Calendar on Ipad won't sync to MacBook Pro

The Calendar on my MacBook Pro will sync to my Ipad, but additions to the calendar on my Ipad will not sync to my MacBook Pro.
I have followed all the directions  on the Apple Support page:  IOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer. All software is up to date.
When my Ipad is connected to my computer and Itunes is open, I then select my Ipad, then the Info button.
Under Sync Calendars I see the statement "Your calendars are being synced with your Ipad over the air from ICloud"
Icloud is turned on on both my Ipad and my computer.  The calendar application is selected in both places.  In particular under iCloud in the Settings app on my Ipad and under iCloud in System Preferences on my MacBook Pro.
I have also made sure ITunes is open and both my Ipad and my MacBook are connected to power and on the same WiFi Network.
I have read numerous posts on the web and none of them seem to help.
If anyone can tell me ANY WAY to transfer Ipad Calender entries to my MacBook I would really like to know.  At this point I would be happy to learn how to do it when my Ipad is connected directly to my computer and avoiding ICloud altogether.
Thanks for any Info!

Here are a couple of thoughts:
1.  Are you using the identical Apple ID and password on your MacBook Pro and your iPad?  Are they the same on both devices' iCloud account as well?
2.  You might try logging into http://www.icloud.com using Safari on your MacBook Pro.  Check the calendar there.  Does it receive the iPad's updates?  If so, meaning the Safari's iCloud version gets the iPad updates but the MacBook Pro does not, you have isolated the problem to the MacBook Pro.  If not, meaning the Safari iCloud does not get the iPad updates just as the MacBook Pro does not get the updates, you've isolated the problem to the iPad.

  • Pages docs created on iPad won't sync with macbook pro

When I create a Pages document on my iPad version 1... it appears on my MacBook - but remains permanently in 'updating' status - I have some on there that were created several months ago and cannot be downloaded.  If I create a doc on my MacBook, upload it to iCloud.. it syncs within seconds to my iPad.... but if I then edit it more on my iPad it appears edited on my MacBook, but again in permanent 'updating' status.  Can anyone help...or will I have to make the trek to the Genius bar?

Try saving any documents that you can and then deleting them from each device where possible. Go to System preferences> iCloud> manage and delete any iWork documents that you see there. Then go to each device and turn off iCloud documents & data syncing on each.
Once everything has been removed, you can then re-enable document & data syncing on each device. Add back a couple of documents (do not add any documents that used the same name as any documents previously) and see how it goes. Once it appears to be working correctly, you can then add back all your documents.
Whilst it won't help you recover documents that have already become corrupt, can I suggest you get into the habit of backing up your documents in the cloud regularly.

  • ITunes won't sync between MacBook Pro and iPhone 6

I have a new iPhone 6 and tried to sync (by cable) my iTunes on the phone to my MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard). I get a message that the MacBook won't sync to the iPhone because the iPhone iTunes needs to be updated.  Also, in iTunes on the MacBook, the device (iPhone) is not even recognized for syncing.  I thought iTunes on the phone would be updated by syncing with the MacBook!  Any advice?  I cannot find a way to update iTunes directly on the iPhone.  One last quirk, even though the message says it couldn't sync, some songs appear on the phone!

    Opps,
I should have also said is it a Received At ID ?
If it is try deleting it and then re-adding it.

  • Items purchased on my iPad lost when synced to MacBook Pro

I purchased music and TV shows on my iPad which downloaded fine. When I synced my iPad to my MacBook Pro they have all disappeared. I did nothing different to what I normally do when syncing and am really annoyed. I 'reported a problem' via my order in the iTunes store on the 8 things that have disappeared, several of them being albums which means I am missing a lot of what I have paid for through no fault of my own. iTunes support have responded to 2 of the 'reported problems' one was relisted in my downloads and the TV series has apparently been refunded, have to wait 5 days for that to show. The rest I have heard nothing on. Has anybody had this problem and if so how did you resolve it? How can I contact the iTunes store to chase this up and get an answer??
    All help gratefully received.

You are not alone! This happened to me this evening. I had purchased an album on my iPad and went to back up this purchase on my computer. After the sync I went back to my iPad to play off the album and all but three songs were missing! The horror continued when they were not on my computer either. How am I supposed to be held accountable to "back up my music" if my music is lost in the process?! I hope someone has some ideas for us.

  • IPhone won't sync with MacBook Pro

My iPhone 4s won't sync with my MacBook Pro.
    Running Mountain Lion 10.8.5.
    iPhone 7.1
    iTunes 11.1.5
Last time I synced was March 17.  Can't remember if there's been updates on the phone.  None on the laptop.
    I'm so annoyed.
I've done the usual shutdown/on again stuff.  Just can't get it to work.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind.  After reading through a bunch of fixes, one suggested resetting my modem, duh!!
I certainly know to do that when the laptop is acting up, had no idea that would fix the iPhone too!!
    Hope this helps someone else.

  • IPhone 4s won't sync with macbook pro OS 10.7.5

I'm Duane, and I'm frustrated.   My wife recently upgraded from iPhone 4s to 5s and gave me her 4s.   It used to sync ical very well until I purchased iCloud space.   I've deleted iCloud, but when I try to sync iPhone and ical (onMac Book Pro) I get this prompt: "The iPhone 'Duane…' could not me synced because this computers no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone."    Then I am directed to "choose Store > Authorize this computer."   Which I have done so at least four times, with no results.   Can you help me?

