Calendars Screwed Up!

I updated my nano to 1.1.1 with the volume limiter. I just started synching iCal calendars, and they are all screwed up. I have recurring events every day and some of them are an hour behind, and some are two hours behind.
I tried unchecking and rechecking the sync calendars checkbox, and then all the events for the month were on the same day!
I used the ipod updater to restore my ipod to the original settings, and now my calendars are back to being an hour or two off schedule. Is this a problem with the new iPod update?

Hi!
I´ve got a similar problem. After syncing my nano and my older mini I noticed, that my nano has added a recurring event following another event of the same type. My mini and iCal are 100% identical, but my nano has the added recurring event on a following day with a new defined time.
Somewhat odd, he?

  • TS3999 Calendar screwed up! HELP!

My iPad calendar language suddenly changed to some unknown language! Eg month of May became Myer Me. I have have gone thru all my settings and cannot find a spot to restore the original calendar! What do I do?

When you say restore with itunes what do you mean? I can find no place to "restore" Calendar or anything else.
I did the 2.1 update and it seemed to help a little. If I tap and wait (15 to 20 seconds) then it makes a move. Same if I close calendar - wait wait wait and then it closes. If I touch anything else it locks up - or perhaps piles up I'm not sure. Just seems very sticky now.
    Any ideas?
Thanks again for continuing this thread.

  • E72 cannot install on sd after encrypt/decrypt act...

    Hi,
after encrypting my strorage card I switched mind, because of decreasing performance. Decryption worked fine, accept for the fact that the name of the SD card. This was stil unreadable, but I could change it. So far so good, but now two things don't work anymore:
    - first, when downloading an application I cannot not install it on the SD card, it simply says "Cannot install"
    - second, when I want to change a profile eg. select different sound, an "opening..."  screen opens, but nothing further
Is there a way to fully recover the SD card to it's original settings, the way Nokia provided it?
I only own this phone a week, not so happy at this moment (Outlook calendar screwed)
    Thanks for help!
    regards,
    Tom

I did 3 encryption/decryption cycles on my E72 (with a 16 GB microSD) and have not had such problems installing apps or changing profiles. Something went wrong.
If you have access to the card you might consider copying the data to a PC, reformat it (eventually hard reset the E72) and then copy it back (making sure you backed up contacts and calendar).

  • 3G and Outlook XP

After having my Outlook calendar screwed up yesterday I followed the Apple troubleshooting and reset my sync history in Itunes. I also deleted all the old items in the history. When I synced again everything worked and I had no Outlook sync client errors and all my calendar entries, mostly recurring appointments, copied correctly. The only additional step I took was deleting the backup and older sync dates in Itunes sync history.

iTunes has nothing to do with the importing of photos from the Camera Roll. Those are imported from the iPhone to the computer with Windows Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can also access it with Windows Explorer, select the phone in the list of removable drives or cameras and that will do it.
If Windows is not recognizing the iPhone connected to it, then you need to look at this support document. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
Follow instructions there to see if you can get Windows to recognize the phone is connected. The last step is to completely remove iTunes and reinstall it. To remove it in Windows, follow the instructions in this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925

  • Calendar events are all screwed after reset

I recently had to reset my IPad through settings. After doing this, all of my the events I entered into the calander app. are now scheduled one day ahead of where they were originally and the times set for these events are all over the place. I don't really want to re-enter the events again. The reset seems to have screwed these up somehow. This was the first time I did a complete reset. In the past, I have only done a network reset, without it affecting the calander dates.

What do you mean by reset - pressing the home and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so, or restoring the iPad with iTunes from the iPad's backup?
Are you syncing calendar events with Outlook 2003 or 2007 on your computer?
Do you have Time Zone support enabled on your iPad and if so and this is needed, do you have a city selected that is in your Time Zone?

  • The "week" display for Calendar is screwed up.  The whole week of days will not display.

The "week" display for Calendar is screwed up.  The whole week of days will not display.

