Calendar is messed up

Just for the record, it's really weird that the "post a new topic" button is no where discovered as soon as you're looking at the topics...unless someone wants to point it out where that **** button is.
I checked my calendar, Outlook 2003, and there are no birthday's listed. So when I sync with my iPod, it puts birthdays for some strange reason. Plus, it's just two individuals and no one else...and they're listed multiple times...
How do I fix this problem? Better yet, is there a function that deletes the appointments on the calendar, one by one?

HA... I figured out how to fix it!  Thanks anyways   It was really quite easy and just a few clicks.  Not sure how it all happened but it is all good now!

  • IPhone/MobileMe calendars sync mess

I have the same calendar that is supposed to sync my two computers and iPhone with MobileMe calendar. What happens is that when I make changes to the calendar on my iPhone it does not affect MobileMe. How do I make iPhone calendar sync with MobileMe? Thanks.

    On the iPhone got to:
Setting-> Mail, Contacts, Calendars->Under Accounts choose your MobileMe account.
Make sure the slider for Syncing Calendars is switched on.
If it is then it's the settings on the computer(s). Make sure you are logged into the MobileMe "Dashboard". Windows (under Control Panel). Mac would be System Preferences and MobileMe (make sure to check the Calendar sync).
Let me know if this helps.

  • Calendar is messed up after upgrading to Mavericks

I just updated to Marerick and now my calendar is all crazy!  I have multiple entries of the same activity and it makes no sense!  For example, my daughter has volleyball practice every Monday and Wednesday evening.  When I set up her schedule I used to just schedule a date and set it up to repeat weekly.  Well, now it looks like it is repeated every single day multiple times.  What the heck is going on and how do I fix it?  I literally have 9 occurences of her volleyball practice listed under today's date and the same goes for every single day of the week.  HELP!!!

  • My calendar is messed up

For some reason, my calendar is showing 2556 BE. When I scrolled back to April 2013BE, the dates are off by a day. Not sure what I have done to this calendar, but I can't get it set back to here and now in the present time.

Hi, you just need to go to settings - general - International and change the calendar to Gregorian. It sounds like yours is set to buddhist.
    Hope this helps

My Contacts and Calendar are messed-up on my iPhone with literally hundreds of duplicate and erroneous entries.  The data is okay on my PC so I wish to clear the IPhone entries completely and then use Sync again to download from my PC.  How can I clear the iPhone files?

  • I have a iPad 3 calendar problem

I have a iPad 3 and running iOS 7.0.4 and my calendar is messing around - everytime I open it, it suspends the calendar and if I reopen from shortcuts it just shows for a second and then suspends again. Any suggestions?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

  • HT1692 Syncing calendar between laptop and iPad mini

I can't sync my calendar between my laptop and iPad mini. I don't want to use iCloud, especially as when I tried it, all my entries were duplicated, which took up the whole calendar. Other apps will sync, but the calendars refuse. What can I do?

YOu can sync via iTUnes and not use iCloud. When you connect your iPad to your computer  look for the 'info' tab. Then when you scroll down you should see the option to sync your calendar. Tap on that and sync and you can sync your calendar without messing with iCloud.
Alternatively, its not quite syncing, but you can export your calendar from the calendar program, e--mail it to yourself, open that mail on your device and then save your calendar info from there.
I've had to do it both of those ways because I export my work calendar and can't sync with my work computer, also when I upgraded to windows 8.1, iCloud wasn't compatible for about a month or two so I would have had a blank calendar for that time.

  • Overriding iPhone calendar into iCal

How do I override calender synching between my iPhone and desktop Mac iCal so that the calendars on my iPhone replace those in iCal?
It seems as part of the MobileMe debacle, my desktop iCal calendars are messed up with alot of erroneous entries. Those on my iPhone (original version, sw 2.0) remain correct. When I try to sync thru iTunes, the erroneous iCal entries are added to my iPhone - and if I delete the calendar in iCal and sync, it erases that calendar on my iPhone.
I can get the calendar back by restoring from backup on my iPhone, but I can't seem to figure out how to make the iPhone data override iCal - like the good ol' days with a Palm when you could direct the hotsync conduits.
    Any thoughts?

Turn off calendar sharing in settings > iCloud, you will be prompted to keep your calendars on your phone when you do so. You can then turn calendar sharing on, when you do so you will be prompted to merge your calendars.

  • How do I automatically Sync IPod Touch with Outlook Calendar?

I am looking for ways to automatically sync my IPod Touch with my Outlook Calendar.  I used to be able to do this with MobileMe but the new MobileMe calendar has messed it all up.  The MobileMe calendar's interface with Outlook makes it so that I would have to manage two separate calendars.  All I want to be able to do is enter events into my IPod touch and have it sync with Outlook without my having to do it manually.  Anyone know of another software that I could use?

    Hi,
I don't know about syncing what you put on your iPod's Calendar to Outlook, but under Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars, you can sync Outlook with your iPod.
    Hope this helps!

  • Can I turn my mess around?  Entourage and iCal

I've got myself in a right mess! I noticed that my Entourage was not keeping permanently synced with iCal - and therefore my iPhone was entirely out of sync. I therefore deleted the iCal entires and re imported from Entourage - but that left both calendars very messed up and all sorts of bizarre entries. all colour codes lost - a real mess. I tried time machine to bring back my Entourage as it was yesterday - but it doesn't appear to have worked. I now have another icon for Entourage 'original' but is it the same as the current one. How do I restore my Entourage to a specific time from yesterday? I have not yet managed to use time machine and I guess I have done it completely wrong... Thank you for your help. SM

Yes - I can! Apple Care helped me - thanks I have now reset to a good time yesterday. Now I need a sync expert to help me with my iCal/Entourage settings - anyone know where to go for this help?

