Calendar: Microsoft Exchange badge on Invitations

We have an executive in our company where their admin solely administers their Calendar via Outlook.  The exec has been inadvertantly managing/accepting/declining/etc meetings via the Invitations box on the iPhone Calendar when only the admin should.  They do not recieve the notifications via their Outlook client per an Exchange setup or rule, but they still see the meeting requests via a red badge in the iPhone Calendar.  I've turned off calendar audio alerts and the badge notifier on Calendar so that attention is not brought to it.  Is there a way to turn the badge off on notification or any other suggestions?
Exchange 2010
iOS: 6.0.1
iPhone 4S
Here is a flow(from left to right).
1. New meeting invite is recieved, admin has not accepted yet... Invitations shows a badge(1).  If opened, the reply options offered are Mabey, Accept, Decline.
2. AFTER the admin accepts/manages the meeting invite there is still a badge(1) on Invitations.  However, the dialog prompt of Mabey, Accept, Decline, changes to OK.
The badge under Invitations will not go away until OK is selected.  That tells me that Exchange is properly communicating the status of the invite so I would have to think that the knob/setting to turn would be on the iOS side.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you actually adding your contacts to the correct address book on the phone?
Go into Contacts and tap the 'Groups' button in the upper left. Look at the groups that are there and see which one your contacts are in. If you've set it to sync with Hotmail, and the contacts are not being stored in hotmail, then they won't sync there...

  • Setting up two calendars, Microsoft Exchange and MobileMe

I tried searching the forum and could not find the instructions. If they are there, please do post the link because it means I used the wrong search terms.
I keep hearing that you can have both a Microsoft Exchange calendar and MobileMe calendar on the iPhone. So I finally signed up to get my Microsoft Exchange activated at work. In iCal, I do have about 14 calendars (which I essentially use as categories) that are all synced to my iPhone through MobileMe. The instructions to setup the connection to the Exchange server, however, are very clear that once I activate the Exchange calendar, it will delete all the contacts and calendar entries currently on my iPhone. Since all my personal stuff is synced through MobileMe, I am wary of activating the calendar without step-by-step instructions about how to get both calendars on my iPhone, especially if syncing might then delete from MobileMe and my desktop.
Any help or links to instructions elsewhere that I missed is appreciated.

After enabling syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with a MobileMe account on an iPhone, if you turn Contacts and Calendar events off for over the air syncing, the contacts and calendar events downloaded from and being kept synchronized with your MobileMe online address book and calendars will be erased from your iPhone, but this does not touch your MobileMe online address book and calendars. The same when deleting a MobileMe account from an iPhone.
When you first enabled syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with your MobileMe account on your iPhone, you should have been provided the same warning message. This deletes all contacts and calendar events created and stored locally with the iPhone and/or that were being synced direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process.
Are you still syncing contacts and calendar events direct with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac via the iTunes sync process, which is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes? Have you done this since turning Contacts and Calendar events on for over the air syncing with your MobileMe account on your iPhone?

  • Iphone 3G - Calendar sync issue via Microsoft Exchange

I have my iphone sync fine with mail and contacts via Microsoft Exchange with my work PC outlook, but can not get the calendar to sync. I upgraded to Microsoft 2007 and it sync once (possibly after accepting a meeting invite), but then no updates. I have turned calendars off and on and lost all entries. I do get meeting invites though, but they too disappear.
    Any ideas?

Onicabbit has nailed this one. It has to do with appointments not having an end or start date or having a length of 0 minutes. Track those in outlook (use the category view and make sure you have no filter on which could obscure a few nasty ones), fix the dates and duration (open the meeting or event and add or change one of the dates) and the sync should work.

  • Question about using calendar with Microsoft Exchange

I just recently bought the iPhone5.  I used to have a Droid so I am new to the iPhone altogether.  I have a 3rd generation iPad as well.  I've always used my google calendar on my droid to set up appointments and whatnot on my calendar and I send the invites to my husband so we can sync our calendars.  He would then accept or decline and I would get an email notification saying when he did so.  Now that I am using the iPad and iPhone calendar, I am super confused.  There are so many color coded calendars.  I set up the Microsoft Exchange account on both mine and my husbands phone and I set the default calendar to the Gmail Exchange calendar as someone told me to do.  I'm very confused by what this is all about and my husband still isn't getting the invitations when I send it to his gmail.  However, when I sent it to his aol email address, he did receive an invite but on my calendar it is still showing as "no response".  Also, now we are getting emails in 2 different gmail inboxes, one for the exchange and one for just gmail.  What's the difference?  Can anyone shed some light on this for me?  I'm such a newbie and googling isn't helping!
    Thanks!!!!