Sounds like a different problem but:
Since these threads aren't merged, I'm posting the same in several threads.
I've had the screen blank problem, the sound and copmputer were still on. I took the IMac in twice, got home, still not fixed.
But they used their own keyboard in the shop and couldn't reproduce the problem. I switched keyboards and so far so good. It's been 3 days now.
I'll keep folks updated. Don't get a new graphics card before you try a new keyboard.
Be sure to take the batteries out of your keyboard when testing another one as the board does not turn off if it is like mine.

  • TS1702 For some reason, the last time I plugged my phone into iTunes, my Calendar was completely erased! This is bad news, considering that I make a living planning events. I AM SCREWED IF I CANNOT FIX THIS ERROR!!!! Please help.

Tried to restore, Time Machine isn't setup because I don't have a backup disk big enough. I never thought I would say this:
    I WANT MY BLACKBERRY BACK!!!!
I never had issues with the calendar on my crappy Blackberry Storm. What the crap, Apple?!?!

Have you fixed this problem yet?  At the risk of being harshly snapped at like poor ED3K, I will let you know a recent experience of mine.  I consider myself fairly tech saavy and I have had experience with iPhones since the original.  I too recently noticed that all my calendar data was recently "erased."  I had a hard time figuring out what happened...until my wife, who is NOT tech saavy told me about the Settings in iPhone with iCloud.  First check your iCloud account (icloud.com/calendar) and make sure that your calendar data is all there.  If so, continue with next step.  Make sure that on your iPhone 4s in Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/Calendars, the Sync is set to All Events or however time you would like synced to your iPhone from your iCloud account.  This should restore your calendar events.  I hope this helps.  Remember, sometimes help comes from the most unexpected places.  And if this doesnt help you, at least be gracious.  No one is patronizing you.  Good luck.

  • 10.7.2 screwed up wiki calendar access

We have a calendar for our school that we use the wikis to publish.  The permission settings are that the owner and another have read/write authority and then "all guests" and "all logged in users" have READ ONLY authority.  This has worked fine up until the application of the 10.7.2 update. Now when any "guests" go to view the calendar, they are presented with a browser login (drop menu on Safari) that asks for authentication.  If you hit cancel, the calenar will just stay gray with the "Getting events from Server" message and the spinning circle.  (see picture below).
This is on a clean install of 10.7 (no migrations) and again worked fine until the update that came out 10.7.2.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello newtron45!
I have the exact same effect with two servers upgraded inplace from Snow Leopard Server to Lion Server.
Calendars for single users work with iCal clients, but they have no access to the calendar via web. They can not even switch it on within thier settings, they can only switch on/off blog.
When I try to open the calendar of a group wiki I see the exact same effect as above.
I am not able to subcribe to the wiki-group-calendars when I use the URL
    https://my.server.com/calendars/__uids__/wiki-name/calendars
If I open the URL with Safari I get
    Service Unavailable
    Wiki ACL RPC failed
Now I am confused I do not know where to start.
    Every hint is welcome,
    Christoph

  • Software update screws up calendar synch! Help!

This is the second Blackberry where I have updated operating software and now 86 recurring calendar entries are really messed up.  I have to deal with all 86 or else stop synching.  Help!! How do I prevent this and how can I achieve a global fix?

Hello brucehaines and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Can you elaborate on how the appointments are being messed up? Are they duplicating on your device? Are you getting any error when you are trying to sync?

  • I think I'm screwed. HotSynching overode my handheld calendar....HELP!

I'm trying to remain calm.. but I think I just lost 4 years of my calendar...
I use my Tungsten E for business, and my desktop calendar is where I do most of my scheduling and then go back and adjust it as actual time records for billing...
Today my Win XP computer kinda froze and my Palm Desktop wasn't responding... didn't do a hard reboot or anything but closed the program.
Somehow next time I opened up the Palm Desktop program my calendar was just gone...
The handheld was current as of 2 days ago, so I thought I'd restore the calendar from that when I HotSynched...
But I guess I didn't check my preferences and the only appointment it retained was the last one I had adjusted.... all the rest in both handheld and desktop are now gone. ( pref was "Synchronize Calendar" w/o either handheld or desktop checked to always override the other.)
Any suggestions on how to retrieve the data?
I was thinking of using GoBack... but I don't even know what the calendar file might be called...or if I can get it back....
Any help will be greatly appreciated...
    Post relates to: Tungsten E
Message Edited by irrig8r on 04-27-200708:11 PM

