Calendar not sending invitations

My calendar does not send meeting invitation once I press 'done'.

My calendar does not send invitations when I add the attendees. According to the guide it should automatically send these invitations once I enter the contact details and press 'done'. I have tried it with both individual and multiple invitations.
Please advice as this is a a key feature that I require.
PS - I have also tried reinstalling the latest update.

  • Calendar not sending invites

    Hello All,
We are using a Snow Leopard Server for our iCal server and since we upgraded to Mavericks our Calendar application will now not send out the invited to people we add to the calendar events. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Rich

I have been doing quite some search and tried multiple things like resetting daemons etc. but nothing there. Then I tried to use another calendar app and sync to that app using the CalDAV server I have at home on my Synology disk station .... I soon as I have activated my CalDAV account - oh magic - invites sending was suddenly back. Morale of the story: if you activate a CalDAV/iCloud/Google account -- even without publishing anything there -- this seems to reactivate notifications. And yes this seems a beautiful bug (or feature ) in Calendar code and I hope that Apple will fix it. But for now this workaround solved my problem and hope it can help.
    All the best.

FIX: iCloud Calendar Invites Not Sending

  • My calendar will not send invites

I have read various posts regarding this same problem, but nothing recent in the last couple of months, so again I will ask you all if anyone knows a fix for this problem.  I am able to select the invitees and "send", but no one ever gets my invites.  I have gathered from reading various users' posts with this same problem, there is a concensus this might be a problem particularly for people who were pre-icloud users (mobileme.com users).  Anyone with new information and fix would be a much appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with apple techs this weekend trying to sort it out (including one of the expert techs). I thought we solved it, but apparently I was wrong. At first, I was getting errors when I tried to send, mostly to email addresses that are not iCloud accounts.
The first solution was to go to your Address Book, go to Card > Go To My Card and make sure that your iCloud email address is among your email addresses and that the label is "home" -- that seemed to help. It got rid of the 403 errors I was receiving and the revert to server stuff that kept popping up.
At that point I could (and still can) send an invite successfully to an email address NOT in my address book. However, if I send an invite to an email address that IS in my address book -- they never get the email.
I'm not sure if I'm in a speciacl class of people with this problem that migrated from MobileMe to iCloud, or if it's a general problem (especially since I now have two AppleIDs -- one from iTunes and one migrated from MobileMe to iCloud. But, it's getting really annoying to use a basic feature that's been part of any computer or online scheduling system for, at least, the past decade. For a while, the less experience Apple tech seemed puzzled that I would be sending invites to someone without an iCloud account. Needless to say, that attitude had me a little perplexed myself.
So, it appears that I'll be back on the horn with Apple Support again. Ugh.
I'm pretty apple/computer savvy and have been using this stuff for a long time, but I must say that the whole iCloud thing is really getting confusing. It's bizaare because on the surface everything looks so simple and straingtforward but once you look under the hood, it quickly stops making sense.

  • Wiki Calendars cannot send invitations?

    Hi there all
I have recently setup a Lion Server with iCal and Wiki
I have created a group Wiki and enabled its Calendar.
Users can subscribe to the calendar and create events, but cannot send invitations to attendees?
I have tried created the events on the personal calendar page, and in ical client on my mac, but the events will update its time and date etc, but will not let me use the ical server's locations nor send invitations to other users
is there anywhere to get around it?
    Cheers!

  • ICal not sending invites

    Hey,
Is there anybody experienced tha problem when trying to send invite (meeting request) via iCal it sais:
iCal could not send the invitation.
To send invitations, create a card in Address Book.
I've created Address Book card for that person but it didn't solve my problem.
    Any thoughts?

Solution: just add yourself in Address Book and click "Card" -> "Make This My Card" for iCal to know whom to put in "From" field.

  • Why does the calendar function send invitations in GMT?

I have updated my time zone to my local setting (CST), but whenever I send out an invitation using my calendar function on my macbook, it does so in GMT.  Why?

    From the menu bar, select
              Calendar ▹ Preferences... ▹ Advanced
    and check the box marked
              Turn on time zone support
Then, from the menu in the upper right corner of the Calendar window, select your desired time zone.

  • Profile Manager not sending invites

    Hi,
I've got my server setup with SMTP, and can foward the email to my exchange server without issue, but now when in profile manager I click to send the invite, I don't get anything. I checked the SMTP out log and nothing there. If I go to the service log for profile manager in the Server.app, I constantly get:
[237] [2014/03/13 19:00:19.564] I: Unable to read server organization (File /Library/Preferences/com.apple.servermgr_info.plist not readable!)
I have checked in /Library/Preferences and I do not have a "com.apple.servermgr_info.plist" file at all. Maybe this is why?
Any help would be greatly appricated!

Yes actually. I was able to get Apple Enterprise support on the phone and the first thing we did was use changeip to verify all DNS was setup correct. It was.
My problem was related to the fact I was trying to use Profile Manager to ONLY assign apps from my VPP. I never went through the entire process to setup Device Management. After doing that and re-setting up the assignment part, the emails started to send.
Let me know if that helps.

