Calendar is missing events?

Hi,
When I tell Siri:
"Remind me that I have a doctors appointment tomorrow at 14:00".
I look on the calendar and the appointment is not there.
What am I doing wrong?
It's simple: I say "remind me to x on x date", I look at the calendar and it's not there.
Do I have to say a code or something first?

Welcome to the Support Communities!
This can be a little confusing at first, but there are actually two different apps on your iPhone -- one is called Reminders (like a "To Do" list) and the other is the Calendar app -- for making actual appointments or events.
So, based on your question above ... you would want to make sure your iPhone is set to military time and then ask Siri to create an event if you want it to appear on your calendar.

If you launch Siri by holding the Home button, and then tap on the question mark in the bottom left corner, then tap on Calendar, you will see some common commands like:
"New appointment with Susan Friday at 3"

Calendar search misses events

I have a monthly repeating event which has been running for about three years. If I do a search for it, some events are missing - invariably June, July & August each year but sometimes May too - the others are there. I've forced Spotlight to re-index and double checked the entries exist (and their spelling) but still no luck. Obviously no major issue with this search but I'm wondering if other searches are innacurate.

All calendars are missing in ISO7

Since upgrading my software to 7 all of my calendars are missing in the Calendar App. They are still located in the settings but when I open Cal and try to select them there isn't a single one listed!

After upgrading to 7, all my appointments and events that I have put in calendar do not show up until I make an appointment with an alarm then it will show everything that I have entered into the calendar. Once I close the calendar out and go back into it, the calendar doesn't show them again.

ICloud on the web is missing events on iCal, iPhone and iPad

I am using iCloud to sync 3 calendars between my Mac, iPhone and iPad. Bizarrely, all of the events are perfect in iCal on my Mac as well as on the iPad and iPhone. However, when using iCloud's Calendar app on the web it is a patchwork of random events missing. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
Also, with iCal running on the Mac, my Calendar app of choice, Fantastical, displays all of the events perfectly. Once I quit iCal, I get the same random missing events as the web app. Yet, Calendar, Fantastical and any other calendar apps on both my iPhone and iPad always display all the events properly.
This has been driving me crazy. I tried exporting all of my calendars locally, deleting everything on iCloud, creating new calendars and merging in the old data. I got the same end result. I also tried importing the old calendars as completely new ones (not merged) and got the same missing events.
If anyone has any suggestions of something I may have missed, I would be eternally grateful. I can't afford to lose any of my calendar data.

Sign into your account on icloud.com, click on your name, then click on Time Zone. Check that it is the correct time zone and the selected citiy is near your location.

Unable to edit "calendar" field of events with invitees

I am having a couple problems with the "calendar" drop-down field on calendar events.
This is on a 4S, iOS5, syncing calendars with iCloud.
If I create an event with an "invitee" (or add an invitee to an existing event), I can no longer change the "calendar" field of that event. In fact, the "calendar" drop-down doesn't even appear on the iPhone calendar app's "Edit" dialog for events that have an invitee. I can still change it via the web interface at www.icloud.com, and the change is even pushed to the iPhone. But on the iPhone itself, I cannot find a way to change the "calendar" field on an event that contains one or more "invitees".
Second, if I receive an "invitation" from someone else, I cannot find a way specify which of my calendars I want the event on when accepting it. I would expect it to go to the calendar I have defined as "default" in Settings, but it seems instead to go to the last calendar I created. And after accepting it, I cannot change it because the "Edit" dialog doesn't display the "calendar" field, as mentioned above. Again, I can change it via the web interface at www.icloud.com, but cannot find a way to change it directly on the iPhone.
Am I missing some way to edit/change the "calendar" field of an event with invitees? Or to select which calendar I want events to be on when I "accept" invitations from others?

