Calendar on iPad

Whenever i make any new calendar entries on iPad and then sync with my MacBook via a USB cable, the new entries are promptly transferred to the MacBook. But after disconnecting the entries disappear from the iPad. The new entries made on the MacBook 'stay alive' in both locations.
Also, all my calendars created/subscribed on the MacBook appear on the iPad but do not appear on iCloud. How do I get them on iCloud?

Not sure why these calendar entries are disappearing on your iPad, and I'm not aware of a straighforward way to transfer "On My Mac" calendars to iCloud calendars.
When creating a new calendar with iCal, you have two options - "On My Mac" and iCloud. Create a new iCloud calendar with the same name as the "On My Mac" calendar. Select the On My Mac calendar and at the iCal menu bar go to File > Export and select Export. Choose your location for the export.
With the new iCloud calendar selected with the same name as the On My Mac calendar, at the iCal menu bar go to File > Import and select Import followed by selecting the iCal export for the On My Mac calendar. This will import the locally stored calendar events for the On My Mac calendar to your iCloud online calendar making the calendar available on your iPad automatically and for syncing calendar events over the air between iCal on your Mac, your iCloud calendar, and your iPhone without having to sync direct  with iCal via the iTunes sync process.

  • Shared Exchange Calendar in iPad

Hello, I am dealing this issue pretty long time but with no result. I was able to add shared calendars of my colleagues in Macbook Calendar. But now I need to add it also to iPad (or iPhone). Like it or not but for example our CEO uses just iPad, no PC.
So I need to figure our how to open shared exchange calendar in iPad.
    Thank you for your tips.

I'm not sure if it's possible to open the full OWA from an iPad...perhaps somebody else knows, but in the version which shows on my iPad, that functionality is not allowed.
There is no way to add a shared calendar/mailbox to an iDevice.

  • How can I Print the calendar from iPad with WiFi-Printer?

It's possible to print the calendar from iPad (1) to a WiFi-printer?

I also wish I could print my calendar from my ipad, it's crucial for my business yet they forgot to put a print option????? How hard would it be?? A screen shot doesn't help, on my wifi printer it reduces the image by one third? They say computers make like easier, but do they? We spend so much time just trying to get stuff to work, we can never really do what we need to, without having to talk to seven hundred people to find a hard to work solution.

  • Birthday calendar on iPad  one day early with iOS5

The birthday calendar shows all birthdays one day early after upgrade to iOS5 on original iPad. I have all the automatic time adjustments and location recognition on. What is wrong?

I have read that this is a bug, here is a fix which has worked for me at least for the time being:
Here is a process that worked for me to correct the information in Calendars re birthdays appearing one day out:
    (1) If your iPad/phone is syncing contacts with iCloud, turn it off. In Settings on your iPad/phone, Mail,Contacts,Calendars, Accounts, iCloud, turn off Contacts.
    (2) sync your iPad/phone to iTunes.
    (3) now select the ‘Info’ tab in iTunes for your iPad/iPhone. Ensure that ‘Sync Address Book Contacts’ is ticked. (You can revert to syncing with iCloud later, after this process is complete.)
    (4) scroll to the very bottom section of the Info tab. Where it says ‘Replace information on this iPad/iPhone’, select ‘Contacts’.
    (5) Sync again.
Now check Calendars on iPad/iPhone, this process ‘fixes’ the information of birth dates and they should now appear correctly.
Thanks to @fortbailey for this. By the way Steff_BKK, is one of your email accounts an Exchange account? (This has been reported as something to do with this bug.)

  • When syncing multiple Google calendars to iPad, switching event to different calendar on iPad creates a duplicate in Google. Ideas?

When syncing multiple Google calendars to iPad, switching event to different Google sub-calendar using iPad creates a duplicate in Google.
Using Google account with the Exchange setup on an iPad mini. iOS up to date. I have a secondary calendar in my Google account for some appointments, and when I create the event on the iPad and it defaults to my main Google calendar, changing the event to the secondary calendar caused the following:
    1) at first, the event totally disappeared from my iPad. Scary! Reappeared when I went into Gcal on the web, opened the event to edit, and re-saved. Phew.
    2) Failing to re-create error #1, I switched a new event from primary to secondary calendar, and it then appears correct on iPad, but is duplicated on the web. The duplicate remains even after deleting the changed event on iPad, refreshing Gcal, etc.
Just curious if anyone else is having this problem or has discovered a workaround or fix.

When you open the Calendar app, tap the button at the top-left corner (Calendars).  That should reveal all the calendars you have available, and you can select/ un-select any or all of them.
If you don't see your 2nd GMail calendar listed, go into Settings/ Mail/ (account name) and make sure you've turned the calendar ON for this account.

  • Adjust fonts on calendar for iPad's to see better.

    Hi,
I have an iPad2 and my parents can't see the calendar very well as the fonts are too small.  Have tried to adjust the font settings and that did not work.
I am requesting APPLE to update urgently the ability to adjust font size so you can read it better on iPad within the calendar.  There are so many people out there that can't see very well when adding appointments on the calendar for iPad's.
My parents have iPhone 4S and iPad 2, therefore needs to see their appointments on both ios devices as well as iCloud too.
APPLE!! please update it for everyone.
    Thanks

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. You're not addressing Apple here: You can let them know how you feel on the Feedback page:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
In the mean time, you may want to poke around the App Store. There are lots (LOTS!) of calendar apps. You may find one that is easier for your parents to read.
    Best of luck.

