Call Audio On and Off with every other call

My wife both have the Samsung Intensity 3. We like the phones but every since getting them the call sound only comes on every other call whether going out or receiving. Even just yesterday I was stuck in the desert with limited reception and had to call 911 and the call sound wasn't on which was awful when I would only have sporatic 30 second windows of service.
This is my second new Samsung Intensity II after they replaced it 2 weeks ago and I don't know what the problem is. As I said, my wife has the exact same issue. And it happens everywhere we go not just at home.
I don't know what to do other than get another phone model.

No the sound comes back on. On the second attempt at calling the sound would be on. My previous device did not have this issue.
Since this problem was constant and we couldn’t any longer to resolve the issue we opted to get a different device. We switched to the LG Extravert and now the issue does not occur at all. The phone works exactly like it should.
So I don’t know why the Samsung Intensity III was having so many issues, especially after getting another new Intensity after the first one did the same thing.

  • Automatic Passing of parameters with every RMI Call

    We need the ability to automatically pass a couple of objects, both Strings in this case, with every RMI call we make from our clients (multiple clients) to the servers (multiple servers). Currently I'm using some code that Rickard berg wrote a while ago that uses UnicastRef.marshalCustomCallData() and UnicastServerRef.unmarshalCustomCallData() so do this. I extended these 2 classes and rolled my own UnicastRemoteObject. This has worked out great but now I need to also use Custom Socket Factories, to get through the firewalls that our customer has. So I thought I could just extend UnicastRef2 and UnicastServerRef2 but when I do the servers never get
    bound to the RmiRegistry.
    We don't want to explicitly add these arguments to all our remote interfaces because we have a bunch of remote object classes and don't want to rely on the programmer sending the correct values or when writing new remote methods making sure that they these arguments are included.
    We're using 1.4.1, but this also fails with 1.3.1.
    The only thing I see in the logs is:

    So anyone know why this doesn't work when I supply the SocketFactories?
    Is there a better way to accomplish this than extending sun.rmi.server classes (which was really easy)? I can supply the source for my classes if it helps, though my UnicastServerRef2 and UnicastRef2 classes are pretty simple.
    Mark.

    First, did you really bind the servers?
    Second, does it work with the socket factories but without your custom Ref classes? I would suspect the socket factories here. Do they have a reasonable override for the Object.equals() method?

    Nothing will print. My printer works with every other program, but not this one!

    I see the printer, in blue when I click on the hardware tab. Actually there are 2 things listed that have to do with the printer.
    The first one is called:
                    HP Photosmart Prem C410 series (DOT4PRIN.... and under the Type it is listed as IEEE1284.4...
    The next is listed as:
                    HP Phototsmart Prem C410 series and under the Type heading it says Printers.
    I don't know which one to pick.  So when I choose the name highlighted in blue, what do I do to change the name?

    No.  You'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation and replacement.  If you're still within the warranty period and a hardware defect is identified, the phone will be replaced without charge.

    Why are you using a single labeled domain? I would recommend renaming the domain name to be something like domain.com.
    Please refer to the articles below to fix your current issue:

  • I have to select bluetooth audio with every incoming call (instead of the call automatically going to bluetooth, which i want) -- is there something I'm missing?

    Just got new Bose bluetooth headphones, which work great -- can pair with iPhone 6+, mac, car -- the pairing is fine, sound is great, function is fine.  The problem is exclusively INCOMING calls. Unless I see the call on the phone, I cannot hear it through the headset (therefore rendering the bluetooth for incoming calls useless).
    Sequence is:
    Incoming call
    I have to manually select the bluetooth pair for the headset when the call is accepted
    Anyone know of something I'm missing here?
    It's not the headset -- it's working and pairing fine, sound is fine, AND i can make a call.
    Thanks.

    Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities
    This sounds like a bug and I would recommend filling out a feedback form letting Apple know what your problem is. https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Calling a Procedure and Variables with a : vs. a ?

    Sorry, this is a long one, but I'm trying to provide as much background as possible.
    The below code (from a procedure called view_ibba_for_maint) is a snippet of code from a much larger SQL package. The package is called from a web browser.
    htp.tableOpen('CELLSPACING=1 CELLPADDING=1 width="50%"
    bordercolor="#669966"', calign=>'center');
    htp.tableRowOpen;
    htp.tableData(fontx||htf.anchor(owa_util.get_owa_service_path||

    *'budorg='||budorg||'&'||'appr_unit='||appr_unit||'&'||*
    *'obje_ocat='||obje_ocat||'&'||*

