Calendar order problem

I have been trying unsuccessfully to order a calendar that I created in iPhoto. It seems to get hung up during the uploading process. After lengthy waits, I get a generic error message that tells me to cancel or try again.
I have restarted the computer, and even reconstructed the calendar completely. Also, when this didn't work in Mountain Lion, I went ahead and upgraded to Mavericks and upgraded iPhoto. Still no luck. Any ideas how I can make this work??

Have you previewed the calendar, to check, if it can be processed?

  • IPhoto calendar ordering problems

    Hi all,
I have been having serious problems ordering an iPhoto calendar.
First, I ordered it on Monday using express shipping, such that it should have arrived by Friday, and instead on Friday I got a cryptic email saying "Apple is unable to process your order and you will not be charged. We recommend updating your software, previewing your print product in iPhoto or Aperture, and placing the order again." (My iPhoto is fully updated and I've ordered calendars before with no problem.) I spent about 30 very frustrating minutes on the phone with Apple (worst customer service experience I've had with them) trying to get an explanation, but got none, and ultimately they told me I should re-place it and they'd give me free overnight shipping when they saw my order (nice enough...).
I'm now trying to re-order and am repeatedly getting the message "Your credit card information could not be verified at this time," no matter the card I use. Has anyone had either of these problems? Any advice? I am loathe to get on the phone with Apple again given the number of times it took to even reach someone who knew anything about print products.
I'm at the point of dropping Apple's print products entirely and going with another provider in the future. The ease of using iPhoto to make calendars is totally outweighed by this ordering and shipping ridiculousness...
    Thanks for any suggestions!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Contact Apple via this link: http://www.apple.com/support/iphoto/customerservice/calendars/. Lay out the problem in detail and submit. You should hear back from them in 1-2 days.
Also log into your account thru the Store button at the top and then the Youre Account on that page, as opposed thru iPhoto, and see if you can confirm your account that way without an error.

  • ITunes 7.2 Problem: Song Order Problem

    Equipment Specs:
    IPOD -- First Generation, 1 G size, Firmware ver # 1.1.5
    ITunes -- Ver # 7.2.0.34
    Problem
I recently updated to the above version of ITunes. I also recently reset/erased all my songs (no podcasts or nothing else)from my IPOD.
I then reloaded just songs to my pod using the drag and drop method from the music file. I then re-arranged the songs in my desired order.
I then disonnected the pod and exited ITunes.
When I later restarted ITunes with the pod connected, my song order had changed. With the pod still open in ITunes, I am no longer able to change the play order position. As say, move song #45 to position #2 and etc.
Has something changed as I was always able to do this prior to updating ITunes and the pod ?
Was this caused by updating ITunes to the newest version?
Is there a solution to be able to manage the order of your songs as before ?
Can I use a 6.0 version of Itunes inorder to regain this song order problem. I was always able to use this function in a previous version.
Wished I never would have updated to 7.2 from whatever I had. I really should have know better.
    Thx
    Arc

Solved my problem by reloading ITunes Version 7.1.1.5. Now I can accomplish what I want to do.

  • Artist sort order problem

    Hi.
I have music sync'd via iTunes Match from my laptop to my iPad and to my iPhone. The names and order appear correct on both the laptop and on the iPad but on the iPhone several artists are either shown in all lower case or the last name will be used by the sort, rather than the first.
I've reset the artist, album artist and sort artist tags to different names (and they show up correctly then on the iPhone) and then set them back, but the problem remains.
I'm thinking that the iPhone has a corrupt file somewhere - but how can I reset that without losing everything on the phone?
A factory reset and restore from iCloud results in the same problem.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks guys.

I also have an Artist sort order problem. While the circumstances are quite different from yours, I wonder if it's due to a similar corruption problem. I don't use iTunes Match. I found Kenny G listed under letter T.

  • Iphoto Book ordering problems

After 3 weeks of constant attempts I feel I need to see if anyone out there has a thought on why I receive a return email from my book order "Problems with your order - you have not been charged etc etc"
I have done everything possible from deleting photos, trying EVERY theme, deleting maps, background photos. I have corresponded by email with the Apple help, and I have spent about an hour at the Genius Bar at Apple to see if anyone can solve my problem. Everyone has comeback with "we don't know"
I work with a MacBook Pro Mac OS X 10.6.4, have plenty of memory, all software is up to date.
I am just about to reinitialise my hard disk, install iLife 11 and make the book again, as I can see no other way to try to get this book ordered. Hopefully, oh every so hopefully this will solve my problem.
    Any guru help?