I have the same problem. I recently updated to iOS5 and set up syncing through iCloud.
I was able to add one event into my iphone calendar app, but for the next event that I tried to add, there was no longer the option to choose a calendar and when I tried to add it by tapping "Done," an error message came up: "No calendar is set". and there was no way to select a calendar.
I was able to add the event on my Google Calendar on my laptop (PC), and it synced automatically, but I wasn't able to add any events from the iphone itself because "no calendar is set".
I tried turning off and on the phone and syncing back to my laptop, but the problem persisted.
I deleted the iCloud account on my iphone, and that seemed to fix the problem; I'm able to add events again from the iphone and it's syncing to my Google Calendar.
I then signed on to iCloud and setup syncing again, but turned off syncing everything except photostream, documents&data, and find my iphone since everything else would sync to outlook or internet explorer, neither of which I use.
That might have been the problem. For PC, iCloud will only sync to Outlook and Internet Explorer, and I don't have Outlook setup (can't connect to my work's email server with my account and the IT guys don't know how to fix it or they're too lazy to troubleshoot) and I only use Firefox and Chrome. Since iCloud isn't syncing to any calendars on Outlook, there aren't any calendars set...
I just did this a minute ago and everything seems to be back to normal, including the ability to choose a calendar when adding events.
I'll have to see if it the problem comes back

Is it possible to edit the calendar that an event is on from the phone?

iPhone 2.0: I hope I'm not missing something here (though, I guess I hope I am), but is it possible to change the calendar that an event is on, after adding it to iPhone? In other words, first adding to Calendar an event to any of several calendars I have on my phone ("Home," for example), then going back to edit it to change the calendar to "Work," all from the phone itself? Going back to edit an event allows changing Title/Location, Starts/Ends, Repeat, Alert, Notes. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The option to change the calendar in edit mode is missing, which is a glaring oversight by Apple. I really makes no sense to omit this option. I will be very disappointed if it is not added in the next update. You either have to delete and add it as a new event in the proper calendar, or edit it in iCal on the computer.

Are you wanting to import iCal to the MacBook Air. Since iCloud doesn't work with 10.6 OSX you probably don't have any data in iCloud yet?

How do i get calendar syncing recurring events from outlook to iphone to handle daylight saving time

When I sync recurring events of my PC Outlook on to the iPhone calendar they appear one hour later during summer i.e. between Mar 26th and October 27. I have a weekly thing every wednesday at 8pm that appears at 9pm in summer - so outlook seems to be sending the info in UTC time but the IPhone isn't compensating for summer time.

What do you mean "correctly". If I enter a recurring (weekly) event in Outlook at say 8pm every Monday from February till December, then Outlook calendar propagates it at 8pm every Monday from February till December, and I can see it on each Monday regardless of whether it's standard time or summer time. However when I sync with the iPhone calendar through iTunes it transmits just the start date/time and end date, and the iPhone then recreates the series of events (provable because it creates occurences that I have deleted on Outlook). However it propagates the UTC time at the start date, and gets confused by the change to Summer Time in March (and Ocotber). The iphone "corrects" the (UTC) time for Summer Time so it starts at 8pm, all summer the event appears at 7pm, and goes back to 8 in November. I have tested across both boundaries - if a recurrence starts in summer time at 8pm then from November it gets an hour later, 9pm. And you can't solve it by turning off Local Time handling on the iPhone because then all individual events through the summer are an hour out. This is a bug.
Workaround - enter separate recurrent events for each time period, so in a calendar year 3 events: Jan-end March, April-end October, Nov-Dec

It is between Repeat and Alert on my iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.1
I used the + on the top right to add the event and when you look vertically starting with the name, followed by location and then time the rest of the default things includ Invitees, among other items.

Is there a way to automatically update events in the Outlook 2010 calendar when adding events in the iCloud calendar in Outlook 2010?

I am using Windows 7 and Outlook 2010. I have synced my Outlook calendar with my iPhone using the iCloud Control Panel. This is great, but when I add an event in the iCloud calendar in Outlook 2010 and subsequently send out invitations to the event, I get the following error:
"This meeting is not in the Calendar folder for this account. Responses to this meeting will not be tallied. Do you want to send anyway?"
I select "Yes" and the invite goes out. However, when invitees receive the email invitation, there should be 2 emails - one from Outlook and one from iCloud. The iCloud invite does not always come through. If the invitee responds to the Outlook email invite, it does not show up on the iCloud Calendar.
Is there a reason that the iCloud email is not always sent or is there a way to some how update the Windows Outlook Calendar when adding events in the iCloud Calendar through Outlook?