  • Can  you add more than one google calendar to ipad?

Is it possible to add a second users google calendar to ipad and switch the default back and forth? I have set up a second google email address and can switch to which is the default but cant see how to do it with calendars? If not possible, then how can I remove/replace the default calendar set on it now?

I wanted to create a sound effect of toy car hitting the wall. I just used the built in microphone and recorded my hand hitting the table. My hits were a bit out of sinc with the movie (the car hits the wall, backs up, then hits again and again. My slapping noises did not match up. I tried to go in and cut up the sounds so I could move them. This did not appear to be possible. I could "trim" it but not cut out individual sounds. Can this be done?
    Thanks

Thank you for your help. However, I still have no connection; could it be that the laptop is signed in through my account and the iPad through my wife's?

  • I need to sync my mac calendar with ipad and iphone and visa versa.

I need to sync my mac calendar with ipad and iphone and visa versa. I have read up on it and Mobileme seemed the way to go, but isn't for sale anymore.  Will installing lion allow me to integrate calendars???

You should post in the SL forum for more help.
Since you're using SL, you should be able to sync using iSync application or iTunes. I'm not familiar with it, but I know it can be done.
And yes, if you install Lion and use iCloud, you will be able to sync iCal between all devices. Once set up, whatever change made on one automatically updates the other. Same for AddressBook.

  • How do I stop double entries in calendar on iPad OS5?

How do I stop double entries in calendar on iPad OS5?

I assume iTunes works the same in windows and Mac OS. I had the same prob and deactivating the sync in iTunes fixed the double calendar prob.   Connect your iPad to the computer. In iTunes, select your iPad - it will probably want to sync - that's fine - let it finish.   In the top row of iTunes you'll see headings (Summary  Apps   Music etc.) and the last one is Info.   Click this heading (once).  You'll then see panes headed: Sync Address Book Contacts and below it: Sync iCal Calendars.   My guess is that you'll have the check box ticked.   Click it so the box is unchecked.   (Oh, and make sure that Address Book and Mail boxes are unchecked too).
Now, look down to the bottom rght hand corner of your iTunes window.      You should see the "Sync" button.   Click it.   A note says something like: Do you want to remove Calendars from your mobile device.  (you will still have Calendars linked by wireless).   Click the Yes box.
After Sync has completed, your iPad should have just one set of Calendars.   Remove your iPad - after clicking the "eject" symbol beside the name on the iTunes window.
    Cheers,

  • Delete All Calendars from iPad?

Simple question; hopefully a simple solution.
I want to delete all calendars from my iPad2, so that I can then copy the calendars from my Mac onto it?
I want all of the data deleted from my iPad, and don't want it to show back up again.
Like I said, it should have a simple solution.
    Thanks!
    Jon

    MacBook Pro, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, Mac OS X 10.6.8

    Does this help you:
    http://www.ehow.com/how_7427878_delete-calendar-ipad.html
Repeat the same procedure for all calendars.
If the calendars came in via an Exchange account, you can remove the calendar syncing by editing the exchange account (settings -> mail, contacts and calendar -> accounts) and switch "calendar" in this (http://blog.fosketts.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Exchange-Account-MCC.png) dialog to off.

  • My ipad has stopped syncing my calendar. Both iPhone and ipad.  After going to the setting - mail, contacts, calendar my Ipad has no where under the calendar category for default calendar.  How can I get my calendar to sync between iPhone and ipad???

Up until recently my calendar were syncing (between my iPhone 4 & ipad mini). They are no longer synching.  I have searched and everything matches to all the resolutions, the problem is on my ipad under Calendars in the settings there is no option for "default calendar". Every other option matches to what is on my phone, just the default calendar option is missing.  The default email is the same for both.  Help!!!!
    Thank you
    Penelope190

An interesting additional symtom is that items loaded in the PC (which immedialely duplicate to the iCloud calendar on eht PC - no worries, there) do not transpose the devices (as above) but, loading an item into the phone, it goes to the PC (which is fine, too).  But not to the iPad.  Interestingly, there fewer calendar display options on the iPad than on the phone.
I talked to Apple a few months ago (after ISO 5) - mainly about the 6000 plus addresses that suddenly appeared in my Contacts - and his advice was do all contact and calendar actions on the PC.  "icloud is still faulty"
So there we are!   I must have items and reminders in my PC - it is my main work station - and need them on my devices to avoid conflicts when away from my office.

  • Multiple email accounts and calendars on ipad

My wife and I both have iphones and we each have two email accounts for a total of four email addresses altogether.  I just ordered an iPad Air and while I'm waiting for delivery I started thinking about managing this collection of accounts.  She has a hotmail web mail account as well as a work related Microsoft exchange account. I have a Hotmail web mail account as well as an AOL web mail account.
With two independent iphones this works just fine.  While the iPad will technically be "mine" things will get very weird in our household if my wife can't just pick up the ipad and check her email while we are hanging out in the living room and it's just lying there asking to be picked up and used.
What other applications are affected by this issue - calendars and notes and messaging for example?
    Thanks!
    Pete D.

Frankly, sharing an iPad like that would be a disaster in my humble opinion.
Not only calendars, notes, reminders would be co-mingled, but so would bookmarks, iMessages, ...
I strongly recommend against sharing an iPad.
