Calendar Reminders-Stopped Working

I have the 8330 Curve.  Recently, my calendar reminders have stopped working.  I use Groupwise (GW) email and MANUALLY sync my BB.  I still get the reminders in GW, but no longer get them for any new appointments that are coming across.  Is there anything that I need to check?  I can't seem to figure this out....

Try to reset the device by removing the battery for 30 seconds and replace it. See if any reminders come across
If you go to create a new appointment and scroll down to the reminder field, does it say none or 15 mins? If you go into the Calendar Options what is your default reminder set to?

  • Treo 700wx Calendar/Task Reminders Stopped Working

I have had to do a hard reset on my Treo 700wx about five times over the last couple of months because my reminders stop working for task and calendar items. I still get the voice command which tells me about the upcoming appointment, but no reminder appears and if I miss the voice command for whatever reason, I do not get prompted at all about the appointment. Same problem with tasks.
This is a frustrating problem and I'm near the point where I am simply going to tell Sprint they need to replace my device with a new Palm based OS. I should not have to do a hard reset every few weeks and then reinstall/reconfigure my device.
Since the main draw of these devices is for time management, I fail to see why Palm has not come up with a solution yet.

  • Calendar suddenly stopped working

My calendar suddenly stopped working and all my appointments have been deleted. Have upgraded to iOS 8.1. Any help appreciated! Thanks.

    iOS 8.1 Calendar Issue
    All calendar entries disappear.
    Easy fix:
    Open Calendar App
    Tap "Calendar" at bottom
Tap your calendar so a Checkmark appears next to it.
    Tap "Done"
All of your calendar entries will reappear.

  • My calendar has stopped working, it either doesn't open at all (tap on it and it appears to opn but closes straight away) or if it does open when I try to change dates, it closes itself. t

My calendar has stopped working. It either doesn't open at all (tapping on it it flashes on screen and closes straight away), or if it does stay open, eh. I try to change date or closes. Extremely frustrating. I have loads of entries in my calendar that I now can't access.

Have you tried closing the Calendar app via the multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Calendar app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then you could try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Reminders stopped working after installing 7

Reminders stopped working when I installed the 7 upgrade.  And the 7.1 did not help. Old lists evaporated, as did any list I added.  But if I searched I could see they were still there.  I went to the apple store and they shrugged their shoulders and said they had not seen it.  They said use it in the cloud and all will be fine.  Or wipe and reinstall, but all cookies will be lost, which is a huge pain.
I finally relented and enabled the cloud.  It worked for one or two days then stopped again.
I tried buying similar apps, but don't like any of them.
I just want the reminders app to work, I use it to organize my day.  It really ***** that Apple can't get such a simple thing to work, and my only option is to wipe and have to re-enter fifty passwords and user names.
    Any suggestions?

Was that Win 7 update from Lenovo, or Microsoft?  If Lenovo, it should have installed those missing features. If it was from Microsoft, you have to manually install the Lenovo drivers and software.
The easiest way to do that is to first install ThinkVantage System Update and run it.  It should download and install the other drivers and apps.  I'm running Win 7 pro 64 on my T400 - a MS upgrade clean install, then TVSU installed the Lenovo stuff.  Everything works.
Use the "SUPPORT" button at the top of this page, then "Download drivers and software" enter T400, install TVSU and you should be off to the races.

  • Calendar just stopped working; it just freezes

Calendar just stopped working. It just freezes, but the rest of the phone works fine! How do I get the calendar back up and running? I have all kinds of info that I need and don't want lost!

you just connect ur bb to the pc and do the backup. It will backup all ur data that you have. Did you already sync your data to your email?if you already done that . Justr restore again all your data on your  device.

  • Calendar sync stopped working: "Unable to process organizer data"

I'm trying to help a consulting client whose Blackberry Q10 stopped synchronizing calendar data 5 days ago. It looks like that's the only thing he synchronizes with his desktop. I've tried looking up answers, but I've found very little information about this problem, and the few suggestions I found have not worked.
    Phone: Blackberry Q10
    Model#: SQN100-2
    Software Release: 10.1.0.4189
    Blackberry Link Release: 1.2.1.31
Symptoms: After clicking on the Sync Contacts/Calendar button, Blackberry Link sits for a very long time on the "Syncing your contacts and calendar appointments. Do not disconnect your device." screen, with sporadic activity on the progress meter, before being returned to the Sync Contacts and Calendar Appointments screen. In the lower left, a warning message "Sync was unsuccessful" is displayed. When I click the Show Recent Activity link under that, a Recent Activity screen that repeats "Sync was unsuccessful" along with a second message, "Unable to process organizer data" appears.
Is there a way to resolve this short of restoring the phone to factory defaults? The calendar data on my client's phone has now gone 5 days without being synced, and he doesn't want to lose the latest changes.