  • IOS 8.1 Calendar not sending new appointments to google calendar

My sync wtih Google has been pretty steady since the upgrade- but the last few days I am seeing appointments set on my mac are sent down to google calendar but not up to my iPhone 5.  Similarly, new appointments going to my phone are not going down to Google.  Nothing I know of changed in my setup.  ONly other thing is that I am now getting a message in mail when I delete that items cannot be moved- started about the same time.

same problem here... seems MY only solution that seems to work is to do a hard reboot of iphone and ipad... if I enter an event on ipad, it does not show up on iphone... if I do hard reboot on iphone AFTER entering the event on ipad, it then shows up on iphone... ughhh...

  • Husband's Calendar & Notes Send E-mails to Me

My husband and I each have our own iPhone 3GS. We've had them for years. He's got his own Apple ID which he's signed into the phone with and I have my own that I'm signed into my phone with.
About 6 months ago or so I got an odd e-mail in my personal gmail account with some random stuff in it and after some thinking realized it was a copy of a note he had made in the Notes app on his phone while we were out shopping the day before.
A week or so ago I got another odd e-mail and realized it was a copy of a calendar entry he had made in the calendar app on his phone. This happened again today (he got a reminder yesterday for something he put in his calendar and then I got an e-mail with the same information).
He has Calendar and Notes turned off in the notification center (which we were pretty sure wasn't it anyway) and he is not syncing either to iCloud. If he was signed into his phone using my Apple ID I'd maybe get the connection but he's signed in as himself. The only reference to my e-mail address on his phone is the fact that he has my e-mail setup in his e-mail account list to check my messages if/when he needs to for me.
While he doesn't use his Notes or Calendar often, it's a little irritating and I'm pretty sure he thinks I am trying to spy on him. LOL!
    Help??

    Hi sandreuta
Any update on this thread? Did you try above?
Also double check the domain name to confirm no extra or missing characters
And how about test via another Exchange Account ?

  • HT4901 Trouble with calendar sending invites.

Calendar will not send invites.  I accidentally deleted the "Yahoo! CalDAV" located in calendar preferences on the Accounts tab.  Wondering if that has something to do with it.  I have tried to re-set that up and it won't work.  Help please?

When I edit an appointment I do not have a link to "invitees". Can you give more information about how to find it? I created a new calendar appointment, saved, then clicked 'edit' on that item - there isn't any link to invitee attendees.

  • Attendees not getting invite

I have a Blackberry 9330 on Verizon Network.  OS is 6.0.0.431 bundle 1741.  There are not additional apps installed now.
I did have google sync installed however it made duplicate and triplicate of all my calendar and contacts so I just got rid of it.  I would love for my calendar to sync up however it seems as though that is not possible right now without dups.  After erasing the contacts from both google and the device and inputting them through the device it did populate both.  Any help with that would be great.
However the problem I am having is that I used to have an Android phone and my wife has a blackberry curve 8530.  We used tyo be able to use the google calendar to send invites back and forth and they would populate both calendars.  Now when I send her an invite nothing comes to her phone or gmail account.  When she sends one to me it will go to the gmail account but not to the phone or the calendar.
Is there a way for us to send each other invites using 2 blackberry devices?
    Thanks

  • When I send invites for events in ical, the event does not show up on the person I invited calendar

    Hi,
I am sending invites to my co-worker on a Mac through ical. When my co-worker accepts the event it doesn’t show up on his ical. How do I fix this?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Can we disable the 'Do not send a response' option for invitations?

Our organization recently migrated to Outlook \Exchange 2010 from Lotus Notes\Domino R7.0.4. Users are getting frustrated with the many limitations, or hopefully our lack of understanding, related to calendaring in Outlook.
    Current Issue:
Employees can select "Do Not Send a Response" to meeting invitations, but still accept the invitations for their personal calendars. This can be very frustrating to the invitee, who is attempting to orchestrate complex meetings, since they do not
get updates for invitees who have accepted the meeting using this option.
It is plausible that all invitees could accept a meeting, but choose not to send a response. The originator of the meeting may than cancel the meeting, thinking, "what's the point, no one accepted it". The originator or an Admin staff should have
the ability to disable the "Do not Send a Response" option or at least have the option to require a response if desired.
Additionally, when invitees do send a response, it would be nice to have an option not to see response in the form of an email, but simply as an update to the Calendar 'Attendees' status, to avoid inbox clutter.
Lotus Notes had these functions at least 10 years ago, so I'm sure we are just overlooking a setting or configuration. Any guidance Microsoft support or readers can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
We can disable that option via GPO.
Please refer to Disable user interface items and shortcut keys in Office 2010:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179143(v=office.14).aspx
After adding the Office 2010 GPO templates to the domain, in Group Policy Management go to:
User Configuration / Polices / Administrative Templates / Microsoft Outlook 2010 / Disable Items in User Interface / Custom
    Add the following Policy ID's: 19987, 19995 and 19991.
This will disable the three menu items "Do Not Send a Response" below the buttons Accept, Tentative and Decline. When the mouse pointer points to the disabled ("grayed out") menu item a message is shown telling the user that this menu is disabled by the
    administrator.
If you are not used to the email response, simply create a rule to move all these responses to a single folder and clean them up periodically:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/outlook-help/manage-email-messages-by-using-rules-HA010355682.aspx
