Calender automatically deletes entries even when set to "keep forever"

Help!! I'm a new blackberry curve owner, and I am very dependant on my calender. It's just started deleting past entries (anything over 24 hours) even though my settings are to "keep forever". I have contacted my service provider and they said it's because I've run out of memory and calender entries and text messages are low priority. Is there anyway to ensure they don't get deleted? Is there anything I can do (other then set the texts to keep for only 15 days - already done) to ensure I always have enough memory? Is there anyway to recover my deleted entries? I don't have it synched to my computer or outlook. Much thanks!

Deleted messages that are not synced are gone. I am sorry. Please go to options > status > and post your file free. It is VERY likely this is your issue.
To free up memory make sure that your pictures are on a media card, that you remove any messages/MMS you dont need, delete unused applications, etc.

iPod continuously flashes "Do not Disconnect" even though iTunes says "Update is Complete" and even when set to automatic update. It mounts both in iTunes and on the Desktop.

Welcome to the discussions.
Sounds like you've got Disk Use enabled. Try unchecking the Box "Enable Disk Use" under iTunes>Preferences>iPod Tab.

Wtih iPhoto 9 when the iPhoto Trash is emptied the files get moved to the Trash bin in the Dock as a second chance to change your mind. Look in the Dock's Trash bin.

I know that I can delete anchor points but I was wondering if there is a shortcut to do it on a larger scale.
Can you automatically delete anchor points when a new image is placed on top - so that it 'replaces' the image, only on the parts obviously that you cover with the new one.

I'm using CS6, and I have a tree vector image, and I am trying to put names on top, but when I do this to keep it clean with no anchor points (as my other software cant read it with all the points in it) I have to manually delete each one but it deletes the whole path and I then end up with a tree, names on top, and a big gappy circle around the names.
So really, I wanted to add the names on top, and have that delete all anchors underneath .
Does this make sense? :S

Firefox won't delete cookies even after set to clear cookies on firefox exit

I have use custom settings for remembering history in firefox.
I set to clear history on firefox close. Under this settings, I set to clear cookies, active login and cache. But whenever firefox exits it doesn't remove cookies.
Also, I set to keep cookies till firefox closes. Still the cookies appears.
This is a big security issue for me..When I click restore previous session, firefox restores the login into sites also which I don't want

And it is my answer as well, as I was confounded with this problem for some time. Now after you do this close your Firefox browser, and open back up Firefox browser, and there will be maybe only one or two cookies, depending on your browsers' home page.
I tried other methods to get rid of persistent cookies that would not delete by, CookieKiller, and TACO Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-Out, those did not help, and I tried the methods listed on these links but they did not work:http://webdevwonders.com/clear-dom-storage/

My iPod automatically turns off, even when it is FULLY charged!!! :(

Before I go to school, I let my iPod charge over night so then on my way to school && back I can listen to it.
It's FULLYcharged and after I listen to 2 or 3 songs it just turns off. Somtimes it says "low battery pleaese connect to computer". (Remember, it's still fully charged!)Even when I turn it back on it eventually does it again.

SID remains in SLD as WAS Java entry even when Java Stack is deleted

Can somebody help me with next strange behaviour in the SLD.
Some SID's in our Landscape Components (tc SMSY) on Solution Manager has as Data Source 'SLD'.
These SID's comes from the SLD and are feeded by RZ70 for the ABAP part and by the SLD Data Supplier for the JAVA stack.
The SLD Data Supplier service is set up by the Virtual Administrator.
Now, we have systems in the SMSY with an sidname like <SID>_NABP.
These kind of entries has then SLD as datasource.
The problem is that I don't want these entries in the SMSY beacuse ther is no JAVA stack anymore.
The Java stack is removed completely.
I removed the WAS Java entry in SLD.
But, this enty in SLD is reset after a while.
So, when I remove the entry in SMSY on SolMan and in the SLD WAS JAVA, still the component is recreated in SMSY with datasourrce coming from SLD.
The data in SMSY is empty (no instance, no database). Only the SID and hostename is available.
What i believe is that something triggers the SLD Data Supplier but I can not reach it because JAVA and so Visual Administrator included is removed from the system.
Maybe, if somebody can tell me how SLD is feeded for the JAVA stack, I could find the solution.
I really hope that somebody can help me out.

