    Hi,
Have you checked that the two applications are set to the same timezone?
Outlook will have a timezone setting in its Prefernces > Calendars. iCal is either set to the timezone in System Preferences > Date & Time  or if you have timezone support set in iCal's > Preferences > Advanced it will be in whatever timezone is shown in the top right of the iCal main window.
    Best wishes

  • Calendar show event on incorrect day - timezone miscalculation

I have an event that occurs on Thursday from 7am to 8am in Sydney, Australia. I am in Central time in the US, so it occurs on Wednesday from 2pm to 3pm. The event shows up in my calendar on Thursday. The event was created in Outlook I assume, and shows up correctly in my Outlook, but not Mac Calendar. Any ideas on how to get this to show up on Wednesday?
    Thanks!

Time Zone support is turned on and linked to my current time zone correctly. Also, the event is now showing up on both Wednesday and Thursday. I am not sure what caused it to do that, but the problem originally started that way, then moved to just Thursday, and now it is back to both days.

  • After syncing iphone calender dates are a day behind?

After creating an event on my imac and after syncing with my iphone 3G the events are a day behind! Can anyone help?

I've turned the phone on and off and I still cannot access the bottom of the 'Mail, Contacts and Calendar' setting screen, it's the same issue.
When I go to sync the iphone with iCal on the mac it gives the times as US/Pacific so this is surely the problem. I just cannot access the Calender settings. How frustrating.

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

  • New event on Wiki Calendar always saved a day behind

I just did a fresh installation of Leopard Server & updated to 10.5.6 .
Group wiki, blog and calendar are displaying as expected. I noticed that whenever I created a new event, the event date will be saved a day behind the selected date in the Event dialog window. For example, if I want to create an event on 3rd Jan 2009, I would have to set it on 4th Jan 2009.
My time zone is Asia/Kuala Lumpur and time server is time.asia.apple.com .
    Any ideas ?

    Ways around it :
    1. Create an event with a duration (at least 5 min). You can have it begin at 12:00am if you want to.
    2. Create an all day event which MUST begin on or after 08:00am . Anything before this will be marked in the previous day box (even though the date and time values are as the way you have entered). I tried creating an all day event beginning from 07:55am and it was marked in the calendar a day behind. So 08:00am is the magic number.
Question : Is 08:00am regarded as a new day in iCal server ?

  • PreparedStatement set date sometimes sets the date one day behind

I have a PreparedStatement that sometimes sets the date a day behind. I am saving to a MSSQL DB with a field datetime. I have two identical PreparedStatments, one for insert and one for update. When either is executed, it will sometimes set the date back one day. It's not everytime. Every other or every third one, but it's not consistent. Any help would be appreciated.

The database is a datetime field. Then you should be using the appropriate java jdbc time/date methods to access it rather than strings.
We are only storing the date portion. Saving with today's date should produce '2009-12-28 00:00:00.000'.
I just want to set the date to an absolute date (no time value) provided without timezones.Impossible. Since the database datatype is datetime that means that a timezone is always involved.
And java always uses timezones. Ignoring the problem doesn't make it go away.

  • Synching Calendar shows all day events over two days

Hello, been playing around with this for the last hour.
I run entourage and sync calendar events via itunes no problems, but today i noticed that some events for example birthdays were running across two days, checked them in calendar and they are fine, also check the events in ical and they are all set as one day.
When i synch the phone, i get an event running across two days????
tried various options, removing from one an sycnhing back and to, removed evertyhing from iphone and chose in itunes to Replace information on this iphone yet events are two days. Edit them on the phone and resynch and they appear again as two days.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks for any advice offered?

I did, and said that there are others. I did not however specify a specific thread.
Is there some reason why you cannot search for answers using the search facility ?
Its not difficult - just like using Google. there are a few threads i have seen in the last week or so, but I'm too lazy to point them out for you.

  • Calendar events showing every day

    Hi all,
Recently it seems that when my Calendar app is displaying month view, every day has a little square in it - the one that indicates an event. However, about half of my days have no events at all.
I have repeating events set every eight days for four days (for my four-on four-off shift rotation) but that's about all. I'm sure I remember it used to show correctly, i.e. blocks of four with events and blocks of four without.
    Anyone any ideas what's happened?
    Thanks for reading
    BBz

I have the same problem. With me it is only on the "Birthdays" calendar which was uploaded from iCal to my calendar server before I went with syncing with CalDAV. The daily and list formats do not show anything weird, only the monthly view. I assume it is a problem with a repeating event, but I can't find it.
I've even done a reset and reload from backup of my iPod and it did not help. Next step is probably to delete the Birthday's calendar completely on my server and see if that cures the problem. I am waiting until there is an easy way to restore it on the server.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.

  • Birthday at contact list 1 day behind after sync.. time zone problem?

