Calendar syncing help please

I have an iphone and am having trouble syncing my calendar with outlook (via a usb lead).
Outlook is set up for my hotmail account - using Windows Live Hotmail - and the notes and contacts have all synced perfectly but not my calendar?
Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Outlook '07 Calendar Sync fails, please help!

I have an unusual problem with a brand new Blackberry Curve and Desktop Manager 4.3.
Initially, phone and computer (Outlook) synched perfectly. After a week of use, the Outlook Calendar stopped synching. It failed at record 17 with an Application Error. Forcing the user to quit desktop manager and restart it to access anything to do with synching. If I removed Calendar synching from the synch tasks--everything else synched normally.
I thought there must be a bad record on the phone or computer--so I started deleting recent events, synching only events within a range of dates, etc.. Nothing worked. Next step was clearing the database on the phone. Didn't help. Finally called my provider---they couldn't help so they forwarded me to Blackberry support. While talking with Blackberry support I was modifying settings, changing settings back and forth--and suddenly it started synching the calendar again--oddly enough without any kind of special setting.
For a week the phone & computer synched perfectly. Yesterday, the same error returned. Nothing I have done so far has fixed it this time. I've gone back through everything I did previously (I think)--and still, the Outlook 2007 Calendar synch fails at record 17?!?
I'm at a loss. The only clue from the end-user is that just prior to the problem recurring he had updated the Calendar on the Curve--all other Calendar updates were entered in Outlook. But I have cleared the Calendar database on the phone and the problem persists.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

** UPDATE 3 -- FINAL -- PROBLEM FIXED ***
I was able to fix my non-working iTunes Windows Calendar sync by going back to iTunes for Windows v11.1.1.
I used the following steps:
(1) Uninstalled iTunes for Windows (and associated Apple software) using this guide:

(2) Installed iTunes for Windows v11.1.1.11.exe
(Got older version from File Hippo)

(3) Launched iTunes for Windows, then connected iPad via USB port
(4) When iPad was recongized, RESET SYNC HISTORY
-- In iTunes select "Edit", then "Preferences", then select the "Devices" tab
-- click the "Reset Sync History" button
-- click "OK".
(5) Sync the iPad replacing the exiting Calendars on the iPAD
-- click the 'iPad" button at the top-right of iTunes
-- Select the "Info" button at the top
-- Check "Sync Contacts with Outlook", "Sync Calendars with Outlook"
-- Scroll down and in the "Advanced" section click "Replace information on this iPad, Calendars"
-- Click "Sync"

IPod Nano 6th gen won't sync - help please!

I lost my iTunes and all my music when my laptop died, but managed somehow to get it all back onto my new laptop - none of my music is purchased though iTunes but downloaded separately or from CDs. However when I sync my iPod it doesn't actually change anything or add new songs from my iTunes, and playlists on my iPod do not appear in my iTunes. Help please! I've tried manually managing my music and syncing but that doesn't work either, and when I plugging it into my computer it says on the iPod screen that its syncing but it doesn't show that it is in iTunes.

I have many google calendars and all show up in my calender setting (iphone). I've chosen my primary calender with the radio button but in my "notification" screen multiple calendars show up??? how do i fix this?

I had just the opposite problem, that is, entries into Outlook calendar would not go to iCloud. I found the following solution:
Make sure that you are NOT running Outlook as Administrator (right click Outlook->Properties->uncheck "Run as Administrator". For some reason calendar sync (Outlook <-> iCloud) does not work if you run Outlook as administrator.
I don't know if this will fix your problem, but it's worth looking at. Let me know if it helps.

I get this error with iCal "generates a conflict" when synced with my Yahoo calendar. Help Please

I updated to Maverick "Mistake" and have been getting this error since "generates a conflict" with the new iCal and my Yahoo calanders. There werent any problems before the update. Any suggestions as to how to fix it ? Does anyone know how to go back to the last version of iCal ?

Given that the calendars are hosted by Yahoo, I would remove the accounts, then re-add them back.
That shouldn't lose anything, but I don't use Yahoo so I can't say for sure. They use a standard CalDAV server, so all should be ok.

Calendar sync help needed

I am not allowed to use Outlook email at my workplace. It seems that I cannot use only the Outlook calendar to sync my Iphone without making it my primary email client. I need to have a desktop calendar of some sort at my work in order to manage my appointments. We are allowed to use Palm desktop or any web based calendar. I am trying to find a solution with 2 way sync between my Iphone and calendar. Can anyone help? I would deeply appreciate it as this has been a substantial problem for me with my Iphone. Thanks

SYNC HELP please

Yesterday I had to reload windows on my PC. I lost everything. Today my computer is working fine. I have downloaded the latest iTunes, and was ready to sync. When I did, I lost all of the APPS that I had. both purchased and free ones. about 9 pages of Apps. can I undo a sync? or snyc from phone???