Since yesterday there have been many reports from all over the world of people unable to buy a book or any print products from Apple.
Apple has to fix this on the servers.
See for example this link:  Re: Trying to buy book I created. When I hit "checkout" nothing happens. It's not like Apple to not want to make more m…

  • Field order problem I think

I just burned through 10 dvds and they all look terrible. There are all these wavy lines. Is this a field order problem? If so, how do I correct it. I have missed my deadline and I am in big trouble. Please help.

DV formats ALWAYS use field 1 dominance -- LOWER FIELD FIRST!
Since your content was created in a graphics program and not a DV camcorder, be sure to read through: http://www.greatdv.com/video/fields.htm
BTW, It's ALWAYS the best idea to create a disk image out of iDVD (an option under FILE). Verify the image plays correctly with Apple's Disk Utility and then make the actual burns to writable media with Apple's Disk Utility or Roxio's Toast. Use quality DVD-R media (Verbatim or Maxell) and burn at 4x speed or lower.

    good morning :-)
I am trying to order a calendar and a footbook for more or less 3 days.
Neither the calendar order nor the footbook order can be completed.
I wait for about 10 hours but the uploading is not completing. Its only uploading 3-5% and thats it....nothing happens.
    Can anybody help me ?
I have alrdy tried to restart iphoto, my imac, searched for software updates but nothing changed.....

Have you enabled "Express Checkout" at the Apple Store?
If you have not already done so, check your account settings directly from the apple Store page and not from iPhoto and then try again.
You can open the Apple Store page directly from the top of this page:
On the page that will open, go to "View Account".
On the next page, check your account settings, and change the settings for "Express Checkout".

  • Calendar ordering failed but charged my credit card!

I created a calendar with iPhoto (running on latest version of Lion).  I started the ordering process.  I was taken to a screen to sign in to my apple account and to verify the charge for the calendars (ordered 2 of them). I submitted the order.  Then a screen said oops, the Apple store was temporarily unavailable!
I checked my bank account, and sure enough, Apple charged me for the calendars.  But on my account there is no order number or any other sign of the order actually having gone through.  I'm pretty sure -- never ordered through iphoto before -- that my pictures weren't uploaded to apple to create the calendars.
I'm wondering how to get a refund?

  • Problems with Calendar order from iPhoto

I've tried twice to create a calendar out of iphoto and I've gotten a response via email after several days that there was a problem with the order:
Apple discovered an issue with the file you submitted. It appears the
calendar has small month names. As a result, Apple is unable to process
your order and you will not be charged.
We recommend updating your software, changing the theme on your print
product, then changing it back to the original theme.
Once completed, preview your print product in iPhoto, and place the

We appreciate your business and apologize for any inconvenience.
There are no updates for my OS or iPhoto. I changed themes and went back to the original (and had to rebuild it all over again, grrrr). Any ideas what could be causing this?
So much for getting these for Christmas presents. Thanks!

    Dear Martha,
I had the same problem, and this bug in iPhoto cost me my yearly christmas presents for all of our families (grandparents, aunts, uncles etc.)
By digging through this forum, I found the solution that actually worked for me.
But I will not order the calendars from Apple because they cancelled the calendars three times without telling me what the problem was, and endless and numerous calls with different support people at Apple gave no solution.
I will now export PDFs and send them to a different service.
Maybe in your case there is another project.db file?
Sometimes, when iPhoto rebuilds databases, it seems that it creates a second one.
(I read it here somewhere in the forum - so I hope this could be a good hint to follow)
    All the best,
    Martin

  • Calendar + PDF Problems

Hi, I got my curve 8900 a few weeks ago and it's definately the best phone I have ever had, but I've just hit a bit of a problem. I had all of my calendar appointments sorted out perfectly; College exams and revision sessions, Birthdays, events etc. I have just set up my Email settings and Facebook settings to recieve emails and notifications straight to my phone. This has all gone smoothly, apart from the fact that this seems to have messed up my calendar. All of the appointments are still there, but they have changed colours so that I have default, email and facebook appointments.
This wouldn't really be a problem, but I am using a theme that shows me calendar appointments on the home screen and it only shows calendar events that have been set to email (even though the appointments have nothing to do with my email account, the phone just randomly put the events into the three catagories!)
Also, if i try to make a new event for the calendar, it asks me what I want to send the event using?? What does this mean? If I pick email, does it send the event to my contacts via my email? If I pick facebook, will it post the events on my profile? I would rather just keep my calendar private...
I just wanted to ask if there was a way to turn off all these features and return back to my original calendar, but still be able to have my emails and facebook notifications on my phone?
Also, does any one know any decent free PDF reading software for the blackberry?
    Cheers,
    Warren.

