Calender To-Do problem in E72

I have few issues with To-Do
1. On main page in Active Standby, it shows all To-Dos as pending including those from future as well, like it will say 10 pending tasks while actually 2 are pending while 8 are still from some future date. This was not an issue with my earlier 6120.
2. To-Do alarm rings only once. Any time I miss a To-Do alarm there is no way that it reminds me again that I missed it until I check my Calender. There should be something like repeatedly ringing every 5 minutes till we respond.
Using Nokia Lumia 1320.
Also have Nokia E72 & Nokia N8.

Try changing Priority to 'High'. If that's not enough, remember that you can add several alarms in clock, just add a few for when you're likely to forget.

Problem with E72 incoming calls ID

hello,
i have a problem with my E72 for some days now. it doesn't show the names of the contacts that are dialing me (almost all incoming calls) even when i have them stored in my phone memory or sim card.
please advise

I guess they only show as numbers? It's most likely duplicated contacts or you have most of your numbers stored on both phone memory and sim card memory and the phone is set to show both.
So what happens is that if one number is saved twice under e.g 'Dad' and 'John' the phone doesn't know what name to show and shows only number.
Make sure your phone is set to only show contacts from phone memory first and then go through your contact list and make sure there are no duplicates.
If your phone is just showing the word "calling" or something like that, you will have to call your operator, but I guess that's not in this case as you wrote almost all incoming calls.

Problem with e72, PHONE AUTOLOCK PERIOD

Guys and gals, i need help.. i just got my e72 yesterday. It was first set to "NONE" so to add security I set it to "USER DEFINED". But it irriatated me always entering the code, so I plan to put it back to "NONE", but everytime I click "NONE" it says "UNABLE TO UNLOCK PHONE"... How can I "turn off" the PHONE AUTOLOCK PERIOD? pls. help.. Is here something wrong with my device?

Hi,
I had the same problem, but did not like the idea of totally hard resetting my 5230. But it turned out that when you go to the OVI suite and go there to the update software section, you can request to reinstall the latest version of the software. After that the lock was gone, but all my original settings were still in tact.
So, I am a happy camper at this moment

Installation Problems with E72

Hi, My problem is basically E72 doesn't finish the installation process of new applications. I've downloaded windows live, opera mini and bloomberg. Each time it asks to install, then give license and certification info, then asks to continue and afterwards nothing happens. It does not finalize installation process. No installation file under Application Manager (except Windows Live), no new application under applications or under menu, no record under log; i.e. nothing happens. I've searched for installation files via PC suite but can not find 'em in sd card, except WL. Thinking that sth wrong with sd card, still not sure...Any Ideas?

Nokia E-72

Problems with E72 with Jaguar XK integrated blueto...

I have just upgraded my E71 to an E72. I have paired my devices and it is recognised. I can receive and make calls no problem.
However, previously with my E71 I could use all the functionality with my jaguar phone. However, with the E72 the ability to access my phone book and last 10 numbers dialled has disappeared.
Has anyone any ideas?

Problems with e72 email connection, security setti...

Hello everyone,
I got back my e72 after a few months using an e5 and now I cannot connect to my email without changing the certificates every other minutes.
Let me explain: I have two accounts, on hotmail and gmail. I create the mailboxes, fill all the fields and tried different ways of connecting: the IMAP hotmail account through "Others", the POP3 hotmail account through "Others", the hotmail automatic account, the gmail automatic account, the Mail for exchange, etc. It does always download the emails that are in my real mailbox but then I cannot connect anymore automatically.
Each time, I end up with two problems:
- on IMPA and POP3, the security settings in "advance settings" always turn off after I put it on so the email doesn't connect. So I always have to turn it on to be able to connect.
- with mailforexchange, I have to delete each time the new "permanent certificate" so that the phone connect to my email account and dowload the email received or send the new ones.
So am I missing some plugs in? Am I missing anything else?

For hotmail I tried two different ones:
- m.hotmail.com (as explained here: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA136561) and s.outlook.com fo mailexchange,
and for imap and pop, I followed this: http://windows.microsoft.com/fr-FR/windows/outlook/send-receive-from-app
But none work without me having to change on and on the permanent certificate (the phone didn't asked me to but I found out it was the only way to have an update of my emails) or change the "secure connection" to Yes because it does always go back to No in "Advance Mailbox settings".

