Calendar not syncing via iCloud

I'm have sync issues with iCloud:
I have multiple calendars on my desktop app. This is where I keep track of all my dates. I have activated all the proper settings (as far as I can tell) for syncing across all devices. (iMac, iPhone, iPad) All devices are up to date. I checked the settings via iTunes on the iPhone and it declares I am set up for iCloud syncing. Same with iPad. I check the settings on the devics themselves and all iCloud syncing is activated.
If I go to the desktop version and display the calendars on the left bar I see three groupings. First is headed "iCloud" and it is all the calendars I created. Second group is ALSO headed "iCloud" and it contains four generic calendars plus the one from the first group that is being synced to all devices. The third group is "Other" with US Holidays and Birthdays; also which I did not create. Only that one calendar which shows up in the first two groups--and does actually sync to my mobiles--had the broadcast icon alongside it; that one and the "Birthdays" calendar have it. So why are these the only calendars with that logo (presumably denoting iCloud broadcasting/sharing)? Obviously I didn't set that one calendar to sync. According to my devices my calendars are in sync.
This has me flummoxed.

  • Macbook pro calendar not syncing (via iCloud) with iPhone 4s

After looking through a few discussions I see some users having issues in syncing their calendars (from their computer) on to their iphone.
I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and this seems to be the key issue.
I was showed from an Apple genius that when syncing via icloud (and to avoid duplicate calendar entries) is to uncheck sync, contacts and calendars.
Which I have and I do have icloud "ON" in my phone. But whenever I update my calendar entries on my Apple laptop it no longer syncs to the iphone.
Would anyone have any leads as to why it's no longer syncing? I'm pretty good at troubleshooting but I'm at a loss with this one.
    thanks in advance    Aimee

  • Why after IOS6 Ipad calendar not syncing with Icloud?

After I upgrade Iphone and Ipad to IOS6, my Ipad calendar doesn't sync with ICloud using exactly same Apple ID. Any sugestions?

    1. Fire up your Mac and connect the iPad.
    2. Open iTunes and confirm that you are NOT syncing via the cable. Change settings as appropriate. When finished, disconnect the iPad and power it down.
    3. Open iCal on the Mac and confirm that the events are correct. Add/delete events as appropriate. Quit from iCal.
    4. Open System Preferences > MobileMe > Sync
    5. Click on "Advanced" and then click on your Mac when it shows up.
    6. Click on "Reset Sync Data"
    7. At the top, Replace: Calendars
    8. Click the right-pointing arrow so that the complete text states: "Replace Calendars on MobileMe with sync info from this computer."
    9. Click "Replace"
    10. You've confirmed that your Mac and MobileMe are set up properly. Now the iPad. Fire up the iPad and go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    11. REMOVE Calendar syncing from the account that's identified by your email address.
    12. Follow the instructions below.

  • IPhone Calendar not syncing to iCloud

I am running 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5c and when I add an event or appointment on my calendar, it does not sync with iCloud. When I add an appointment from icloud.com or from Outlook on my computer, it works and will sync to my phone. Just not when I add an appointment from iPhone.
    Help please?
    Thanks.

    Howdy jandally,
It sounds like you are adding events to your iPhone 5c calendar, but they do not sync up to iCloud, but adding them to iCloud.com does sync to the phone. I would use the iOS troubleshooting section of the following article to help you get that going again, named:

  • IPad calendar not syncing to iCloud or iPhone

Recently, my iPad calendar stopped syncing with iCloud on my PC and my iPhone.  I can sync from my iPhone to my iPad and iCloud and I can sync from iCloud to my iPad and iPhone... Just not from my iPad.    Notes from my iPad sync fine to my iPhone and iCloud.  I have all calendar setting set on "Home" calendar.  I am at a loss to fix this nagging problem.  What is the fix?  Your help will be appreciated.   Gary

Are you sure that you have the iCloud control panel downloaded and installed?
You should also check the iCloud add in. Click the File menu. Then click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window. Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window. Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" make sure "iTunes Outlook add-in" and "iCloud Outlook Add-in" are selected.
To add enable the add-ins, in the Manage box at the bottom of the Outlook Options window, select COM Add-Ins, and then click Go. In the COM Add-Ins dialog, navigate to the iCloud add in and and you should be able to enable them.