I found out my iphone have problem with time zone after my US trip.
I lived in NZ and I used NZ time zone all the time and changed to US zone while I was on holiday..
I found out after I backed and change backed to NZ zone.. all the birthday listed under contact list is 1 day behind. Which I checked the information on my macbook the are all correct and time zone is correct as well.
No matter how many time I sync, the birthday still 1 day behind. I tried to change the time zone to US on my phone and manually update to correct local time. all birthdays are correct. But only thing is the worldtime has been messed up since I manually update the phone.
So this solution is not working...
I tried to re-boot, reset the setting. not working...
Once I updated the time zone back to NZ time to fix the world time.. it mess up the birthday again..
Any solutation to work things around? i am at firmware 1.1.1

If the birthdays and the rest of your calendar dates/times are correct on your Mac, try setting the phone's time zone to NZ and then when you sync, from iTunes scroll to the bottom of the Info tab and check the box to replace calenders on the phone.

  • IOS - iCal problem - Events appear as "all-day" whereas they shouldn't

See below a conversation I had with a service provider.
There is a bug in iOS when dealing with events in UTC times.
    Any solution to this?

    Hi,
I noticed a small problem with a calendar to which I subscribed on my iphone.
Events that are configured to last from 6.30pm to 7.30pm appears as Full-day events on iOs.
Thank you for reporting this issue. We're aware that IOS sometimes
misinterprets the iCal files we provide. It appears that it is reading
the times properly (as seen in the event detail and grid views), but is
mislabeling the events as all-day in the list view. Is this what you're
    seeing?
    Thank you
    Michael
    Exactly.
In the event's details, times are OK, but in the listing, event appears as all-day.
But why only for 6.30 to 7.30? When i change times to 5.30 to 6.30, it shows fine.
It appears to be related to the interpretation of time-zone information. We provide the game times in UTC format and count on your device's calendar program to make the appropriate adjustments for the local time zone. When the provided UTC times span two days (e.g. 11:30pm - 12:30 am, before time zone adjustment), IOS seems to mislabel the event as "all-day".
    Thank you.
    Michael

Does this problem still occur with iOS8?

  • In the Calendar, what happened to the day's list of events?

In the calendar in iOS7, tap on the day and I don't get a list, but a timeline that was already available by turning my iPhone to landscape view.
When I tap the day, I want a list of what's scheduled for the day, not a redundant timeline function.  This is especially true if the chosen day isn't "today."
If trying to schedule something, I can see where it might be advantageous to 'see' an opening in the day, but when reviewing the events for the day, it's not helpful at all; in fact it's aggravating.
I could touch the magnifying glass and fill the screen with every entry for the forseeable future (or past).  That's great if you're searching for an entry, but not if you only want to review one day's schedule.
How can I get my list for one day back?  Am I missing a setting/choice somewhere?
Hey development guys!  If it's not there already, can we make it a user-defined display option?  Or a hybrid of a scrollable two-hour window with the red line showing the time, followed by a list of the day?  Something, but I want my daily list back somehow...
    Thanks,
    Joe S.

it seems with the new implementation of 'stacks' the feature you mention is gone. which is sad, but i bet we'll see it added back in a future update, cause that's a bad change

  • Ipad calendar events are one day early

    Hello,
I recently switched over to iCloud. And now all-day events are one day early on my iPad only. The dates are fine when I look at iCal on the web, and they're fine on my Mac Pro and my MacBook. I tried resetting the iPad, and it didn't fix it. The time zone is was set to automatic, I tried setting it to manual, but still no change. Any other ideas?
    thanks!
    Joe

All of my dates are out by one day in ical (and address book). I can change them manually (best advice I could get from Apple), but it keeps happening to me. Any help appreciated, I have 10.8.6; macbook pro, iphone 4s and am frustrated. This seems to be a common problem but I can't find a fix.
In the post above advice is to go to itunes, "info tab", Advanced...but I don't see an "info tab" -
    Thanks for any help!

  • Calendar Problem: Past events disappeared!

I have the iPhone 4S. Earlier today, I was checking the Calendar app for info on a test I had last month, when I noticed that the event (along with another I had on the same day) were missing. I thought at first that maybe I had accidentally deleted them. But then I went onto the iCloud website, and the events were both still there. Then I took another look at the Calendar app, and saw that these weren't the only events missing.
At least 3 events from earlier this month, most of the events from last month, and everything before March that wasn't one of my contact's birthdays, have disappeared.
Current-month and future events haven't been affected, only past stuff. Everything still shows on the iCloud website, though.
I've tried checking and un-checking and re-checking the different calendars I have (3 calendars attached to iCloud account and 3 e-mail accounts) but that doesn't seem to have had any effect.
HELP PLEASE!! I'm not always by a computer, so having to login to iCloud to double-check events is going to become a pain in the you-know-what.

Try going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Sync (in the Calendars section) and set this to a longer time period.
