Calendar - Time

There appears to be a Time canvas attached to the Calendar popup....how does one use this?

Your item has to be datatype=DATETIME.

  • Calendar time zone on iOS 7

the time zone has disappearead on the calendar after updating to ios 7, how can it be defined? I travel a lot and this feature was very helpful in avoiding errors.

You have to enable Time Zone Support under Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Time Zone Support (in the Calendars section at the bottom).  If you enable the setting while you are in the middle of creating an event, you have to cancel and re-create it.
Now, when you create a new Calendar entry, it will have a Time Zone field under the End time setting.

  • Calendar times off by 1 hour

Updated to new version of iTouch software today.  After process was complete all of my calendar entry times for my corporate email account are off by 1 hour.

Some things you can check to troubleshoot this include:
Go to icloud.com, sign into your iCloud account, click your name at the top and choose Account Settings, click Time Zone and be sure it shows the correct time zone and that you have selected a city near you.  Then open your calendar on icloud.com, click the gear-shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, click the Advanced tab and make sure you have not checked time zone support at the top.
On your iOS devices, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Time Zone Support (in the Calendars section) and make sure this is set to Off.  If you have a Mac, open the Calendar app and to to Mail>Preferences>Advances and uncheck “Turn on time zone support”.

  • Calendar Time Issue

I'm having a problem with viewing appointments in my calendar, and since I live in Saskatchewan we don't change our time, and the rest of the phone, including the main time on the phone are correct.
My issue is the "day view" shows everything an hour ahead, including the red line listing 4:18 PM, it's only 3:18 PM.
Also every appointment is listed an hour ahead, had one this morning at 8 AM and it shows 9 AM in the day view.
Even more confusing is when I click and open that calendar item, it shows the correct start time of 8 AM.
Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
This is very annoying to say the least, especially with all appointments now being one hour ahead in the day view on the calendar...
My time zones settings are correct in the System Settings/Date and Time it is set to Saskatchewan (-6).

By changing my time display to 24 hours, under Settings/Date and Time and then moving the slider to ON for 24-Hour TIME, the calendar time view issues have disappeared.
Unfortunately the text messages are still out by an hour when viewing them individually.  The time is correct on the main page when "conversations" are listed and the most recent text message is displayed, but going into each conversation each text message there displays an hour later than it should.
Hopefully this is something that BlackBerry is working on for the next update to the z10 software.

  • Calendar Time Problem

Hi, When I sync mi iphone 3gs with outlook 2007 calendar, it does, but the time for the event on my iphone shifts by one hour. Example: I create an appointment for today at 3:00PM on outlook, after the sync, it appears at 4:00PM on my Iphone and vice versa: if I create the same appointment on my iphone at 3:00PM, after the sync, it appears at 2:00PM on outlook. I tried everything but nothing worked.
    Please Help

    Hi pwmgen,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities!
Take a look at the article below and make sure the Time Zone Support settings aren't causing the issue that you are seeing on your iPhone.
iOS: How to adjust Time Zone Support for calendars
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4576
When using Calendar on an iOS device, such as an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you may notice that Time Zone Support is on by default. Depending on how you intend to use your iOS device, you may wish to either leave Time Zone Support on or disable it.
Time Zone Support is on by default for calendars on iOS. You can check and adjust this setting in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Calendars > Time Zone Support.
Time Zone Support will allow you to create and view events in a time zone other than the one currently used by your iOS device (other than the one your clock is set to). If you do not use Time Zone Support, your iOS device will default to the current clock setting. iOS devices that are location aware will automatically set their time zone, date, and time using Location Services. You can verify your current date and time settings in Settings > Date & Time.
To disable Time Zone Support for calendars
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Scroll down to Calendars.
    Tap Time Zone Support.
Slide the slider for Time Zone Support to OFF.
To enable Time Zone Support for calendars
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Scroll down to Calendars.
    Tap Time Zone Support.
Slide the slider for Time Zone Support to ON.
    Tap Time Zone.
Enter your current location or the closest city in the same time zone and tap it when it appears in the results list.

  • IPhone 3G Email and Calendar times off by one hour (slow one hour)

My times which I send/receive emails or put appointments on the calendar are 1 hour slow as compared to my computers. I have Mobile Me and Mobile Me (on the computer) and my Outlook emails and calendars match and my current time is correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time is correct but the time a email is sent or received and all appointments on the calendar are both off by one hour (one hour slow on the IPhone 3G).
I have set time automatically in "settings" to on, and under "email contacts and calendar" I have time zones disabled. I have tried each possible combination of these settings but cannot get the email/calendar times to match between my computers and the IPhone 3G regardless of how these are set.
I have numerous computers and all times are correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time (the clock) is correct, but times in emails and calendar appointments are all off (slow) by exactly one hour no matter what I do.
Anybody else have this issue, and/or know what the solution might be?
    Thanks
    The Omega

I have tried that and it did not work. I am now trying it with everything set to enable DST, and see if that works. Everything, so far, seems to be in sync. The phone would be right for a second when you went into the calendar and then change to be an hour off. Strange. I think the settings I have now (all, Windows, MobileMe, and the IPhone 3G set to DSL on, the same) may be working. Only time will tell.
    Thank you.