  • IWork for iOS not syncing via iCloud

Our new iMac came with the “free” iWork for OSX apps, so I decided to give iCloud syncing between OSX and IOS devices another try.
I went to iCloud.com and created a simple document in Pages, Numbers and Keynote. I then checked to see if these three documents “showed up” on our iMac, MBP, iPhone 5s and iPad mini. Syncing the three iWork documents worked fine on the iMac and MBP. But the syncing results to iWork iOS apps on our iPhone and iPad were pretty abysmal. In both cases only ONE (out of three) of the iWork apps synced: Keynote on the iPad and Pages on the iPhone.
Since at least one of the documents synced correctly on each of the iOS devices, I obviously have the right iCloud account info., etc. And I assure you that all three apps had/have their little green switches/sliders set to “on" in the Settings>iCloud>Documents and Data. Two days should be enough time to sync even on a slow internet connection. Syncing iWork for IOS documents was working before I turned off iCloud>Documents and Data syncing several months ago because I didn’t have iWork for OSX at the time and had no need to sync iWork documents between the iPhone and iPad.
So what gives? Interestingly the two iWork for iOS apps that synced correctly, were the only apps that asked to use iCloud when they launched. And these were the only two apps that had not been launched since their last update. Could it be that iWork for IOS apps don’t pay attention to changes in the iCloud Documents and Data sync settings if syncing has been previously turned off?

Numbers and Pages are not syncing with iCloud on my iPhone or iPad, except for one occurrence in five days. Changed documents sit there with an arrow icon.
Hardware is iPhone 5S running iOS 7.1.2 and iPad Air running 7.1.2
Latest update of Numbers and Pages. I deleted and reinstalled Numbers on the iPad without any change however this did seem to bring the esisting documents down to the device from iCloud.
I have an internet connection. I have tried turning 4G on and off, setting up a hotspot on either device so that the other has a wireless connection but this has not fixed the problem.
I have tried restarting both devices.
i have tried turning Use iCloud off but this only worked once.
Data roaming is on and cellular data is on on both devices.
Settings/iCloud/Documents & Data/Numbers is turned on and Settings/iCloud/Documents & Data/Pages is turned on on both devices.
Settings/Numbers/Use iCloud is on and Settings/Pages/Use iCloud is on on both devices.
Looking at Settings/iCloud/Manage Storage/Numbers shows there are documents.
i am currently travelling, hence the 3G/4G. At home, on my wireless network (based on an ADSL connection) it will often sync sporadically enough that it is not much of an issue, just an irritation. However this total lack of syncing over the past five days is getting to be pretty unamusing.

  • My calendar items are not syncing via iCloud.

My calendar items are no longer syncing from my iPhone to my iMac via iCloud.  In Settings - iCloud, my iPhone says that Calendars are syncing.  iTunes on my iMac says the same thing.  On my iMac, iCloud settings won't let me check Calendars, though.  My iPad and iPhone are syncing just fine.

but I've restarted my iPhone just the other day (for a different reason) and it didn't affect the iCloud calendar... don't know why it did today,
Because "resetting" like I suggested is not the same as "restarting".
You wouldn't know how to get iCal to update on a iMac that doesn't have Lion installed, would you?
Unfortunately, you need a Mac running Lion v10.7.2
    You're welcome

  • Reminders and Calendar not synced with iCloud

At some point, Reminders and Calendar no longer sync with iCloud. They were working fine when I first installed Mountain Lion (a fresh install on a new drive, not an upgrade with preferences from a previous install), but sometime recently they stoppped syncing. This may or may not have occurred when I updated to 10.8.2; I don't regularly use them, but when I do, I need the info synced.
Other programs work fine: Contacts, Notes, and Safari all sync with iCloud. I can create/update items on my iPhone, and it's reflected on my Mac, and vice-versa.
This is frustrating, especially because it was working well at one point. I've tried unchecking/re-checking the "Calendars & Reminders" option in the iCloud system preferences, as well as signing out and back in again. Each time, I've always chosen to delete the data on my Mac.
I'm out of ideas - short of a full reinstall, which isn't feasible. Has anyone else experienced this and solved it?

