Calendar no longer updating on device

A battery pull did not fix my problem
I just updated by BB last night with the new software.  I tried to Sync this morning and didn't receive any error messages in fact it said that it was making changes to my computer calendar but when I look on my calendar they aren't there.  I then made a change on my computer calendar, synced again, no messages at all this time and nothing new on my device calendar.

Same here. I often change calendar events weeks in advance and close the calendar at that point. It's a pain that when I reopen it, that it's not back to today's date.
I also miss the whole day's timeline being a shaded color from the rest of the days in the week view. Yosemite uses a red dot on the date to specify today's.

  • Calendars no longer sync across devices after iOS/Mac OS X updates

Ever since updating my MacBook Air to Yosemite and my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.0.2 (or maybe 8.1.1), my calendars no longer sync correctly across devices. Prior to the updates, any addition or change I made to the calendar on my iPhone would be added to the calendar on my Mac the next time I synced my phone. Now I have duplicate events on my phone, the calendar on my Mac no longer incorporates changes from the phone and I get a dialog box on the Mac 2-3 times an hour about calendar conflicts. No matter how many times I review the conflicts and choose which events/updates to save, the box keeps coming back. I've never had a persistent issue like this with any previous iOS or Mac OS updates and I can't figure out why it won't stop. Help, please!

OK, that was easy enough. Here's what I took from the log when I synced a few minutes ago. I kept the log entry for one of the multiple calendar sync conflicts.

  • Z22 calendar no longer updates from Outlook calendar

I have had this problem for about 3 weeks now.  It appears that my Z22 HotSync's fine with my PC - it says it was complete and the log shows everything to be OK.  But new entries I have put in my Outlook 2003 calendar do not show up in the Z22.  I've looked at a number of similar messages here and tried different things without success.  I tried changing the configuration in HotSync Manager to "desktop overwrites handheld" without success.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Post relates to: Palm Z22

When I do that it tells me that I am using Palm Desktop is set up to manage my calendar etc. So when I click on Outlook to manage it I get a window that tells me that Outlook Conduits are being installed but it never does - there are a few green bars showing but it isn't responding, no matter how long I wait.
Is that something I can do something with?  I don't have administrator privileges to install programs on this computer so do I have to get my IT support to do something?
    Thanks.

  • Photostream no longer updates between devices.  Outage?

I have to iPhones, one iPad, all running iOS 6.  I also have a Mac running iPhoto.  Photostream stopped updating yesterday; I tried shutting off Photostream on one of the phones.  When I restored it, only ~100 of the photos came back.  When I completely deleted iCloud and restored it, no photos at all came back.
For the other devices, they still retain the Photostream library from the weekend, but nothing is uploading to the Photostream.  All other iCloud services seem to be working.
Anyone have any ideas?  Is there an outage?

    CLJDOT,
I am using Comcast.  I saw on other threads that it's some interaction between the Gateway Comcast uses for their internet+VoIP Phone service, specifically those made by Arris.
The threads suggested that Arris and Comcast are working to address the interaction, but no one expects that to happen quickly.  The fix everyone seems to recommend is to put the Gateway into bridge mode, and use another router for wi-fi.
I called Comcast and had them switch the Gateway to bridge mode (no, you can't do it yourself).  Photostream appears to be working now: I take a picture on a device, it makes its way to the Stream.
However, the device from which I previously deleted and reinstalled iCloud only dowloads the most recent 140 photostream pictures.  Still don't understand that...

  • After updating to iTunes 10.6.0.40, it no longer detect my devices

I have checked this on two of my Windows 7 laptops, two cables, an iPod Touch, and a iPad 2... iTunes no longer show apple devices (cds still appear) listed on the sidebar.  Windows detects an Apple Drive everytime i plug it. I have tried restarting the services associated with apple devices, reinstalling iTunes on one of the laptops, resetting the iPod and iPad, still nothing.   This just happened after i updated tonight.

Hi, for me the problem was disconnecting other external device (here all bluetooth devices, external monitor etc). After reboot of my macbook pro, iTunes recognized both my iphone and ipad. I can only guess some kind of hidden device conflict causes this.
    More details here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17823179#17823179
Not sure this works for you; not sure this works for itunes Windows. Eliminating third-party device conflicts by switching off various external devices and then rebooting may be worth a try though.

  • My iPod Touch calendar no longer receives updates

My iPod Touch calendar no longer receives updates from the calendar program in my MacBook.  Used to work fine, via iTunes synch.  Have I inadvertently turned that function off?

I too have an older iPod. I do not care much for iCloud or any cloud so what I do is send my calendar to my e-mail and then open it on my iPod. I send Contacts using Adobe and, for me, it works fine. If you are in business and use these apps frequenctly I do not think this would work well for you. Only two options, iCloud or a Server.

  • After my software update, my calendar no longer syncs w my PC

After my recent update to IOS6, my calendar no longer syncs with my PC, yet my iPod touch is fine.