  • N8 calendar times change when in new time zone

How do you stop the calendar times changing when you enter a new time zone? This is very frustrating, particularly when the calendar contains flight times etc which you have entered in the local time zone of place of departure. Then when you move into that time zone it automatically changes every calendar entry! Annoying! I realise I can deselect automatic time zones, but then I'm guessing when I do change the time zone manually to where I am (so that it shows the time of day, and I can set an alarm to wake me up, etc!!!) then the same thing will happen - all my calendar entries will change. Hope someone has worked it out already.

the times are stored on the phone in absolute time, lets call it gmt. they are then displayed on your handset in local time.
the times aren't actually changing as you change time zones. they are very much staying the same.
to achieve what you re after you are just going to have to enter the times in one of the text fields.
There's no dignity in begging for kudos. Do it for the karma.

  • Calendar time format and week start format

Even though I have the time format set to 12H it displays as if it was 24H in the calendar:
Also, is there any way to change the format of the date picker? We want the week to start on Sunday instead of Monday:

    Hi,
    1. Tested in 8.81 and 8.82 versions that, the time format in general settings does not apply to calendar time format. Changes applicable only to documents
    2. You can change starting of week through calendar form settings. But selection of date still appears from Monday.

  • Does the SNP optimizer takes into account transportation calendars (time streams)?

    Hello,
We're trying to limit the days when a transportation lane can be used by including a transportation calendar(time stream) to the means of transport. The receipt days on certain locations, depend on the source-target location relationship so we don't want to do this through shipping/Receipt calendars at the location Level (/SAPAPO/LOC3).
    Example:
    Source A - Target X     Receipt days ( Monday-Tuesday)
    Source A - Target Y     Receipt days (Friday-Sunday)
    Source B - Target X     Receipt days ( Monday-Wednesday)
    Source B - Target Y     Receipt days (Thursday-Friday-Saturday)
We've tried this in an heuristic scenario, and it works. But when we run the optimizer, it doesn't seems to take into account the transportation calendars; it just creates distribution orders every day depending on the demand at the target location.
Does anyone knows if the optimizer run should consider transportation calendars, or this functionality is only for heuristics and/or CTM?
Is there another recommended way to model it?
    Cesar

    Hello Ada,
As you said, the calendar of the transportation resource overrules the transportation calendar (time stream)
I tested after removing the transportation resourced and it now uses the transportation calendar.
However, if a transportation lane has a lead time greater than 24 hours, we need that the system only ships on a specific day from the location source and receives the goods on the next day at the target location.
    For this example,
    Source A -  Target B;  Lead time (48 hours)
Shipping is allowed on Monday – Receipts should be on Thursday
if we set Monday through Thursday as working days or periods in any of both types of calendars (resource or time stream) at the means of transport, the system will plan shipments every day from Monday to Thursday, instead of only shipping on Mondays.
Do you know if its possible to have the behavior mentioned above (shipments on Mondays, receipts on Thursdays)?
    Best regards

  • Can anyone help me determine why iCloud changes the calendar time of appointments.

Here's my situation: i use an iphone registered/acquired in spain. the phone is unlocked and now carries a t-mobile card, as i am currently in nyc, but all my calendar appointments have a 6 hour time difference from those entered on my mac and vice versa. there are several threads about this issue, all of which point to the various hardware and software settings (time zone support on or off on the iphone as well as on the app on mac and phone). another user mentioned the setting provided for in the icloud calendar function itself, where the proper time zone can be modified. all to no avail, i stil get my 6 hour time difference.
    anyone please?
    thanksamillion!

Thank you fromsouth, for your interest, but it didn't help.
I have 3 scenarios: Entering an appointment on the mac's calendar, on the phone's, and on iCloud's calendar. If I enter an appointment on the mac, it shows up correctly on iCloud, but is off by 6 hours on my phone's app. If I enter it on the phone's app, it will be off on iCloud and therefore off too on the mac. I've deleted the app (I use WeekCal, but see the same discrepancies on the iCal app) and reset it all new, but the problem prevails. Unlike my earlier assumption that the problem lies with iCloud, I now believe it is in the phone, although wouldn't know where. I see that the iCal app on OS has the ability to adjust for the time zone. When entering the event on the phone, it gets syncronized on the Mac at the phone's time zone, which for some reason appears to be set at my original Spanish setting (GMT+1), even after I reset the time zone to NY. I can manually adjust the calendar time zone setting on my Mac to EST to correct the time for the appointment.
    Quite frustrating!

