Calendar starts from Sunday ...

Hi folks,
Currently the calendar in BI Publisher starts from Sunday. Is it possible and eventually how to change it as our week starts from Monday.
Thanks in advance,
Rossy

    Read this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/message/11501621#11501621
For example, if you set the Regional format to United Kingdom, the days will be re-ordered but it will have other effects as well which you probably don't want.

  • How to return the week number starting from Sunday as the first day

    Hi Friends,
My application needs to have a report for the weekly totals and must have the Sunday as the first day for the week. For example, January of 2005 should be in the report for having six weeks, Jan 1 is Saturday, this is week 1, Week 2 is from 2 to 8, and the last week , week 6 has 30 and 31. Days need not be displayed, only the week number as follows:
    Week Number Total Sales
    =========== =========
    Week 1 8,525
    Week 2 8,168
    Week 3
    Week 4
    Week 5
    Week 6
The discoverer hierarchies function for week (eul_date_trunc(item_date, '"W"W')) seems to start the week from the first day of the month regardless of the day. Oracle function TO_CHAR(item_date, 'W') does the same thing, .As the result, the January of 2005 has only 5 weeks.
Any help or advice for this issue will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much,
    J.K

    Try this
    ---------------------------------------------actual formula---------------
    select ceil(
    ( to_number(to_char(to_date('1-'||to_char(sysdate,'MON-YYYY'),'DD-MON-YYYY'),'D')) -1
    + to_number(to_char(sysdate,'DD'))
    ) / 7
    week_number
    from dual
e.g try different dates below by replacing 31-Jan-2005
    select ceil(
    ( to_number(to_char(to_date('1-'||to_char(to_date('31-JAN-2005'),'MON-YYYY'),'DD-MON-YYYY'),'D') ) -1
    + to_number(to_char(to_date('31-JAN-2005'),'DD'))
    ) / 7
    week_number
    from dual
    How does it work
week number is calculated by dividing the current day number by number of days
so in your case if the week starts at a different day , you just add the offset and divide by 7
In the first part, i am finding the week day number for the 1st day of the current month and this is used as offset.
    Hope this helps

  • Photosmart 7510 - Calendar starts with sunday

    Hi
i have a 7510 all in 1. The calendar app which allows you to print a monthly calendar sstarts off with Sunday as the first day. How do you change this?
    thanks
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

All apps are either HP proprietary, or are created by the company that partenered with HP to create the app.  To the best of my knowlege, HP has not released the language used to write print apps, and does not plan to.  Sorry.

  • How to get week starting with sunday date

    Hi
I have a date column "start_date", i need to create a report for all the weeks starting from sunday , for eg:
i need to get week dates as :
    mm/dd/yy - 01/23/11 , 01/16/11 , 01/09/11 and so on...
    Please help
    Thanks...

    Hi,
To find the last Sunday before or equal to start_date:
    SELECT     TRUNC ( start_date + 1
               , 'IW'
               ) - 1          AS week_start_date
...You can use an expression like this in a GROUP BY clause, also.
This does not depend on you NLS settings. ISO weeks always start on Monday. Your week starts 1 day earlier, so that's why the expression above has the +1 and -1.
    (Depending on you NLS settings,
    SELECT     TRUNC ( start_date
               , 'D'
               )          AS week_start_date
...might do the same thing, but I still rocommend using 'IW'; a few extra keystrokes isn;t much to pay for a guarantee that it will always work.)
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results you want from that data.

  • Calendar days to start from Monday to Sunday

    Guys,
On the Calendar functionality, when viewing the appointments by week then is it possible to have the day to start from Monday to Sunday?
Currently, it starts at Sunday to Saturday.

At this time the calendar is set for Sunday to Saturday. I would recommend submitting a enhancement request to On Demand customer care.

  • Change calendar start time and also show from Sunday-Saturday

    HI All,
Is there any way to have the calendar in CRM show from 7am-6pm instead of 8am-6pm? I can't seem to find a way to do this.  Also can I change the week calendar to show Sunday-Saturday instead of Monday-Sunday?
    thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
Your info helps me a lot also.
Especially for your second question about start day of the week.
There is also an attribute for the chtmlb tag for dateNavigator: firstDayOfWeek.
When tracing this attribute, I found that in current standard system, this is effected by a badi.
    Badi definition: CALENDAR_DEFINITION
    Current standard implementation class: CL_ISO_CALENDAR_DEFINITION
    method IF_CALENDAR_DEFINITION~GET_FIRST_DAY_OF_WEEK
    coding is
    weekday = if_calendar_definition=>c_monday.
You may try to change it to
    if_calendar_definition=>c_sunday
Regarding your comments "Just wish the starting day for the week will be as easy", this requirement has been raised to product management team in 2008. But don't know when it will be realized. :P

  • How to change Calendar week to start on Sunday instead of Monday

In the month view in the Calendar app on my iPod Touch the week starts on Monday. I want to change it to start on Sunday. iCal on my computer and the calendar on my Mobile Me account are both set to start on Sunday. How do I change this on my iPod Touch?

    roaminggnome wrote:
I believe that this is based on your region format. Settings>General>International>Region Format
You're right; I just tried that. Unfortunately, changing the region format also changes the language, phone number format and time format. Oh well. I do wish Calendar could pick up the preference from iCal, though, that allows for this. :S

  • Printing weekly calendar from Sunday want to print from Monday

Since upgrade with Yosemite can only print weekly calendar from Sunday. Wish to do from Monday. Can anyone assist please.
    Greg

    Hey there Grelin,
The printed calendars start on the same day that you have your calendar set to start on. You can change that in Calendars Preferences:
Change the days and times displayed - Calendar Help
Choose Calendar > Preferences, then click General.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,

If they had been holding their breath, they'd be dead by now and obviously not paying attention. I suspect Apple hasn't fixed it because, from Apple's point of view, nothing is broken. Have you submitted feedback to Apple letting them know what changes you'd like to see made?

How to calculate a number of calendar days from a start date (e.g. 60 days from 3/10/2012)

    DT,
If the starting date is in Column A, and you want to calculate what the date would be 60 days later, in Column B, write in Column B:
    =A+60
    Couldn't be much easier.

  • Calendar - how to make it start from Nov 1 2013

    Hi,
I have a calender item in my application.... my data has started to archive from Nov 1 2013.... is there a way to restrict my calender to start from Nov 1 (at the moment it pretty much shows all the months/days and causing confusion to my userbase as they think I have previous month's data as well)
    Thanks in advance

    Hi (???)
Which version of Apex are you on?
By "Calendar item" do you mean the Date Picker ?
If so, the Date item Picker  in Apex 4 onwards has a Minimum Date Setting
    See the links below.

  • Calendar: Start week on Sunday, like in OSX 10.5.8

Calendar: How do I Start my week on Sunday, like in OSX 10.5.8 ?

who says British calendars start on Monday? Someone isolated in Cupertino?
Nope, nothing to do with Cupertino.
The International Organization for Standardization, in ISO 8601, defines the week as being Monday to Sunday. The British Standards Institution agrees, as do European Standards.
So, Apple are just following international, European and British agreed standards.