Why to jump from one track to another?
Simply create a folder with all the Channel strip settings and assign two key commands of your choice to navigate forward and backward.
And yes, you can assign that command to a MIDI controller (or pedal) too.
About monitoring have a look at the reference manual page 211.
Before to buy a preamp try using the Hi-Z input from your Edirol.
Anyway, six tracks with six plugins on each track are not an issue for your macbook.

  • Microsoft exchange calendar sync issue in iOS 5.0.1

    Hi,
I have iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 installed. My company uses Miycrosoft Exchange Server and I have synched my iPhone using the Microsoft Exchange server account option. I don't have any probelm with my emails or contacts.
However, the calendar is not synching properly. After I setup the account for the first time, I see many of my calendar items has been synced. But some of them are missing. I can't find any reason why those items are missing. I added/deleted new items on my calendar on Outlook Web Access and it showed up on my iPhone. I also tried adding/deleting items on my iPhone and they synched appropriately. The only issue is some of the pre-existing items are not showin on my iPhone and I can't find any reason for it.
I already tried to delete the account and add from scratch. I also removed the iCloud from my iPhone and tested without iCloud, no difference. I reinstalled the iCloud.
    Any help is much appreciated.

We have struggled with this as well on Exchange 2010. We just trued this today with some of our users and seems to get everything back into sync:
    On the iOS device:
    • Navigate to Settings app > Mail, Contacts, Calendar.
    • Scroll down and locate the Calendar section
    • Tap Sync (under the Calendars section)
    • Set the interval to All Events
    • Close the Settings app (Tap Home button)
I suggest rebooting the iOS device. Check the calendar and let it sync – look for those missing events.
This has worked for everyone that had the missing events issue.

  • IPad Calendar sync with Microsoft Exchange problem

I use Microsoft Exchange to sync my Google Calendars with my iPad & iPhone. I have a work, personal & business calendar. On my iPhone it sync all three calendars, but on my iPad it only sync my personal calendar. What can I do to fix this, if anything or does there need to be a software update?

Go to m.google.com/sync and set which calendars you wish to show up. Nothing broken.

  • Microsoft Exchange shared calendars through iCal on iPad or Mac

This is surely not an original question, but -
My company uses Microsoft Exchange.  I have synced it to my iPad for calendar, contacts, and email, and it works very well.
We also use shared calendars, and I utilize this feature often via Outlook on my PC.  However ...
    1.  I'd like to be able to view MS Exchange shared calendars on iCal on my iPad.  Is this possible?  Obviously, no one will grant me permission to view their contacts or emails, but calendar-only is what we share.  Is this possible?
    2.  Is it possible to view MS Exchange shared calendars through iCal on a Mac?  I have a colleague who has an iMac with iCal synced to Exchange and it works great.  However, we do not know how to view shared calendars (from MS Exchange) through iCal.  Again, we want to share calendars-only - no email or contacts.  Can anyone help with this?
    THANKS SO MUCH FOR HELP.

  • Exchange calendar (but not email) -- Receive invites?

I have MobileMe set up for email on my iphone, but I don't use MobileMe's calendar because it can't accept meeting invites. I use mail2Web's hosted Exchange calendar for my calendar, because it can accept invites. So I have those two accounts both set up on my iphone. In the iPhone's settings for the Mail2Web account, do I need to turn "mail" on in order to receive meeting invitations? Or is just having the "calendar" setting turned on good enough? I'd rather leave "mail" turned off, if I can, but from some testing, it looks like I may need both "mailbox" and "calendar" turned on if I want the iPhone to register new meeting invitations.
    Thanks.

how do you sync it ? What is the sync client you are using in your phone ?

  • Microsoft Exchange Calendar not synching from Phone

Have a new Droid X (had to replace old one after update crashed it) and it appears to be synched to my work MS Exchange just fine, with one exception. If I enter calendar items on the phone they don't show up on my Outlook at work.  Checked forum, found one solution ,but it was just directions on how to set up corporate synch.  Help, please!  I'm missing appointments......

    Hi Erikcole7,
To sync your corporate Exchange, you do need to work with yout IT group at your employer. However, I have included a link that provides you with a step-by-step process in getting this completed.
Though the device at this link is not the Droid X, I have verified that this device will work in the same way.

  • How do I restore Notes through iTunes without interfering with Microsoft Exchange Calendar and email

I recently added a Microsoft Exchange account to my iPhone and had to stop syncing my Calendar and Mail Accounts through iTunes because it was creating duplicate entries.  When I made those changes, I lost all of my Notes on my iPhone.  I backed up my phone after adding the Microsoft Exchange account, but am afraid to restore the backup (to restore the Notes) because I don't want to restore the pre-Exchange Calendar and Mail Account settings or entries.  If I select "restore backup", will it restore my Notes without interfering with my Calendar and Mail Account settings or entries?  Also, I don't know when the Notes disappeared from my iPhone, so it's possible that I synced through iTunes after I added the Exchange account, which probably means that the Notes I am trying to restore are in a prior backup, not the most recent backup.  Can you help?
    Thank you.

