Hello.... I am a new ipad2 user and have a HP Printer wireless. Sorry for the length of this post but I am really having some issues.
1. I must have a calendar with a print option. I am a sales rep (10 calls per day/ with notes on each call). Each week I am required to turn in a projected sales calendar for week and then a copy of the previous weeks actual calendar w/ detailed notes. I would like to make notes on my calendar as I call on my clients and just PRINT at weeks end. This is the reason I bought the iPad....to work smarter lol
2. My HP wireless printer keeps telling me to load paper into the PHOTO tray when I try to print.
The questions are:
Do you know of a good user friendly calendar (ipad2) calendar that has a print option?
I have been taking a picture of each day of my calendar by pushing my off button and home button simultaneously, emailing each day to myself and then printing.... Work smarter? Not so much.
How can I print letter size paper from my printer vs. the photo tray?
Please help...don't want to miss the Super Bowl :)

Hi,
Exchange server does not provide Calendar Printing assistant feature.
Is it an outlook add-ins?
Please check whether shared calendars can work properly in OWA. If there is no issue in OWA, the issue should not be related to Exchange server.
If the issue happens in OWA, please collect details of errors and post them here for more troubleshooting.

That's not the point.    Before iCloud, Outlook synched with Apple Calendar and/or iCal.    With iCloud, Cal syncs with iPhone and other devices.     Outlook doesn't have to sync with iCloud (although that would certainly be nice).   It just has to continue to sync with Cal, which in turn syncs with devices via iCloud.
But for some inane reason, it doesn't.    If this is Apple's way of forcing people to not use Office and only use Calendar and Apple Mail, they are going to stop the gains they've made in business environments.   Businesses, especially large businesses, use Outlook.   End of story.
Furthermore, Apple's instructions for setting up or deleting iCal and iCloud accounts is complete gibberish. And I'm a tech who has been working with computers for 32 years.   Apple used to be great at making things easy. They now suck at it and are just as bad as Microsoft.

Calendar printing issue

When printing a weekly view in Calendar, instead of printing the full box for each event, Calendar prints a thin line running down the left side where the box would be and prints the text next to it. Is it supposed to print this way? Can I change it so the full box prints?

From what I can determine, what you are seeing in the Weekly view is the default and there is no user selectable setting to change the Event lines into full boxes.

Problems when printing help topics from OHJ

We have encountered some persistent problems when printing help topics from Oracle Help for Java (Ice Browser).
NOTE: When we print the same source files from Oracle Help for the Web, the printing problems are gone.
(1) Spacing Errors (all printers had identical results)
Text with special formatting (<b>, <i>) often has either too much space or not enough space.
Links often have extra spaces underlined before or after the link, itself.
(2) When printing multiple help topics from the TOC (an entire branch in the tree):
On some printers, no graphics print correctly, but instead print as one of the following: 1. empty box the size of one character, 2. black box the size of one character, 3. black box the size of the original graphic. We could not detect a pattern that caused 1, 2, or 3.
NOTE: all graphics are bit maps (screen captures) that were generated in the same manner.
NOTE: if these same help topics are printed one at a time form Oracle Help for Java, the graphics print fine.
Is this a problem with the Ice Browser?

There are a known issue with the ICEBrowser printing in some circumstances. The laying out of text by the ICE Browser relies on font metrics (being able to measure the width of a run of text in a given font). On screen it looks great, but when printing, even though the GraphicsConfiguration for the printer is being used, these widths are sometimes off, which can result in text running together at boundaries between text styles. We're not sure what to do about this problem, and we've reported it to IceSoft.
Not every font has this problem, so varying the font you are using might help the appearance when printed.
The other problem you report, problems with the images when printing multiple topics, is something that we will look into.

Calendar input help in web layout

Hi Community,
I have a BPS web interface with a planning layout for input of date, which has been generated by the means of bps_wb. This layout uses key figure of type date in data columns.
If I execute the layout in BPS0 the calendar input help pop-up (F4) comes automatically, which is not the case in web.
Is this a bug or lack of functionality?
I just want to be sure if OSS call is legitim.

Hi,
In bps_wb, you need to set the type of input for each selection variable. What is the type of input you have selected? Ensure that you chosen the option "With Input Help".
If you want the input help as part of the layout, go to the settings for the layout. You can then specify the type of input help you require for each field.

Borderless Printing Help

I really need some borderless printing help. I finally figured out with my printer, that the bottom margin is ridiculously offset so I need to use borderless printing to prevent the bottom footer from being cut off (HP 2610 printer, margins being read are .07"-top, .13"-right&left, .56"-bottom).
I know there is a way to choose borderless from the page setup screen. And I tried looking in the system preferences to see if I could choose borderless as the default but there doesn't seem to be a way as far as I can see.
Does anybody know if there is a way to override the settings and make the borderless 8.5x11 the default paper size instead of the standard US letter?
BTW I am looking to do this on a system-wide basis since multiple programs have this problem, but if anyone knows of ways to do this specifically in Pages or Word that would be helpful too.

Got it to work in MS Word 2004. Any idea of how to get it to save in Pages 2? I choose to Save As Default, but it keeps reverting back when I open a new document.

Bex Broadcasting w/Print Help Service

I need to set up BEX Broadcast that will process a web template, then run the Print Help Service, and finally send the output (print formatted) to an email distribution list.
How can I set up either the web template or the broadcaster so that it will include the call to the print help service in it's command stream when scheduled through the broadcaster?

usually, you don't attach "modify_class" to the URL CMD, rather it needs to be attached to the object tag of the "item".
Once it is attached to the object tag, you just need to attach "help_serivce" class & the "item" to the URL CMD.
I've included a few lines of sample code here. Hope it helps.

Calendar print out with telephone link

Hi everyone!
We have a strange calendar-print out Problem.
We are running GW 2012SP2 on the Client and GW 2012sp1 on the backend.
Default compose view is set to "plain text"
If a User creates a posted appointment in plain text and writes a number
(like a telephone number) in the message field with further
text the number is converted to a kind of "telephone link". OK - but if
we want to print out the calendar
in "expandable day calendar" format with message content the output is
not correct.
Somtimes the code of the link is part of the output or the text after
the "telephone link" is missing.
Can anyone duplicate this?
As a workaround we found either to compose the appointment in HTML or to
delete the "telephone link" manually.
Is this a known bug?

Calendar input help blinking on popup window

Hi experts,
I have strange behavior of input field with data element of type DATS assigned. Field is on popup window and when I try to pick a date value calendar input help blinks and hide, so it is not possible to pick a value. Any ideas why? Thank you.

I've been using iCloud since it's inception as "mac.com" or whatever it was called. I've been able to Sync Outlook Exchange Calenars to my iMac, iPhone and iPad. However, I cannot get iCal (when viewed in iCloud) to display Exchange or Google Calender items.
It's odd, all other Mac versions of iCal are happy e.g. iMac, MacBook Air, iPad Air, iPhone etc. But nothing when I login to icloud.com and look at the iCal there.
