Call barring code in Vietnam

I purchased an unlocked Nokia 5310 from a Nokia store in the Philippines. While i was there I also purchased a Globe SIN card with roaming so that I could use it on my trip in South East Asia. However now that I have arrived in Vietnam it will not let me make any calls (domestic or international). When I try to do so it says "active all barrings". I tried to cancel the call barri9ns with the default password 1234 but it says "request not completed". I visted a couple Nokia stores i\here in Veitnam and they said that only Vietnamese SIN cards will work in Vietnam. Does anybody know if this is true. Or if there is any way that I can fix this. I put quite a bit of money on it before I left the Philippines and I do not want it to go to waste.
Tahnk you,
Zia

Android is correct. We should check if roaming is supported in the countries one visits. As a solution buy local SIM and use it while in Vietnam

Is there anything that I did wrong or is it generally not working with CR4E to use a simple barcode font?
When I use ReportExportFormat.MSWord or ReportExportFormat.crystalReports it works fine but unfortunately
out customers insist on PDF. Any help would be appreciated very much.
The bar code  font I am using is from http://www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font/

I think there's issues with that Barcode TrueType font and Java.
You can try a Java app (such as the sample demo app that comes with Java) and try viewing that font.
You'd need to use a different barcode font.

  • Use of bar code value in apex

    Hi experts,
I am building an employee attendance system in apex.
When an employee enters or leave the office, the bar code reader captures the value (i.e employee id) based on the bar code sticker on employee i-card. So after getting the employee id, I want that value in first item on apex form.
Based on this value a function/procedure should be called which stores employee details (e.g. name, date, time etc) into the table without any manual interaction. Also the value of item should be null/clear after entry in table.
I tried it using windows hooks, but it is not working properly. (e.g. It doesn't fetch the value when computer is locked.)
Is it possible to fetch the value ( employee id) directly into the form item and at the same time insert the values in the database based on the employee id...???
This is just an general overview of how it want to be work. Please provide your valuable suggestions for any other way to implement the same.
    Thanks in advance
    Chetan

I assume you are just using a generic bar code reader that effectivly acts like a keyboard typing the relevant bar code value?
I really don't think APEX is the right environment to be doing this sort of thing in.
Unless I've misunderstood the hardware you are using though I really think you are going to struggle getting enything to happen when the machine is locked...

  • International Calls Barred

I am on holiday and have had the Samsung S5 for a few weeks without any problems.  I upgarded to the new EE tarrif with roaming minutes and texts as I travel a lot with work.  Having arrived on holiday I find I cannot make calls to uk numbers nor to 150 and am redirected to 1407 which is in Spanish only - wonderful idea EE.  After dumping 15euros into a public phone I am told to check the setting for Call Barring - Voice Call -  International calls to find it is enabled and EE cannot tell me th password but assured me we haved moved forward on the problem (without solving it)  - andother great service EE.  Can anyone who has experinved this help with the code to disable it please?  It is the same on my wife´s handeset where it  is enabled too.  Thanks in Advance

Sorted! Called EE again and spoke to Eileen who was very cheerful and determined to help me.  After she had a couple of conversations with level 2 all she had to do was reset the sim. She called me back after this had been done,  about 30 mins, I powered off then on and the tick simply disappeared.  So persistence is required,  actually seems to be a simple fix if you talk to the right person.  Seems to me that some training,  or at least a memo,  is required for the whole customer service team. Of course, this odd anamoly should not even be there,  but you don't know about it until it is too late,  but all EE customer services team should be aware and know what to do. Good luck!

  • Bar code for materials.

    Hi Friends,
Our client wants to maintain bar code for the vendor provided material no.s. For vendor materil no.s we are using the old material numbers.so please explain how to use thisbar code for goods reciept, issue etc...please reply....

    Hi Prasanna
A barcode solution consists of the following:
    - a barcode printer
    - a barcode reader
    - a mobile data collection application/program
A barcode label is a special symbology to represent human readable information such as a material number or batch number
    in machine readable format.
There are different symbologies for different applications and different industries. Luckily, you need not worry to much about that as the logistics supply chain has mostly standardized on 3 of 9 and 128 barcode symbologies - which all barcode readers support and which SAP support natively in it's printing protocols.
You can print barcodes from SAP by modifying an existing output form.
Behind every output form is a print program that collects all the data and then pass it to the form. The form contains the layout as well as the font, line and paragraph formats. These forms are designed using SAPScript (a very easy but frustratingly simplistic form format language) or SmartForms that is more of a graphical form design tool.
Barcodes are nothing more than a font definition and is part of the style sheet associated with a particular SAPScript form. The most important aspect is to place a parameter in the line of the form that points to the data element that you want to represent as barcode on the form, i.e. material number. Next you need to set the font for that parameter value to one of the supported barcode symbologies.
The next part of the equation can be a bit tricky as you will need to get a printer to print that barcode font. Regular laser printers does not normally print barcode fonts, only specialized industrial printers that is specifically designed to support that protocol and that uses specialized label media and heat transfer (resin) ribbon to create the sharp image required for barcodes.
Not to fear though, there are two ways to get around this:
    - You can have your IT department do some research -
most laser printers can accept a font cartridge/dimm chip (similar to computer memory), called a BarDIMM that will allow a laser printer to support the printing of barcodes.
    - Secondly, you can buy software that you can upload in your SAP print Server that will convert the barcode symbology as an image that will print on a regular laser printer. I found that this option results in less sharper barcodes. This option is really if you need to convert a large quantity of printers (>10) to support barcodes.
    - Thirdly, you can buy a third party software like Barcode.dll and install on your frontend PC connected to the laser printer.
Now you have a barcode printed - what next?
Well there are two options, depending on your business requirements:
    - You can use an existing SAP transaction on a regular workstation and get a barcode wedge reader to hook up between the keyboard and the PC. These wedge readers comes in a wand or scanner format. There are even wireless wedge scanners available that allows you to roam a few yards from the workstation to scan a label. This approach is mostly used where you want to prevent human errors in typing in long material, batch or serial numbers in receiving or issuing of material. The problem is that it's just replacing the keyboard input and you are basically locked down in one location and have to bring all the material to that location to process.
    - Another solution is to use SAPConsole transactions
or write your own ABAP Dialog programs that will fit onto a barcode enabled wireless handheld terminal and that will follow the business logic as executed on the shop floor.
These programs are highly complex exercises in industrial engineering and ergonomics because of the limited screen sizes and limited ability to accept keyboard input. The user is instructed step-by-step and only scan and push F-keys to interact with the SAP system. Scan, scan, beep, beep, enter - highly automated.

