Call Barring

Where can I locate my call barring settings on the Lumia 920 as I am unable to make calls... And its frustrating... Please help...

Call and SMS blocking is part of Nokia Black firmware through the call+sms app. Requires a WP8.x device obviously

        This isn't a native setting that I can find Relsea. Did you download an application that maybe has this function? Any luck if you reboot the phone by pulling out the battery?

  • International Calls Barred

    I am on holiday and have had the Samsung S5 for a few weeks without any problems.  I upgarded to the new EE tarrif with roaming minutes and texts as I travel a lot with work.  Having arrived on holiday I find I cannot make calls to uk numbers nor to 150 and am redirected to 1407 which is in Spanish only - wonderful idea EE.  After dumping 15euros into a public phone I am told to check the setting for Call Barring - Voice Call -  International calls to find it is enabled and EE cannot tell me th password but assured me we haved moved forward on the problem (without solving it)  - andother great service EE.  Can anyone who has experinved this help with the code to disable it please?  It is the same on my wife´s handeset where it  is enabled too.  Thanks in Advance

     Sorted! Called EE again and spoke to Eileen who was very cheerful and determined to help me.  After she had a couple of conversations with level 2 all she had to do was reset the sim. She called me back after this had been done,  about 30 mins, I powered off then on and the tick simply disappeared.  So persistence is required,  actually seems to be a simple fix if you talk to the right person.  Seems to me that some training,  or at least a memo,  is required for the whole customer service team. Of course, this odd anamoly should not even be there,  but you don't know about it until it is too late,  but all EE customer services team should be aware and know what to do. Good luck!

    i currently joined with optus mobile and i cant call out with my blackberry, everytime i call i get this message "SIM: CALL BARRED", i can still receive call and sms......
    it is weird because when i put the sim into a different phone...it is working fine..(i can call and receive call)
    and when i put a different sim into my blackberry...it also work fine (can call and receive call)
    i called up optus and everything is activated and eveything is smooth!
    can any1 help me out please?!?!

    Hi, I know your problem was a long time ago but I have the same problem now adn cannot find the solution anywhere. Looking at the number of times people have 'viewed' your subject (935 times) it is obviously a common problem with optus sim, but the solution is a mystery. Can you help????? How did you get your phone working with optus sim???

  • Call barring option is missing

    Hi every one!
    I have the following issue with my blackberry, I can find the call barring option on the phone. I havedownloaded the phone manual and did exactly what it says, but still cant find it. I have found all the other options like call forwarding and call waiting, but call barring is missing.
    Any ideas how to solve this issue?

    Smart Dialing
    TTY
    Enhanced Audio
    Sounds
    Hearing aid mode
    Once again we do not have matching options!
    Moqnes: If you do not have Xandrex's options you can get your carrier to block the number. I also have a third party app
    that is FREE, called ICALLMANAGER from software labs. It will filter calls and blacklist numbers on your device. The link is here:

  • Problem with call barring password

    I have a 3310 which I bought secondhand, it works perfectly except it won't recognise the call barring password. I called my service provider Vodafone who gave me the default password but that doesn't work. The previous owner had used the phone on Orange as well as Vodafone, what should I do? Thanks, Richard

  • Deactivate call barring on Nokia Lumia 920?

    Hello,
    I have recently experienced an issue when trying to call to another country, and the message I get on my 920 is that I need first to de-activate my call barring. I was trying to do that, yet I can not find this option.
    Is this problem related to the network provider (Virgin France) or to the phone itself?

    You need to call your network provider and ask them to enable roaming on your account. On virgin UK you have to do that before you can use the phone outside of the UK so it's possible that Virgin France has the same policy.

  • 6110 Navi call barring

    I now have a problem with call barring. I live in Canada, my service provider told me there is no password for call barring, but 6110 has no option to use empty password. Does anyone know how to use blank password to set call barring?

    Hi MNT, obviously a delicate situation for you i'm sure.
     Looks like you can block the number as stated by Keith above
    Trying to take this into consideration and the steps i presume you have tried to
    counter your issue i would assume that you have some understanding as to why she feels the urge to do this which could be several reasons personal to you and your family. Depending on those, you could look at introducing something like a talking clock next to her phone and encourage her to use this instead. I have just done a quick search and spotted the site below but as i said it depends on the circumstances involved.

    I have just put a call barring (outgoing calls )on my phone. Do I have to go through the whole star. hash pin rigamarole every time I want to unblock the phone? or can I just add the pin before or after the number I want.

    Sorry to hear you're having an issue with Call Barring.
    This is a carrier controlled feature so it's advised you ring your mobile network provider to assist with the password reset if you are unable to recall the current password.

    This information is only available from a service provider but not all service providers support call barring.
    It looks like yours does not support this feature if they won't help you.

  • Cannot turn off call barring

    Hi we have had call barring on our line now for a couple of weeks. We have needed to use the phone a few times before to call barred numbers, so we type in the #342*----# and we would get an automated message telling us call barring had been removed and we would proceed to make our phone call.
    The last week or so when we dial in the code to remove the barring all we hear is a tone, no automated message. and the calls are still barred when we try and dial them. Infact the tone we hear is the same as the one we hear when we try to dial a barred number. Also when we dial in the number to activate the call barring *342# we hear the tone and no automated message like we would do even if call barring was already activated. When dialling *#34# to check the status of call barring we hear the automated message telling us it is switched on not a tone.
    I have searched the forums to see if there are any similar problems but could not find one.