Weird problems in E72

i have a weird problem with my phone now i dont get wat to do, this is happening from a while now phone works fine without any issues but the only problem is after the alarm at 7.30 morning the keypad gets lock and u can not unlock it after that even if u remove the battery and switch it back on its still the same then u have to let it go for a day then it works fine i tried by switching alarm off for 2 days and it had no issues. i upgraded the software yest and the phone was great working smother and was quick to so i tried with the alarm again and the phone has hanged now i dont get it its silly but this is wats happening do u have any idea wat to do about the matter

it's advised to reset the E72 after a firmware update. Dial *#7370# 12345 reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings.

Blinking message problem on E72??

Pleas help me, on my E72 there is a blinking message sign in the bottom of the screen I don't know what it is and i can't make it disappear.

1st try messaging go to messages and select options then sim messages read or delete then check your e mail

Opera Mini problem with E72

Hi all..
This is my first post here.
I can't use Opera mini web browser at all! It loads and finally throws up the following error:
"Failed to connect to the Internet."
It's frustrating coz I was (am) able to use Opera mini without any glitch on N73..

hi every one,
I have the same issue too, both with opera mini and opera 10. Not able to connect using wifi connects.
I have already updated the nokia software to 051.18
what I think the main issue is related with JAVA. As I am also not able to connect / use other JAVA related applications as well on my set. Like ebuddy, nokia chat and mobi cast (cricinfo mobile application ).
The error msg when I try to connect with ebuddy: "Your internet settings must be activated for JAVA APPLICATION or try again later". This is the default error msg which comes again n again every time.
I did chk the java setting ---> Menu --> Internet ----> Web ---> Options ---> Settings ----> General ---->
Is there a solution for this? Can some one help me to sort out this issue? Please.

Apps connection problem in e72

hi i have bought my nokia e72 a year ago but i have bought a wifi lately it is just when i open chat apps like ebuddy and facebook it don't connect via wifi, it always connects via 3gp network.i tried to delete the the 3gp network acces from destination but it tells me failed to connect . it doesn't ask me which network i choose to connect through (it would be wifi of course)so guys please help

Hi all,
after a hard work, i could set up gmail account on E72. Now I am getting emails on mobile but all the mails that I sent from mobile are lying in outbox?
Can any one pls provide a solution?

Problems nokia e72 email setup

I am using a WI-FI connection. When i start the e-mail wizard either using it form the home screen or for Menu>>>email>>>define new mailbox. The wizard asks me which connection i want to use , i select a wifi connection then it opens an interface where i can select ovi mail, Gmail ,windows live hotmail , mail for exchange ,lotus notes Traveler or other , if i select either Gmail or hotmail i enter my ID and password it starts detecting email settings then it returns to the same interface again, i enter my email and password again ,and again the same problem(the IMAP in my gmail account is enabled) . i have a valid nokia messaging account using my gmail account account I couldn't activate it when i received the SMS the problem was could not connect to server try again later. When I configure my email manually without using the wizard it works but it didn't deliver my emails instantly I should select an updating interval every 5 or 15 min or... Even thought it didn't works I should update my Inbox manually.

Thanks for the solution.. Actually, i purchased a new E-72, few months back. And since then, i was not able to configure my mail with handset with Wifi connection. However, afterwards, i inserted a Sim enabled with GPRS and configured all my mails with it. I synchronized all the mails. Thereafter, i again inserted GPRS disabled sim and tried to access mail through Wifi. I was successful doing that and was able to send and receive real time mails through my device. only one thing is to be kept in consideration while using mail through Wifi.. You always wud need too change the access point of connection for mail. that can be done through follwoing path:
When you are in your mail just go to Options - Settings - Account Settings - Account Information - Access point.
After going to access point, you will need to set your desired access point of Wifi.
then you will be able to access your mails.

Problem with E72 messaging

I regularly have to follow the instructions elsewhere on this forum to delete my email account on the Nokia website and then reinstate it to keep my hotmail account working on my E72.
However, when I did this a few days ago because email had stopped working yet again, the email service returned but only if I manually tell it to connect. The automatic pulling down of new messages has completely stopped.
Anybody got any ideas please?

i understand that the box and specs say that the e72 has push email....but it doesnt work, and thier NM which is the "push" email doesnt work well at all.
i would scratch the NM/Push email on this device and when you get tot he TOS (terms of service) when setting up your email, just select "no" and it will enter your email without using the NM/Push email on the device.
then when you set-up the email settings, you can select "send immediately" for outbound mail, and you can select the time frame you want it to connect and look for new mail as well.

Imap problem on E72

When I reply to an email with Imap the email in the Inbox of the mail server should be updated. Without the update the arrow in the email icon isn't visible. Does someone know how I can enable the update / synchronization? Or is it a bug?
