Calendar invites blank in email body

Multiple people from multiple companies have sent me calendar invitations, but when the email appears in Thunderbird, the subject line is correct, but the email body is completely blank. I looked at the source and it looks like the senders are using Exchange Server.
If I log into Gmail to view the email, it is displayed properly as a Google Calendar invite that I can accept and add to my calendar.

Hi Prashanth,
Will this still work if I never no the name of my attachments. The attachments I am emailing come from a PO document the user created. They can attach any document type they want and also any number of documents. So although the word document is the first attachment on this test the next test could have an XLS or PDF document first. The only consistent thing would be the XML payload.
Here is a screen shot of the email I receive when using XIPAYLOAD:
http://www7.spread-it.com/dl.php?id=67eff454ac897e1533638f6548e5a1ca22722323
Everything is perfect but I would like to either clear out the SOAP message from teh body or move the XML payload into the body. Either way works for me.
Cheers

  • Calendar invites going to email not iCal

My family relies heavily on calendar invites, it's how we all sync our schedules and know what's going on when, who needs to be where, etc.  Several months ago when sending an invite to my daughter from my Outlook calendar she was no longer receiving the invites to accept.  I found a work around of sending the inviteto her iCloud.com address instead of her outlook.com address.  When sending an invite to her iCloud email the event would automatically pop up in her phone calendar inbox (she would get an audible alert and the red 1 circle would show up on her phone calendar), she could accept and the event would then be on her calendar.
Fast forward a few months, I got an invite from my husband to my gmail.com accnt as always and instead of allowing me to decline or accept via email on my phone like it always had, the invite shows up in my email as a mime-attachment.ics attachment.  In the past I could accept the invite, but it goes to my gmail calendar which I never use and not my iPhone calendar.  The event doesn't show up on my iPhone calendar, but I will get a reminder from gmail on my phone at the time the event is due (which is not helpful, I need the events on my phone calendar, not my gmail calendar.  I don't even know how to view my gmail calendar and I need to know of appointments before they're due).  I've always used my gmail account on my phone and it is also my apple ID.  There must have been an update somewhere along the way where things changed.  So, I created an iCloud.com accnt and when my husband sends the invite from his Outlook on his laptop to myiCloud.com address it's still going to my email and not my calendar on my phone.  Now, when I click on the attachment to accept it closes out my email and takes me to my home screen.  I know that my phone calendar is working.  If I add events via my laptop in Outlook they will sync to my phone.  And if my older kids send me a calendar invite from their iPhones, it will pop up in my iPhone calendar and I can accept and the event goes onto my phone calendar. I need to know how/where people who do not have an iPhone should send me invites so they show up in my iPhone calendar. I have an iPhone 5S with IOS 8.1.

Any help out there?  All I use is Apple, need Google calndar to go away...

  • Why are calendar invites coming through email

I've searched support & found one thing that said to check the box in preferences/advanced, but it was already checked.  I used to get all my calendar invites through notifications in my calendar, now they are coming to email.  If I press accept on the email it opens it up in safari.  I didn't realize I had to then press the download button to get it in my calendar.
BUT WHY?  Why the change?  My husband & friends still get theirs in their notifications, why did mine change & how do I get it back?
    PLEASE HELP!!!

Was your phone locked with the screen dark when you got the text?
DND only applies in that case. If you're using the phone (unlocked, screen on) Apple assumes it's ok to ring your phone, issue alerts, etc. as normal. I don't agree with that, but that's how it works by design.
And, also note that if you have an Alarm set, it is played thru the speaker whether DND is active or your Ring/Silent switch is set to silent. Alarms are always played, unless the phone is powered off.

  • Outlook 2013 / Exchange 2010 Calendar Invitations blank on recipient side

We have Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2013 for our clients.  When our users send calendar invitations to external recipients, some of the recipients are receiving regular emails just containing the notes field and subject.  Specifically, when we email
a @hotmail.com or @outlook.com address this occurs.  However, when we send an external calendar invitation to @gmail.com, the recipient can see it as a calendar invite and reply with an accept/tentative/decline.

    How is everything so far?

  • When sending a calendar invite to any email address (regardless of provider) that is associated with an Apple ID will not get the invite. Any email address not associated with Apple ID will. Why? Using iOS 6.0.1, iPad, iPhone and PC.

I have sent an invite to an email associated to an Apple ID and that email never received the invite. I then changed the email associated with the receiving Apple ID to something new and removed the original email address (the original email address is no longer associated with any apple ID even as the alternate). I then cancelled the first appointment, created a new appointment and again invited the original email address. That original email address then received the canceled appointment notification and the new appointment invite. This problem is not just with my Apple ID (sending or receiving) but several other people that have tested sending iCloud invites to other Apple ID users. Any thoughts?

    Hi Stateler74,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  You might be able to find the Apple ID that her email address is associated with by following this article's instructions:

  • Why can't i send an icloud calendar invitation to an email with an apostrophe in it?

Please help! why can't I send an icloud invitation to an email with an apostrophe in it?

You are not doing anything wrong. Unfortunately, that's just the way that the built in mail app works. It really is a basic no frills mail app with not much to offer compared to other apps.
There are third party apps that let you create groups and email to those groups. I don't use either of these, but I've seen them recommended here in the past.

  • Calendar invite attached to email as mime-attachment.ics now does not open in ios 7.0.3

Calender invitations arriving as email attachments mime-attachment.ics were opening fine but since upgrading to 7.0.3 they do not open - how do I get this working?