  • Bar codes in Smart Forms

    Hello,
Maybe anyone could provide short guidance how to create SmartForm for fixed assets barcode labeling?

    hi,
You need to use a SMARTSTYLE and create a CHAR format and create a BAR Code there and use it in the Smartform.
If you need more info, goto Transaction : SMARTSYLES, do an F4 and in the text area, look for Bar Codes. And see how these Styles are used in the Smartforms.
If somehow you can't preview it properly and the printout didn't show any barcode at all..
First try to use Standard Barcodes like TYPNR or RSNUM etc in the charcter format...
You can preview the output at any moment IF YOU USE THE CORRECT BARCODE FORMAT.
But printer should support barcode printing for taking printout. Otherwise in printout it will print junk values...
If you want to print bar codes from R/3 using device type HPLJ4, HPLJ5, HPLJ5SI or HPLJ4000 on HP LaserJet 4, 5, 6 or 4000 series printers, you need what is known as a SIMM module (IC card). This SIMM module is called "JetCAPS Intelligent Barcode SIMM" and can be obtained for most HP LaserJet 4, 5, 6 and Laser Jet 4000 printers. For more detailed information regarding barcode printers refer to Notes 5196, 121305, 119471
    Hope this helps.

Only Se71 is used to create a barcode
To Create a Bar code prefix:
    1) Go to T-code - SPAD -> Full Administration -> Click on Device Type -> Double click the device for which you wish to create the print control -> Click on Print Control tab ->Click on change mode -> Click the plus sign to add a row or prefix say SBP99 (Prefix must start with SBP) -> save you changes , it will ask for request -> create request and save
    2) Now when you go to SE73 if you enter SBP00 for you device it will add the newly created Prefix
Create a character format C1.Assign a barcode to the character format.Check the check box for the barcode.
The place where you are using the field value use like this
    <C1> &itab-field& </C1>.
You will get the field value in the form of barcode.

  • Bar code generation in payment transaction

    Hi!
When I generate a account payment order, the bar code didn't bring some informations: voucher value and matureness factor.
How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks, everybody!
    Cesar

    Hello,
    The regular process is:
    1- The Bank send us a file with all payment information;
    2- SAP receives that file by a Z-interface that calls the FB01 transaction;
    3- When I process the payments in the F110 transaction, some fields of the barcode were missing (amount and a value from brazilian legislation - expiration calculation factor);
    Can you help me, please?
    Tanks!

If you want to send some text as Body of the Mail then follow this once
when u r callin the FM'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'.. points to remember
1.u have to pass the body of content in table CONTENTS_TXT(ia m using I_OBJBIN) (each line a record) then. suppose i have appended 11 records to the table CONTENTS_TXT .
2.PACKING_LIST(iam usign I_OBJPACK) table u ahve to append a redord as follows
    I_OBJPACK-TRANSF_BIN = ' '.
    I_OBJPACK-HEAD_START = 000000000000001.
    I_OBJPACK-HEAD_NUM = 000000000000001.

    I_OBJPACK-BODY_NUM = 000000000000010.
    I_OBJPACK-DOC_TYPE = 'RAW'.
    append I_OBJPACK-.
by the above code system treat the first line in table I_OBJBIN as header and the 2nd line to 10 lines tread as body.

  • MPN Bar code scanning

    Hi All,
We do bar code scanning at the time of GR. We are planning to use HERS material type but the problem is HERS material type is not having EAN number field, please guide how to do this.
    Thanks and Regards
    Pavan

Most bar code readers have either an RS232 interface or are so-called 'wedge' devices which means they sit between a PC keyboard and the PC and insert characters from the barcode as if they had been typed. In both cases the decoding is done by the reader and all the user sees are ASCII strings.
If you need to extract the codes from video images, I suggest a good book on image processing nd the ISO spec. for the barcode in question.

  • Customized Bar Code Scanning

    Hi All,
Did any one use the 'Customized Bar Code Scanning’ for one-shot scan of multi-fields?
Can I populate any field in mobile screen by using the 'Customized Bar Code Scanning’ and ‘Java Call Out’?
    Best Regards,

  • Bar Code legibility on IPhone4

I used my 3GS to display a bar code that is read by airport check in kiosks and club memberships, etc. This was helpful as didn't need to carry along paper or club cards. To date, all of the scanners that I have tried to use with the IPhone4 will not read the bar code. How can this be rectified ?

wonder if the glass reflects too much. Soon Power Support will have their screen protectors out. I ordered one they call HD anti-glare. It's supposed to be anti-glare, but still not lose much resolution for HD displays.