    *'obje_id='||obje_id||*
    *'"onMouseOver=" window.status=''Click to Remove IBBA Budget Line.'';*
    return true','Remove Budget'),calign=>'CENTER');
    htp.tableData(fontx||htf.anchor(owa_util.get_owa_service_path||
    *'nfdw_budadmn.mod_ibba_inp'||*
    *'"onMouseOver=" window.status=''Click to Return to Query Form.'';*
    return true','Return To Query Form'),calign=>'CENTER');
    htp.tableRowClose;
    htp.tableClose;
    This portion of code calls a procedure called del_ibba_warn (in the nfdw_budadmn package). Both procedures are in the nfdw_budadmn package. view_ibba_for_maint calls del_ibba_warn a few times in the procedure. Anyway, when we were on Oracle 8i, the package and procedures worked fine. However, when we upgraded to 10g, it fails. (see the following web_browser link and error that is generated)
    Internet Explorer Address Bar:     http://orasrv2/fdotdwat/nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn:2fyear=2008&budorg=B065&appr_unit=466026&obje_ocat=8130&bud_auth_amount=0&appr_name=INFORMATION%20SERVICES&fy_id=6497&borg_id=65775&appr_id=263566&obje_id=23968

    We believe it is a problem with the way del_ibba_warn is called. In the original code it is called like this: 'nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn:2'. So I try to replace the :2 with a ? (like this: 'nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn?' (also tried nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn?2'), but it still fails. The program actually replaces the new ? that I put into the code with a :1 in the internet explorer address bar when I run it.. (Not sure why a :1 and not a :2.) But, if I go and substitute the :1 with a ? in the address bar that is generated after I attempt to call the procedure, it works. I change the address bar to this:
    http://orasrv2/fdotdwat/nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn?fyear=2008&budorg=B065&appr_unit=466026&obje_ocat=8130&bud_auth_amount= 0&appr_name=INFORMATION%20SERVICES&fy_id=6497&borg_id=65775&appr_id=263566&obje_id=23968
    Hit enter, and the procedure goes forward like it should. So, the overall question is why is the IE address bar forcing the :2 or :1 to show up in the address bar? Why won't it take my ? I put in? Why was it necessary for the original programer to label the del_ibba_warn calls with a : or a :2 at all? (Again, del_ibba_warn is called a few times in the procedure). And, it used to work when we were on 8i.
    We have been trying to figure this out (on and off) for some time now. We feel like we're right there for figuring this out, but can't quite get it. Any ideas? Please let me know if I can provide any additional info. Thanks!

    Darn, didn't work. I still get the same error.......
    The address bar:
    http://orasrv2/fdotdwat/nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn:2fyear=2008&budorg=B065&appr_unit=466026&obje_ocat=8130&bud_auth_amount=0&appr_name=INFORMATION%20SERVICES&fy_id=6497&borg_id=65775&appr_id=263566&obje_id=23968
    The Error:

    Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
    mod_plsql: /fdotdwat/nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn:2fyear=2008&budorg=B065&appr_unit=466026&obje_ocat=8130&bud_auth_amount=0&appr_name=INFORMATION SERVICES&fy_id=6497&borg_id=65775&appr_id=263566&obje_id=23968 HTTP-400 Name "nfdw_budadmn.del_ibba_warn:2fyear=2008&budorg=B065&appr_unit=466026&obje_ocat=8130&bud_auth_amount=0&appr_name=INFORMATION SERVICES&fy_id=6497&borg_id=65775&appr_id=263566&obje_id=23968" is longer than 30 chars
    Now, I pasted the changes you suggested and the package did compile. But notice how it forces the ":2" into the address bar and the error message? That, I just don't get. Would it help if I posted the two procedures involved? I'll avoid posting the whole package (it's way big).

  • Why does my ipod touch 5th gen not charge when plugged into my computer? (it keeps stuttering(lightning symbol next to bettery goes on and off literally every second))

    so I have my ipod touch 5th gen connect and the little lightning symbol, next to the battery on the top left, keeps flashing on and off every second. I don't know what to do and also it doesn't show up on iTunes.

    Hey Ed, Try trouble shooting 101. Do you have a different cable and/or charging device? If so, try the different cable first, then a different charging device. If the problem goes away, I'd say it's the cable, replace it. If with in 1 from date of purchase, Apple will replace for free if the cable is found to be defective. If the problem continues with a different cable or a different charging device, then the problem is with your iPod. With a strong light and a magnifying glass look in the iPod's charging port. Your looking for damage in and around the port. Is the port lose? (shouldn't be). Are pieces missing or damaged? Bent or damaged contact pins can do what you describe. Foreign debris, namely pocket lint or corrosion can also cause charging issues. If you see something like lint, try to blow it out, or if you must use a non-conductive probe, I find a round wooden toothpick works well to carefully remove the lint from the bottom of the port. Just be careful to not touch, bend or damage the gold contact pins on the long side of the port. Also make sure the locking pins on the short ends (looks like two silver bumps, one on each end) of the port are free to move. If you find corrosion, try plugging / unplugging about 12 times to clean the contacts off. If you must use a cotton swab cut to fit, with a drop of 91% isopropyl alcohol on it, you want it damp, not wet, then plug it in and out until the swab comes out clean. You will most likely need several swabs. If you find nothing physically wrong, then try resetting your iPod. If that does not work, restore from backup, last resort, make a backup then restore to new, a full factory restore. If issue continues see your Apple store and have it evaluated for a possible hardware issue. But start with a different or new cable. Good luck, Cheers.

