Call baring

Hi
I have bought a nokia 5800 3 weeks ago.
I looked for the manner to (barring call) call (as I used it witn samsung) but I don't succeed.
I tried with
settings==> calling==> call barring==> incoming calls==>activate==>select==> barring pass word.
the problem that it asked me a barring password and I tried 0000 or 1234 or 1111 but the answer is all the time request non completed.
Please help me.

The call barring feature that you are using here is a network service which your service provider has to activate on your account and provide the password.
Call barring blocks certain types of calls, such as international calls etc., it is not usable to block individual numbers if that is what you are trying to do. Nokia phones haven't had this feature for many years as it was not widely used, but you can search for a 'blacklist' application to install on your 5800 to achieve this goal.

Hi Ersin,
Exception 1 would seem to be FORMATTING_ERROR, which suggests something in the design of the Smartform. However, that doesn't fit with the form being generated from a report, but only erroring when called from a function module. I can think of no reason why the different calling method would be a factor.
When FORMATTING_ERROR is raise it should also set a message ID and number, are you able to determine what they are?

Call baring and lan line calling

If you have free national LAN line calls then why call baring does not have an option so you can call LAN lines??

What phone service do you have? If it's Comcast's, it won't work with the 6121. You need an eMTA modem, or (shudder!) a gateway device that contains an eMTA modem. Other services like Vonage, Magic Jack, Ooma etc. should work.

you don't need extra software, you just need the password.
There is PIN, PIN2, PUK, PUK2 and Password.
To activate call-barring you need the Password. This you get from your provider but you can try 0000, 1111 or 1234.

Call baring/blocking settings.

I recently converted to BB Q10... i noticed many options usualy found on most BB devices were no longer there...the phone options is one of those. on previous models i was able to Block incoming phone calls while roaming and now i can't find this option/setting anywhere iver looked in every tab on the settings page. anyone have an idea of how this works on BB10 or if it even exist? please inform me ASAP I am roaming and it is killing me with roaming charges as you cna imagine. thank you in advance.

On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
Tap Settings > Network Connections > Mobile Network.
If the Mobile Network switch is off, set it to On.
Set the Network Selection Mode to Manual.
When your device finishes scanning for networks, tap a network.
Until later they update the feature in the next patch OS.

I can barely hear callers, bars frequently X-ed out, showing no Sim card

Just recently I can barely hear the caller on my Droid DNA. I have not damaged my phone in any way. Also it starts showing no SIM card. I will restart and then that will fix itself but the volume for the caller barely exists. My volume is turned up. I have no problem hearing ring tones, etc and people can hear me. Also my bars will sometimes just x out and I have to reboot again. I am sick of not being able to hear my callers. Help!!!!

A few things to try:
Remove the SIM and reseat it, then restart the phone.
Go to a Verizon store and have them replace the SIM with a new one (it's free)
Try a system cache clear (instructions below)
Set your preferred Network mode to LTE/CDMA
System cache clear:
Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously until you see the Boot Mode Selection Menu
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
Press volume up/down simultaneously to go into system recovery
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select

i have nolia c1-01 i want its call baring password and steps how to block any specific number? i tried codes like 0000 and 1234 but it dosnt work so plz tell me its call baring password

This information is only available from a service provider but not all service providers support call barring.
It looks like yours does not support this feature if they won't help you.

'All My Files' doesn't show all file types (e.g. .Zip)

Does anyone know how to make the 'All My Files' option in Finder display Zip files and Folders?
When I look at the search criteria, 'All My Files' seems to be only looking for 'Documents' and 'com.microsoft.'.

Hide Colored Labeled folders from 'All My Files' search criteria

Okay so I use my MBP (running Mac OS X 10.8.2) for both work and at home. I don't like my work files showing up in the "all my files" area (drives me crazy because i'm constantly using them at work so that's all it shows) and I am trying to figure out a way to hide them from the search criteria. I have labeled all my work files with a 'Green Label' and I was curious if there is a way to hide only the items marked with Green.
Any help would be nice.

I have been recieving a bogus sms from a rival cellular company requesting my IMEI no. Where can I find a downlaod to block recieving this?

Sorry to inform you, but on 6020 there is no way to block particular number from sending you SMS messages.
You can block incoming SMS messages with this code (this will set network barring for all SMSes):
Bar incoming SMS messages
Set: *35*barring code*16#[GREEN KEY]
Cancel: #35*barring code*16#[GREEN KEY]
where:
barring code is a 4 digit password used for call baring - supplied by the network operator.

Three - blocking sync settings

Hello, im with three video mobile and have noticed that the ovi settings are unable to be sent to my UK Three (H3G) handset, these are the settings to allow calender sync and also contacts sync.
After entering all the sync details manually from a working handset, the user name and password combination does not work with the sync (i used the un/pass from the ovi login).
Just wandering if there is another way round,
PS - the phone IS locked to 3g and i have tried another 3 simcard with no luck
also you cannot forward the settings from another phone (n80) nor use the built in 'transfer' utility to get the text messages between phones.
and yes im using the correct international phone dialling technique.
My handset is a n96 with the latest generic firmware

Problem: unable to recieve sync settings (not any new applications or anything, just the settings) via text message.
Solution: disable call baring and wait.
There is no installing going on here, its three doing another "the computer is gospel" thing (watch fonejacker), the software for ovi is pre installed to EVERY N SERIES (and E series) handset as its just the sync application (the same as you connecting to your computer and geting your contacts) with settings to sync over the air.
Tell three if using the phone to dial numbers voids the warranty, as that is using the phone's features as well.
Its false advertising in the EU (and the UK) for features for the handset to be listed but not provided on purchase. It lists OVI under the features on 3 branded my box (along with n-gage)!
I even got a OVI booklet in the sales package provided with my 3Locked n96 handset.
I provided this solution above as it is the one that worked for ME - tested, it is up to you to quibble the ins and outs of the actual use of the application with three.
One last point: they might not say they support ovi (As its using their network) but there is nothing stopping you using wifi.
and finally: did you know (remember this when its time for you to upgrade or buy with three) - if you set the date on your new handset, (even if you dont put a sim card in the handset) you have voided the return policy. it took me over 3 days to get my 'money back guarantee' with my handset as the only guarantee was you have to keep the handset and they will stop you from returning it.

I agreed and recieved my next statement and to my suprise my bill actually went up 15$ a month and i talked to several people and they all told me there is nothing that can be done to get back on the plan i was on and they can not even give me a discount to get me back to what i was paying. They can only offer me a convenience credit. I will be cancelling service.

If you look at the detailed billing online of your previous bill do you see any additional charges other then the plan?

Dear Deborah, I just received my latest iPhone, iPhone 4S and I am experiencing a similar problem. For a hard-of-hearing person this problem might be too much. I have not reset my new phone yet but I am going to do so soon. I will see what happens.
Another question: How about those ringtones? The iPhone seems to reset itself to the default ringtone constantly eventhough I have put individual ringtones to my contacts. Any ideas how to solve this one?

When I get phone calls I can barely hear. Has anyone had this problem? I turned up the volume.

I have a friend who bought the IPhone 6 and can barely her the person on the other end when they call. She turned the volume up. I can't think of what to do. Please help.
