Calendar items lost - how to find them

Hello - all my saved appointments disappeared from my iPhone calendar except for the I entered most recently. How can I find the remaining items? I did not sync my phone before his happens and do not have a backup of these appointments.

Look for it.
IF you set up find my ipod BEFORE it was lost AND it is on AND it is connected to wi-fi AND it has not been found and restored, then you may be able to get an approximate street address using icloud.
Otherwise, you cannot track it

Why is upgrading software iPhoto such a pain. I've gotta get a presentation done and all I get for my money is roadblock!!!

hello, it sounds like the library is damaged.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

If you moved them to your iPad then they will have been removed from your Mac.  If they are no longer in the iPad's Videos app following the update then you will need to try contacting iTunes support and see if they will let you re-download them : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • I keep taking screen shots but they dont show up on my desktop and i dont know how to find them

    helppp
i keep talking screen shots but they dont show up on my desktop and i dont know how to find them!

I have the same problem. One of the reliable things about Apple OSX, that we could count on screenshots being simple. Then DropBox came along. I suspect DropBox is the culprit here. I don't mind, even am grateful if DB captures my captures, but who gave them permission to totally changes my whole universe!!?

after several years of taking photos(thousands) I seem to have many duplicate photos in iPhoto. How do find them all without going through 10,000 photos? they are mostly scanned photos that I have reused over the years not ones that I have recently uploaded from my camera.
    Thanks whoever can help

Where are you seeing these duplicates?  In the iPhoto window or in the Finder?

When you have a Write window open press F9 to turn on the Contact Sidebar. Select the contact or contacts to send to. Hold the control key while clicking contacts to select more than one. Then use one of the Add To buttons at the bottom.

  • My iphone lost how to find it

Mine iphone 3gs lost how to find mobile IMEI NO ****
    <Edited By Host>

Unless you set up "Find my iPhone" before it was lost (the fact that you ask the question is sufficient clue that you didn't do this), there is no means of finding it except by looking for it or phoning it and listening for it.

    Hi t.romano91,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
I'm not sure why you had to manually enter your contact information, but if you created and turned on your iCloud account, the information should be there.
The link below will give you a general overview of iCloud, and how to look at your contacts:
    iCloud Help: Contacts overview
I've also included the User Guide for the iPhone below to help you get started ...
Please note that the Contacts App (looks like a brown address book) is located inside the Utilties folder on your home screen.  Press and hold the Utilities folder and it will jiggle.  Then drag the Contacts App out onto the home screen for easier access. (see page 20 of the guide below).
    manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Page 100 - 102 explains how the Contacts feature works.
    Enjoy your new iPhone!
    Have a great day!

  • Ive purchased ringtones from itunes.  They were assigned to contacts.  I did the latest update and now now of them are in the list of ringtones.  I've synced twice and they are not on my iphone.  Does anyone know how to find them?

Ive purchased ringtones from Itunes.  They were working before I did the recent update.  I cannot find them on the iPhone and they are no longer assigned - I had five. I have synced several times and does anyone know where they are or how to assign them again?

On your iPhone tap Settings > Store
Make sure Music is switched on.
    Now reset your iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • CS4 reporting incompatible plugins - How to find them?

Help / System Info does not report incompatibilities as I am told by CS4. It only lists plugins.
Or am I wrong? Please point out how to find incompatible plugins in CS4 Photoshop on Mac.

Have you checked out the plug-ins’ File Info?
Adobe’s plug-ins should show the psd-Version, for third party plug-ins you might be able to gather the compatibilities for the respective versions from the producers’ websites.
(Another option might be to remove them from the folder and replace them one by one to identify the affected ones, but maybe that’s better considered as a last resort.)
Have you been transferring plug-ins from older (or newer even) versions of Photoshop to your CS4 plug-ins-folder?

  • Pantone Matching numbers (how to find them???)

Printer is asking for PMS numbers She says..... In Illustrator. Pantone Matching numbers. Your art department has to know what those are.
I can't figure out how to get them... Do all colors have a PMS number? I'm using a red and a blue color and I can only seem to get CMYK values on them...

    Pengh,
    Have a look here:
Jacob Bugge, "PMS Codes - Color Codes" #15, 4 Mar 2008 9:13 am.
If you have CS3 or CS4, look at post #4 in that thread.

  • Re: lost photos and how to find them if possible.

Downloaded some photos a few days ago. Asked at end if I wanted to delete them off camera and did so. Viewed all the photos, rotated them to correct orientation and cropped one so know they have been downloaded. Deleted the rubbish ones to trash (they are still there). Now the photos are no where in iPhoto and have not been restored from time machine. I have not deleted them. There has not been any power failure or reboot. Is there a way /place they might have ended up or an explanation for their disappearance?
Any help would be gratefully received.

    Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4 followed by Option #1 if needed.

  • Computer crashed no ipod backup of purchased items. How to get them back?

My old computer crashed. Before I did I copied my iTunes folder onto my portable hard drive, but I did not make a backup through iTunes, just by copying and pasting using Windows. My ipod is only an 8GB and is not large enough to hold all of the items in my purchased folder. So I can't back up and transfer using my iPod. The only way to access my old hard drive is to use this thing that lets me view it as an external on my new computer. So going back and forth with a little bit of files is not a possibility.
I want to everything to my new computer, but I only have the backup on my hard drive, iTunes seems like the only way to import my music is to go folder by folder, but the items in the purchased folder are all hidden.
Did I completely lose everything I downloaded, or is there a way to get it back? I copied my old itunes folder onto my new computer, but it won't even let my try to use my old libraries that were actually backed up using iTunes. It's going to take forever to go folder by folder to put my music back onto my iTunes, and if all the purchased files are hidden then how could I possibly get them off of my external?

Ok. I sort of figured it out. iTunes had my up-to-date itunes folder hidden under a bunch of other folders, and with all of my purchased files only in this one place. Once I found the file that had all of the information it was fine, I was able to copy everything into itunes on my new computer. It just took forever to find because itunes thought it was being tricky by putting the folders in a weird spot.
There was no purchased folder though, so all of my purchased files are no longer under that part of itunes, which is frustrating.

  • LR RGB percents, how to find them?

Hi, I am LR 2. I would like to check some shadows & highlights to see if they are blown out or hold enough info. In PS I look at the info pallet. LR does show me some values, but how do you convert them so they show up like PS percents? Right now I have to develope the image and take it into PS to see if it OK.
    Thanks

Rich, Thanks for your help.I know there is soft proofing in PS. I could not find it in LR.
    here's a video: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/whats-new-in-lightroom-4/soft-proofing-images/
[Edit: I notice "Lightroom 2" - is that LR4.2, something else, or the much older 2.x? No softproofing in 2.x - an upgrade to current version is strongly recommended, if only for this (grin).]
It has been well implemented IMO, for the purpose intended. One limitation: no CMYK values are available on-the-fly as they can be in PS; LR reports in RGB only.
In LR, if you see a % figure, that is a LR-internal value; if you see a simple number it is an 8-bit RGB value in the output space. However the LR-internal colourspace is at least identical across all images no matter what; so that may be a better basis for reliable comparison of tones etc between images. In PS you have to ask, percentage of what?
