Call Barring - Mobiles

I have the Unlimited Anytime plan but wanted to bar calls to mobiles, but this isn't available as a stand alone option.  So my National calls that are inclusive of my plan are now also barred, why?????  Could the barring not be split down to national, international, mobiles and an all 3 option??? (International is available as a stand alone already!!)
It's a real pain in the bottom because I now can't call family around the country!

If you're not paying for it then you don't have the type you can bar mobile calls.
BT have a thing call Admin Controlled Barring, it is free but only BT can turn it on and off. With this you can have;
1. International Calls Barred
2. Premium Rate Service Calls Barred
3. International & Premium Rate Service Calls Barred
I think there is an all calls barred option but can't remember.
To stop people calling mobiles you would have to rent Call Barring, when I worked for BT it was £2.50 a month, may have gone up since then. Thing with this barring is you can switch it on or off when you want and choose what you want to bar. You would be given a four digit pin number with it in order to take it off when, if you wanted to dial a mobile or international number.

  • Calling Australian mobile numbers

What Skype plans allow me to call australian mobile phones.   I will be calling from both Australia and overseas.  My old pay asyou go plan seemed to allow this.   I recently got a 'premium' plan. It does not appear to allow me to call Australian mobile phones.   Please confirm that pay as you go is the only way to call australian mobile phones.   If that is the case can you have two plans on one skpe name -say a pay as you go and a 'premium' and have it work so that the 'premium' time would be deducted if possible and the pay as you go would only be consumed if the call could not be made under the 'premium' plan.  Otherwise I will just have to have two skype names , one under premium and one under pay as you go.
I must say I find the information on what are the call restrictions on the various plans is not easy to find.

Where does it state it is allowed?
The roaming page says what it cost if you are in Bosnia not if you call a mobile there. On the Calling abroad from the UK page (not roaming page). Scroll down to the "Standard call rates", expand it and see Zone 5.
I've been in similar situation when was unable to place a call to Latvia for a week or so (actually, calls to different numbers in Latvia from different operators). I've been on the phone with EE every day, and noone was able to find out what's wrong (starting from standard "reboot your phone" etc to level 3 tech). Only at the end of the week one of the CSR found out that calls to Latvia were barred acros whole network without any notice/info/reason. Long story short - accepted £61.50 compensation.

  • My video freezes when calling to mobile

I've discovered the pattern that every time I have a video call between my Windows 7 laptop and a mobile phone on the other side, my video freezes after a few seconds (the other party only sees the last frame/photo then on their mobile, whereas I see the video stream normally).
Is this some weird "feature"? Is there any way to fix it?
Video-calls between mobiles as well as between computers work fine.

Have they done the Quicktime setting ?
It should match his and your download speeds respectively for best results.
When in a chat Open the Connection Doctor from the Video menu and tells us if the incoming Video bar has dropped to zero.
This will mean that the other end is not sending properly (Or does not have the conection speed to do so)
Both of yopu should also check iChat > Preferences > Video section > Bandwidth Limit drop down. This should be set to NONE

  • Reset call barring password in bb curve 8520

HI i  have the bb curve 8520. Cant enable the call barring feature because i forgot the password. After a couple of unsuccessful tries it gave out "General error" as a result. How do i reset the call barring password?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    HI PBT2014,
Sorry to hear you're having an issue with Call Barring.
This is a carrier controlled feature so it's advised you ring your mobile network provider to assist with the password reset if you are unable to recall the current password.
    Thanks!

  • Call barring - A Ridiculous option, Mr Buckley - C...

My phone package is unlimited local and national calls - anytime.
I wanted to barr premium rate and mobile calls, and on the advice of "Customer Services"  I started to pay an additional £3 per month for call barring.
I now find out that it bars the free national calls that are in my package - WHERE IS THE LOGIC IN THAT.
Over the 2 months I have been with BT, I have had one decent phone call with them.
    Left hand and right hand.
I asked for assistance on email, and told it was free - phone them, and it wasnt. problem still not solved.
They took a direct debit withour notifying me - even though customer servces ensureed me 4 times nothing would be taken until another date - 1.5 hours later I was given a £10 gesture !!!
Even though it breaches banking rules.
If I could return the equipment and swap without cost I would.
I will not recommend them, in fact I will proactively say how **bleep** I have found them, and I am a very tolerant person normally.
I believe that they havent yet delivered on the service I expect for the price I am paying - others are cheaper and seem to offer better service and options
SORT YOU ACT OUT BT !!

I have the same problem also. I have got the execute file by "
    cc a.c -o a.out.
but when I run this file,It returned :Segmentation Fault-Core
dumped. I don't know where the problem bring on earth.I am very
urgent. If you have the answer,I hope you bring me some messages.

  • Call Barring for elderly confused relative

My Aunt for whom I am her main help has run up hundreds of punds of calls to the speaking clock 123. I have registered her account for call barring but cannot see a way of barring that number without barring virtually all outgoing calls. She needs to be able to call her friends and family so is there a way of barring 123.
Strangely it seems possible on a Broadband talk line.

She does not need a computer, you can set the call barring options from your own computer via a web page.
It seems a bit like using a sledge hammer to crack a nut, just to solve a simple problem.
It really depends on how large a bill she is running up. If she keeps dialling 123, the bill could run to many hundreds of pounds.
You would have to make sure that the phone was plugged into the back of the home hub, to make sure that calls were routed over Broadband talk.
You could always restrict the main phone line to 999 calls only using your existing barring options on you main line.
Did you try the option to bar premium numbers, to see if it stopped 123?
Why not just get her a mobile phone on a cheap contract, you cannot dial the speaking clock on a mobile

A Verizon-model iPad can only work on CDMA with Verizon. You cannot use it with any other carrier. Apple, to my knowledge, has not released the iPad in Yemen, so there is no iPad you can use with any carrier there that works only on CDMA. You would need to find a GSM carrier and then get an unlocked GSM iPad.

