Calendar won't update

Help!
The calendar on my iPod won't update when I connect my iPod photo 40 gig to my powerbook G4.

Do you have your calendar Syncing enabled?
Navigate to: iTunes>Preferences>iPod>Calendars>place a check in front of "Synchronize iCal Calendars and select either Synchronize all calendars or synchronize selected calendars only.
Hope this helps!

  • Suddenly my calendar won't update?

So I updated my passwords on a Gmail, Facebook and Yahoo.  Now my Gmail calendar won't sync, but my email works fine.  What am I missing?

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • ONLINE CALENDAR WON'T UPDATE

    G5iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.6)
I have been trying to make changes to an online calendar on my club 's website but it refuses to change. My desktop iCal calendar looks right but the one online is incorrect.
I have tried over and over the usual drill: exporting this calendar to user>library>calendar folder and then uploading the .ics file to ../calendar/calendars folder on my club's website.
Each time the changes don't show up.
(I tried quitting and restarting iCal and my computer too as well as trashing prefs)
So I downloaded the .ics file from the site, opened it into iCal, updated it, deleted the old calendar, exported the new calendar and uploaded the new .ics file.
It still shows as NOT UPDATED! Which made me think that my computer is not exporting the updated info.
So, THEN, I uploaded an updated .ics file from my laptop and THE SAME THING - no update online.
It is like the site is operating on a cached version which won't show an update. OR, since my iCal is synched on both my computers - perhaps I need to trash cached files on them both?
Any idea how to fix this? The club relies on accurate updates to the schedule!
    Thanks!

Click "reload" in your browser when you are at the
calendar page. Chances are your browser is just
    going by its cache.
Thanks for trying but I am way past clicking reload! I have emptied all the caches on both machines. Either both of my machines are screwed up or iCal is!

  • Hotmail calendar won't update on Iphone 6

My calendars on my hotmail won't completely sync with my iphone.  If i add an event online or a different device it doesn't always show on my phone.  It does show up on my calendar in hotmail though.

    Hi, Islalewis.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that your iPhone 6 will not connect to your Bluetooth speaker.  Try going through the article below as it may help with this scenario.

  • ICal won't update published calendar

I have a published calendar on .Mac and when I update in iCal, it won't update on my .Mac account. Also it shows that the published date is Dec 31, 1969. I have checked my date and time on system preferences. I have deleted and recreated this calendar, and it has not solved the problem. I have even unpublished and published several times, all to no avail. I have iCal 2.0.2 installed. Anyonw else come across this problem?
    Thanks.

When you publish, is "Publish changes automatically" checked? This would explain why updates don't happen. Also in .Mac system preferences under the "Sync" tab, there is a choice of how often to sync. Even if this is set to "Automatically" the sync isn't instant. Check this setting. I don't know if it affects published calendars or not, but worth checking nonetheless.
I wonder if in the Date and Time system preference ("Date & Time" tab) you have "Set date & time automatically" Checked?
Mine publish fine, no problem: http://ical.mac.com/dancingbrook/Social
Still no solution for web To Dos though perhaps via a webDAV server? Try:
    http://www.icalx.com/
Also, can I assume you've tried trashing your ical preferences? ~/Library/Preerences/com.apple.iCal.plist

  • My iphone just was updated yesterday and now my calendars won't synch, how can I get this to work again?

I just updated my iphone4g and now when synching my calendars will not update. How can I fix this?

System restore can do that, I recommend to avoid using system restore, it can create problems as well as solve them.
Try deleting the Firefox installation directory and then re-installing Firefox 3.6
For 32 bit Windows the default location of the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory installation directory] is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
You can get Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

  • Calendar won't send email reminders since updating to Mavericks?

Since upgrading to OS Mavericks Calendar won't send email reminders.
I have been able to set them.  But they don't actually send.
I have visited multiple sites and discussions and attempted the suggestions posted there but nothing seems to help.  I have even contact Apple feedback, and still haven't heard back from anyone.
Just to clarify, i have attempted the following fixes:
    - Adjusted email settings to ensure iCloud ermail account is properly set up
    - Adjusted reminder settings in calendar to ensure the reminders should send
    - ensured that "My Card" is properly set up in Contacts
I can't seem to find anything else to help?  Anyone have any ideas?

I am haivng the same issue too.
According to some other posts, I deleted and readded the "Me" record in the address book. When creating a new calender entry I set it to send email. When the notification pops up it's just a normal alert and no email.
    Any ideas?

  • Another "my contacts & calendars won't sync" guy

My iPhone was bogged down and doing some strange things so I decided I'd reset it in an attempt to refresh things. After resetting it, my contacts and calendars will not sync over the air with Mobile Me. (Mail and bookmarks are fine)
I can switch them off in Mobile Me on the phone and they'll sync fine over the cable, but of course they won't update until the next cable sync.
I've tried deleting the Mobile Me account from the phone and building it again but this did not fix anything.
I've scoured many posts in this forum and found several people suffering a similar type of problem but no one has the definitive fix.
    Any more ideas?