Did you authorize your computer for all the Apple IDs used to purchase apps an other media on your phone (in Store>Authorize This Computer)?

    Hi vichochile,
If you are having an issue with syncing your new iPhone with the information that is in iCloiud (and on your other devices) we should make sure that iCloud is set up correctly on the iPhone. See this page for directions -

  • IPad won't sync; instead tells me it's syncing for 2 seconds without result

    Hey
    Here's my problems:
My iPad won't sync to my computer
My iPad's system time and calendar are messed up after the failed sync
    What happens:
Once I connect my iPad to my PC with iTunes open, it starts to sync
Two seconds later, iTunes tells me the sync is finished
Nothing new appears on my iPad, and my the time and calander are messed up
    What I've tried:
manual sync (only works for music)
    reboot computer
    reboot iPad
    uninstal and reinstal iTunes
Info (I'm not sure if all of this is relevant):
I just switched from a 32 bit Windows XP to a 64 bit Windows 7 computer
My iTunes is also 64 bit
I'm using a different iTunes account than I was before, and I've successfully downloaded books and music with it on my iPad
The iTunes library is in the right place (it's on an external hard drive, just like it was on my old computer); I can see and play the music on my computer
I have an iPad 1, latest software update available; it's about two years old
My computer runs on 110 volts, and my iPad runs on 220 volts (I baught my iPad in europe and moved to the US a few weeks ago; I use an adapter to recharge it, which works fine)
I've tried different USB ports, all directly in my computer
Thanks for reading all this :/ Hope anyone knows whats wrong. Thanks

    SOLVED
It turned out I still had apps installed from my previous iTunes account (Apple ID), which I deleted and re-installed using the new account. After that, it worked perfectly

  • I cannot sync my MacBook Pro address book (Mac OS X Version 10.5.8) with my iPad that has iCloud. Please help.

I cannot sync my MacBook Pro address book (Mac OS X Version 10.5.8) with my iPad, that has iCloud. I can get my music and photos to sync, but not my address book or calendar. I have tried turning off iCloud, but that does not work. Please help.

You may install Snow Leopard OS, maximize the RAM to 8 GB and install a larger HDD, or spend a lot of money and install a SSD.
    Ciao.

  • ICal on iPad Air won't sync with Mac Pro

All I want to do is to sync the iCal on my iPad Air with my Mac Pro (both with the latest systems) WITHOUT using the cloud. Why doesn't the sync function really sync when I attach the iPad to the Mac Pro? The dialog says that it sync's, but it doesn't.

Seriously?  There are various reasons why I don't use the Cloud, but I want to sync my calendars on my iPhone with my new MacBook Pro.  So I've been setting up the new machine, and most things work, but I can't get the phone to sync calendars with the MacBook.  The instructions (on the laptop) say to plug in the phone, and go to iTunes, select the device (the iPhone) and then click the Info tab.  But there is no Info tab to click.  I've searched and searched, and cannot find it.  So, now I'm thinking, is this the answer to this problem that Apple hasn't alerted me to?  ...or am I a complete moron for not being able to find it?  The look in iTunes is different from what I'm used to looking at in my old machine (an older MacBook).
Music, iTunes U, and other things seem to sync properly.  I haven't investigated yet to see whether my calendar is syncing up right.
I don't keep up on all the nomenclature:  "Mavericks" refers to the new OS that came with my Macbook (10.9.1)?

  • How can I sync my iPad 2 with my new MacBook Pro when it is already synced with my old MacBook? I am getting a message on the new MacBook Pro that says I am not allowed to sync the iPad 2 because it is synced to another iTunes library.

How can I sync my iPad 2 with my new MacBook Pro when it is already synced with my old MacBook? I am getting a message on the new MacBook Pro that says I am not allowed to sync the iPad 2 because it is synced to another iTunes library.

    1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
    2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
    3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPad but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPad with it.
above works for purchases from the iTunes store. for everything else, check out this post by Zevoneer.
also, there are PhoneView and iRip.

  • My ipad won't sync photos, need help please

my ipad won't sync photos anymore, anyone out there can help

You could try clearing the photo cache.
You could also try a reset of the iPad and see if photos sync after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • The ipad won't sync some photos, saying the file can't be read by the ipad, however it will sync some photos taken at the same time which are the same size and file type.  Why does it reject some and accept others?

The ipad won't sync some photos, saying the file can't be read by the ipad, however it will sync some photos taken at the same time which are the same size and file type.  Why does it reject some and accept others?

Hi there. I'm having the same problem: my iPad won't import some photos from a folder, saying that they can't be read. They are all JPEGS and some photos taken at the same time have synched fine, but out of a folder with 200 photos, it only lets me synch 37. I'm synching albums created via Photoshop Elements 6, which has worked fine until now.
I've tried deleting all photos and re-synching, and have also deleted the iPod Photo Cache, but it hasn't made a difference.
The iPad auto-updated to the latest version of iTunes, so maybe that's what's causing it?
    Any advice gratefully received!
