Calendar weirdness on iPad air and desktop mavericks
Hello
This morning when I checked my new ipad air, the calendar app just flashed and didn't open. I restored from last night's backup and no change. Decided to check my calendar on my desktop (running mavs) and found, oddly, that two weeks worth of weather data showed up starting yesterday. Same color as my "home" calendar. Looked at all the prefs I could find on both ipad and macpro without success. Ideas??

Not if they are synced iCloud calendars, but otherwise there could be.

Help! I am a newbie at this. Have an Iphone 4s has been working fine. I use my calendar for appts. and I have assigned ringtones for certain contacts. Today for no reason that I know of the calendar is empty and the special ringtones are gone. I just received an ipad air and have beenplaying with it. That is the only different variable. I dont know what I did to make the calendar erase as well as the ringtones.
Thank you for any help!You will have to do more than simply changing settings in your moms account. To set up everything in your own account, go to Settings > iCloud > scroll down and press sign out. From this, check out this link for how to setup iCloud on all of your devices after making a new icloud account on your phone: https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Before you set that up, you will have to make a new iCould account which you can simply do after you sign out of your mom's account on your devices.

I have an Desk Tp HP. On necked wireless to a Lexmark Printer Pro P 205 . Several months ago I also got an IPad Air and would like to print from my Ipad . Must I buy an Air Print printer or is there a way I can use my Lexmark
You may be able to install an AirPrint sharing application on your PC to enable printing.
Google for "AirPrint for Windows" and you should get several hits.
Alternatively you may be able to use Lexmarks Printing App if it supports your printer model.

My wife bought an iPad Air and synced contact from our PC (Outlook), now all our contacts in Outlook have gone and we have to go to iCloud to get them, and even then they are a bit jumbled. How do I get my data back onto my PC?
If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there. If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864. -
IPad air and LTE in Germany with O2
When can you expect that with the Ipad air and the Mini retina can be used also LTE by O2 in Germany
The frequency bands of the Ipdas are identical to those of the IPhone 5S - why is the function at O2 still not teleased?
Sice already the TouchID when the IPad was saved and do not exist, the lack of LTE keep coverage now but certainly me from a purchase.
Do you hav Information about LTE with O2 on Ipad Air and IPad mini Retina? O2 certainly has none.This will probably come in handy for you.

Your questions are sort of all over the place and it makes it difficult to offer help when you splatter a whole bunch of stuff against the wall at once.
Mail accounts will sync to the iPad from iTunes if they are selected to sync. You can add the email account to the iPad in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendar>Add account. If you restore the iPad from a backup of another iPad, that should restore the email accounts to the new iPad.
Your backups will always be separate because iTunes reads the serial number on the iPad so if you had 10 iPads and gave them all the same name, iTunes would still see each one as it's own device.
You also threw the iPhone into the mix now. Why don't you start over and explain what you did to set up the new iPad Air. Or just start over and clarify all of the information a bit. -
I am trying to send SMS text via iPad Air and cannot. I have gone into my iPhone and "forward message to iPad". However I am prompted to enter "code shown on iPad"... What code and where do I find that on iPad??
The home screen is the screen that shows all of your app icons. You can have one home screen or up to 11 home screens depending on how many apps you have. The home screen on an iPad is the equivalent of the desktop screen on a computer. If you are using an app, just tap the home button once to return to a home screen.

Is there a way to create a password protected folder for pictures or lock the photos app? I want to do this for Ipad air and Iphone 5s. I have other family members that use my Ipad and Iphone and do not want some pictures to be able to be viewed.

Tap to Download icon flashes but does nothing.I just hooked this thing up to my computer and was able to load new apps and update via the app store that way, installing them onto the iPad via sync. Very annoying though as I cannot make in app purchases etc still.

I just got a new iPad air and also own an iPhone 5. I'm receiving most of my text messages on the iPhone, but some are now also showing up on my iPad. I don't want them on my iPad, any suggestions on how to get them to stop showing up n my iPad?
Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.

This has nothing to do with iPhoto. When I have this type of problem I call tech support for my email service. They probably are the only source of the correct settings

You can copy them via your computer's iTunes - you can't connect an iPad to iPod for direct transfer, though if you iOS 5 set up on both devices and iCloud enabled you might be able to re-download some of your iTunes purchased music on the other device.

I just ordered an ipad air and I have an ipad 2. Can someone help me so I can use both ipads from the same computer. The new one is for my husband and I am going to take the ipad 2. To avoid having to pay again for apps you have already purchased, use the same Apple ID (likely the current one) on both devices. You can adjust this in:
Settings > iTunes & App Store.
So that you can communicate with each other, use separate Apple IDs for iCloud, Messages, and FaceTime. Adjust those in:
Settings > iCloud
Settings > Messages
Settings > FaceTime -
Just got an ipad air and why creating my apple ID with credit card, a CODE was requested in the itunes gift card/ itunes gift in order to preceed with the form but I don't have the code. Please how can I find the code so as to enable me complete the form successfully. Thanks alot
The iTunes gift card field is optional, you don't have to fill it in - leave it blank if you don't have a gift card.
iTunes gift cards are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), and they are not available in all countries - so you might not be able to dill it anyway. -
