Call blocking doesn't work

      I keep getting phone calls from {edited for privacy} the caller ID says Washington. They claim to be a pharmacy trying to sell Viagra and pain medications. I get between 2 to 4 calls per day and told them on numerous times.
      I added the number to my digital call blocking account and the calls still come thru. I contacted Verizon support and their answer was that the call blocking feature doesn't block long distance calls!!!! What kind of B.S. answer is that???
      If Verizon is going to offer a service than it should work, regardless if the call is local or long distance. If it'll only work for local calls than these digital FIOS features are WORTHLESS,,

Did you place your number on the Federal Do Not Call list? If so, file a case and make some money off them. If not, what are you waiting for? You did not state if the incoming number was actually a domestic phone number or from an area code / country code outside of the United States.
Additionally, next time they call, note the exact day and time, ask for the call back number, company name,the operator's name or identification number, and then very specifically state "I do not wish to receive these calls from your company. Place me immediately on your DO NOT CALL list and do not call again. Future calls will be referred to the appropriate authorities for legal action. Do you understand and acknowledge receipt of this directive?"
After that, keep good records and file a complaint as appropriate.

I seem to have multiple problems related or unrelated. I cannot use Apple Mail for blueyonder and mostly for gmail as both show that the server is off line. My pop up blocker doesn't work and I am blitzed with pop up windows on nearly every command

Firstly I am unable to use Apple mail except for hotmail, for blueyonder, gmail or Sky as the server shows as (off line) and I have no idea how to get them on line even though I tell them to go there.
My pop up blocker doesn't work and I am blitzed with advertising windows virtually on ever command I make, one seems to be impossible to unsubscribe from.
When I am in an email with a web link the web link doesn't work and I get a window saying that I must have a pop up blocker, but if I switch it off it is no different, what does work is switching the "enable Java script off", then when I get to the web site I can't use it until I switch the java script back on.
I can't do a screen shot either full or partial, when I try it changes the web site that is on screen to another.
So what have I done that might have caused problems, downloading Yosemite seemed to be the start of the problems. Since then I have started to install Mackeeper, after checking with a family members who should know, that MacPaw is safe. I decided that I didn't want to pay the subscription, so went through the uninstall instructions but it comes up as a pop up with considerable regularity.
My stress levels have gone through the roof with pop ups happening so regularly and not being able to use Apple mail.o can anyone help please?

I set up the "Issue tracker" tutorial to get in tuch with the apex (htmldb vers. 2.0)
All is working well but: Return the User to the Calling Page -> doesn't work. I performed all steps as descriped in the tutorial (iclusive the '.' on the &P7_PREV_PAGE ;-) ).
I use my own aplication at home and followed all the instruction steps few times but it does not work. Can you help me please?
Do I have to install something more?
In the Branch section: * 1: Go To Page &P7_PREV_PAGE. (Unconditional)
In the Item section: 90: P7_PREV_PAGE Hidden
In the Button section for cancel Button: &P7_PREV_PAGE.
Here is the description of the function in the tutorial:
Because this Create/Edit page will be called from several places, when users finish with the display they should return to the calling page. To accomplish this, you create an item and change the branch on this page. Every time this page is called, the item must be set with the number of the calling page.
To create a hidden item:
1. Under Items, click the Create icon.
2. For Select Item Type, select Hidden and click Next.
3. For Display Position and Name:
1. For Item Name, enter:
P7_PREV_PAGE
2. For Region, select Issue Identification.
3. Click Next.
4.
Click Create Item.
Next, edit the Cancel button.
5. Under Buttons, select Cancel.
6. Scroll down to Optional URL Redirect.

I haven't looked at that tutorial for quite a while but just gave it a quick look.
Further down in the tutorial, it directs you to set the value of P7_PREV_PAGE, under Add Functionality to Support Adding Multiple Issues Sequentially - have you done that? There is also a mention that there is more branching to be done - "The branch you just created is looking for a value in P7_PREV_PAGE. Since the page was not called from another page, the value has not been set. You need to fix that next." It goes on to have you define that value from other places.
Can you describe what you are doing when you get the error? There could be something missing from the tutorial. A way around it would be to create a default value for P7_PREV_PAGE so that if it is not set, a default page will be used.

Using *77 to set 'anonymous' or 'unknown' call blocking is not working

Per instructions from Verizon, I used *77 to turn on anonymous call blocking last night. I dialed *77, and got a voice telling me that I have enabled anonymous call blocking.
However, it's NOT working. When I call home from my office, it shows up in caller ID as "unavailable"; shouldn't a call that is identified as 'unavailable' be blocked with this service? Does anyone understand why this would be the case? Are all 'unavailable calls' the same?

Unavavailable/unknown calls and anonymous/private calls are two different things. Anonymous calls are calls from someone who has chosen to block their telephone number from being displayed on your caller ID screen. This means the caller has dialed *67 before dialing your phone number (or they have what is called line blocking where all their outgoing caller id info is automatically blocked without them having to dial *67 before every call). *77 is used to block anonymous/private calls and force the caller to allow their caller id info to come through to your phone in order for the call to complete.
Unavailable/unknown calls are calls in which no caller id information has been sent. These are generally from collection agencies or telemarketers. *77 will not block these calls in any way. The only services which will block or screen these calls are Call Intercept or Do Not Disturb.

I go to call list and go to use the search function
No results, but scrolling the call list and wasting a lot of time, I see that I was remembering correctly that number.

