Calendar notes without alarm don't sync in ios 6

since i upgraded to ios 6 on my iphone 4, i have lost the calendar entries that were not associated with an alarm. i have them on outlook, but they are simply not syncing to the phone calendar! can anyone help? i need to get them to the phone.

Belatedly, but I recently had the same question:  http://www.cafe-encounter.net/p1692/using-an-outlook-com-email-with-older-ipadip hone-android-device-or-mail-client
When you set up an Exchange account, you get the chance to specify the server name etc. You want s.outlook.com as the server name; and your outlook.com id as the username.

  • With iOS 7.0.4 Notes on iPhone don't sync with Notes on iPad

I upgraded both iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to iOS 7.0.4.
With iOS7 my Notes on iPhone don't sync with my Notes on iPad.
In both devices I have set iCloud ON for Notes.
In the Notes App I selected the iCloud Account.
But when I write a new Note on iPhone 4 it doesn't appear on iPad 2 and viceversa.
How can I fix this bug?
    Thanks a lot!

    You're welcome

You can't go to icloud.com using Safari on your iPad, you have to go there using your computer.  If you didn't do so, try going to icloud.com and check your notes using your computer browser.

  • Calendar subscription without alarms

Is it possible to subscribe to somebody's calendar without importing their alarms?
My girlfriend would like to share her work shedule (she works different shifts) with me so that I know when she has time off but she often forgets to uncheck the alarm box and as a result, I get woken up when she does by my iPhone or I get an alarm on my Mac if it is running or when it wakes from sleep.
I have tried disabling everything I can find in the calendar settings and preferences. I ended up unchecking the calendar from the list and now, rather than just becoming invisible, it has gone completely.
Before I go through the process of sharing this calendar again, for the sake of my sanity, is it possible for me not to be woken up when she has to get up for work?

his me again I test it again:
1.- Create a new Appointment in MS Outlook with default alarm 15 min before the Appointment.
2.- Sync N900 via OVI Suite and everything looks fine Sync DONE (no problems)
3.- Open calendar in N900 the appointment is there but without Alarm

  • Events made on iPad calendar(through yahoo account) don't sync with yahoo calendar

Events made on iPad calendar (through my yahoo account) don't sync with yahoo calendar on the Web. I'm on latest iOS both on iPad and iPhone4. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Raymondo1,
    Glad this helpped!
I am a PC user so cannot help with your Mac interfaces.  I can sync (crudely) my Windows 7 Address book with iTunes.  But, I cannot sync my Windows Mail or Calendar with iTunes (unless I have Microsoft Exchange).
Microsoft Exchange is not available to me.  This is why I use the iPod to sync with to Yahoo for email and Calendar.
The best I can tell, iTunes does NOT support an interface with Yahoo.
    Have a nice day.

  • (custom-made) Calendar not showing on phone after syncing

this week i created an new calendar in iCal (by the Name of 'Wijster') which i use to publish on my dotmac account.
    That works fine.
But when i try to sync iCal with my phone(Nokia through iSync) both standard calendars (Work & Home) do sync perfectly and show up in my phone-calendar, but the events from the newly made Wijster calendar do not.
    - in iSync i have reset my sync history
    - in iSync a have also reset all my devices
Both did not solve the problem
Does anybody have an idea what goes wrong here?
    Thanks...

I have done all the steps in the FAQ thread and it is still not syncing?
Thank you for the thread Jason L I appreciate it although it didn't help me I am sure it will help others.
Is there anyone out there who can help me with my dilemma?

  • ICal calendars on my Mac don't sync with iCloud

Am I missing something? When I configured iCloud, I noticed that I suddenly had duplicates of my Address Book and Calenders. My Mac can sync with my phone, my phone can sync with iCloud, but I can't sync my Mac with iCloud.
Maybe I'm too lazy and haven't read enough about it, but it seems like a total cluster.
So now, when I want to update my calendar on my Mac, I have to go to iCloud instead of using iCal.
Anyway, if I'm missing something... feel free to point it out. No offense taken

I have something similar and i will try to explain with my rusty english.
I have an ID on iCloud but i can't sync the iCal events.
On my mac there is everythign (appointment, notes birthdays and so on). On my iCloud there is nothing.
I suppose was something related with the old ID  (one just for ichat, not one of the ID that you pay to receive extra services or a @me.com account).
Now, as soon as the icloud features was installed on my Macbook Air I signed a new ID and initially everything worked fine. Emails on Mail and  contacts were syncronized properly but with the new ID. i did not check iCal account.
So i tried also with the old one (the ichat ID) and all was sync. So i realized that maybe Apple recognized same account or name and merge all the ID in just one.
    I was wrong.
The 2 ID's are not linked.
further checks add also this new weird stuff. in any case i cant sync ical accounts. i tried to switch from one to another ID. no way. i checked preferences in iCal on the mac. everything is fine. no way.
    do uu have any idea?

