Calendar on iPhone needs a lot of work

I just needed a place to vent/recommend changes for the Calendar app on the iPhone/iPod Touch.
I used to have a Palm, but now with my cool iPod Touch, I'd like to organize my life with it. So far, though, the Calendar program is proving less than useful.
I really like the iCal desktop app, but what I don't understand is why the iPhone version is so totally stripped down to the point of obsolescence. These are my issues that I'd love to see updated:
-Calendar colors are not respected:
In iCal, my work events show up in red, classes I teach in blue, things my girlfirend does in pink, and so forth. When I sync to my Touch, work becomes green, teaching changes to red, and my girlfriend - orange - which is also the color of another category. I know the Touch can handle a wide spectrum of colors, so why limit/change my color options? It's simply confusing.
-No week view:
Of the various calendar views - day, week, month - I find week the most useful to look at, but that's the very one that's not included on the Touch. Even if it means turning the Touch on its side, I would greatly appreciate it.
-Very limited event editing:
The whole idea behind having a portable calendar is so you can check your availability and add new events, so I'd love to have the exact same features available on the Touch as there are on iCal. On the touch, I can set up recurring events, but am limited to weekly, daily, etc. (i.e. no every Monday/Wednesday). I can't create new calendars, set colors, or add events to specific calendar groups.
So what I'm trying to say is the Calendar app on the iPod Touch is useless. I'm not saying it should be more like the Palm app (which was wonderful, by the way), but all I ask is for the full, expected functionality of a portable calendar app.

ICloud email needs a lot of work

Does anyone know if/where Apple has a place to report bugs with iCloud.com apps?
The email app is pretty unstable. Most of the time, searching doesn't work at all. It just spins for a while and then tells me that it can't complete it right now. Most of the time, composing new messages doesn't allow me to attach anything to the message. Just throws up a weird error. Sometimes attachments work just fine. There's almost no rhyme or reason to it.
And finally, the iCloud.com mail app itself is incredibly slow.
Definitely a lot of work needed. Earthlink's email client was better 5 years ago.

Mail Spell Check Needs a LOT of Work

How do we get Apple to make major improvements to their MAIL Program? I love the program and it's ease of use, but the SPELL CHECK adn GRAMMAR CHECK leaves a lot to be disired. I will NEVER say that Outlook is a better mail program BUT it does a superior job in handling these two functions.
This has cause me infinite problems as I always do NOT have time to go back and FIX what Apple has changed.
Presently I use my MacBookPro and my Mac Pro, and both have the problem. I just upgradedto Mountain Lion on my Notebook and it is no better.

This Site Needs A Lot Of Work

I have just spent over an hour trying to post a question to the support forum and have been unable to do so. I get an error telling me to correct the highlighted errors and try again. THERE ARE NO HIGHLIGHTED ERRORS. It is just a simple post with a subject line and body text. The error message doesn't tell me anything helpfull and I was unable to post my problem.
I've noticed a couple of other annoying things about this site too. For one thing, I log onto the HP web site and when I go to the forums I find that I have to log on again. What's with that?
Then I have to really look around to find out how to post a question. I get the feeling that you would rather people didn't post questions to the forum because you've done a good job of hiding the links to post a question. A user really has to search for it. And then you wind up getting an error and can't post anyway.
So guess I'm going to have to call HP supprt rather than trying to solve my problem through your web site.
This site has a TERRIBLE user interface.

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

Is it possible to sync your iphone to 2 pc's (work/home)and keep outlook calendar?

I had a iphone but returned it, but now I need confirmation that it is possible to have an iphone sync between to PCs (work / home). I want to know if its possible to have it sync the phone with two computers. Home has itunes for music and such, work doesn't have itunes on it - but I need to make sure that my calendar syncs between the two computers.
I am concerned that if I sync at home it will upload fine but then if I try to sync at work it will want to delete all my contact on my computer and replace with what's on the iphone?

You didn't say what contacts application you are syncing your iPhone with, but almost all give you a choice to list contacts by name or by business. That setting on the computer should transfer to the synced iPhone. Works with my Mac.

How do I keep my home calendar events from showing up in my work calendar (outlook)? I have my work e-mail on my phone and need to see the work calendar but I don't want personal appointments showing up on it, like drs. appointments, soccer games etc.

I want to keep my home and work calendars separate but be able to look at both on my phone. I don't want my personal appointments and events to show up on my work calendar, although it's fine if work events show up on my home calendar. When I delete a personal appointment from my work calendar in Outlook, it disappears from my home calendar on my phone. I just want it to disappear from my work calendar!. FYI, I have my work and personal e-mail accounts on my phone.

When you say "use the same purchasing apple ID for both to share books/music apps"- will this allow him to see what apps I download on his ipod (don't want)? will this allow me to continue to see what apps/games he gets on his ipod, on my phone (do want)? and do I set those changes on both devices?

iPhone: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Automatic Downloads:
     Music: ON
     Apps: ON
     Books: ON

     now you decide what he gets automatically.
He doesn't use game center, imessage, facetime or anything else (mainly just games, music and picture taking)- so does he really need his own apple id and email address? also- if he wants to start getting text messages, would i still have access to all of them if he has his own apple id? would i have access to them if he stays on my apple id?
Then he doesn't need an Apple ID.

If the calendar is connected to a server account, like Exchange, you cannot sync via iTunes. You need to connect to the server on your MacBook.
If it is not connected to a server account then you need to ensure syncing is set up in iTunes. This is in the Info tab for your selected phone in iTunes.

Unlikely. Based on the complete lack of detail of the issue provided it is entirely possible the same issue would occur.
Unless and until the user provides some actual details of the problem, there is nothing the indicate that the issue is with the iPhone.

This is regardless of whether I am in a good Wi-Fi zone or not. I like to use Find My iPhone to remotely track my battery charging status whenever my phone is charging in a different room. You don't need to update to iOS 8 to use Find My iPhone. If you haven't already tried, go to Settings>iCloud>Find My iPhone and turn it off, then reset your phone (hold the sleep/wake and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release). After it restarts, turn Find My iPhone back on and see if it works properly now.

When I go to ICal it asks for the username and password which I no longer have. The calendar is still on my phone (even though the email account is on my phone but doesn't work) Is there a way to copy my calendar to a different email address on my iphone? I have now set the default email account for the calendar to a current email address but I still can't figure out how to merge my iphone calendars, copy the iphone calendar to iCal, or save my iphone calendar to my mac. Also, I read in ITunes to check "sync to ICal" but my ITunes under my iphone and info just says "Sync Calendars" which doesn't transfer it to iCal when I sync my phone.

I have downloaded Viber to my iPhone 4s, it was previously working but now displays a message saying i need to connect to the internet before i can make a call or anything else, My phone is connected but the app does not seem to recognise this?

It displays this message while connected to the internet at my home, or with 3g. my internet connections seems to work fine on other apps that require this. I have tried to reinstall viber but i can not not setup my profile becauase the same message displays. does anyone know how i can resolve this?