Toggling these items to OFF in the Hub settings prevents the messages from these sources from appearing in the main Hub view. This does not (currently) remove them from the Hub entirely. It's possible we may see that option in an upcoming OS release.

Caller ID doesn't work in IOS7 on new Iphone 5s. Apple have told me there is no fix!

Caller ID does not work in my new Iphone 5s. It has never worked, IOS is completely up to date. Calls just come through as numbers regardless of whether the caller is in my contacts.
I have tried a factory reset and restore but no change. A call into my carrier was no help and they put me on to Apple who said that there was no fix. I am on the Three network in the UK.
I was told to change the language and then change back and that this would help but it didn't and the result was that my predictive messaging started completing words in French despite having been changed back to English. This was resolved with a factory reset but still no caller ID.
I've also had a problem with highlighting emails to delete but the tick box won't stay highlighted (although this is a little off topic).
Any help would be appreciated.

Check to see if in Settings > General > Restrictions and if Restrictions is turned on, look at the Require Password section and see if it is set to Immediately. If it is, then that will be what causes Touch ID to not be used when making purchases and would need to be set to a different time. Check out the article below for more information to make sure you are setup.

CUSTOM ROW FETCH USING PLSQL BLOCK DOESN'T WORK

I'm using Apex 3.0, and I'm trying to use a anonymous block to populate page items instead of automatic row fetch. Apparently the block works fine but the page doesn't display the items with the values that I fetched.
I'm using something like:

Does anyone have a clue ? The process is defined to run on "OnLoad - After header", but I've tried other options, but the results are the same: P10_name appears blank.

But there is a catch.....on the item definition, the "SOURCE USED" must be set to "Only when current value in session is null", otherwise, it doesn't show what you want.

IOS 7 bug call block is not working in CANADA

I found a bug in iOS 7, It is not blocking call at all. I tried blocking call here in canada i didn't work while i tested samething in INDIA, its working.
No one is talking about this and no one is replying to the thread if i'm posting to. How can i report this to apple developing team?
If any other people have tried in CANADA, and its working please share here....

I can confirm this bug.
Not sure if this info is relevant, but this is my experience:
I am on the FIDO network, and so are two other people I know.
We all tried blocking numbers, and calls ring right through. Text messages are blocked successfully. (never tried facetime)
I also tried a ROGERS device running IOS7, and was successfully able to block my phone call from ringing through. HOWEVER, my call was forwarded to their voicemail, I was able to leave a voicemail for the person, and they did get an alert that they had a new voicemail.
I have not yet had a chance to test this on Bell, Telus, or any other carriers.
Spoke to Apple, and they advised me to do a hard reset (hold both buttons to shut off and reboot the phone), and if that fails to do an iOS restore.
I have yet to try this, but hopefully someone will have a better solution.

Why my scroll bar of a data block doesn't work?

I have a data block that displays a maximum of 9 records at one time. When the query returns more than 9 records i want to use a vertical scroll bar to navigate to the last records.
In some forms it works fine but in others not , i still didn't find why ??

Rather than trying to find a needle in a hay stack, I would recommend taking a step backward. This will help to rule out whether the issue is something you caused or if there is an issue with the environment or product.
Create a new module in the Builder. Do not add any of your own code.
In the Builder, connect to a database (File > Connect).
From the Builder menu, select Tools > Data Block Wizard
In the Wizard first screen (after Welcome), select Table or View then click Next
On the next screen, click on Browse to display the tables available to you. Choose one.
All the columns in that table should appear on the left. Click on the double arrow (>>) to select all of them. Then click on Next
Click on Next again
Choose the option to create the data block then open the Layout Wizard. Then click Finish
In the Layout Wizard, click on Next (after the Welcome scree) to choose the default Canvas. Then click on Next
Click on the double arrow (>>) to choose all columns. Then click Next
Click Next again.
Choose Tabular as the layout style. Click on Next
Change Records Displayed to 4 and check the box labeled "Display scroll bar".
Click on Finish
Again, do not make any changes to anything in this form. Run it. Does it reproduce the same problem you experience in your previous form? If this form works correctly, likely the issue is in the design of your other form. If this test form fails in the same manner then you are either exposing a defect or there is an odd configuration issue.

Pop up blocker doesn't work

Since upgrading to 10.7 the safari pop-up blocker no longer blocks pop ups!
I've run software update regularly and obviously checked that pop-up blocker is checked in the security preferences.
What is wrong?
The most common pop up is googleads.g.doubleclick.net.... and it pops up as frequently as once per minute as a new (active) tab. Twice in the time it's taken me to write this question!!
Please help as applecare doesn't seem to be valid for expresslane in Sweden.

I had a similar problem on unsafe web sites with Safari...The google AdSense is not so pop up proof as it seams.
The best thing is to use another navigator as Opera which really blocks the pop ups on nearly all the web sites.
I keep using safari for its reader option that i suppose will soon be on Firefox as it's the best that new Safari has for a long time ago!

Call conference doesn't work on IPhone 4

I fixed my powerbutton easily with some
water repellent oil. I dont know what its called, it is that thing you use for locks and hinges anyway. My iphone powerbutton has been working for like 7 months now. There is no difference from when it was new! I can really recomend this. Just remember to turn of the phone and have it upside down when you spray. And dont use to much! Theres no need for more than a few drops.

That's usually beacuse the phone was hacked/jailbroken. Was it?
