Calendar template in obiee 11g

Hi All,
Is there any calendar template/add on in obiee 11g?
So in calendar we can set the schedule for sales, etc.
If there is any, how to use it?
Thank you before
Regards

Hi Joe,
There is no out of box functionality. You can try something like this using pivot view,

  • OBIEE 11g Calendar alignment issue

    Facts: OBIEE 11g - 11.1.5 on Windows 2003 server.
There's an alignment issue going on with OBIEE calendar, wich happens only when the month is october. For all other months, the calendar is displayed properly. It does not depend on the year. You may change the year and select October, you'll get the error.
You might see what happens on the link below.
    http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/7876/firefoxds.jpg
This behavior may occur when using IE9 (both using compatibility mode or not), Mozila Firefox and Google Chrome.
I've looked over Metalink and the forums and could not find any information about this error.
    Any tips?!
    Thanks!

  • Can a new calendar created in OBEE 11g ?

We have a specific requirement to schedule reports based on the client's fiscal year. There will be certain reports that follow the fiscal year calendar and the rest follows the default Gregorian calendar. One option is to schedule the reports based on the specific dates in OBIEE 11g by manually selecting the dates on which the report has to be run. But this could be cumbersome as the user has to select the same dates over and over again for each report. Alternatively , is it possible to create a specific calendar template and reuse for different reports ? I have seen a similar functionality in SAP BO wherein a calendar can be created by specifying the dates. User can use this calendar to schedule the reports. Please share some ideas on this.

Create your calendar in the Database as you want it...Lets say you have a requirement to run on 1st, 3rd and 5th, 7th and 18th of the month..Then have a flag in the DB for these dates.
Then create a simple analysis on your calendar table to return a row when the the flag for these dates is true.
Use this Analysis as a condition for your agent to run only when the analysis returns a row. So the agent will run only on those dates that the analysis returns a row..

    hi,
check the writeback xml code, there might be some syntactical errors and column numbers in the insert/update statements. You should check the enable writeback check box for all the columns which you used in the writeback template.

  • Obiee 11g Chart sorting issue

    Hi All,
I am trying to plot a graph in OBIEE 11g answers which shows Calendar Month in X-axis and percentage of marks in Y-axis,
in such a way that Calendar Month in X-axis should be in the order Jan Feb Mar Apr .....(where as now it is Apr Aug Feb ... which is sorted in ascending order) Calender month is a calculated column in the report which has the following calculation
    case when cal_month=1 then 'Jan'
    case when cal_month=2 then 'Feb'
    case when cal_month=12 then 'Dec'
How do i arrange the calendar month in a proper order of Jan Feb Mar .....
    Please advise
    Thanks,
    LonaD

I've already mentioned OOB column to use, I'm not sure about your data. If you dont have it then might go for workaround to get number 1 to 12.
BTW:Existing column 'Col month' as referred is not helping you?
For ex: work around might be something like
    cast(substring("Year",3,2) as int)
    Mark if helps

you can create same in rpd so that you can sort it._
Or else can go with work around using year column as above_

    Hi All:
I am testing the OBIEE 11G write back function. After all the steps , there's an Error message said "Write back Error" . No other detail information. Do you have any idea about where's the problem of it?
My xml file was under the folder of 'C:\OBIEE11\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\msgdb'. and the detail is as below.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

    Hi,
I think these is a problem with your connection pool name, please check it. It's a name of connection pool in BI administrator.
if it's not problem, Can you try my way, replace '@{c1}', '@{c0}' by @1, @2...with 1,2 is a number of column in Criteria.
    It's my template :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

  • Physical Query in OBIEE 10g vs OBIEE 11g

    Hi Everyone,
We're in the middle of an OBIEE 10g to an OBIEE 11.1.1.6.4 upgrade and as part of our assembly testing we were planning on comparing the physical query generated for a report generated in obiee 10g vs the physical query for a report in obiee 11g.
After a couple reports we noticed that the query structure in 11g is completely different than the query structure in 10g. The reports still generated the same data in 10g vs 11g. So my question is:
    1) is it worth while (or necessary) to do a physical query comparison for an obiee 10g to 11g upgrade? or is validating the front-end report data & drill down/interactions adequate?
    2) what are some general reasons why a query generates differently in obiee 10g vs 11g?