  • IPad calendar problems when syncing with new operating system

I downloaded iOS snow leopard to my computer and then when I performed a sync with my IPAD the calendar got messed up with several old appointments and things cluttering it up.  Is there a way to revert back to what I had before I performed the sync?

    Hi Techno bozo!
You should see if you have a backup of your device in iTunes. If you do, you can restore from that backup and get the correct information as it was at that time back onto your iPad. This article can help explain a little about restoring from a backup:

  • IPad won't sync; instead tells me it's syncing for 2 seconds without result

    Hey
    Here's my problems:
My iPad won't sync to my computer
My iPad's system time and calendar are messed up after the failed sync
    What happens:
Once I connect my iPad to my PC with iTunes open, it starts to sync
Two seconds later, iTunes tells me the sync is finished
Nothing new appears on my iPad, and my the time and calander are messed up
    What I've tried:
manual sync (only works for music)
    reboot computer
    reboot iPad
    uninstal and reinstal iTunes
Info (I'm not sure if all of this is relevant):
I just switched from a 32 bit Windows XP to a 64 bit Windows 7 computer
My iTunes is also 64 bit
I'm using a different iTunes account than I was before, and I've successfully downloaded books and music with it on my iPad
The iTunes library is in the right place (it's on an external hard drive, just like it was on my old computer); I can see and play the music on my computer
I have an iPad 1, latest software update available; it's about two years old
My computer runs on 110 volts, and my iPad runs on 220 volts (I baught my iPad in europe and moved to the US a few weeks ago; I use an adapter to recharge it, which works fine)
I've tried different USB ports, all directly in my computer
Thanks for reading all this :/ Hope anyone knows whats wrong. Thanks

    SOLVED
It turned out I still had apps installed from my previous iTunes account (Apple ID), which I deleted and re-installed using the new account. After that, it worked perfectly

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!!! iCal keeps shutting down.

I have posted twice already, but am getting no replies at all. I really am at a loss what to do as I am not very experienced at all with computer problems.
I hooked my iPhone up to computer and when sync-ing iCal it came up with some conflicts that made no sense - such as Monday 22 June conflicted with Monday 23 June. I clicked on sync according to the correct date and since then iCal just closes every time I try to open it up on my computer. iCal on my iPhone is still ok. I have sent 'report problem to Apple' but this doesn't really help me.
I am hoping that there must be something I can do to try and resolve this. And I am really really hoping someone can advise me.
    Thank you . Linda

I think I have the answer. At the least, it did solve MY problem.
To restate, iCal somehow got corrupted on one of my machines. My iPhone and MobileMe calendars were fine. Over time, however, it became apparent that the corruption must have been on MobileMe and I eventually screwed up iCal on my three computers. I tried everything I could think of, including calling AppleCare, but nothing worked. I could delete everything related to iCal on the computer, and it would still end up crashing on restart. (Eventually I even screwed up MobileMe - I must have accidentally let one of the corrupt computers resync the calendar, which messed up the "good" one on the server.)
Finally, I went to the Apple Store and duplicated the process. I deleted everything and we watched it crash anyway. Curiously, the source files in the ApplicationSupport folder regenerated themselves out of nowhere. This gave the support guy an idea - he figured that the corrupted files must be stuck in the SyncServices folder/system. We reset that system, deleted everything, and now iCal cold start and not crash and not regenerate crap. Fortunately, I had a not too old backup of my calendar database, so it wasn't THAT hard to get current again.
    Here is what I did (on 10.4 - 10.5 is a different process - look here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627)
    1) Turn off .Mac syncing in .Mac prefs if active
    2) Backup or export Address Book (just in case). I'd tell you to backup your iCal database, but since it is crashing, I don't know if that is possible.
    3) Open the Terminal and execute this command:
    killall SyncServer syncuid SystemIUServer
    4) Remove the ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices folder
    5) I'd also remove all the iCal related materials. It is up to you if you want to delete them. Delete anything iCal related from the ~/Library/Caches, ~/Library/Application Support and ~/Library/Preferences folders
    6) Reboot
Now try to launch iCal. If it stays alive and you have a backup, restore the backup. If you have a good copy on MobileMe, turn .Mac syncing back on and click on the Advanced tab on the .Mac prefs page and then click on the Reset Sync Data button. Choose to Replace your Calendar data on your computer with the data on .Mac.
Again, this all worked with 10.4.11. I don't know what it looks like with 10.5. I was afraid that it would overwrite my iPhone calendar, but it synced the phone and new calendar perfectly and I am a happy camper now!
    Hope this helps!!

  • I cannot get I Cloud to open on my PC

I have loaded I Tunes and then loaded I Cloud but I Tunes quits working after I've loaded I Cloud and i can't open I Cloud then either!  I have Window 7 and Outlook 2007

I recommend using one or the other BUT STAY AWAY FROM USING BOTH. I use Windows 7, Outlook 2007 and my new iPhone 4S. iCloud was turned on by an Apple Store tech 2 weeks ago. Last week after I had added a few calendar appointments I decided it was time to sync and have these appointments show up in both places..
Not having been told otherwise I synced using my cable and Itunes. Since my iPhone is the only Apple device I own and I do not use MS Exchange Server there was nothing  from Apple to indicate that I should not. When the sync didn't copy the new items from one device to another I called Apple. Now, after several lengthy calls to APL CARE, my calendars are messed up with some items duplicated, some missing and I cannot sync reliably and error free between my pc and phone, neither by cable/iTunes nor by the iCloud. And APL CARE has stated it is not their problem, to contact Outlook, and hung up levaing me to deal with the mess.
Please use extreme caution. I'm a small business owner and rely heavily on my calendar and contacts. This is hurting me badly. I had intended to add a credit card processing app to my phone, but am now terrified to do so.