HipsterZ10, I didn't mean to suggest that you aren't entitled to gripe, only that doing so in response to a post on a community support forum isn't particularly useful. (Do BlackBerry support teams even monitor this forum?)
You sound like someone who knows his way around BlackBerry very well, and I would love to do some brainstorming with you if you're so inclined. I have nowhere near as much BlackBerry experience as you have, but I have worked in many areas of computing support for over 25 years. I'd like to think that between the two of us - plus anyone else who can chime in with something constructive - we can come up with something that helps us all out,.
    With that in mind:
You've tried uninstalling and reinstalling without success. Did you just uninstall and reinstall the latest version of BlackBerry Link, or did you try uninstalling the latest version and going back to one that used to work? (Or did you try upgrading because the previous version stopped working?)
Did you try any direct edits to the Registry to clean out any BlackBerry settings that the uninstall program might've left behind? Uninstallers are often not kept up to date as software developers make changes to software, so they often leave digital detritus in the Registry. This usually has no effect on anything else, but can prevent software that was uninstalled from working properly when it's reinstalled.
You also mention that you've tried a lot of settings changes. Would you please share with us the settings changes that you made?
I know from other companies' devices that updates to the Windows software is sometimes accompanied by firmware or programming changes on the device. Does anyone know if that's the case for BlackBerry Link updates? If it is, then simply uninstalling BlackBerry Link may not be enough.
Have you been unable to sync only the calendar, or your contacts as well? (I don't know what else BlackBerry Link can synchronize.) My client has only been trying to sync his calendar. If the problem is confined to calendar sync, is there maybe a cleanup procedure that needs to be run on the device or on the Windows side to clean up old appointments every now and then? I know of other products that will fail to sync their calendars if there's too much old data.
Finally, does BlackBerry Link just sync the BlackBerry device with itself, or does it sync it with Outlook? That wasn't clear to me the last time I was in my client's office; he uses Outlook 2003, but I wasn't certain if BlackBerry Link was connected with it in any way. Come to think of it, my client also uses Windows XP, which does not come with the .NET framework by default. Some commercial software depends on particular versions of the .NET framework, and I've seen situations in which Microsoft updates to the .NET framework breaks 3rd party software. Does BlackBerry require .NET, and, if so, does it try to install the version it needs? To sum these things up, we could be looking at lack of support for older versions of Windows, Outlook  or the .NET Framework.
Those are some ideas; let's see if we can narrow down the list. I should be back at my client's office on Monday, but if anyone else has time to try any of this today, kindly post what you discover here.

  • My calendar has stopped working

The calendar on my G4 has stopped working. I no longer see what has been added and i can no longer add anything else. Looked on here and followed some suggestions for similar questions - went into privacy to make sure no apps were using my social calendar,  changed back to old apple id i used previously. I had previously had to create a new one to resolve other problems.  The calendar does not work using either id.  I don't use icloud and i never have as far as i know. Facetime is not working either. I am at my wits end. It is difficult being organized when you have a busy life but then if the calendar stops working you are baically screwed.

  • Calendar has stopped working!

I have bought a new Macbook and created a new Apple ID in store. I now have 3 apple IDs and don't know  how to delete them so that I only have one which connects my Iphone with my laptop. Since buying the laptop my calendar on my phone doesn't work. I have no idea if the two things are connected but think it must have something to do with Icloud. Can anyone help? I am a complete Luddite when it comes to technology - so need very simple instructions.

It's the native software, it's not connected to my Facebook and when I've restarted my phone it won't turn on, itgets to about 2/3 loaded and then freezes

  • Calendar sync stopped working from device to desktop

I have version 6.0 on my desktop, and a Curve 8520 Blackberry.  Syncing was going fine until last week, when all of a sudden I noticed that after a sync my desktop calendar was almost empty!  Most events had been deleted from there, but thankfully they were all still on my Blackberry.  Since then any calendar event I enter on my Blackberry does not get synced to my desktop, but anything I enter on my desktop does get synced to my Blackberry.
I am on a network, and we use Windows 7, Microsoft Outlook for our calendar.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Calendar reminders (notifications) still NOT working, even after 602 update.....