Pl post details of OS versions, exact database versions (to 4 digits) and init.ora parameters of the 10g and 11g databases. Have statistics been gathered after the upgrade ?

    Hi Cristian,
You must use '' at script when call some column value. (use '@1' instead of @1)
Tip.. note you can use your "WebMessage Name" (from your script, like "filling", "machine_filing") into your analisys.
    Hope this help

  • Where to change the hyperlink of the logo in OBIEE 11g?

    Hi all,
The title explains the question. Does anyone know the answer for it?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Amith.

In OBIEE 11g the Logo in the upper-left corner does not have an AHREF reference or tag.
The only way to change this is to modify the actually header template XML file for the header.
This should be easy enough to find.

  • Obiee 11g Publisher Bursting Report error

    Hi
I am using Obiee 11g (ver. 11.1.1.3.0) and trying to achieve report bursting. I have created Data model and Report. Report is showing result but once I schedule report by bursting to file,
    1. I am getting error (ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected).
    2. where I can get bursting fail log?
    Its urgent.
Bursting to file SQL Query as below: -
SELECT     DEPT.DNAME as DNAME KEY, 'Standard' TEMPLATE,
    'RTF' TEMPLATE_FORMAT,
    'en-US' LOCALE,
    'PDF' OUTPUT_FORMAT,
    'FILE' DEL_CHANNEL,
    'E:\BIP' PARAMETER1,
    DEPT.DNAME || '.pdf' PARAMETER2
    FROM     SCOTT.DEPT DEPT

Change your query to the following and then try it out; this should take care of the ORA error
    SELECT DEPT.DNAME KEY, 'Standard' TEMPLATE,
    'RTF' TEMPLATE_FORMAT,
    'en-US' LOCALE,
    'PDF' OUTPUT_FORMAT,
    'FILE' DEL_CHANNEL,
    'E:\BIP' PARAMETER1,
    DEPT.DNAME || '.pdf' PARAMETER2
    FROM SCOTT.DEPT DEPT

  • Integration of Oracle BI Publisher with OBIEE 11G

    Hi, all.
I want to know How to Integration of Oracle BI Publisher with OBIEE 11G?
Because I can't create data set using Oracle BI Analysis now, and the analyses and dashboards in BIEE presentation catalog is unvisible. Why?
    Thank you.

I may be missing something, but BI Publisher Enterprise is installed at the same time as when you install BIEE on the server. You wouldn't install BI Publisher Desktop on that server. You can use BI Publisher Desktop locally to create templates for use in BI Publisher Enterprise.
I'm much more familiar with XML (BI) Publisher as part of Oracle Apps moreso than BIEE, so I could be wrong in my assessment.
    Hope that helps,
    Brett

  • I am using the big date calendar template and when I submit it to apple for printing I lose the name of two months. These names are not text boxes. I see the names when I send it in but something happens during the transmission to apple. It was suggested

I am using the big date calendar template in iPhoto. I am on Lion 10.7.2, macbook air. The names of the months are on each calendar page but something happens when I send the data to Apple. The names are part of the template. They are not text boxes. I lose two names on the calendar after it is sent to Apple. Apple suggested I make a pdf file of my calendar before sending it in and check to make sure every name shows. I did this with a calendar I just sent in. The calendar was correct. All names of the months were showing. After sending the data two month names disappeard because when it arrived by mail, it was incorrect. Apple looked at my calendar via a pdf file and it was incorrect.  This is second time this has happened. I called Apple and they had me delete several folders in the Library folder, some preferences and do a complete reinstall of iPhoto.  I have not yet remade the defective calendar. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
    kathy

Control-click on the background of the view all pages window and select "Preview Calendar" from the contextual menu.
You can also save the pdf as a file to compare to the printed calendar.  If the two names are visible in the pdf file then the printed copy should show them.  Contact Apple for a refund.  Apple Print Products - Apple Store (U.S.)

    Hi ,
I normally do this to fix this problem
1>Disable the network , keep the loopback adaptor enabled and then restart the services.
2> You can enable the network after services are restarted.
If you want a more practical solution and dont want to disable network again and again, then you would find the blog below useful.