Have you previewed this way -
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.
what is the physical size and what are the pixel dimensions of the photo with the low quality warning?

  • How do I prevent iCal from rearranging my calendar order?

    Hello,
I have about 15 iCal calendars, three are my own creation, the rest are subscriptions or downloaded calendars. I would like calendars with similar content to be grouped together on the calendar list. That way, the display order on the daily/weekly/monthly is in a rational order.
For example, I have a number of 'all-day' events that I would like diplayed in a specific order. The way to do this appears to be to re-arrange the order of the calendar list. The problem is that no matter how many times I rearrange the order, iCal (or more probably iCloud) switches them back. Or occaisionally to an entirely new arrangement.
Thinks I have tried, based on internet searches of this problem:
    1. Deleting the file com.apple.ical.plist from the library/preferences. This did not seem to change anything, although it's not clear to me whether I should delete the file before or after making changes.
    2. Turning off iCloud on all my other devices, then making the changes on my mac iCal. This also did not help.
    3. Changing the order of the calendars on iCloud.com. The problem is that subscribed calendars do not appear on iCloud.com and therefore cannot be moved.
    4. Angrily trying to change the order of the calendars for twenty minutes, hoping it would magically "take." Alas, it did not.
If anyone has any thoughts, I would really appreciate it. This has been driving me crazy.
    Derek

I see this is an old question with no answer. I can't find any answers for this anywhere on the internet. Anyone with any ideas?
My "all day events" are in order until I go to print. It then reorders them with no apparent rhyme or reason. The printed calander doesn't look good either with the different calendar colors all mixed up. The only way I have found to keep the order is to make them timed events which they are not. ( I get questions like : "why does it say seven o'clock at my name?" )

  • Success with Calendar Order

I have seen a lot of posts on this forum about problems with the iPhoto services (calendars, cards, books, etc.). I read a lot of these before ordering one for my mom for Christmas, and it made me skeptical about buying. But, I did anyway and I just wanted to say that it came out perfect. All of the photos came out crystal clear with awesome color. It looked exactly like the digital copy. Some even had the yellow "!" mark, but I ignored it because most of the pictures were taken with a Nikon DSLR or a Canon PowerShot; both nice cameras. I can't wait to see her reaction on Christmas when she opens the sleek packaging
In short, I just wanted to give some props to Apple for once again amazing me with their products. I wanted to give a little positive note to those who are thinking about ordering a calendar, to reassure them that they will most likely be satisfied even through all of the negative reviews on this site.
Hope this helps By the way, I have iPhoto 6 on a MacBook Pro.

I too had great success with a calendar and book order. The calendar was a present for my mum but, the only downside of it was, when she saw the Apple logo on the box, she thought I had bought her a laptop!

  • IPhoto 6 book/calendar order failures

Using iPhoto version 6 (version 6.0.6 (322)), I have tried to make my first order (3 copies of a calendar) using 12 jpg digital photos from my iPhoto library. (Upgraded to iPhoto 6 as per Apple Support advice after similar error with iPhoto 5 in early 2007 - although strangely have made successful book orders in 2006!)
However, this always fails - I get the error message "An error occurred while uploading one of your files. Please check your network connection and click Retry to resend your file." I have tried re-sending several times, restarted completely, created a duplicate calendar, etc, but no luck, the same error message appears. I can create a PDF file without any problem. I have no other problems with iPhoto or my iMac or with other uploading/downloading, broadband connections, etc. Any ideas - is there some preference file or something that needs trashing?

Thanks Jonathan - but in my case I've been trying on and off sporadically for over 8 months! This was first on iPhoto 4, now on iPhoto 6 (Apple Support told me in April when still on iPhoto 4 that "If this does not resolve the issue for you, I would advise you to upgrade to iLife '06." - a good sales pitch on their part but it's changed nothing!).
I've tried some of the other suggested fixes, e.g. creating a new account, deleting specific files ("Preferences" - "By Host" folder and the "com.apple.iPhoto.plist"; Library - "Caches", Trash the iPhoto folder, as per http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=556861&tstart=90) but no luck.
Strangely enough, up to about January 2007 I'd successfully ordered two or three books on the old iPhoto 4 set-up. I wasn't aware of any changes to set-up - same OS etc, it just stopped working for me! Any other ideas out there?