I have developed the same problem.  Calendar and Reminders no longer sync, nor can I enter any new items via iCloud.com.  My iPhone and BusyCal on my MAC no longer sync.  I was tempted to try turning sync off on my MAC but, like you, got the warning that it was deleting all data on my MAC.  So I backed off.
Using my MAC, I signed onto my wife's iCloud account and experienced no problem; all works as it should.
I keep sending the error messages to Apple.  So far in the last two days they have not responded.

  • OSX Calendar NOT Syncing with iCloud BUT iOS Devices DO

    So to set the scene....
I have an early 2009 iMac running Mountain Lion.
    I have 2 x iPhone 4's running iOS 5.1.1.
    I have 1 x iPad (1st Gen) running iOS 5.1.1
I use to keep mail, contacts and calendar in sync between all the devices using MS Exchange. I recently switched this to iCloud.
All the Calendars I have are all iCloud (so NO local calendars).
    Mail syncs without any issue.
    Contact syncs without any issue.
Calendar syncs have an issue with iMac syncing to iCloud.
To be clear...the following Calendar syncs DO work:
    iPhone #1 --> iCloud
    iPhone #2 --> iCloud
    iPad --> iCloud
    iCloud --> iPhone #1
    iCloud --> iPhone #2
    iCloud --> iPad
    iCloud --> iMac
Whereas the following Calendar sync DOESN'T work:
    iMac-->iCloud
What's even stranger is that if I...
Switch off Calendar & Reminder syncing on my iMac (System Preferences)
    Close calendar
    Wait 5 minutes
Switch back on Calendar & Reminder syncing on my iMac (System Preferences)
    Open calendar
...then the iMac-->iCloud syncing WILL work for a few hours. After a few hours it will stop syncing.
Thanks for reading. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ben

Since this post has had no replies, thought I'd comment to see if anyone can answer the above question.  I have the same problem with one exception.  The part that is not syncing is from iCloud to my iMac.  All other sync paths work between my iphone, ipad, and iMac.  If anyone has a fix for this, please share.

  • Address book not syncing via iCloud ....

    Hey All,
So i've read some other posts saying to make a backup, and then remove it via sys preference, uncheck contacts, delete them, and then re-check the box, that hasnt worked
here is my current setup that I use everyday
    iMac 1 - Home
    iMac 2 - Office
    iPhone
My phone and iMac 1 have the same sync, I created 2 more "categories" on iMac2 and added a bunch of contacts to that group (all 3 devices are using the same username / password) - however, iMac1 and iphone do not get these new contacts / groups, no matter what
    any suggestions?

FYI, iCloud DOES NOT SYNC, you subscribe to it and that makes it very different from sync systems (including Mobile Me)
I just moved, yesterday, from MobileMe to iCloud.  I have an iMac, a MacBook Air, an iPhone 4, and the original iPad.
Would you be kind enough to elaborate on your statement that I have quoted, above?  I fear I don't understand the difference between sycning to MobileMe and subscribing to iCloud.
I am about to make my first change to my Address book and am unsure where to make it:  on iCloud, my iMac, my MacBook, etc.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Bob

  • IPhone 5 calendar not syncing with iCloud

When I look for Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar I do not have a "Default Calendar" option.
I have also noticed the iPhone calendar only has one of my four calendars on my iCloud account and will not let me add the others.
It is not even receiving pushed alerts as it did a few months ago.
Having no problems with iPad -- just iPhone 5.

    Hello, John!
I see that you are not having and issue with the syncing between your computer and iCloud.  So we would need to look into the device settings to make sure all settings mirror what is set in the iCloud Control Panel.  I have included a couple articles that will assist you in troubleshooting your iPhone 5.  See the sections in the articles below referring to your iOS devices.