I have just discovered this problem as well.
Very annoying!
Now all off my meetings entered in Outlook on my desktop PC are not syncing with my ipad and iphone.
If I had known this would have happened I would never have downloaded Version 2.0 of the icloud control panel.
Does anyone know how I can get the earlier version back?

Yosemite Calendar - All day events are not showing

I have been using Apple Calendar for quite some time but after I upgraded to Yosemite All day events does not show in the calendar any more. Other events in my calendar is showing.
Environment:
1: I'm on Macbook Pro Retina, running Yosemite 10.10.1
2: Calendar is version 8.0 (2026)
3: I am using Google Calendar, added as account to Calendar
Problem/Bug:
This has been working fine on Maverick until this upgrade and I think it is a bug in Calendar.
1. I tried to add an all day event from Calendar, using my Google account calendar
2. Event is saved, but once saved it isn't shown in Calendar.
3. When I login to my Google account calendar, the event I created just created is shown nicely there!
I then tried adding a new calendar using my iCloud account, but same thing happened:
1. I tried to add an all day event from Calendar, using my iCloud account calendar
2. Event is saved, but once saved it isn't shown in Calendar
3. I once again try, this time by logging into my iCloud account, the event I created just created is shown!
This is really weird and a major issue as all-day events are kind of important to see when you are planning and scheduling meetings.
One additional thing, I'm not sure if it is related, I have Time zone support turned on as I am working across multiple time zones.
Anyone else that have encountered this?

I have the same proble. In all views all day events don't show up. If I search for the event, there is a result but it does not appear in the calendar.

Calendar icon missing on iphone4

so.. i just synced my iphone to icloud, all is good, but the calendar is missing from my start screen and is on icloud. i have no acces to it , only on icloud mode. how can i put it back, like an "icon" (that it was before synced with icloud) on iphone? Thks.

Have you checked that it wasn't accidentally moved into one of your other folders? This is the most common reason for "disappearing" icons that are considered non-deleteable

My calendar deletes all events over 30 days old?

I have been trying to get my calendar to save all past events, not just 30 days. How can I get-r-done?

Compound clips showing as missing events

I started a project on Macpro tower, then copied that project with all it's events and media to a portable hard drive to work on it with my Macbook Pro. I did not import anything into the event for this project while working on the Macbook, but I did create some compound clips. After working on the Macbook, plugged the portable drive into my Macpro tower and copied the project back to the hard drive in the Mac Pro. I performed the copy via drag and drop withinn Final Cut Pro X. I then began to work on the project. I did not re-copy the events and clips back to the Mac Pro tower, because they are all there already.
Now, I find that when I eject the portable drive from the Mac Pro tower, the compound clips show up as a missing event, even though the clips within those compound clips are in the current project. I've tried to re-link the media, but there doesn't seem to be a way to re-link the compound clip. I could just trash the new project, but I've done some work on it that I don't want to lose. Any help would be appreciated.

I am glad you got it working. But something did change. You created compound clips in the Event Library when you added them to your project on the MBPro. When you opened the project on your tower there were no compound clips in the event library without the portable drive connected. Once you copied the new events onto the tower event library FCP was happy and all you need to do is replace the old compounds in the timeline with the new ones.

Missed event monitor with event reset

I have pretty simple request for Scom monitoring, but I don’t know how to do it. My application generates an event in custom log with name Mpis. Event level is Informational, Event ID is 10 and source is Mpis. This event is created every
5 minutes. If application failed, event isn’t created. I have a need to create an alert, if event isn’t created more than one hour and monitor must go into unhealthy state (red). If same event come back, monitor must resolve itself and go back to healthy (green).
I try doing this with missed event monitor with event reset, but they don’t work as I expected, probably because I use the same event for trigger an alert and resolve an alert. Any idea ?

There must be something misconfigured. Missed Event Detection -> Windows Event Reset is the correct one.
Use Event ID 10 and Source Mpis as expression in both Simple Event Expression and Missing Event Expression. in Missing Event Detection, use "Based on fixed simple recurring Schedule" and choose 60 minutes/1 hour.
I have configured this in my environment, and this works perfectly; if no events are logged within an hour, i get an alert. If i then create the event, the alert Closes.
