Calendar sync help needed

I am not allowed to use Outlook email at my workplace. It seems that I cannot use only the Outlook calendar to sync my Iphone without making it my primary email client. I need to have a desktop calendar of some sort at my work in order to manage my appointments. We are allowed to use Palm desktop or any web based calendar. I am trying to find a solution with 2 way sync between my Iphone and calendar. Can anyone help? I would deeply appreciate it as this has been a substantial problem for me with my Iphone. Thanks

Sorry u can onlky use ms outlook on a PC

I have many google calendars and all show up in my calender setting (iphone). I've chosen my primary calender with the radio button but in my "notification" screen multiple calendars show up??? how do i fix this?

I had just the opposite problem, that is, entries into Outlook calendar would not go to iCloud. I found the following solution:
Make sure that you are NOT running Outlook as Administrator (right click Outlook->Properties->uncheck "Run as Administrator". For some reason calendar sync (Outlook <-> iCloud) does not work if you run Outlook as administrator.
I don't know if this will fix your problem, but it's worth looking at. Let me know if it helps.

  • IMovie syncing help needed!!!

Am trying to use iMovie 11 and am going insane, seriously insane. I wanted to make an interview between my brother and I in time for xmas. So we recorded ourselves on camera, and used a zoom box and mike to record seperate and better quality audio.
Now, all I want is to attach and sync my audio clip with my takes, and his audio clips with his takes. Shouldn't be too difficult, right? Here is the problem. Once synced, I need to CUT DIFFERENT CLIPS and put them together, i.e. my brother talking, then me talking, then him etc. Yet I want these clips to have the seperate audio tracks attached and sliced in the same spot, which is just not happening.
I can attach the audio in the project window, but what I want somehow is to attach and replace the audio in the EVENT window, so I can just select the clip I want and drag into projects, and the synced audio will come with it. Does that make sense?
This would seem the most basic video editing ever but iMovie just won't do it!
Any help would be appreciated before I burn my mac and go back to a PC : (

This is difficult in iMovie, and rather easy in Final Cut Pro.
If you would like to avoid the expense of Final Cut Pro, I would recommend this...
    1) Sync your takes, make a project out of it, and SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME to Apple Intermediate Codec so you retain as much quality as possible. Repeat this for your brother's takes.
    2) Now import these AIC movies into iMovie using File/Import/Movies. This will give ou the video and the good audio together in unified clips.
    3) Now edit your iMovie project as usual.

  • Calendar Problem- Help needed

    Hi:
I have a google calendar but I did not use a Gmail account to set up the calendar. Instead, I used a pop account from my isp service provider- who is cogeco.ca
I am trying to sync my google calndar to my Blackberry built in calendar. I can't seet to do it.
Can someone give me the steps and the server addresses I would need to use.
Thanks so much. I appreciate your help and time.

I don't have a google/gmail address. I have an ordinary email address from my isp. That's what I am using . Is that what I should be using in this step?
    Thank-you
To use Google calendar, you typically have to have a google email address, for that is what goole uses to authenticate all of their services. If your ISP has some sort of relationship with google to provide, via your ISP, some google services, then you will need to inquire with your ISP as to how to use those, for that is a rather special situation, not covered by any of the normal methods. If your ISP does not have this special relationship with google, and you wish to use google for calendar, then you would need to create a google account.

  • Calendar project help needed! TIA!

I have a client who wishes to create a week at a glance calendar. He would like for it to be available for download and for his clients to be able to enter appointment information on specific dates? Any thoughts as to how I can accomplish this.. I have created a print version for this client for 6 years running and he really hopes this can be done easily.
I can work with SC5 and the .folio format and get the document into the iOS world but I'm not sure about adding the feature of imputing text? Any help at all would be very helpful.

Use CalDav and make it tasty on other platforms would be my suggestion. Use google's calendar and you'll have no server and it will be thoroughly cloudy.

If you need imagery and more fancy formatting I don't think there is an easy solution to make it editable and sharable without having some programming done.

  • Major sync help needed

So I had to do a clean operating system install on my computer. I did backup my itunes music folder on a flash drive, but that did not work I guess. So I installed itunes again and want to know how to get everything from my iphone back to my computer??? I need my contacts, music and everything. Please help

If you copied the iTunes folder, where did you place the copy of the iTunes folder after you did a clean install of the operating system?
With iTunes quit, the iTunes folder should be placed in your Music folder, which I believe is located in the Documents folder on a PC.
You also need to re-authorize your computer with your iTunes account with iTunes
Photos on your iPhone that were transferred from your computer should have been included with your computer's backup, and can be restored from the backup.
Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book application on your computer. If you aren't syncing contacts with a supported application and the same for calendar events - these options are not selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences, contacts and calendar events will not be touched on your iPhone, and the same for photos in your iPhone's camera roll. Photos in your iPhone's camera roll are not touched during the iTunes sync process except for being included with your iPhone's backup.

  • Sync help needed

i've seen other similar problems on here but the trail ends and I'm no further
I am unable to sync on my imac.
when I open mobile me in systems prefs the sync button is greyed out.
I've tried signing out of mobile me but cannot. I tried opening isync to reset, but get the message "SyncServices: Can't connect to the sync server: NSInvalidReceivePortException: connection went invalid while waiting for a reply ((null))"
I've restarted, tried the solution via terminal thats is suggested on another thread and still no luck.
I've deleted the mobile me password in keychain but when i signed in again the same problems existed.
    any ideas?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
This is the iSync forum. iSync is only for syncing Contacts and Calendars to non-Apple mobile phones, not for syncing between Macs or to MobileMe.
The MobileMe forums start here: http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=116
    In the meantime, try this:
First, make a backup of your Contacts and Calendars:
In *Address Book*, choose *Export > Address Book Archive...* from the File menu.
In iCal, choose *Back up iCal...* from the File menu.
    Then navigate to:
    ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices/
Make a backup of the Local folder then delete the original Local folder.
Restart the Mac and hopefully the message will be gone.