Make sure you are running the latest version of iCloud control panel for Windows (ver. 4) by running Apple Software Update and installing any available updates.  If you install an update, restart your PC, then try calendar syncing again.
If that wasn't the issue, try force-closing the calendar app on your iPad (double-tap the home button, swipe up on the calendar app, tap the home button again), then reset your iPad (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release).  After it restarts, try adding a new calendar event and see if it appears on your PC now.
If not, try going to Settings>iCloud on your iPad, tap Sign Out, choose Delete from My iPad and provide your password when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud).  Then reset your iPad again and test calendar syncing.

I just updated an iPhone 4 from iOS 7 to iOS 7.1 and my computer/iTunes no longer recognizes the device; what gives? How do I get iTunes to show the device?

With iOS 7, the "call Decline" button is only available when the phone is awake. To decline a call when the phone is asleep, simply tap the On/Off button.

My IPhone 4S no longer updates my caldendar when I sync my phone to my MacBook Pro.

Were you syncing over USB? If so, and you upgraded to Mavericks, you will have to switch your calendar to iCloud or another cloud-based option.
Syncing over USB is no longer an option in Mavericks.

  • I updated my iphone to iOS 6.1.2 and now my iphone calander and macbook calendar no longer sync (they used to). How do I get them to sync again?

I updated my iphone to iOS 6.1.2 and now my iphone calander and macbook calendar no longer sync (they used to). How do I get them to sync again?

    Why can't you update?
There should be nothing preventing the update from 6.1.3 or 6.1.2 or even from 5 directly to 7.
What happens when you try to update?
Have you tried to Update through a computer running the most up top date version of iTunes?
Tell us a little more about what is happening and we may be able to provide more specific answers.

  • HT201306 Since updating to iod7, my iBooks app no longer syncs across devices. Please advise.

Since updating to iod7, my iBooks app no longer syncs across devices. Please advise.
Frankly, the new iOS7 has many flaws that have shown up.

    Hi mgoksoy,
    Cheers for your reply.
It doesn't appear to affect every 4S. I don't know if theres specific batches it affects or maybe its location based, but i have a friend who has the same phone as me and theirs did exactly the same thing only after doing the firmware update. I'm pretty confident it is a bug. Looking around on google, it seems like its happening to a lot of other 4S users.
I have done a settings reset, didn't fix it. Did a settings and content reset, didn't fix it. Did a full recovery back to the backup i did when i first purchased it, didn't fix it. None of these things changes the firmware.
I am pretty appalled that apple would release a firmware upgrade with such an obvious problem for 4S users. Did they not test it first? Now i am finding multiple texts from people asking me things hours after they messaged me because the sounds don't work. Not impressed.

  • Subsequent to Yosemite or updates, my repeating calendar events can not be updated as before. When I update an event (of the repeating event) on my MacBook Pro; its reverts back when I shut it down and come back, and doesn't update other devices?

Subsequent to Yosemite or updates, my repeating calendar events can not be updated as before. When I update an event (of a repeating event) on my MacBook Pro; its reverts back when I shut it down and come back, and doesn't update other devices?
Has anyone experienced this and does anyone know a fix?

This is incredibly frustrating for me too!
I have a repeated monthly event for a discount at a store that is offered on the first Tuesday of every month. So I have a repeated event taking place on the 1st of every month. In the previous month I reset next month's date from the 1st to whatever date falls on the first Tuesday.
But ever since upgrading to Yosemite, I am experiencing the same problem as the original person who posted. The date saves on my calendar but does not sync to my iCloud. When I reboot the computer, the date reverts back to the 1st.
I'm thankful I don't have any events that needed to be tracked because ALL of my previous changes in the past have reverted back to the 1st of the month. I would have been in the same terrible situation as yaz999 in having to manually change every event in previous months.
Why hasn't this bug been fixed yet???!!!

  • Calendar no longer shows a list of monthly appointments with update, only dots

Iphone 5s just received an update and now my calendar no longer shows a list of all my appointments, just dots, unless you are on the exact date.

  • Calendar not updating across devices

My calendar isn't updating across different devices using iCloud.  It appears that all settings are correct and I'm using the same account on each device.  Photos update just fine.

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • Calendar not Updating on devices of subscribed members

I run a calendar off my Macbook Pro and have multiple people subscribed to the calendar.  The calendar is not updating on their devices when I create a new event, but syncing up fine on my devices (I have it running thru iCloud). Any ideas why the people subscribed to the calendar aren't getting the updates on the calendar?

Not sure why there's a lag in updating.  You can force your calendar to refresh by opening the calendar app, tapping Calendars at the bottom to show the calendars view, then pulling down and releasing on the center of the screen.
You might want to update to iOS 8.1 which was released today (available over the air by going to Settings>General>Software Update).  That may help.
