Calendar no longer syncing properly after 3.0 update

Anyone run into this problem? Any solutions?
After the 3.0 update, any events that I've entered into the iPhone's calendar are not showing up in iCal. As well as that, all of my iCal events have been duplicated on the iPhone...
I use Mobileme, but haven't changed anything. Everything worked absolutely fine prior. The only variation has been updating the phone's OS to 3.0...
I'm having general Mobileme issues... 'replace info on this iPhone' (from the iTunes summary control) has no effect... controlling Mobileme from the iPhone preferences have none either...
I never learn: don't immediately install OS updates. Let them work the bugs out first...

I am going crazy..I worked on this nightmare 14 hours yesterday working with 4 techs on apple mobileme chat, 2 hours in the apple corte madera store and i have yet to fix this issue. i am unable to sync either the contacts or the calenders over the air via mobileme.
Most of the techs on the chat line don't seem to even read what one writes, because they ask questions that make no sense.
i have tried numerous times deleting the mobileme, waiting 10 seconds and then re loading...
It stems from getting duplicate calender items and duplicate contacts(5404 x 2=10,808 total) after syncing the new g3s with my mac book pro. One of the reps at the corte madera apple store was able to get all my contacts and calenders off my phone, and he was able to upload my calender items over the air from mobileme, however we thought since i have so many contacts(5404), thati it would just take time. Well lots of time has passed, and i still have no contacts in my new iphone.
HELP!!!!!??

  • After Outlook 2003 to 2007 upgrade, calendar no longer syncs properly

    Hi all,
I have a client that I have been troubleshooting iPhone/Outlook problems with and am stumped. After seeing online how many issues there are with Outlook information sync, I have tried everything to no avail so I thought I would ask for outside ideas.
My client had Outlook 2003 operating in an Exchange environment and everything was working perfectly synching his iPhone 3G to contacts and calendars within Outlook. Recently we upgraded to Office 2007. Now his iPhone sync does not update the calendar at all. It seems as though it does sync the old calendar information that was present in Outlook 2003 before the upgrade.
After much troubleshooting, I believe it may have something to do with the old Outlook 2003 calendar. I have tried deleting recurring appointments, backup and restore of the iPhone, and applying all software updates to both iTunes and Office.
When trying a restore of the iPhone, I opted to restore to factory settings and then leave the phone 'blank' and try sync of the calendar alone with the 'Replace all calendar info on the iPhone with Outlook calendar' option enabled. This resulted in a sync that did populate calendar data, but it did not match the data displayed on the calendar in Outlook 2007. It was as though it was synching the old calendar present before the Office suite was upgraded.
Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks for any help!
    Cheers.

I am having the same issue and the article you're suggesting only relates to a Mac operating system. Whereas I do own a Mac (Mac Mini & Macbook), this issue is occuring when I'm attempting to sync my iPhone with my calendar & contacts at the office.
I just recently upgraded to Office 2007 from Office 2003 and now when I try to sync, it seems to get stuck during the syncing of contacts. I am just an end user and my company does not support iPhone so there aren't any changes I can make to the exchange server, etc....
Please help!!!! I desperately need access to my updated calendar appointments.

After upgrading to Yosemite, my Exchange calendar no longer syncs to iCal (the Apple calendar). Help?

That's not the point.    Before iCloud, Outlook synched with Apple Calendar and/or iCal.    With iCloud, Cal syncs with iPhone and other devices.     Outlook doesn't have to sync with iCloud (although that would certainly be nice).   It just has to continue to sync with Cal, which in turn syncs with devices via iCloud.
But for some inane reason, it doesn't.    If this is Apple's way of forcing people to not use Office and only use Calendar and Apple Mail, they are going to stop the gains they've made in business environments.   Businesses, especially large businesses, use Outlook.   End of story.
Furthermore, Apple's instructions for setting up or deleting iCal and iCloud accounts is complete gibberish.  And I'm a tech who has been working with computers for 32 years.   Apple used to be great at making things easy.  They now suck at it and are just as bad as Microsoft.

  • After my software update, my calendar no longer syncs w my PC

After my recent update to IOS6, my calendar no longer syncs with my PC, yet my iPod touch is fine.

Make sure you are running the latest version of iCloud control panel for Windows (ver. 4) by running Apple Software Update and installing any available updates.  If you install an update, restart your PC, then try calendar syncing again.
If that wasn't the issue, try force-closing the calendar app on your iPad (double-tap the home button, swipe up on the calendar app, tap the home button again), then reset your iPad (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release).  After it restarts, try adding a new calendar event and see if it appears on your PC now.
If not, try going to Settings>iCloud on your iPad, tap Sign Out, choose Delete from My iPad and provide your password when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud).  Then reset your iPad again and test calendar syncing.

  • Calendars no longer sync across devices after iOS/Mac OS X updates

Ever since updating my MacBook Air to Yosemite and my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.0.2 (or maybe 8.1.1), my calendars no longer sync correctly across devices. Prior to the updates, any addition or change I made to the calendar on my iPhone would be added to the calendar on my Mac the next time I synced my phone. Now I have duplicate events on my phone, the calendar on my Mac no longer incorporates changes from the phone and I get a dialog box on the Mac 2-3 times an hour about calendar conflicts. No matter how many times I review the conflicts and choose which events/updates to save, the box keeps coming back. I've never had a persistent issue like this with any previous iOS or Mac OS updates and I can't figure out why it won't stop. Help, please!

