Calendar weather units always revert to celsius

I switched the calendar app's weather units to fahrenheit, but it always changes back to celsius. I've tried clearing app data and re-setting the units, but after a while (or immediately after swiping the app out of the task manager), it goes right back to using celsius.
How do I make the app stick to using fahrenheit?
App version is 15.0.A.1.14

Outlook Calendar Weather - can Location and Celcius settings be changed in the registry?

Hi, I can see in the Calendar how to change my location (default New York, USA) for Outlook Calendar Weather. and I can see in File, Options how to change the temperature (default US Farenheit).
But is there some way to change this for multiple users? e.g. in a Windows domain? Not sure if registry hacks will work either as it appears these settings are stored for each user on Exchange servers? e.g. if you change these settings for a user,
they then appear on their profiles on other computers.

Colour Always Reverts to Black & White

Hi Guys!
Firstly, I should point out that I'm a Photoshop Elements newbie.
I'm trying to create some colour stencils using Photoshop Elements 10.
When I select "threshold" on adjustment layer, the foreground colour always reverts to black and white, sometimes grey. After that, even if I select any other colour, I am unable to fill with anything other than black or white - and I get some weird rainbow-like effect. The program simply won't let me fill with colour.
This wasn't happening until today!
Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to stop it?!
I've had a look on a few forums - the general answer is that "greyscale" is selected in mode. It isn't, RGB Colour is selected.

The whole point of threshold is that it discards all color infomation and mkes every pixel either pure white or pure black. Don't use it if you want to do color, or add a hue/saturation adjustmet layer after using it with the colorize checkbox turned on.

Mailboxes (accounts) in inbox won't stay sorted; always revert back.

Neither my iMac or MacBook Pro will retain the order of the mail accounts. I have about a dozen different mail accounts, and I can drag them to the order I want just fine, but later they are back to the original (non alphabetized) order. They won't stay in the order I place them. I am not talking about messages, but the accounts themselves:
MAILBOXES
+-Inbox
+---mac mail account
+---otheraccount
+---gmail account
+---server account
I can move "gmail account" to top, but it won't stay. It always reverts.
Any thoughts?

It seems that you likely have a corrupt mail preference.
Sometimes simply rewriting it can fix it.
Quit Mail.
In Finder Go>Home>Library>Preferences and hold down on the option key while dragging the com.apple.mail.plist to the desktop. This will make a copy of the settings.
Now drag the original preference list to the Trash and move the copy back in its place in the Preferences folder.
Restart Mail.
As to Signatures the Mail folder in the home Library holds that info.
Remove the files from the folder and start over with the Signatures.
If either of these issues persist then create a new user account on the computer and set up the settings in the new user account to see if the issue is across the system or user specific.
If it is system wide then it is either the Mail application or the system itself creating the issue.
If it is user specific then continue to completely set up Mail as you want in the new user and move the settings from the test user into the Shared folder.
Then log into the affected user and pull those setting from Shared into the user and put them in place in the Library.
Make sure Mail is not running when you put them in place.

In System Preferences, and CDs &DVDs, I've set the drop-down menu for audio CDs to open iTunes. can anyone tell me why it always reverts to Ignore?

Can anyone help me figure out why the setting in System Preferences and CDs & DVDs will always revert to Ignore when I set the drop-down menu to When you insert a music CD, to Open ITunes? I've tried iTunes Help and it told me exactly what I have been doing. I've even tried downloading iTunes again, to no avail. If anyone has had the same problem, please let me know. I would very much appreciate it.

Web Browser, Mail and Chat Preferences always revert to default on restart

I have set my prefs to Adium for chat, Firefox for web and Thunderbird for Mail - however - each time I restart my machine - they always revert to iChat, Safari and Mail.
I've deleted the relevant pref files but it still happens.
I'm also using filevault if this makes a difference.
Any clues?