  • Microsoft Exchange - saving contacts and calendar data

    Hi all,
I have just joined a new company and I will be connecting my iPhone to their email network using Microsoft Exchange. However, I want to make sure I do not lose my existing contact and calendar data. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can do? Currently, my contacts and calendar are synchronized with Outlook in my home computer.

    Mistiano,
As long as your contact and calendar data is synced to Outlook, you shouldn't lose anything as it will still be saved on your computer.
If you'd like to keep your personal contacts and calendars synced concurrently to your iPhone along with the companies, you could either move your contacts to their server or apply for a MobileMe account, which would keep your data separate: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/
    Hope this helps,

  • Microsoft exchange removed from Ipad (Calendar events problem)

I have taken off Microsoft exchange account from Ipad.
now all the emails & contacts with taken off auto as well beside calendar events.
How can i removed all my calendar events as well?
    Thanks,

If I may reply to my own question, I have found the solution.
In Settings "Mail, Conacts, Calendars", if you scroll down the the bottom, there are some Calendar settings, one of which is "Sync".
This sync setting allows one to restrict the syncing of previous events from 2 weeks ago through 6 months ago to All Events.
Changing this setting to "All Events" made no immediate difference to my iPad calendar but after I deleted my Exchange account and then recreating it, all my events back to 2001 reappeared in my iPad calendar.
I guess that this sync setting has a default in iOS 5 to that in iOS 4./

  • Receive and respond to meeting invitations only for Microsoft Exchange

    Hello,
On Apple support page it says to iPhone Software version 3.0:
"If you have a Microsoft Exchange account, you can receive and respond to meeting invitations."
That means with MobileMe it's still not possible.
What kind of service is that, if Apple supports Microsoft better than their own service?
    Regards,
    JO

    Hi All--
I have been looking for this feature with MobileMe. I was hoping that it would have come with 3.0 -- but no luck. It would be really nice for MobileMe users to send/receive/accept/decline event or meeting invites from their iPhone or iCal.
I heard something about event invites in Snow Leopard iCal... will have to wait and see.

  • IPhone 5: invitations with Google calendar via exchange don't work

    Hi,
I haven't got a solution for the following issue- may be you do:
I'm using my Google calendar via exchange in my iPhone5. It is the main calendar. Sync works fine. But when I'm trying to send invitations to contacts or e-mail-adresses the invitees recieve no e-mail to reply. Funny is when I change for example the starting time of the event invitees receive a notification that the meeting has been rescheduled.
Is there anyone outhere struggling with the same problem? Any tips&tricks for me?
    Thanks in advance
    Patrick

I have done the same thing for Calendar, and yes that seems to work OK if you are ok with 'fetch' which being a personal phone, push is not necessary.
However, Contacts is still a problem. Google Sync website says to use CardDav but my iPhone refuses to 'validate'. Eventually it produces a message saying 'unable to validate' and something about the option of turning off SSL but I won't do that....
Using Google has all of a sudden become too difficult, not sure why they're trying to alienate iOS users, I get the whole Android/iOS battle but this seems a bit of dirty tactics to me...anyway, all they'll basically achieve is driving me over to icloud for everything, I'm not going to buy an Android phone because they won't allow me to sync contacts from Gmail to my iPhone...

  • Syncing Calendar with Outlook on PC (Microsoft Exchange)

Please help.  I am so frustrated.  I sync my calendar with Outlook on my PC at work using iTunes.  To do this I must disable iCloud because otherwise I will get a message saying that the calendars are syncing over the air.  (My company blocks iCloud, and only because I have a great relationship with the IT guys do I have iTunes on my computer!)  Now I can turn on iCloud on my device to sync with the cloud and my other devices.  The problem is that the next time I go to sync with my PC and turn off the iCloud sync again, I lose all of my calendars and events and I can't sync with my PC.  UUGGHH!!  Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?  The IT guys can't even figure it out.  All problems would be solved if I could use the Microsoft Exchange feature on my phone, but, again, the company won't allow.  It's easier getting into Fort Knox.  I have an iPhone 4s, iPad2, and iPad Mini
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thats because you can only sync to one itunes.  So when you sync to your work computer and then go home and sync to your home computer it will wipe everything.
IF your company won't allow you to use the calendar feature when you set up your exchange account, then there is no other way around it.