  • E72 - Calendar not syncing via USB data cable (Out...

    PROBLEM:
Syncing the E72-2 Calendar to Outlook over USB Data cable returned synchronization errors.
    HISTORY:
Previously was using MfE and Google Calendar as a go-between from Outlook 2003 to my E72. It worked OK for a couple of weeks, but then turned to **** (appointments disappearing from phone, duplicates that couldn't be deleted, sending tons of 'decline' messages to work colleagues from my personal Gmail account...etc. etc.)  It is abundantly clear that MfE and Google Calendar were not meant to play together at this point in time.
Next strategy was to use PC Suite to sync with the Outlook calendar directly via cable.  This was not successful either.  The default Sync profile on the phone only offers Data Bearer of Bluetooth or GPRS, no cable.  Sure enough, PC Suite would fail immediately with 0 events synced, saying to check the Idle status of the phone.
    SOLUTION that worked for me:
    Overview:
    - Delete all calendar entries on the phone, even those that are 'stuck'. (Note: you DON'T need to wipe your phone for this - that is Nokia's lazy solution but there are easier ways.)
    - Run PC Suite Cleaner from Nokia
    - Reinstall PC Suite
    - Run PC Suite, connect the phone via USB only when prompted
    - Configure the Sync profile on the phone
    - Configure the Sync application on the PC
    - Sync!
    Details:
0a. Clean off all calendar entries from the phone. To get rid of stubborn ones, you can try to sync the phone via bluetooth or internet to an empty Google or other calendar to remove all entries. (I did this by syncing to an empty iCal calendar on my Mac)  Alternatively, you can also connect the phone to PC Suite, then open the phone calendar in PC Suite and delete all appointments using the trash can button.  (Recurring series will only need to be deleted once.)
0b. Exit PC Suite.  Ensure it is not still running in the Taskbar.
    1. Run the Nokia PC Suite Cleaner, downloadable from Nokia's support site. Restart when prompted.
    2. Re-install PC Suite version 7.1.40.6
    3. Run PC Suite before connecting the phone.
3a. Select Cable connection, then connect the phone when prompted.
3b. PC Suite should install the necessary drivers and software (if this is working, you will see several USB device popups in your taskbar.)
    4. On the phone, go to Ctrl Panel --> Phone --> Sync.
4a. If you have been messing around with MfE or other sync methods, delete those extraneous sync profiles from the phone. Go to "Change Active Profile" - if you see anything besides 'PC Suite', select it and then choose 'Delete' from the Options menu.
4b. After any extra Sync profiles are gone, the phone will default back to 'PC Suite.' Ensure the PIM data you wish to sync (Calendar, etc.) is selected with a red X.
4c. It does not seem to matter what you select for Data Bearer - I am using Bluetooth and that's working even though the target PC does not have it.
4d. 'Allow sync requests' should be set to 'Automatically accept'
4e. For 'Synchronization type' select the value that works for you. ('To phone only')
    5. Run the Sync application in PC Suite.
5b. Ensure the phone has not automatically locked itself.
5c. Click the 'Sync' button in the PC Sync app.
5d. You should see Connecting....Waiting....Reading.....etc.  while the content is syncing.
5e. If it stops after Waiting and returns a communication error, you may need to try the above steps again, and/or do a clean install on your phone. :-(
Hope this helps someone out there.   Note that this is mostly from memory, so if I inadvertently skipped any steps or if anything needs further clarification, please respond to this thread to help future readers.

Herve55 I can confirm that the DC-6 (remember to buy the the one with USB-micro connection) works.
However the only reason for me wanting to use the supplied USB to USB-micro cable in the car (with 3rd party cigarette adapter) was to first, get rid of that annoying spiral cord and second to have the data cable with me at all times.
Sad to say that I´eve by now definitely tried all possible solutions for the data cable "CA-101" without any luck.
My N97 witch I was very satisfied with at start started to burn battery, reboot, loose memory, become sluggish and then after 8 months of aggravation i sent it on a flyer in the wall.
I have now after 15 years changed brand.
Conclusively the guys at Nokia seems to carry to many models for any possibility of making further great phones! in other words they´v gone sloppy.