Those <SID>_NABP ("non-ABAP", i.e., Java) can certainly be hard to get rid of. It's like a zombie: you think it's gone, but it keeps coming back! What's happening is that it can't recognize that the system is loading from SLD matches one that already appears in SMSY.
Note 1301106 can help sometimes: tcode SOLMAN_WORKCENTER > Root Cause Analysis > System Conflict Resolution.
Failing that, the only thing that I have found to work is to carefully compare the SID and _NABP entries, and then copy the key value that makes _NABP look like it's a different system into the SID entry: most often that is the message server name. Then, next time it reloads, it sees that it has a system with that message server (for example), and won't create a new one. You may need to right-click on the SID entry and set its data source to manual to be able to edit the message server field.
Another possible key field is the database (under the Header Data tab): assign it the value of <SID>.
A more complicated problem is where the erroneous entries are instead for ABAP stacks, and look like <SID>000001. Those have System and Type defined (under the Selection of Main Instances tab) but for a product I never installed (e.g., Mobile Infrastructure). By assigning System and Type on my existing instances, those _00001 systems were no longer created.

IOS 8 mail app only archives even when set to delete for gmail

iOS 8 and Gmail is behaving oddly with regard to delete and is still only archiving them. Option IS set to the delete option in the account setup and not archive. I have read the Apple guideance documents on deleting and archiving in Gmail accounts.
In iOS mail app in gmail account , long swipe left (delete), short swipe left then choose trash and short swipe and choose move to trash all have the same effect on message. The message disppears from inbox and if you look in the trash folder for the gmail account you momentarily see message as it syncs with server then the message disappears from trash folder. (looking directly at server shows message not present).
However looking at the "All mail" gmail folder shows message STILL present there.
Compare with the iOS Gmail app. Delete a message from inbox and it appears in trash folder and stays there. At this time it is also still present in the All Mail folder. Choose then to delete forever option and disappears from both Trash AND the All Mail folder.
iOS Mail app with Gmail accounts appears with the TRASH option only to move emails to trash locally but then as soon as sync with server it disappears from the Trash folder with no further action but remains in the All Folder. This is in effect an Archive. It should
work as as the Gmail iOS app - messages deleted or trashed are moved to Trash (from where they can be restored ) and remain there till deleted permantly manually or the Trash can is automatically purged after set time on server.

Seems to work properly for me. Are we looking at the same place? to instruct it to Delete instead of Archive:
In Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > (select account) > Account (select your e-mail address) > Advanced.
Mailbox Behavior for Deleted Mailbox: Trash.
then
Move Discarded Messages Into: Deleted Mailbox.
It wasn't this way by default. Move Discarded was Archive, and it gave the results you described. Changing that to Deleted works for me.
I set the Swipe left-to-right to Archive. So now one swipe will Archive, the other will Delete.

C7 - WLAN Connecting automatically, even when set ...

Hi, my C7 always connects to the home WLAN even it is set to "Manual" and not switch to known WLANs..... I tried turning the widgets offline too.... but it always connects to the WLAN after a few seconds.
This is annoying because when I want to use Joikuspot I have to be really fast to launch it before it connects and blocks the WLAN interface for joiku....

I faced similar issues when using the built-in nokia web bowser and there are a couple of solutions you can try:
1) when changing between wifi hotspots
     * make sure your access point is defined for that hotspot:
       menu>web (activate built-in browser)>options >settings>general>access point>options>
       select access point>select your wifi access point.
     *how to add modify access point:
      menu>settings>connectivity>settings>destinations>you can add/modify here
      the access poitn you selected should correspond to your wifi hotspot.
2) if you have saved bookmarks in the built-in web browser, the last access point you used
is probably saved as default, I always encounter this when I start yahoo.
   Here is what I did when I encountered it in yahoo:
   menu>web (built in browser)>your bookmark (e.g. yahoo) [press slightly longer, until you see the circular arrow and then a submenu]>edit>modify the access point corresponding to
   your hotspot (you will see the previously saved access point).
3) If the 2 above options will only make it more troublesome for you, please download another
     browser such as Opera Mobile

Automatic GL Entry Reconciliation when there's no reference entered?