Since you've already performed the most drastic step in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1672
    10. Delete the account from your iPhone or iPod touch. From the home screen, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars, and then tap your MobileMe account. Tap Delete Account. On the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars screen, tap Add Account > MobileMe, and set up your account again.

  • Up-to-date contacts on iPhone and MobileMe won't won't update the Mac

    Hi,
I just got an iPhone GS and there's a glitch that's driving me mad. (I had an iPod Touch before this so it's not all new.)
First of all I had duplicate Calendars and Contacts ("On my Mac" and MobileMe) so deleted those on my mac by following the instructions here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1922950 which just left MobileMe.
After a bit of fiddling and resetting the Calendars now work so that when I update the iPhone it appears on the Mac, and vice versa.
However, this is not the case with Contacts, and since repeating the process (resetting the Mac, deleting on iPhone and starting again) now if I make changes to contacts on the iPhone they do update MobileMe, but MobileMe does not update the Mac. When I update MobileMe on the website it won't update the Mac either.
I've done everything I can think of/have read about and would really love to get this working as it should.
    Many thanks,
    D

    Yet more information:
I went ahead and clicked "Replace" and then got the following error message:
"You are attempting to reset Contacts on MobileMe from this computer.
Contacts have recently been reset on Mobileme. Are you sure you want to reset the Contacts on MobileMe?"
But nothing changed (didn't even lose the up-to-date contact changes on the iPhone) but then I get the error messages again and again and again...
    Please help!
    Thanks,
    D

  • My calendar won't allow me to rename calanders nor will it recognize my group calendars anymore

My calendar won't allow me to rename a newly created calendar, whether it is a group calendar or not. I've tried restarting and it will not allow me to make a new group calander.

Well, after considerable time, I have figured things out and iCloud does in fact work with my Outlook 2007. I think most problems stem from the fact that iCloud doesn't work well if you also have a Mobileme account and that it works differently than traditional syncing when tethered with iTunes.
After setting up iCloud using the Control Panel icon, open Outlook and go to Calendars.  You should see the “Calendar in iCloud” as one of you choices in the left panel.  Select the iCloud Calendar as your default Calendar by moving it up to the top and point to it for your address book.  It dosen't matter if your standard Calendar in Outlook is blank, because you are now using the iCloud calendar exclusively.  If you turn off iCloud in the control panel by signing out, iCloud will re-populate your standard Calendar in Outlook and you will no longer see the "Calendar in iCloud.  On your iOS devices, turn on iCloud and select only the iCloud calendar to view.  The iCloud Calendar will update when you make changes and Outlook and all you devices will see those changes because they are all looking at iCloud Calendar.  Your standard device Calendar or the default Calendar in Outlook do not sync with iCloud.  Contacts in Outlook will include “contacts in iCloud” on the left panel and works the same as Calendars.  When you are done out can see Calendar events and Contacts sync instantly on all you devices and in Outlook... very cool.
You can easily remove duplicates in the iCloud Calendar or Contacts in Outlook.   See instructions here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299349   Apple’s new iCloud software works, but they could have done a better job in anticipating these type of problems and removing them or at least explaining how to deal with them.
    I hope this helps!

  • IPhoto Library won't update

I have an old iPhoto library from iPhoto 9 that won't update to iPhoto 11 and won't open. How do I fix this or can I retrieve the photos from the old library without opening it in iPhoto?

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Changed id, won't update on icloud.

I changed my apple id, but it won't change on icloud on my ipod touch.  I can log into icloud on the computer w/ the new id, but the ipod has the old id on icloud and won't allow me to change it.  W/o it I can't get my calendar to sync w/ my son's baseball schedule which I synced to my gmail calendar on the computer, but it won't update to the ipod.

I sync'd my son's baseball schedule from highschoolsports.net into my gmail calendar.  I can see it on my computer gmail calendar, but it won't sync with my ipod calendar.  If I manually type something onto my computer calendar, it immediately shows up on my ipod.
Also I downloaded the app "USA Holidays" today, and even though it says it added the holidays to my calendar, they are not there.

Since updating my Mac to Mountain Lion, the Calendar won't sync to iCloud. My iPhone and iPad calendars are syncing fine with the same account. The error message is "The server responded with an error. Calendar couldn't connect to p01-caldav.icloud.com."

  • ICal won't update

All of a sudden iCal won't update my previously-published calendars -- which are hosted in my .mac account. I changed nothing; the problem started yesterday, before I had installed the recent updates and patches to QuickTime and the OS. Also, my iDisk is suddenly inaccessible. Is this a server-side problem of some sort?
I have already repaired permissions, restarted, and done all of the usual stuff.

Well, now everything seems to be working, so I suppose it was some kind of server-side issue.