  • Bookmarks Don't Sync Since iOS 5.0 Update

Bookmarks generated on the iPad aren't syncing to the computer. Bookmarks generated on the computer aren't syncing to the iPad or the iPhone. Bookmarks generated on the iPhone aren't syncing to the computer. It doesn't work when syncing wirelessly or when I hook the iPad or iPhone up to the computer with the cable. There is no checkbox in iTunes now. iTunes has a field that is labeled Bookmarks and says it will sync them but it's not working. Everything else seems to be syncing OK. I don't use me.com or mobile me. All my software is up to date on the iPad, iPhone and iMac. I'm still using Snow Leopard - the latest rev.

I reverted back to syncing Bookmarks via the cable and the Bookmarks synced OK. To do this I did the following (although I'm not sure it's necessary to do all of it):
With the iPad disconnected from the iMac:
    1. I turned Bookmark syncing on the iPad OFF by going to Settings/iCloud
    2. I re-booted the iPad
    3. I closed iTunes and Safari on the iMac
    3. I re-opened Safari and Reset Safari on the iMac - in the Pref pull down menu
    4. I hooked the iPad up to the iMac with the cable. I let it go through a sync operation.
    5. I went to the Info page in iTune and selected the radio button for Bookmark syncing, and then hit Apply
    The Bookmarks synced OK
So the issue is with iOS and iCloud

  • Calendar not showing appointments in today view in iOS 8.0.2

After updating to iOS 8.0.2 my calendar appointments are not showing up on my today view in notification center. Anyone having the same problem and come across a fix?

Actually, the update became available after I had connected the phone to my computer and the iTunes on my computer was in the process of downloading the update. I disconnected my phone from the computer midway because it was taking too long.
So so I with that said, two questions:
    1 - Is it still a virus/scam?
2 - Smartphones like the iPhone can be infected with viruses? If so I guess I gotta download an antivirus app!

  • Apps/Music/Books Don't Sync 3GS iOS 4 to 4s

I had an iPhone 3GS and am upgrading to an iPhone 4s. I'm using a Mac and trying to sync and get the new phone back to the state of the old phone. After starting up the new phone, I chose sync from iTunes, was told to connect via USB and did that. It went through the sync process and I ended up getting contacts and photos over, but no apps or music. I did get my apps configuration (my folders were there, though only populated with the default apps) and the correct items on my favorites. When my phone is plugged in to my computer, iTunes lists the apps and music. They are listed to sync. The capacity bar show that the iPhone has 177 apps and 1359 songs, 23 videos, etc with 31 gb free on a 64 gb phone. But on the phone from Settings About it says that 0 songs, 1 app and 55gb free.
One thing about my apps, the overflowed the 11 screens as they pulled them out of folders. I tried to clear that up to no avail.
I've tried Restore and ended up back in the same spot. I still have it listed to back up to this computer. I've restarted iTunes. I've restarted the phone. I tried getting an app on the phone to see if it would transfer back to the Mac and it did not (thus the 1 app listed in About).
Tried calling support and they have nothing so far.
Any thoughts or suggestions to get syncing actually syncing?
    --Tim

Not sure what the 6.3 GB of other is, but I had the same thing when I upgraded to iOS 5, it took a long time for my phone to sink, like 3 hours. Once it was complete the 6.3 GB of other went away.

  • Calendar not syncing following IOS8 update

I really hope someone can help me - I have spent about 3 hours trying to sort this out.
Updated my iPhone 5 to IOS8; and my calendar not longer seemed to be syncing (Outlook 2010 on Widnows 7).  Did some research, and it looks like I am now forced to use iCloud - would prefer not to, but this doesn't seem to be an option.
Managed to get my contacts to sync eventually, but my calendar still isn't syncing.  When I look at my calendar in Outlook, I now have several calendars, including the "Calendar from iCloud" which has all my appointments in - in Outlook.  On my phone, however, there are just one or two appointments, and at bizarre times (such as my personal training session at 4am - I'm not that dedicated!!  I have logged into iCloud Calendar through a web browser, and the calendar is the same as is showing on my phone.
I have signed out and back into iCloud on both my PC and my phone (when I signed out on my PC, it lost ALL of my calendar information from Outlook but was restored when I signed back in.  I have signed out on my iPhone, reset it, signed back in...nothing.  The problem seems to be the sync between iCloud and Outlook.
I have checked the iCloud Outlook Add-In is active (actually it wasn't, but I managed to activate it, and it is now active).

Hi,  I think we should focus on the apple bugs and not try to insult each other...... No software is without its bugs...
I have IOS 8.0.2 on my iphone 5 and ipad 3 and managed to get around the syncing issues..... so it appears that this bug may be hard to replicate, and likely to be dependent on on a number of variable factors.....
JennBaggs, have you tried the following
    turn off iCloud Calendar Sync
    turn off Outlook Calendar sync
    Close all Apps
Power Off iPAD (holding the power down button)
    Power on ipad
Perform system reset (Hold down home key and power button until the screen blacks out and displays the apple logo.
Turn on only outlook calendar sync
go to your calendar app and ensure your outlook calendar is selected  for view (you can check this by selecting the plus button at the bottom center of the calendar app.
I'm hoping this sequence of steps remedies your problem....