  • Google Calendar/iPhone Calendar Time Missmatch

So I've synced my google calendar with my iPhone and all the events are listed 2 hours earlier on the iPhone calendar. I've tried deleting the account and re syncing using the goole set up and CalDAV pathways.
Syncing the same goole calendar to my MacBook has no problems.
But, I have the same problem syncing my google calendar to my iPad.
Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem.

    Check Settings>General>Time and Date
    and
    Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Time Zone Support.
Turn "Time Zone Support" to OFF or ensure the Time Zone is correct.
Props to John Chavez for the answer.

  • Calendar time got shifted during travel

I live in LA and I travel to Chicago and NY for business, that's three different time zones involved. I was using Exchange Active Sync before, the time zone support on the iPhone was turned OFF. When I entered an event for 9:00 AM, it showed 9:00 AM no matter which city / which time zone I was in.
However, recevently I turned off Exchange and switched to MobileMe, then a nightmare started.
Appreantly it adjusted time for me automatically according to the difference between the time zone where I entered in and where I was viewing it. When I was in NY, I enter 9:00AM for an appointment which will happen in Chicago, when I arrived Chicago, it shifted to 8:00 AM.
I do not appreciate this auto shift because it affects a lot of my event including flights! Ii did not find a way to fix it, any suggestion would be appreciated!

I have the same problem. You can change the time-zone support on and off from settings -> Mail, Contacts and Calendar. But that doesn't really help a lot. At least didn't help me. I have no idea who would find this calendar that chances the times automatically usefull. I would call it a nightmare!
I travel a lot around the globe in many different timezones, and therefore I can't use the calendar times no more. If I need to put my flight-scedule to my calendar I must write the times somewhere else. For instance with connecting flights, three different timezones during one trip it's impossible to write down the scedule to iPhone. It's a huge problem for me. I usually make the schedule of trips when in another time-zone but when I finally come to the location, the times have changed.
I want a calendar that doesn't chance any times automatically. I really need a calendar I can trust! If I write that my flight is leaving at 9pm, I want it to be like that in my calendar even if I wasn't in the same time zone yet.
Please apple, take this time-zone madness away!

  • Iphone 4s exchange calendar time zones

I have a user with an iphone 4s and the time zones are not matching up when entering calendar events into Outlook (synching via Exchange on the iphone). all events entered into the outlook calendar are set to eastern time zones and we are in st. louis (central time zone). However, our server is hosted in the eastern time zone. Now, our hosting provider has set the time zone of our server to the central time zone so that should take care of the server side. what other things can we check to determine why the wrong time zone is being set?

    FOR CORRECT TIME ON CALENDAR:
Set both the time and your time zone on the Calendar Add Event page.
Set your time zone in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Time Zone Support.
Set your time zone in Settings>General>Date and Time.

  • E70 calendar & time zones

    Here's a scenario:
    - I'm working at my office in Helsinki
    - I've got a meeting in, say, San Francisco on 10.12. at 14:00
    - I enter the meeting on the calendar 10.12. 14:00
    - I travel to US
    - I change the clock time zone to San Francisco (10 hours behind
    Helsinki)
    - The calendar says that the entries have been updated
    - My meeting is now 10.12. 4:00 AM
How do I turn off the completely catastrophic calendar time updates? This renders the handy time zone support completely useless.
Please don't even try to say that I should have scheduled the meeting at 11.12. 0:00 in the first place.
    Thanks,
    harri

I have the same problem with my E63.
I tried finding a practical way. I tried being raving mad about this... and it did not help.
The only way I found say for plane schedule is. for example.
put dep lon at LON time and put in text something like dep LON at 12:00
change you phone time to say Cairo. Put the time of arrival in the appointment time but put in the text as well (ex: arrival Cairo 15:50 12/4/11) (same for you departure )
switch the phone to next destination time. say HKG, put you appointment at the local time but put the time also in the text. (ex: arrival HKG 03:30 pm.....//. meeting with HQ HKG at 11:30 am.)
Then switch you phone back to London time.
The only alternative is the same but with correcting the appointment time mentally to translate it in LON time before entering, but still mentionning the actual local time in the text for permanent reference.
Thsi is a very time consuming process, prone to making errors. But it is the only way I could find around this absurdity.
Ta least the alarms will be ringing at the right time, and the references will be in the text and not subject to changes by the phone, and you can keep automatic time change.