  • Samsung Stratosphere In-Call Audio Crackling and Echo

    Sometimes when I accept a call I notice that anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes in the speaker starts crackling with a weird distortion. It sounds kind of like one of those radiation detectors in the movies. The person on the other end hears echoing and not the noise itself. I would have thought this was due to a faulty earpiece but it is so intermittent I doubt it. Does anyone else have this problem? My phone is now 15 days old.

    I've had my Stratosphere since about the beginning of February and I have had the same problem. During a call I'm told that my audio cuts out and also that the other party keeps hearing a clicking sound as the audio breaks up. I called someone today and left a voice mail. When I listened to it, prior to ending my call it was just a series of clicking sounds. I wound up sending the individual a text instead.
    I've removed the battery and replaced it as well as done a system reset and also disabled the privacy settings. Help! I really like this phone but will need to make other arrangements if this isn't resolved quickly.

  • How to read a text file and only output every other line?

    I am just writing a program that reads a file but outputs only every other line. Any ideas...please? thanks

    I'd start with something like this and expand on it as you go:
    File file = <whatever>;
    BufferedReader in = null;
    try {
        in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file));
        int i = -1;
        for (String line = null; (line = in.readLine()) != null; ) {
            if ((++i % 2) == 0) {
                System.out.println(line);
    } catch (IOException e) {
        e.printStackTrace();
    } finally {
        if (in != null) {
            try {
                in.close();
            } catch (IOException e) {
    }Shaun

  • IMac freezes with every other click

    I am new to the community and hope to find help for a big problem.
    I run OS Yosemite 10.10.1 on my 2010 iMac 2.93 i7 (upgraded to 12GB RAM a year ago).
    For the past 5 days it gives me the colorful wheel of death almost with every second click. I cannot open a program or search a site or move a file without the iMac freezing up. Just writing these two sentences, it froze twice for about 45 seconds, which is the average, but it can take up to 2 min before the Mac responds again. I have not changed anything on my iMac knowingly in the past few weeks.
    I closed every program I don't need, shut down dropbox, Google Chrome, and any program I can imagine slows down processing speed. I cleaned my desktop, made sure I have 20% space on the HD. Since I am always suspicious of the Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, I logged in with a different user name that does not use these programs. Nothing helps. I used Magician, Disk Utility, Activity monitor to see if anything looks odd, but all seems normal.
    I am not that Mac literate, so I just discovered the Console that seems to log error events. This is what the last 5 min look like; it tells me I had 4000 events logged yesterday. Is this normal?
    Please if anyone can advise what to check, change or do to stop this nuisance that would be awesome.
    Thank You!

    Basic guess:
    Under utilities you have to run the disk doctor to see what is wrong with either your hard drive or backup drive - stop time machine first & check the backup drive first as that is the one that may be damaged.
    Hopefully someone is online now who can post the details -
    Another option is to take it in for repair to apple store or authorized apple dealer (if on warrantee of any kind)

  • AE is grabbing an unimported file and playing it every other frame

    Ive been working on an illustrator comp in AE CS3 with no problems until i increased the project length past one frame. I interpreted the footage to loop so i could animate with it, only to find that AE is playing a file that i never once imported, every other frame. Its those colored tv bars with a black sign in the upper left with the name of a pdf file that was sitting in the same folder as my comp. Not only that but its playing extremely slow.
    I removed the offending pdf, created a new project and brought the original illustrator comp in to see if it would still appear and its gone, but now i have no way i getting my project back and no idea if this is going to happen again.

    Sounds like you may have imported the Illustrator document and the PDF as an image sequence, rather than as individual images.  Did they have sequential names?
    In your original (problematic) comp, replace the original file with the Illustrator document, but ensure the "Image Sequence" checkbox is not checked in the import dialog box.

  • HT1689 I have trouble when I am talking to someone and I have a another call coming in - I can answer the other call but in the process I loose the connection to the previous caller that I was talking to

    I have trouble when I am talking to someone and I have a nother call coming in - I can answer the call but when I want to go back to the original caller I get disconneted

    From the iPhone User Manual:
    Respond to a second incoming call:
    Ignore the call and send it to voicemail: Tap Ignore.
    Put the first call on hold and answer the new one: Tap Hold Call + Answer.
    End the first call and answer the new one: When using a GSM network, tap End Call + Answer. With a CDMA network, tap End Call and when the second call rings back, tap Answer, or drag the slider if the phone is locked. If you’re on a FaceTime video call, you can either end the video call and answer the incoming call, or decline the incoming call.
    Switch between calls: Tap Swap. The active call is put on hold. With CDMA, you can’t switch between calls if the second call was outgoing, but you can merge the calls. If you end the second call or the merged call, both calls are terminated.
    Merge calls: Tap Merge Calls. With CDMA, you can’t merge calls if the second call was incoming.