    Hi s.kouris,
I'm afraid that unless you are able to contact the previous owner and have him wipe the device, or provide you with his Apple ID password so you can delete the iCloud account, you are out of luck.
With iOS 7, an Activiation Lock was added to deter thieves. This lock prevents anyone but the owner of the device from deleting the iCloud account and restoring the device:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5818
Unless you are able to reach the original owner and get the device wiped or the iCloud account deleted, you are stuck with a brick.
    Sorry,

  • Why won't calendar invitations send via email from iCloud?

i have tried multiple times to send out meeting invitations using my iPad, iPhone 4 and iCloud.com.  No success.  Is there a bug?  When do they expect this functionality to be up and running?  Or am i doing something wrong?  Also, when i accept an invitation via my mobile devices, it won't send a notification to the meeting organizer.  HELP!!!

You might want to go to My Apple ID to manage the ID, then check to be sure the email address is spelled correctly.  (I had this problem my self once and discovered that I had misspelled it.)

  • Calendar invitation via email disappear?

Calendar invitation received via email just disappear without getting into the calendar?
    - How can I change so they will stay in the inbox after I answered the invitation?
    - Can I delete an invitation in the calendar without sending any information back to the person that invited me?

Actually, the recently released Comms Suite Update 5 (7.0.5.0.0) now has iMIP/iTIP support in Convergence 3 which allows users to accept or decline calendar invitations through email.
See New Features in Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite Version 7.0.5.0.0 -> New Features in Convergence 3.0.0.0.0-> iMIP/iTIP Support for more information.

  • Calendar invites not showing up in icloud email

    Hi all -
I gave my son an 8GB 4th gen iPod Touch this week and went about setting it up for him. I got him an icloud email address and started sending calendar invites from my .mac address along with my wife's gmail address. None of these calendar invites show up on his iPod touch. I can send calendar invites from is iPod to our email addresses, but am stumped o

I am having the same problem. Mail, note & tasks work perfectly, but no iCloud calendars show in my Outlook.
Are recommending reinstalling iCloud completely to get it to work?
Is there something that can be done directly from my Outlook? It synces perfecty on iCloud.

  • Outlook calendar invitations not showing in email

    I use Outlook with OSX10.9.5.
When I receive calendar invites, they don't come up in my email, so unless I scroll through my calendar looking for them, I don't know I've been invited. I used to get emails but suddenly they've stopped.  I've gone through preferences with a fine tooth comb and can't find anything related to this.  Please help.

Yes, all of my recurring events that do sync were created years ago in Outlook and I had no problem syncing them to my Blackberry Bold way back when. Initially when I got my iphone 4, everything synced both ways and then this year I got an iPad and intitally everything synced with it via iTunes/outlook with no problem. I've only noticed this problem within the last month or so and it drove me crazy. I reset both my ios devices but I refuse to uninstall and reinstall Outlook or iTunes. I've seen tons of posts on here that say it afffects the cloud, exchange servers and itunes so it's not just us. I've sent feedback to Apple and received no response. Others have too. Apple is aware of it and doesn't have a clue what to do about it. It now affects other events for me so I'm thinking maybe it has to do with default reminders and other things between Outlook and the ios devices. Maybe and update to iTunes or ios6 will change that, who knows. I still love my iPhone and would't go back to Blackberry; it's just way to slow for me.

  • Problems with email calendar invites...

Hopefully I can explain this in a simplified manner.
I use my own domain for email services going back almost 8 years. Under this domain, Our entire family uses the email addresses (2 adults, 2 kids) associated with the domain. Each email address have an iCloud address tied to it however, the iTunes associated email for apps/music is shared across all devices. (My wife and I share our contacts/calendar)
For some reason I have not been able to get email notifications to work with calendar in any of the last 2 Mac OS. What am I missing here? Does it just not work by sending a notification to a non iCloud email even though it is associated with it? It seems to work if I add my work exchange mail for example.
    Cheers

  • When I create a Calendar Invite .... Example 3:00 ... the email the invitee receives says 7:00 pm GMT but when she accepts is shows the correct time of 3:00pm.   How can this be fixed so the email and calendar are in sync?

When I create a Calendar Invite (Example 3:00 pm EST) ... the email the invitee receives reads 7:00 pm GMT.   But when she opens her calendar the time is posted correctly.   How can I get the email and calendar to show the same time?

Internally, all calendar items are based on GMT... That's how you can send an invitation to someone in a different time zone, for a conference call, for example, and end up on the phone at the same time even though you may be many hours apart by the clock...

  • How do i automatically import ics calendar invitations from email into apple calendar?

how do i automatically import ics calendar invitations (sent from Windows computer - Outlook) from email into apple calendar?

From Calendar Help. The only two ways listed are using the Import command or a drag and drop.
    Import events into a calendar
If you want, create a new calendar for the events.Add or delete a calendar
Choose File > Import > Import.
Locate and select the calendar file that contains the events, and then click Import.
Choose the calendar you created or another calendar to add the events to.
You can also drag a .ics file to Calendar. The events in the file are added to the calendar that’s highlighted in the Calendar list.
You might be able to set up and Automator action to do it for you.

  • How do I choose which email address to send a calendar invite from?

I use iCalendar for business.  I don't want to send company calendar invites with my personal @.mac account.  Years ago I had a Bberry and could choose which email address to send it from while creating a meeting in the calendar.  Is this not possible with Apple Technology?

Open Mail app. Click where it says mail on the upper left corner of the screen, choose preferences choose accounts tab on the top then select the account you don't want anymore and click the - button at the bottom.