I am revisiting this topic because I think I've done it again.... or I should say my computer/ handheld have. I tried hotsyncing yesterday and realized I hadn't done so since March 15, 2011.
That's when my handheld records ended.
So, I went to the desktop program where my records should have been current... and somehow, since the last Windows security update a couple of days ago (coincidental?) they weren't. (Seems that my computer must have automatically restarted to finish the security update installation and my desktop program was open at the time. Somehow I think this combination of events might have corrupted my calendar files.)
Hotsyncing erased files on the desktop back to September, 2009.
So I tried hotsyncing again... and more files were erased... though on the handheld this time, going back to August 2004. (I have had my desktop program through three computers, a Palm Pilot, a Palm III and a Tungsten E and my calendar was more or less continuous going back to 1998.)
I decided to check the hotsync log, where I discovered it had been telling me since last October that it was unable to sync various files, mostly contacts and calendar. It's telling me I may have reached a maximum number of records at somewhere between 6,000 and 7,000 (does this really happen?) and suggested I delete some.
I'm printing weekly calendars from the desktop to 2009 while I still have them.
After checking this board and remembering Go Back I thought I'd have an easy fix... except I remembered I replaced Norton with trend Micro about two years ago after some issues with Norton.. so now I've really done it.
    Bottom line:
I think it's time to retire both my Palm desktop and my Tungsten E and go with either an iPhone or Android phone. My son showed me how easy Google Calendar and Contacts (Gmail) are to use, with many of the same features as what I'm used to... but since everything is stored "in the cloud" I won't have to synchronize and i can access all my data from anywhere. Though I may get in the habit of printing calendar records weekly for hard backup.
I'm going through and printing weekly calendars going back to the beginning, just to help me remember which customers I did work for when and in more recent years document mileage, etc., for tax purposes.

  • Contacts and calendar events disappearing and reappearing

I have three issues, two of which I think are related.
    1.
My contacts disappear on my iPhone 3G. I am set up with MobileMe to auto sync and I don't know if that is getting screwed up somehow? The contact are on my Mac lap top when I go look (thank goodness), and I force a sync and they transfer to my phone fine. This has happened twice now. I have copied my contacts as vCards and saved that file in the downloads folder just in case they get lost on both my laptop and my iPhone - I also do a regular full laptop backup to my Time Machine - is there anything else I should be doing to back up my contact and calendar data?
    2. (possibly related to 1.)
When I am looking at my iCal in the weekly view on my laptop, sometimes several of my appointments are not visible. It is only when I try to put an appointment in that is at the same time as the invisible ones that they suddenly reappear.
    3. One of my contacts will not sync from my iPhone to my lap top? It used to be in both places but for some reason it is now only on my iPhone and even when I sync, it doesn't come into my laptop Address Book.
    Help please!!!

i am having what i think is a very similar problem in that my Exchange (you seem to use only mobileme) contacts partially disappear. i discover this when i check my sms message list and find that many messages show only the phone number when earlier the name was there. a check of the contacts list shows that some have disappeared.
i restarted the phone and checked immediately but it was still gone but after a few minutes they came back.
my theory is that something is going on with messy exchange server syncs with my iphone that could be causing the process to break midway but after a while the phone automatically syncs again.
this issue appears quite rarely for me but enough to be noticed and to be annoying.

  • How do I access group calendars on 10.8 server from a calendar client?