  • Unified Mobility, no audio on Send call to Mobile Phone

I'm using UCM 9.1 with Unified Mobility (xfer to alternate number) with good success if I follow a typical call flow:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Rings deskphone x seconds -> Rings mobile phone -> Answer mobile phone -> hangup -> Resume call on desk phone.
But if I pick up a call on my desk phone, and use the Mobility button to xfer a call to my mobile phone I get no audio:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Pickup desk phone -> Mobility soft button, 'Send call to Mobile Phone' -> Answer mobile phone, no audio -> Hang up mobile phone -> Resume call on desk phone (two-way audio).
Device wise the call flow is:
ITSP SIP trunk -> CUBE -> CUCM -> 7965 IP Phone.
Recently I reconfigured CUCM to use the CUBE for any MTP resources instead of the software option and I think I may have missed something.
    CUBE config:

Not sure where to start troubleshooting this problem, any help is appreciated.
    Steve

Thanks for the help gents. I couldn't get to this until we're out of office hours on the weekend.
Interestingly, I have no mid-call option in my dial-peers. This is a 2951 running 15.2(4)M2.
I double checked the MRGL, my phone is associated with it.
Codec is G711 on ITSP side, and on phones - I'm not sure I fully understand the use cases for MTP, this is something I need to research more.
I've included two ccsip message debugs, the first one is the existing issue of no audio (in either direction).
The second I've changed the midcall-signaling passthru option, dropping the media-change bit and we get audio in both directions for mobility except we use Unity call handlers for IVR functionality, and now when an inbound caller is forwarded to an extension we get no audio - obviously this is a game stopper.
In Unity I have the port group configured as SCCP - Maybe I should be using SIP instead?
    No Audio:
    voice service voip
    sip
      midcall-signaling passthru media-change
      early-offer forced
      no call service stop
      registration passthrough

  • Can anyone tell me how to fix this error I am receiving: LabView: File not found. VI "Mobile Display.vi" was stopped at unknown " " at a call to "Mobile Display.vi"?

Can someone help me please? I am receiving this error everytime I attempt to execute my application:
LabView: File not found. The file might have been moved or deleted, or the file path might be incorrectly formated for the operating system. For example, use \ as path separators on Windows, : on Mac OS, and / on Linux. Verify that the path is correct using the command prompt or file explorer.

We cannot help without additional information:
    Are you running your code
    ...in the development system?
    ...as a standalone application?
    ...deployed to an embedded target?
If it is a built application, do you explicitly include dynamically called VIs in the build specification?
Who wrote the program? Do you have access to the code?
How is this VI called? Is there sufficient error handling?
Do you manipulate paths as strings or as proper path datatypes with the strip path/build path primitives etc.?
Is it running on the same OS used to develop it ...

Call bar is now vertical on the right side of screen. How do I get it back on the bottom? I've tried rebooting and changing screens but it won't change. I can't find a setting for that call bar.

This isn't a native setting that I can find Relsea. Did you download an application that maybe has this function? Any luck if you reboot the phone by pulling out the battery?
Please let us know what happens next.
    Thanks,

I am on holiday and have had the Samsung S5 for a few weeks without any problems.  I upgarded to the new EE tarrif with roaming minutes and texts as I travel a lot with work.  Having arrived on holiday I find I cannot make calls to uk numbers nor to 150 and am redirected to 1407 which is in Spanish only - wonderful idea EE.  After dumping 15euros into a public phone I am told to check the setting for Call Barring - Voice Call -  International calls to find it is enabled and EE cannot tell me th password but assured me we haved moved forward on the problem (without solving it)  - andother great service EE.  Can anyone who has experinved this help with the code to disable it please?  It is the same on my wife´s handeset where it  is enabled too.  Thanks in Advance

Sorted! Called EE again and spoke to Eileen who was very cheerful and determined to help me.  After she had a couple of conversations with level 2 all she had to do was reset the sim. She called me back after this had been done,  about 30 mins, I powered off then on and the tick simply disappeared.  So persistence is required,  actually seems to be a simple fix if you talk to the right person.  Seems to me that some training,  or at least a memo,  is required for the whole customer service team. Of course, this odd anamoly should not even be there,  but you don't know about it until it is too late,  but all EE customer services team should be aware and know what to do. Good luck!

  • Call barring option is missing

    Hi every one!
I have the following issue with my blackberry, I can find the call barring option on the phone. I havedownloaded the phone manual and did exactly what it says, but still cant find it. I have found all the other options like call forwarding and call waiting, but call barring is missing.
Any ideas how to solve this issue?
    many Thanks

    Xandrex,
I do not have that option in the 8330:
    I have:
    General options
    Call logging
    Smart Dialing
    TTY
    Enhanced Audio
    Sounds
    Hearing aid mode
Once again we do not have matching options!
Moqnes: If you do not have Xandrex's options you can get your carrier to block the number. I also have a third party app
that is FREE, called ICALLMANAGER from software labs. It will filter calls and blacklist numbers on your device. The link is here:

Please let me know if this helps!

When can I expect the phone to be opperatible for incoming calls with my ported phone number?

Sorry this isn't a live chat room.  This is a user to user technical forum.  Not all questions will be replied to promptly.
the issue your having is a carrier issue, you will need to call T-mobile to resolve your issue.