  • IOS7 Calendar not syncing with iCloud

Searched the web but couldn't find a solution to this particular issue:
I create a new Calendar event on my desktop, it syncs fine to iCloud as I can see it appear at iCloud.com and also on my laptop. But, it doesn't appear on my iPhone 5c running iOS 7.0.3.
I create a new Calendar event on my iPhone. It doesn't show up at iCloud.com or on my desktop or laptop. So iCloud appears to be syncing properly, just not with the phone. This was all working fine for me before updating to 7.0.3.
I tried turning off Calendar on the phone under Settings > iCloud. The first time, I elected to Delete the calendars on the phone, but after getting the spinning wheel saying "Turning off Calendars..." for 15 minutes, I haulted the activity by resetting the phone. When it restarted, Calendars was still selected as On in iCloud settings. So I tried a few tests and determined the problem was still happening. Went back to turn Calendars off under iCloud settings, but this time elected to Keep the calendars already on the phone. The spinning wheel of "Turning off Calendars..." has been spinning now for 20 minutes.
I've checked the usual culprits (all iCloud account settings are proper on all devices, etc.). I would expect that turning off Calendars on the phone and then turning them back on might go a long way toward resolving this issue, but I can't find out for sure if Calendars won't actually ever turn off (still spinning to turn them off a couple of minutes on since I mentioned it above). Anyone ever encounter this?
    Thanks for any help!

    Hey, Apple!
Same problem as described above.  My calendars sync fine from my MBP to iPhone & iCloud & iMac. My iMac syncs fine with iCloud & MBP, but my iMac syncs, which appear immediately on iCloud.com, do not load to my phone or iPad, for that matter.
So, I turned off Calendars under iCloud, no luck.  But then I did a hard restart of my phone, after resetting iCloud calendars by turning them off, & then, my iMac changes loaded to my phone.
Now, I'm just saying that I pay a premium for every Apple product I own, & I've owned Apple since a Mac Classic in 1990, all the way back to 1986 when I worked with a IIe at the office, if you want to count that.  I willingly pay that premium for the hardware, and willingly pay the premium for the services like iCloud & iTunes Match, but the sync services have, from all the way back to iTools, when they were free AND worked, have since been sketchy at best.
Although not immediately revelent here, I have the same sync issues to Apple TV with iTunes Match, where new playlists do not show up for quite some time.
I purchase Apple products & pay for Apple's services and software ONLY because the integrated hardware & software model has worked for me, in the past, but I now work in an environment where my schedule is important, where people rely upon me to get information right.  And this isn't working for me right now.
Apple, .Mac just didn't work.  Me.com didn't really work.  And now iCloud? Sorta, but sorta isn't really good enough.
Let's get with the program.  People don't buy Apple to figure out workarounds.

  • Calendar not syncing with iCloud on PC

The calendar on my iPhone 5 stopped sending appointments to the iCloud.  iTunes says it is syncing with the cloud. The iCloud setting on the phone for calendar is switched on. Notes seem to sync fine. Any suggestions?

Also make sure you are using the same iCloud account on your PC and your iPhone.  Go to Settings/iCloud on your iPhone and check the account email address.  Then check the iCloud account on your PC.  If you have a Windows PC, click on the iCloud icon in your system tray to see what icloud email account you are logged into.
I changed the email on my iPhone and. iPad, but forgot to change the email on my PC and my calendars wouldn't sync.  It finally dawned on me that I forgot to change the account on my PC.

  • Keynotes is not syncing via iCloud with iPad

Folders appear in iCloud on my iMac, but suddenly not appearing in Keynotes on my iPad.  Last Saturday, this all worked smoothly.

On your iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Turn Documents & Data off then back on.
Give iCloud a minute or two to re sync the data.