    Hi,
I have a brand new installation of 10.8.2 . I installed the server app and started Calendar, Contacts, DNS, File Sharing, Mail, Open Directory and the Wiki services. I created a group with some users in it. I also created a group wiki and enabled the calendar for that wiki. The user group has r/w access to the wiki. The web interface to the wiki works from a client 10.8.2 client system. I can edit the group calendar through the web interface. I created an account in the Calendar application that connects to the server and shows the users' calendar. I altered the server path to /principals/__uids__/wiki-GROUPNAME/.
The calendar shown is still that for the user and not the one of the group. Hence my question: how do I access group calendars on a 10.8 server from the calendar application on a client?

    yrmomsadic wrote:
Forgot to mention, you can techinically force it to work, but iCal breaks it for some unknow reason, taking it back to the users account after a day or two.  The best work around has been to create a new user, named the group name, and then allow delegates to access the calendar.  This however screws things up with the iphone calendar, as it didn't/doesn't handle delegates.  Again, hoping Apple comes to their senses on this.
You can still delegated calendars on iOS, but the setup is a little tricky.  You have to add an entirely new calendar account, and enter the full ugly url with the users uuid.  It would be so nice if iOS just supported CalDav delegation.

  • Razr Maxx Calendar will not sync with Exchange Calendar

My Thunderbolt synced fine....just switched to the Razr Maxx Friday and the Calendar will not sync with my Exchange Calendar. Email and contacts are syncing fine.

I guess I'm screwed.  My Razr HD calendar won't sync with Google - apparently all my events were on the phone calendar and not Googe calendar.  After following prior posts, I cleared the data on my phone's calendar - now my events are gone and I don't know when my next appointments are.  Any way to retrieve that data?  Any way to sync the two calendars - or to make sure the darn appointments are placed on the Google calendar and not the stupid phone calendar?
You have to select the Google/Gmail account as the location where to save the event. In the screen where you are adding the info to create the event there is a spot for choosing which calendar to save it to. This is where you pick the Gmail calendar.

  • SQL Query to calculate on-time dispatch with a calendar table

    Hi Guys,
I have a query (view) to calculate orders' fulfillment leadtimes.
The current criteria exclude week-ends but not bank holidays therefore I have created a calendar table with a column name

The Julian business day is a good trick. Number the days from whenever your calendar starts and repeat a number for a weekend or company holiday.
    CREATE TABLE Calendar
(cal__date date NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
     julian_business_nbr INTEGER NOT NULL,
    INSERT INTO Calendar
    VALUES ('2007-04-05', 42),
     ('2007-04-06', 43), -- good Friday
     ('2007-04-07', 43),
     ('2007-04-08', 43), -- Easter Sunday
     ('2007-04-09', 44),
     ('2007-04-10', 45); --Tuesday
To compute the business days from Thursday of this week to next
     Tuesdays:
    SELECT (C2.julian_business_nbr - C1.julian_business_nbr)
FROM Calendar AS C1, Calendar AS C2
     WHERE C1.cal__date = '2007-04-05',
     AND C2.cal__date = '2007-04-10';
We do not use flags in SQL; that was assembly language. I see from your code that you are still in a 1960's mindset. You used camelCase for a column name! It makes the eyes jump and screws up maintaining code; read the literature.
The “#” is illegal in ANSI/ISO Standard SQL and most other ISO Standards. You are writing 1970's Sybase dialect SQL! The rest of the code is a mess.
The one column per line, flush left and leading comma layout tells me you used punch cards when you were learning programming; me too! We did wrote that crap because a card had only 80 columns and uppercase only IBM 027 character sets. STOP IT, it make you
    look stupid in 2015.
You should follow ISO-11179 rules for naming data elements. You failed. You believe that “status” is a precise, context independent data element name! NO!
You should follow ISO-8601 rules for displaying temporal data. But you used a horrible local dialect. WHY?? The “yyyy-mm-dd” is the only format in ANSI/ISO Standard SQL. And it is one of the most common standards embedded in ISO standards. Then you used crap
like “6/01/2015” which is varying length and ambiguous that might be “2015-06-01” or “2015-01-06” as well as not using dashes.
We need to know the data types, keys and constraints on the table. Avoid dialect in favor of ANSI/ISO Standard SQL.
And you need to read and download the PDF for:

Can you throw out this mess and start over? If you do not, then be ready to have performance got to hell? You will have no maintainable code that has to be kludged like you are doing now? In a good schema an OUTER JOIN is rare, but you have more of them in
ONE statement than I have seen in entire major corporation databases.