OK, that was easy enough. Here's what I took from the log when I synced a few minutes ago. I kept the log entry for one of the multiple calendar sync conflicts.

I updated my iphone to iOS 6.1.2 and now my iphone calander and macbook calendar no longer sync (they used to). How do I get them to sync again?

    Why can't you update?
There should be nothing preventing the update from 6.1.3 or 6.1.2 or even from 5 directly to 7.
What happens when you try to update?
Have you tried to Update through a computer running the most up top date version of iTunes?
Tell us a little more about what is happening and we may be able to provide more specific answers.

  • Calendar no longer syncs after ios7 update

since updating the firmware on my iphone 4 it no longer syncs the calendar with outlook 2003, ive been in the info tab many times, selected and unselected the sync calendars with outlook box and it makes no difference, ive been in the add in menu in outlook and made sure the itunes add in is selected (its the only one there) ive been using the iphone and outlook combination for years now for work with no problems whatsoever, i cant understand why the 'select calendar box' in itunes is empty, if anyone knows the fix id be most grateful as its become quite integral to my work

  • Calendar no longer syncing with iphone after IOS5.

The appointments in Outlook are no longer syncing with my phone after installing IOS5.  I've uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes.  The itunes add-in in Outlook is disabled and no matter how many times I enable it, it disables.  I've reset my phone.  I've replaced items on this phone with calendar and nothing seems to work.  How do I get my appointments on my phone to be able to sync with iCloud?

I'm on a 4S  IOS 7.1 won't show my Google Calendar I have about 8 that should be showing. FIXED!!
I'm posting this here because your answers didn't help with my particular problem but aimed me in the right direction. so maybe this will help someone else.
    ------------------------------ This is what I tried ------------------------------
At the bottom of the calendar app click Calendars there should be a check to the left of your calendar. (my calendars weren't even listed here)
The google.com/calendar/iphoneselect solution. (mine was checked correctly)
Google 2-step verification (I even turned this on to see if it would help)
Deleting all accounts “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and starting over
    ------------------------------ My Solution ------------------------------
Since I deleted all my accounts already this is what worked I don't know why.
    Under “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts”
I added my google account “add account” “Google”... so on. Calendar was selected.
I added a second account “add account” “other” (at bottom) scroll down to “add CalDav Account” under calendars.
    Server= www.google.com
    user name = your email
    password = your password
    description = whatever
    Calendar was selected.
Then I went to “Settings – Mail,Contacts,Calendars – Accounts” and down towards the bottom I clicked “default calendar” and set it.
    I hope this helps

  • ICal calendars no longer syncing to ipod using itunes after Snow Leopard

Help! I upgraded yesterday to the new Snow Leopard and I can no longer sync my calendars to my ipod 5G. I do not have an iphone and this is the only way I can see my calendars. Did Snow Leopard "update" the calendars so that iTunes can no longer see them? I get the error message that there is no calendars available to sync, when indeed, I have 10. Please help!

    Hi, some more information...
I worked with Apple on the phone for three hours, to no avail.
the troubleshooting steps are as follows:
    1. deleted from HD/username/Library/Caches the "com.apple.ical folder"
    2. deleted from HD/username/Library/Preferences the file "com.apple.iCal.plist"
    3. deleted from HD/username/Library/Calendars the "Calendar Cache" file
    4. removed and reinstalled itunes
    5. "restored" ipod to factory default settings
    6. exported, deleted, and re-imported all calendars (individually)
    7. plugged in ipod and tried to sync calendars - still not working...
This issue has been escalated up...
After seeing many posts with ical issues with Snow Leopard, I think I am not alone...
    None of this has helped

  • Outlook calendar no longer syncs after IOS 7 / iTunes update

Running Outlook 2003 on Win XP.  Yes that's what IT allows....
Updated IOS7 (now at 7.0.3), tried to sync on the next day at work.  Itunes forced me to update (11.1.2.31).
    Updated iTunes.
    Notes sync.
    Calendar does not.
    iTunes says:
    Sync Calendars
Your calendars are being synced with your iPhone over the air
Over-the-air sync settings cane be changed on your iPhone
I've disabled OTA calendar sync I know of (Google, iCloud) with no effect.  There are still some iCal feeds that I left on.
Suggestions appreciated, but I'm stuck with my work environment for now.  Really would like to get back where I was before "updating". :-)

Still struggling with this.  I did discover a diagnostic in iTunes, but it says all is well.  I suspect that is because it thinks the iPhone is syncing the Outlook calendar over the air:

Its a bummer that the Exchange no longer works since the OS update. Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to establish a connection? Have you tried removing and readding the exchange account? Please keep me posted if this continues.

  • My iCal calendar no longer syncs with my iPhone

I bought an iPhone and an iMac just recently.  For the last two weeks they have been syncing whenever they ar both in the same WiFi network.  But latrely, they no longer sync when I change something in either calendar.  Any idea why?  They are both still connecting to my home WiFi network.

OK.  Problem seems to have gone away when I started iTunes on the iMac.  I'm real new to the iPhone and to Imac (a couple weeks).  Does iTunes have to be running on the iMac in order for sync to take place?

  • Trying to understand long sync time after 4 update :re blurry photos

hi i wanted to take out the 1 photo album that was blurred/grainy after update and then re-install them so that they are optimized. however when i sync it is taking hours. the album in question has 800 photos in it, but it should delete right away. i have had to exit the sync several times.
can anyone tell me first the steps to removing a photo album. so at least i am clear on that?