Reloading the OS on your computer and then downloading iTunes meant that no information was contained in iTunes on the new computer. Without restoring information from the computer prior to reloading there would be on way to have the information in iTunes prior to syncing. If the information is gone from the iPhone, then it would be difficult to rebuild. The only way to get apps back at this time would be to sign in with your Apple ID, authorize that computer with your iTunes account and then check purchase history. There is an email address that Apple has from the iTunes support page to allow you to email them and describe your problem to see if they can help. Sometimes they will, sometimes not, as it is your responsibility to ensure you have your data backed up.
Good luck.
One other thing would be if you backed up the phone prior to syncing, you could always restore from that backup, however don't let iTunes backup the phone again before doing the restore. You may be able to recover that way.

Sync help please please please

Hi i have bought an classic 80gb 2 weeks ago transferred 1/3 0f my songs
from my creative onto the hard drive as it wouldnt let me do all at once
but when i try to transfer any more music all i get is erase and sync hence
losing any transfer already on the ipod catch22 when i do a diagnostics
check it does not see my ipod but in itunes bryans ipod is there really at
my wits end and am thinking why did i make the move any help would be great

If you want to delete stuff from your computer's hard drive after syncing it to the iPod, you need to set your iPod to manage the iPod content manually.
However, storing music on your iPod and nowhere else is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music would be erased. If you no longer have the music in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that music would be lost.
At the very least back up your music to either cd or dvd before deleting it, particularly any purchased music/videos, as this would have to be bought again if it were lost. See this about backing up media.

App Syncing help please!

I recently had to reinstall iTunes due to an error that prevented the program from opening. Due to my reinstall, all of my data (play count, playlists, etc.) was deleted. I have synced everything back on to my iPhone except my apps. When I check the "Sync Apps" box, iTunes asks me if I want to sync my apps because they will be deleted and replaced with ones from this computer. However, every app on my iPhone is on my computer. When I re-sync, will iTunes wipe my apps' save data? If yes, is there another way to sync my apps, such as restoring to a recently made backup? Thanks for any help in advance!

Backup manually to your computer and restore from that backup after your phone got wiped.
To back up manually, disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. See what's included in a backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

Audio not in sync - help please

This never happened before. I drag my Quicktime movie into the Assets tab and then into the editor. The audio and video are in sync for about the first 5 mins. of the half hour production, and then it goes out of sync. Can't understand it.
I made a new QT mov. and the video and audio tracks are exactly the same length. When I play the movie in the QT player it's fine all the way through. But in DVDSP I have the sync problem. Never did before.
What is going on? Any help appreciated!

When I look at my IPAD contents when it is connected via USB to my PC in the ITines Left Panel THe book shows with 2 greyed out circular small icons. When I look in my IPAD the book shows but it does not play.
I have tried 10 times syncing but the book just does not come on my IPAD and Play. The book is showing on my IPAD MUSIC-> More -> AudioBooks but it does not play

Iphone calendar syncing help

I have just purchased a new G3 iphone. It is not syncing my lastest calendar from my macbook pro. There are several old calendars on my iphone from a previous computer. How do I get rid of them and sync my new calendar from my macbook pro? I have a mobileme account.

It will probably work if you sync the new calendar via the usb cable (not mobile me, not working for subscribed calendars). Then you can also select to transfer data from computer to replace all data on the iphone

Getting aroung sync - help please

I have 2 new nanos, one is mine the other is my sister's.
At first, I could click and drag songs from my library to the ipods. This was great because I could select certain songs I wanted. Well I decided to "sync" my ipod and I hate it! Now whenever I plug in my ipod, all the songs are grey and I can't select them or anything. And I don't want certain songs and it wont let me get around it! Can someone help?
I haven't sync'd my sister's yet and it still lets me drag and copy so I won't be doing it to hers.

Create a new playlist.
Select the iPod in iTunes.
Select the Music tab.
Tick Sync music and Sync selected playlists, then select the playlist(s) you want to sync.
Now just add or delete songs from this playlist and plug in the iPod to update it.
If you really want to manually manage the music on the iPod, select the iPod and on the Summary tab, select Manually manage music.
To me, this kind of defeats the purpose of ease of use of iTunes/iPod.

I got my iphone5 this past November and did not have a computer to sync it to. I now have a computer, how can i sync my iphone to it without having everything deleted?

There is not a way to manually manage the iphone.
If you sync music and movies to the iphone, then remove them off the computer. The next time you sync the iphone with music or video, the previous data will be removed from the iphone.
The best way to conserver space for music or video that you have in itunes is to back it up or bur to disc when you are done with it. That way if you want to listen or watch it again later, you can import it back into the library.

i have a ipod nano 3rd gen. and synced it to my itunes and just got an itouch, but im am really scared that if i connect the itouch to the same itunes all my songs will be erased.
this happened to me before when my sister bought an ipod classic and synced with the same itunes
in conclusion: i was wondering if i connect the itouch to the computer would anything happen? will i still have the regular songs in my ipod and if so, do i sync both together? thanks!!!!! i really need this help

itunes recognises each iPod as an individual. So if you connect one and then connect the other, you should not have a problem. Even if you do, there's a utility that can help get all your music back, provided u have music on 1 of the iPods.
