How can i calibrate the homebutton of my new ipad "3". Because there is no stocks app like on the iphone.

Home button on iPad rMini takes 2 tries to work.

I have a replacement retina iPad mini. I got it in January, 2014 after shattering the screen in my original. After a month or so I noticed he home button didn't always respond, but the instances were few at the onset. This is getting progressively worse. Now it takes 2 solid pushes for it to register. Although it is very useable now, I feel it will continue to get worse. The iPad is not damaged in any way.
Anyway, I have AppleCare and was wondering if anyone thought that Apple may replace it at no charge (which I feel they should) or if they are going to charge me the fee AppleCare charges for a replacement unit. if they charged me, that would be my second strike against 3 replacements.
has anyone had experience with home button issues and AppleCare?
Thoughts?

I guess I spoke too soon. One day has passed since I tried this fix, and although it seemed to fix my problem at first, I have had 2 nonresponsive touches since that point in time. So maybe it's a combination of hardware and software issues but it is still definitely present.
So back to my original question,
Do you think that Apple care will charge me or will take care of this at no charge - Anyone?

Freezing Home Button on iPad 2

Had my 64gb wi fi & 3G iPad 2 since launch day on the 25th March. In the last few days I have noticed the home button has started to not respond when pressed, either once or when double clicked! It does seem to be intermittent, but I am certainly not happy with such an expensive piece of kit. Anyone else having a similar problem?

I'm having the same problem with my 32GB 3G iPad 2. Like you said, the problem is intermittent and very worrying. I've seen quite a few people commenting online that they have also had the same problem. I have no idea whether this is a SW or HW issue but I really hope its SW because it will be really hard for me to get a replacement where I live (Shanghai). I guess I'll have to give Apple a call tomorrow.

The home button on my daughters iPad mini is completely unresponsive. I have tried opening an app holding the quit button then pressing the home button....still nothing. I have also reset all the settings and still no.
Any other suggestions?

Shadowy light flickereing above home button on ipad mini

I have an iPad mini and it was purchased in December. Since yesterday I noticed a shadowy type light flickering at the bottom of the screen just above the home button. I have no idea what this is and hope somebody has an answer? I am very concerned about it, thank you. When I put my brightness on high the shadowy light is not visible, however as soon as I put the brightness down the shadowy light becomes ovious and noticeable.

it might because you have pressed the button a little too hard and caused a dent in the display inside or something. take it to the apple store, since if you didn't press hard and there's the problem, they can give you a new one.

Dust around home button on iPad Mini

I've only had my iPad mini for a few days now and already I notice dust getting collected around the home button.
Does anyone else get this? Which is the best way to get rid of the dust?

Force iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to 6 very closely.

I cannot transfer large home videos from iPad to Windows XP

I have tried third party apps, copy and paste. Cannot get my home videos to transfer to my PC.

I am new to Apple products. This is very confusing to me. I can see my iPad in divices under camera and scanners. When I click on the icon I only have a few choices for transfering. For small videos I can use Scanner and Camera Wizzard with no problems. Anything over 500mb will not transfer. I have also tried PhotoSync, but I cannot get a connection. I have tried to drag and drop, copy and paste. I called Apple support and they had no solution. I just know there has to be a way to get my home videos from the iPad to my PC Windows XP Pro.