So, Verizon Wireless released the 602 update to the Gingerbread OS for the Droid X, and the calendar reminder popups (notifications) are still NOT working properly.
This is VERY frustrating, as I use these notifications (reminder pop ups) for everything from business related (meetings, etc) to personal (when to take medicines, etc).
It's also VERY frustrating because BEFORE Gingerbread, when the Droid X ran Froyo, there was NOT a problem with the calendar and its reminders.
I would assume that there are MANY, MANY people being affected by this issue...and I wonder why Verizon hasn't "put the heat" on Google to FIX this issue which is clearly related to the Android OS, more specifically, Gingerbread.
I used to like the Droid X very much, but now I'm counting the days until I can get an iPhone.  At least you know what you're getting, and won't have an update "break" functions of the phone.
So, Verizon, if you're listening... PLEASE get this calendar notification problem FIXED.
    Thank you!!

I'm the original poster of this topic.  And let me tell you the steps that I went through to try to get this resolved, and then I'll let you know the ultimate solution that I wound up doing and am happy about (but am NOT happy about Verizon & Motorola).
    1) updated DroidX to latest 602 update.
    2) went into admin partition and deleted cache
    still did not work
    3) went into admin partition and did hard reset (complete restore) from inside the admin partition
Still did not get calendar reminders to work.
    4) went into normal phone and accessed "Restore Phone to Factory Specs" from the Privacy menu in settings.  This caused the phone to do a similar hard reset as in step 3, except it also ran the beginning software (welcome to your Droid, we now have to activate your phone, etc).
Calendar reminders did not work. (REMEMBER... when I say they did not work, I mean that the reminders would go off EVENTUALLY , but anywhere from 30mins AFTER the appointment to literally HOURS AFTER the appointment).
    5) Created a COMPLETELY NEW AND DIFFERENT calendar at Google under a DIFFERENT screen name/account.  Configured DroidX to completely forget the original calendar and to start using the NEW one.
Reminders still did NOT work properly.
    6) Once again, tried hard resets.
    NOPE.  Still did NOT work.
    7) CALLED Verizon Wireless and described my problem and they pretty much didn't/couldn't help and said they would "send a report to the engineering team" about the problem.
And HERE is the thing that REALLY BURNED ME UP about this WHOLE ENTIRE DEBACLE.....  my DroidX worked 100% correctly BEFORE the Gingerbread upgrade to the Android OS.  When it was running Froyo (previous OS), every single calendar reminder on my original calendar worked every single time, on time, every time.  BUT... AFTER Gingerbread, it just didn't work.  (Don't get me started with the phantom powering on of the phone after it was powered off problem that STILL exists after the 602 upgrade).
SO.......... what did I eventually do???   Well, by this time, I was eligible for early upgrade at upgrading pricing and switched to the iPhone4 (I didn't want the 4S).  AND YOU KNOW WHAT???  Using the ORIGINAL GOOGLE calendar that I used before all the above stuff happened, my reminders on the iPhone4 work all the time, every time.  These include appointments that I made 8 months ago to new ones that I make every day.  And for all of them, the iPhone4 sets the reminder chime off EXACTLY when I want it to.
Now, I realize that this doesn't address the problem for you, Ganamide (who wrote above), but for me, I finally got to the point where I had missed critical appointments with clients and couldn't wait around for the DroidX Calendar Reminder Problem to be resolved.
So Verizon Wireless and Motorola (maker of DroidX) and Google (maker of Android OS) all have "negative points" in my book for allowing such a problem to continue without proper resolution.   Apple, on the other hand, gets "positive points" in my book for making a product that is rock solid and works well.

  • Reminders in Google Now stopped working

without any prompting Google Now was auto updated and immediately the Reminders stopped working.
i get a window that says "Reminder not set"
"Send feedback" "View Reminders" " Try Again"
    nothing works as a fix.
    i tried clearing the cache.
i tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it.
i tried the Google forums and those people do NOT respond.
    What else to do?
i really relied upon this feature.
    ???????????? Help

yes I tried that several times to no resolve, thanks for replying.
