Calendar Range of Dates Order By doesn't Seem to be Working

I have the following query:
select cdate,to_char(insdate,'DDMONRR:HH24:MI:SS'),room,no,
(CASE
when no = 1 then '*'||room||'*'
when no = 2 then '*'||room||'*'
when no = 3 then '*'||room||'*'
when no = 4 then '*'||room||'*'
else '*'||room||'*'
end) COLOR
from roomview
order by cdate,insdate
This is the result:

Sorted upon date & per date sorted upon insert date of the record...
For 14 october my display colors are lightgreen,pink,red and for 15 october the same lightgreen,pink,red...
Sorted upon date & per date sorted upon insert date of the record...
When I create a calendar on this query the colors/insert dates are being mixed up:

Anyone an idea how to solve this...

Hello,
The calendar query doesn’t exactly run as is. It’s embedded in some “higher” level query, which take into consideration other aspects of the calendar. I found out that it is best to feed it sorted records, and not rely on it to sort them. Try the following:
select cdate, room
from (select cdate,to_char(insdate,'DDMONRR:HH24:MI:SS'),room,no,
(CASE
when no = 1 then '*'||room||'*'
when no = 2 then '*'||room||'*'
when no = 3 then '*'||room||'*'
when no = 4 then '*'||room||'*'
else '*'||room||'*'
end) COLOR
from roomview
