How do I create a calendar in Aperture 3? Or do I have to export photos to iPhoto to create a calendar?

All Day events in Calenday spans two days

I mentioned this earlier, but thought I'd repost it into it's own discussion.
I've noticed that most (all?) of my all day events show up just fine in iCal (for a single day), but after syncing to my iPod - the iPod shows these all day events spanning over to the following day.
I just did a fresh iPod restore the other day so even if that did fix it - it was very very temporary.
And yes - at the time I checked that option to over write the data on the iPod.

No time zone issue here either. Strange. Just one of those things we will never know...
My lame fix?
List the event I want for "all day" at 3:00am. Then later, when I feel like it, go to iCal and change them to All Day. Course, that only works if you never move it in Outlook again (for example, it I move the all day event from Thursday to Friday it will once again, become a two day event in the iPhone).
Maybe someone at Apple could just fix this during a lunch break...I will even pay for the lunch!

Why do I see tomorrow's calenday events TODAY?

When I go to Google, I see a pop-up at the bottom of the screen with tomorrow's calendar event. I don't want to see it a day early. That's why I set it for 9 a.m. TOMORROW. How can I fix this?

You may get an initial event on startup which is normal. Also make sure that you have not enabled timestamp change events.

Calenday Syncs in only one direction

Every time I add a calendar event on my iPhone, the next time it syncs, that event disappears and the calendar entries revert back to what is on my desktop. I have MobileMe activated, and I sync regularly with the USB cable. What am I doing wrong?

If you are syncing calendar events over the air with your MM account on your iPhone, then you aren't syncing calendar events via the iTunes sync process.
You can do one or the other, not both.
Are you syncing calendar events over the air or via the iTunes sync process?

For Example:

If user executed report on 15 Aug 2009 i am expecting 7 (As only 4 months completed in Current year)
and
If user executed report on 02Jan 2010 i am expecting 0

Absence Quota Generation begining of Calendar Year

Hello Experts,
Although the said requirment has been already posted in SDN, could not see any solution for this from the threads.
I have a requirment to Generate Absence Quota i.e Annual Leave at the begining of the year, precisely when i run Time Evaluation on 01.01.2011 system should generate the Quota in advance for the Calenday year.
I could generate via Report RPTQTA00 but the same is not happening in TE, even i tried with all Accrual options like Calendar Year, Monthly, Payroll Period, Base Period etc but system picking only the last day of the month or year.
I am wondering if some potential solution would have released from SAP during EHP 4 and 5
Kindly help me with your expertise

I have one senario in TIme management ....
Employee have 1year probation period ,but he is entiteled for taking leave after 1 year . that to leave should be accured for calender years after probation period. & henceforth it should accur per calender year.
For Example: Employee have joined on April 2011 ,Then his leave should be accured after April2012 upto Dec 2012 & then for next year 2013 leave should accure from Jan 2013 to Dec 2013.

How do I start a specific app on my iMac at 0700 each day? I used to be able to do this through an iCal Alert, but this facility seems to have recently been removed.

I need to have the app Money start automatically at 0700 each day so that I get automatic notification of billos to pay today. I used to be able to do this through an apple script, then more recently through a standard alert within iCal. But things seem to have changed and that no longer works. I have tried adding an attachment to the daily event but that also does not work, and there seems to be no recent documentstion/help which assists me.

Problem solved. Use a calenday which is on the Mac, not on iCloud. Then set up a daily event and use Custom Alert to open the .app file.

Chart dispalying contents Issue

I ahve data in my inital view as shown below.... The thing to be noted is that I dont have Month dield, but I have attribute of Calenday Yeam month which is month so I brought Calendar year month and activated attribute Month. I turned on on property for Year month to "No Dispaly" so final output looks as shown below... but unfortunately it show no values on x-axis. I only want Month on horizontal X-Axis and Year as legend.

Issue with Variables using Customer Exit.

I have the following scenario,
I the Variable Screen I have 4 variables, lets say for eg: Plant, Material, Material Group, Calendar Day.
Then I have 4 Customer Exit Variables in the report, 2 of type Char Value Variables and 2 of type Text Variables.
I have written the customer exit code and all the 4 customer exit variables derive their values from the Calendar Day Variable from Variable Screen.
In the Variable screen if i give the values only for the variable calendar the report executes fine.
But along with Calendar Day If I enter values for any other variable the report gives the following error message - "No value could be determined for variable VAR_CALDAY_CEXIT_1." VAR_CALDAY_CEXIT_1 is the name of my one of the Customer Exit Variables.
Please let me know how to solve this problem.

'VAR_CALDAY_MULSIN_MAN' is the Calenday Day Variable from the Variable Screen.
It is of type multiple single values.
The User enters two dates and then the code is utilized to pass these 2 dates to 2 Char Value Variables and 2 Text Variables.
Once again, if i do not enter the values for any other variable then the report executes fine.

HI,
0calday -- is to be run only once a day that to at the end of the day and with a range of 5 min. Numeric Pointer -- is to be used for the tables where it allows only appending of records ana no change .. eg: CATSDB HRtime managent table .
Timestamp: using this you can always delta as many times as possible with a upeprlimit .

