also created another calendar and placed the entries in the new one, again this didn't work.
Does anybody have any idea how I can resolve this problem.

I have exactly the same problem with the Calendar Widget not showing all upcoming events. It will show events way in the future but skip events inbetween. I've tried all day with PC Suite 7.1 and Outlook 2007 and some freshly entered events come across for unknown reasons whilst others do not. No amount of changing local entries to synchronized ones, deleting all calendar info from the phone and re-syncing by USB cable or Bluetooth solves the problem.
It worked fine before and, as you say, corresponds with the recent n900 software update.
I SINCERELY HOPE NOKIA READ THESE BULLETIN BOARDS.
Also, why isn't there a fully compatible PC Suite or Ovi Suite for the n900? I have a PC running Windows 7 and Nokia have told me in the past that they do not have a fully functional, compatible PC/Ovi Suite for Windows 7 and the n900.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT

  • IOS 7 Calendar does not show appointments imported as VCS files in Microsoft Outlook / Exchange. Any solutions?

iOS 7 Calendar does not show appointments imported as VCS files in Microsoft Outlook / Exchange in Windows 7. I discovered this when downloading itinerary.vcs files from Delta to mark flights in my calendar. The work around I found is as follows:
Open the VCS file, this will create a Calendar entry in your Outlook,
Open the created Outlook Calendar entry, go to File -> Save As and then select to save as ICS file.
Delete original VCS-created appointment in your calendar to avoid multiple calendar.
    Open the re-saved ICS file.
Appointment will now correctly synchronize with your iPhone iOS 7 calendar.
If anyone has better alternatives to this process, please help out. Hopefully, Apple will fix this with the next iOS update.

  • My calendar does not show map or weather

I installed Mavericks, but Calendar does not show weather, map, or travel time.

It may well be that Calendar.app refuses to access Google, but why would it need to if the new Maps.app in Mavericks is what it should be (and is) working with? Pasting in a complete, legitimate address should yield a map, no ifs ands or buts. That's why I filed a bug report at http://www.apple.com/feedback/ical.html . It might be helpful if others did the same. (All duplicates are coalesced within a bug reporting system by the triage manager. Duplicate reports demonstrate that folks consider it important -- that's in lieu of being able to vote on a bug, since Apple doesn't open up their bug tracking system to the public. If we don't file bug reports, but just yap about our complaints in these discussion groups, Apple won't track our issues.)

  • Post-Snow Leo Upgrade: Calendar Invites Not Working in Mail

In Mail, anytime I get a calendar invite, it shows up above the header with the nifty iCal icon, the meeting details and the options to accept, decline or maybe it. Click and accept all I want, but the meeting invite NEVER propagates over to iCal.
We just upgraded to 10.6.2 to take advantage of the Exchange protocol.

  • Some Google calendar entries not showing up on phone

On a couple of occaisions, I've had a whole day of Google Calendar entries not show up on my Palm Pre. Today, just this mornings entries showed up, but the two entries I have for this afternoon don't show up on my phone. I've tried syncing manually a couple of times. I've tried syncing over EVDO/Data only (turned off wireless). I've tried deleting an entry, re-adding it, and re-syncing and no joy.
    What now?
UPDATE: So, once I got home I looked into changing to syncing via EAS. I didn't like some of the 'features' of that route, so I went nuclear. I deleted the gmail account from the Calendar application and re-added it. After syncing completed, I found my missing entries... So, anyone got any ideas of additional data to collect?

Deleting my gmail account and re-adding it does not clear up the problem, it hides the symptoms. What if it didn't work, do I reinstall the OS? I've had two occurences of this--none of last Friday's calender entries were in my calendar and yesterday afternoon's entries were missing. There is a root cause and it needs to be found and sorted.
I missed a meeting yesterday because my phone did not sync up with my Google calendar. This is a fundamental feature of of the Palm WebOS smartphones. Calendar syncing is a fundamental feature of all smartphones and a smartphone that doesn't do this is no longer smart.
Are there other people who have seen this symptom? Is there something I can do to _help_ gather data for the Synergy team to find the root cause?

droid razr maxx calendar does not show up on gmail calendar even though it says that it has synced?

I had this same issue. I solved it finally by downloading the free "official" google calendar disabling the phone calendar app (Google Calendar - Android Apps on Google Play) and disabling the phone calendar. Then you need to choose your gmail account to sync with your calendar app. Now my entries on the phone are showing up on my PC.

  • My calendar will not show invites from others

When I am sent an appointment invite and I accept it it does not show up in my calendar.  It use to a few months ago.  I have MacBook Pro adn IPad as well and they don't show up on any of the devices.

Are you both using the same Apple ID on both devices?

  • Calendar does not show "Invite Participants"

Hi, I miss the button to invite participants to a calendar entry I made. I do know that others have this functionallity on 4.0.2. What's needed?

An MS Exchange or MobileMe account. Those are the only accounts that support calendar invitations.

  • Exchange calendar invites not synching

We have an iPad 2 (iOS 5.1.1) that is having calendar sync issues with Exchange (2010) calendar invites.  The issue is, when an invite is processed in Outlook, it stays in the iPad calendar “inbox” as if it has not been processed.  Some of the events will have the correct response shown (accepted, tentative, declined), others will not show any type of response.
Doing some web searches, it seems that there is a known issue with the iOS 5, but I’m curious if you know when this will be fixed, or if there is a work-around?
By removing the calendar from the mail account on the iPad, it resyncs all events correctly, but over time the invite issue comes back…
Anyone seen this or have a work-around?

I'm not sure this is what you want to hear, but we tell our users to accept all invitations for meetings they want to attend regardless of where they appear...