Issues with Mail will get more eyes on the problem there than in the current forum, which tends to be more about hardware issues.
When you get there, searching for Mail issues is easily done by using the "Refine this List..." button in the upper part of the page. Click it and a number of sub-categories appear, one being "Mail & Address Book."
If you don't find a solution in existing posts. then ask you question, being sure that "Mail" appears prominently in the title, just like you did here.

Why do my brush settings always revert?

When I change my paintbrush settings, such as size, brush, colour, et cetera, they always revert back to the previous settings as soon as I make a stroke. This makes it impossible to use illustrator. It seems to happen as soon as I change the brush to anything except for the default one.

I think you are expecting Photoshop-like brush behavior, which you should not do.
An Illustrator brush is simply something applied to a path. That's all. The size of the path's stroke, it's color, and other attributes are all part of the stroke, not the brush. The brush is merely the artwork applied.
What it sounds like you want to do is create the brush with the stroke weight and color you want.
Draw a path with the brush.
Drag that path to the Graphic Styles Panel.
Then whenever you wish to go back to those same settings, click the Graphic Style, then draw.

Never remember history not working after upgrade to 4, it always reverts to use custom settings

Hi, I use private browsing mode and when I try to adjust the settings to never remember history, whenever I look it always reverts to use custom settings. Sometimes when I close firefox and then reopen the old cookies are still there.

The OP reported their line-in input "broke" after upgrading to Leopard, however my MBP stopped recognising input from the mic on my headset a few weeks ago when I was still running Tiger. Mandatory profile: default printer always reverts to last installed printer

The only constant is: the last installed printer stays as the default printer (user can install it). How is that tracked by the system? I cannot find it anywhere.
example printer A, then B is installed. Printer B always reverts to being the default on reboot.
a. not using gpp/gpo to set printers (several thousand pcs, about 800 printers, difference preferences in each department etc)
b. from what I have read, it is normal for the mandatory profile to revert back on reboot/logoff any changes to the default printer made by the user.
c. I have tried changing registry keys for .default, the current user, which the current user (mandatory profile autologin) does not pull from .default or anywhere else I can seed.
d. the mandatory profile itself is clean the common registry keys are empty (changing these keys to your desired printer does not resolve the issue, they revert on reboot to last installed printer)

Please allow me to clear the current situation:
1. We are using mandatory profile, and the default printer is not configured into the profile settings;
2. Every time when installing a new printer, it will change to the default one;
3. Using command line to set the default printer won't work here;
If anything misunderstood, please feel free to let me know.
So how do we install the new printer here? Any settings that we may choose to set the newly installed as the default?

Here in North Texas when the "on the 8s" starts on 619, they just show a map of the country and then go around and show the general weather conditions in each of the areas of the country. But we do get the local weather on 49 continuously (although for a while some weeks back they had the national feed on 49 also).

IMessage always revert picture change

I have been changing my picture on iMessage on my mac pro (late 2013), but for some reason, iMessage always revert it back to the previous image if I restart the laptop or the just send it to sleep.
Does anyone have the same issue? This does not seem to be the case on my mac mini

More Info on the process.
When you set up a Mac User Account either at the Computer set up stage for the Admin account or Later in System Preferences > Users and Groups, you are asked to choose a pic (from the Apple Defaults)
The List in longer and scrollable. It can also vary slightly depending on the Mac OS you are using.
When you then set up the Address Card that becomes the My Card in the Contacts App the same pic is then drag through as first choice.
In iChat (and now Messages in any Buddy list account) this becomes the first choice default.
The Linked selection tends to be the ones in those same places.
If you have changed them you will have multiple pics (At least three).
Recents also tends to show the ones in Use or have been in use in any of those places (up to the last 16 choices)
However, as detailed above you can change any of then Individually or have them the same by changing one.
Here I have my Bonjour List in front of my System Preferences > Users and Groups > Account and the Contacts > My Card entry
Users and Groups has a black and white side on shot, the Contacts app has coloured face on shot and the Buddy list has the pic I use here.