I am investigating Automatic Entry Reconciliation functionality, which is a part of Common Country Features.
In Oracle Financials Common Country Features User Guide, p.78. it says:
General Ledger Automatic Reconciliation Report
General Ledger can only perform automatic reconciliation for transactions that
have:
■ Matching balancing segments
■ Matching account segments
■ Matching reconciliation references if you enter No for the Null References
parameter, or blank reconciliation references if you enter Yes for the Null
References parameter
Does somebody know what is the logic when automatic reconciliation is run for journal entries without reference (reference is NULL).
I have tried to run Automatic Reconciliation on EMEA Sandbox 11.5.10.2 Vision Instance (http://i3dl143e.idc.oracle.com:8007/) with 'French GL Localizations' responsibility, but concurrent is not matching/reconciling anything, althoug unreconciled report is showing unreconciled lines which can be reconciled.
It is showing the same if I try to reconcile lines with reference entered.

Semi Automatic GL Reconciliation gives you half control. You need to play with criteria to find want recommendations could be realized based on you criteria selected. If you only need match Amount, select this setting only.

Cookies appearing even when set to "Never"

Hi,
Ever since the new Safari update, I constantly get cookies from Google, even though I have NEVER set in preferences under "accept cookies". This happens many times during the day, and I am constantly deleting it, but soon after it's there again.
Can someone tell me how to stop this from happening?

But are you using a Google service, such as Google Desktop or Google Reader, etc. Those can set cookies, too. It doesn't have to be cookies from browsing.
You don't need to constantly delete cookies. You can do that at the end of a browsing session; anything more frequent is wasting your time.

HELP!!! iPhotos automatically delete in FB when i delete from my iPhoto library

I am currently trying to delete some albums from my iPhoto library and didn't even think that if I deleted them from here they would disaapear from my facebook albums. My album is now still named in FB but does not contain any photos.
So here is my question.
Q1: Have my photo's from FB completely dissapeared or can I get them back on there someone without having to upload the album again?
Q2: Why did they dissapear? is this because they were synced? if so how do i unsynce them?
Q3: What are the benifits of syncing iPhoto with Facebook? I would prefer to manually upload unless there are benifits I am not aware of.
Q4: If I did a Facebook back up about 2 months ago, can I just upload from that and only to the specific folders that now appear empty?
Any additional information that can help is greatly appreciated.

Thankyou yet again... this is pretty much what I thought.
Facebook back up is actually download my data. You can download all your data and then restore from that.
Do you know if I can turn something of in either FB or iphoto so when I delete pics from here on end it won't delet from my ipoto's?
From not on I will just upload from FB.

Is it a known but that the outgoing SMTP user ID is always set to the same as the incoming even when set differently?

I'm trying to figure out where to report this: I keep noticing that when I setup a new account and I set the incoming and outgoing user names differently, the outgoing one never is honoured; it always sets it the same as the incoming one and I have to manually go into the outgoing settings to change it. Just wondered if this was known, thought it might be worth reporting.

Photoshop CS5 - Leading is suddenly massive, even when set to auto

Using Photoshop CS5 on HP laptop with Windows 7. I've never had an issue with this before, but today when I opened up PS, this happened:
No matter what I set the leading to, there's always this humongous gap when I hit enter. Shift + enter makes no difference. Changing the font size also makes no difference.
HELP!

Look in the Paragraph panel, and see if there's a non-zero value in Space Before or Space After.

Any particular reason that the 10.3.1 ZAA decides that even though your Explorer policy is set to NOT show the [ALL] Folder that it decides to show it anyway?

That sounds like it applies to us. We have ours assigned to the USER rather than the device. I'll change this and see (and then I'll bug the powers that be to see why it's taking so long to fix). We really want/need this to be assigned to users rather than device.