Decision Step in Process chain

Hello All,
I have a meta chain which run at 00:30 midnight everyday.
It consist of 4 sub process chain.
The last process chain consist of decision step in it.
This last process chain should run only at first friday of every month.
For this reason this decision step is included in it.
It consist of the following formula.
"( ( Local Time > '17:00:00' ) AND ( DATE_WEEKDAY1( Local date + 1 ) = '6' ) AND ( RIGHT( 2, ( Local date + 1 ) ) <= '07' ) ) OR ( ( Local Time <= '17:00:00' ) AND ( DATE_WEEKDAY1( Local date ) = '6' ) AND ( RIGHT( 2, ( Local date ) ) <= '07' ) )"
Till now the process chain had never executed at 1st friday of every month.
The third sub process chain finishes at 3:30 everyday. So due to that the local time of starting the 4th process will be 3:32 and then this decison checks.
The first condition fails as the local time is <17:00:00 and not > 17:00:00.
Hence it will move to the other OR condition.
But friday is weekday '05' and not as '06' hence again the second condition is failing. Hence the process chain is not executed at first friday.
After doing this small change also what further more changes should be done in the formula which will help me to execute that chain only at first friday of every month and for rest day it should not execute.
Points will be assigned for helpful answere.

The decision step is fine and making changes in the formulae would be ideal but another alternative is through restrictions in the start step for the 4th process chain w.r.t the calenday you will choose. You can restrict it to a particular day for the month with marking only 1st Friday for every month as workday

Hi Sangram,
Goto the update rules of the cube 0PP_C05 and click on any of the Key Figure -> Time Characteristic tab -> For FISCPER select the calenday day info-object and make sure the "automatic time conversion" option is checked.

Can I merge ical from old, non cloud Mac with new one?
I cannot sync from old G5 so if I backup that iCal, can I merge it with new iCal on my new Mac without losing new Mac calenday details?

Jeff,
First, iCloud: How to back up iCloud data.
Next, use iCal>File>Export>Export...for the calendar that you want to use for the export. Move the .ics file to your new computer, and double click the file. You will be offered a choice of creating a new calendar in iCloud, or importing to an existing calendar. Make the appropriate choice for your circumstances.

I FINALLY figured out the iCal to Google sync!!!

This is not as straight forward as some would lead you to believe! Once you have done it, it's surprisingly simple, but you have to do the steps in order. Here's what I've found:
1st - create your iCal calendar with all the entries and calendars you wish.
2nd - create a BLANK Google calendar to use (not a sub-calenday, but your main Google Calendar)
3rd - in iCal, export each calendar you have (if only one, fine) to your desktop
4th - in Google Calendar create those same calendar titles (this is where you'll be importing the exported iCal calendars too)
5th - import exported iCal calendars into matching google calendars
6th - in iCal turn off your calendars by unchecking them
7th - in iCal go to iCal > Preferences > at the bottom of the "Accounts" box there will be a "+" and "-" signs. click on the "+" and follow the prompts.
8th - once the link is set up go to the "delegations" tab and there should be a list of all the calendars (except if you only had one, and then this does not apply). select each calendar you want to sync with.
9th - Now you can go back to the calendar portion of iCal and delete all the iCal calendars. There should be a list of Delegates that matches the iCal calendars you are deleting. If not DO NOT DELETE the ICal Calendars. Start over!

When I originally imported the *.ics file I received this message: Failed to import events: Unable to process your iCal/CSV file..
Most of the events moved over. The sync seemed to not care when or by whom the events were created. There were events created by the same person with the same parameters, and not all those events moved over. Ones created on the iCal prior to export did not come over at all, but still show in iCal.
I also need to mention the iCal is linked to the Entourage. I did not delete that calendar from iCal, so not sure if that would create an issue. It is unchecked though. I am leary of deleting the calendars not knowing if the Entourage link will be lost. The events on this computer all come through Entourage (the program is also used for emails and address book).

N95 8GB inbox mess! sort/order sms by date!!

Why do ew sms messages I recieve on my N95 8GB suddenly appear in a randon spot (i.e. not at the bginning or end of the inbox list) even though I tried more than once to do "Sort by: Date"!!?

I have an N95 and installed firmware 31.0.17 in February 2009. It is still the latest version in August. The phone was OK for about 3 months, until I returned from a holiday overseas. Since then it has occasionally got confused about the date, even though I have network time updates always turned off. The phone usually decides it is several days in the future and so my calenday goes crazy. I change the date manually, then it works fine until a few days later, when it suddenly loses several days again. When I correct the date this second time, the phone usually runs OK for a month or more.
I cannot sort my messaging inbox or sent folder properly - by date, name or subject. They appear to be ordered randomly. I wondered whether this date scrambling problem is corrupting the file system timestamps of some of my sms entries....
... however, when I connect the client to my IMAP mail server (which provides sensible dates), the phone fails to present my email folder contents in the right order too!
Why hasn't someone from Nokia support responded to this thread? This problem has existed for about a year and persisted through more than one firmware version?