  • Itunes/Syncing help needed

I have re-installed Itunes after a system crash. Now:
1.) Sync IPOD is greyed out
2.) I have used up all 5 activations for my one PC. I want to know how to reset that to 0 or 1.
3.) After 5 hours I have still not received the Restore Or Reset my User Name or Password email from Apple Support, so something is serious blown. (Yes I have checked all of my Junk/Spam folders and it isn't there either.)
    Any helpers here?
    Thanks

    P.S.
This IPOD Touch is in need of a backup before I restore it to factory settings. Why?
I need to reset parental controls and the 4 digit security pin has been forgotten.
This IPOD has dozens of apps that she has paid for through Itunes. Can the APPS be restored from 'The Cloud', Itunes Store account records, anything?
What about the songs? Are they gone too?
How would I back up the apps, songs etc, without also backing up the inefficient security measures and forgotten pin?
    Thanks

  • Iphone calendar syncing help

I have just purchased a new G3 iphone. It is not syncing my lastest calendar from my macbook pro. There are several old calendars on my iphone from a previous computer. How do I get rid of them and sync my new calendar from my macbook pro? I have a mobileme account.

It will probably work if you sync the new calendar via the usb cable (not mobile me, not working for subscribed calendars). Then you can also select to transfer data from computer to replace all data on the iphone

  • Improper syncing - help needed

When I switched to a new computer, the playlists and music that I had created went to a separate file on the computer.  But the iPod does not sync to that file and I do not know how to transfer those files to the file that does sync with the iPod.  There are two separate files in the iTunes folder on my computer - one has my whole music library, the other has music that happened to be on the iPod before the computer change.  Can anyone help?

Actually, isn't the message that you are getting that the iPad hasn't been backed up for 3 weeks an iCloud message? I've never heard of the message about not having synced for 3 weeks. That doesn't solve the problem, I ask for clarity sake only.
Typically, resetting the iPad as we talked about will clear this message. I'm not sure what else to try if resetting doesn't work and with no access to a computer. I don't know what having acces to a computer and iTunes would do anyway, if the iPad is frozen with this message on the screen.
Are you sure that you waited long enough - until the Apple logo showed up on the screen - before you let go of the buttons? Have you tried it a few times?

  • Post-sync help needed for Macbook

    Hi
I recently bought a Macbook Pro 2Gb and sync'ed it up to my old iBook G4 using the firewire cable. Unfortunately I think I've now realised that I didn't want to move my old applications over as most of them are pretty shoddy and some have been totally removed (including email).
How do I uninstall as such the old applications on my new Macbook and only use the fabulous new applications that come with Leopard? I'd like to keep the firewire'd documents etc. Should I totally uninstall everything and start again or is there a quick fix please?
Many thanks for helping a blonde in distress!
    Em

yes I meant shoddy in the fact that they are unusable or old applications tht have improved versions for leopard. Because of installing old applications i can't even access an outlook type email application at the mo. All I want is to totally revert to the applications that Leopard comes with. I should never have firewire'd my applications from my g4 ibook over to my new macbook.
    Thanks

  • ToDO List doesn't show up on published calendar?HELP NEEDED

I'm new to iCal. I've checked off the correct box to publish Alarms and ToDo List. When I view the published calendar in a Safari window, I can't see the ToDo list anywhere....all I see is the Calendar and "This Month's Events" at the bottom of the page. I want to be able to view the ToDo list via the web, but how?
    Thanks

The .Mac webview of calendars only supports appointments, not tasks. Your tasks are actually published, so if anyone subscribes with iCal, they could see the tasks, but the browser doesn't display them. If you have access to a server to run a custom web calendar app, you could try phpicalendar. This works on the same principle as the .Mac server & parses the iCalendar file for display in a web page. It does support task display.

  • Syncing Help needed!

My father was trying to download music on my ipad2.  He hooked it to his computer and hit restore.  I now have all his info and mine is gone and none of the Apps will open.  The iCloud looks like it is still set to me.  Any advice?

Don't sync with another computer except your own.
Do you sync with iTunes on your computer? Do you have a backup in iTunes. You can check to see if you do. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and you can see all of your backups.
If you have a recent backup - you can restore your iPad from a backup and then sync with iTunes to restore all of your own content.
Turn off auto sync first. Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom that says prevent iPods .... from syncing automatically.
The click OK and quit iTunes.
Now connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes - right click on the iPad name on the left side under devices and select - Restore from Backup. Choose the backup from the popup window and restore. After that completes - sync with iTunes to restore all of your own content to the iPad. iTunes will tell you that it is going to erase the content on the device - but that is what you want anyway - you want your own content back again.
If you do not sync with iTunes and you are using iCloud for backups and content storage - read this.

  • ITunes/iPod sync help needed!

So I have a 2nd gen iPod touch, and I buy all my music straight off of iTunes app.  My old Mac computer (Let's call it Mac1) had all of my songs that I had bought on there prior to when we replaced it (may 2011).  Then, we got Mac2. I can't put my songs that I bought after May 2011 onto Mac2, because it will only let me delete my ENTIRE library on my iPod (which has all of my purchased music on it). I don't want to lose those songs that I spent my money on.  How do I make my iPod sync to a new computer and get the iPod's songs onto the computer?

Just transfer the iTunes purchases to the new computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
You may also be able to redownload the music( and apps) by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