  • Google Calendar not showing up on iPhone

I'm trying to get me iCal and Google Calendar to sync. I've set up my gCal in iCal using the CalDAV instructions and now my gCal shows up in iCal, but as a separate calendar, not really what I consider syncing with my actual iCal "home" calendar.
The other thing is that the gCal won't show up on my iPhone at all. I'm confused about this because I've read several post of people saying their gCal show up but as read only. Is this true?
Am I missing something? Has anyone gotten their gCal to show up on the iPhone using the CalDAV method?

I do this with BusySync from BusyMac.
    http://www.busymac.com
This is a system preferences that syncs your google calendars in your google user account with a given calendar under iCal. It works seamlessly both ways. We have several family calendars on google calendar and they go back and forth to my iCal and then synced to my iphone without a hitch.

  • TS1627 Syncing Calendar from my iTouch via USB (sync services) is intermittently unreliable. I'm positively not interested in iCloud. Anybody in the same boat?

Today's immediate problem, described below, appears to be solved for the time being, but I expect recurrence based on past experience. I am not sure whether iCal, iTunes, sync services, or some combination are implicated. Does anyone know how to improve USB sync reliability? Is there a magic utility that can spot and repair trouble, or is there a more reliable system out there? A paper calendar maybe
Tonight I discovered a few events that hadn't made it from my iPod touch to iCal. Then I tried creating a couple new events and synchronizing. They remained on the ipod, but would not show up in ical. New events created in ical did get to the ipod though, quite consistently.
I eventually reset and restored my itouch. And reset sync services using terminal:
    % /System/Library/Frameworks/SyncServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/resetsyn c.pl full
Finally I can get new calendar events entered on my ipod to sync to my mac again, but those that failed to sync before still refuse to show up in iCal. They just have to be deleted and re-entered... assuming I can find them all, which I cannot do with certainty, because I can't easily figure out how long the problem has been going on without me realizing it. I'll probably miss an appointment or two, make a few friends and colleagues unhappy. Again.
Current system details: Synching my iPod Touch (gen 4, iOs 6.latest) to my zoomy retina MBP, running 10.8.4. It's an all-apple setup, no third party apps or hardware involved.
The usual/recurrent problems I've seen with syncing the itouch to iCal are:
Events modified on the ipod will be unchanged in ical. Or more rarely, the other way around.
Related to the above, a dialog box will occasionally pop up asking me to resolve sync conflicts. Sometimes lots of them. Usually my ipod has it right, and iCal hasn't caught up. I wish all the errors were caught this way, because it's pretty easy to correct errors by clicking through this interface.
Events entered on the ipod fail to appear in iCal, or vice versa.
Events get replicated, sometimes repeatedly with subsequent sync. They multiply like tribbles.
I generally muddle through using Apple's help pages, run through a few suggestions from the forums (thanks all), and after a long night of resetting various things in various ways, the bit rot is at bay yet again. A month or two down the road, things go wrong in some slightly different way.
Most of the time I have a positive user experience, but it seems the sync zombies are always lurking just beyond the light of the campfire. Is Apple paying attention to sync services anymore, or have they put all their resources into iCloud? I have no interest in iCloud. I don't want another email address to get spam, and am not comfortable keeping my data in the cloud.

Never mind. Turned iCloud on, then off, on the iTouch - then the expected option appeared in iTunes.

  • My itunes says that my ipod is synced with another library when it is not and cannot update or sync without wiping it and all its data

My itunes says that my ipod is synced with another library when it is not and cannot update or sync without wiping it and all its data
    Can anyone help me

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your ipod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
    Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
All media content will be erased during the first sync, but you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the ipod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

  • Alarms don't work on 3 out of 4 of my devices synced through Google.

Strangest problem--I've been using iCal manage my Google Calendars all synced on my four devices (iMac, Macbook Pro, iPad 1 & iPhone 4) via Google's cloud server for quite some time.  Now, when I add an event to any of the 4 devices, it shows up on the rest but if I add an alarm on any of the devices except my iPad and click 'done,' it just disappears--no alarm set when I open the event again on the same device or any of the others.
I tried to work around this by just setting alarms on my ipad but I now realize that even though the alarms show up on all my devices when I add them via the iPad, they still only go off on the iPad.  This system just won't do if my alarms don't ring on my iPhone, as that's the device I always have with me.  Haven't installed any updates or done anything else that I can think of that might have messed it up.

    > I already installed the 9.1.1.1024 driver but another one is used for every USB entries. It's a microsoft driver 6.1.7601.17586 from 21/06/2006.
This isnt the problem. My notebook uses the same driver. This is a common MS Windows driver which is part of the Windows system and it controls the USB ports.
By the way: what Windows system do you use? Did you try to recover the notebook using recovery disk? If not try this to check if its hardware related problem.
By the way: go to BIOS and set it to default. Not quite sure if USB ports can be disable in BIOS of A660 series but its worth a check!
