Call break during link failover in voice over ip

when i established a call from one location to another locaion, during link change call break for about 14 seconds, but in ping after one second route is changeing

To troubleshoot problems with voice networks, you must follow the call both inside the router and outside on the network in order to isolate the problem. You must understand the relationship of dial peers and call legs to follow the calls.
You can isolate where a problem is occurring by determining which dial peer or call leg is having the problem, as described in the below URL:

  • Voice calls breaking up on EDGE with iphone and AT&T

When I am on a voice call using the iPhone on EDGE the callers voice often breaks up. This also happens when I dial voicemail and listen to messages.
This is my first time using AT&T. Is this normal for AT&T's EDGE network or is this possibly a problem with my iPhone. This happens even if I have full bars on EDGE. I've tried resetting the phone as new and getting a new sim card and updating the firmware but voices still break up. Has anyone else experienced this?

I got a replacement iphone and the problem with voice calls breaking up persists. I have no idea what the problem is since there are so many variables and I don't have all the information. I just know that I never had this sort of problem in the 9 years I was on Verizon with any phone. I really enjoy this device for everything besides the phone functionality. It would be cool if I could just pay for data on this phone without the voice so I could get a Verizon phone for voice and keep the iphone for data but I know that would never happen. Well, I still have a couple weeks to figure out what I'm going to do.

  • How to prevent voice over saying the caller number or name automatically in iphone?

hi, i'm a new member of apple world,
i'm using voice over in my iphone 5s, when i receive a call, voice over automatically say the calling number or name with the ring tone, how can i set
voice over to prevent it saying the caller number or name ??

Same problem, which is extremely inconvenient because I like to use my earphones to listen to Pandora while I work. Not every time, but most of the time I plug in my earphones, the iPod software starts playing the last song that was played. Stopping the music via iPod or pressing the Home button for 10 seconds to force quit iPod doesn't stop the music as it will just automatically start playing again. Sometimes if I'm lucky, plugging the earphones in very quickly avoids this problem -- but like I said, it's a cross my fingers and hope I get lucky kind of thing.
I'm using the newer 3G model, which I've had for only about a month. I did not have this problem with my old 2G iPhone.
Someone in another thread said it's a hardware fault and suggested exchanging the phone for a new one. Can anyone confirm this?

  • How to prevent voice over saying the calling number ?

i'm using voice over in my iphone 5s, when i receive a call, voice over autamatically say the calling number or name with the ring tone, how can i set voice over to prevent it saying the caller number or name ?

It appears to be working as Apple intended. The manual says:
    Moving recordings to your computer
You can sync voice memos with the iTunes library on your computer, and listen to them on your
computer or sync them with another iPod touch or iPhone.
When you delete a synced voice memo from iTunes, it stays on the device where it was recorded,
but it’s deleted from any other iPod touch or iPhone you synced. If you delete a synced voice
memo on iPod touch, it’s copied back to iPod touch the next time you sync with iTunes, but you
can’t sync that copy back to iTunes a second time.
Sync voice memos with iTunes. Connect iPod touch to your computer. Then in iTunes, select
iPod touch. Select Music at the top of the screen, select Sync Music, select “Include voice memos,”
    then click Apply.
Voice memos synced from iPod touch to your computer appear in the Music list and in the Voice
Memos playlist in iTunes. Voice memos synced from your computer appear in the Voice Memos
app on iPod touch (but not in the Music app).
What yo can do is code the Voice Memos on the computer as something besides Voice Memos (Right click>Select Get Info>go to Option tap and change under Media Kind). When yo change it it will move the VM to the library for that kind e.g., Music if you coded it as Music)

  • Nano 6th gen- voice over during songs

I have a nano 6th gen and during songs the music will fade and a voice over will interrupt and name the song and artist then will start skipping through the song. It will then repeat the name and artist then start listing the folders I have set up in Itunes. I have tried turning the ipod on and off but the problem is persistant. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? The ipod was bought new, not refurbished and isn't more than 1 1/2 yrs old.

I can't help you, but you are not alone!!
The same thing happens to me. .its been doing ti for a month now
    So annoying!
No idea why its happening or how to fix it

  • HT201274 My new iPad (2) had a message that the iOS called Voice Over was running, everything locked up then went black and now it will not power up. I have plugged it into a power supply & still won't work. Any ideas?

My iPad2 has a message that iOS called Voice Over was running, tap three times to turn off. Nothing will respond, it finally turned black and now iPad won't turn on at all. Any ideas?

Thanks so much but none of that helped.  It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive.  I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!
Thank you for your help and replying to this.  Guess I made my own issue!

  • Problem with Decklink card during voice over

    Hi,
i have PMG5 2.5 GHz with FCS & Blackmagic Decklink extreme card.
all these days i had a great time working on FCP . till i faced a peculiar problem
when i am capturing video from Beta or DV 50 , i am able to select video Only or Audio only , or Video & Audio .
but when iam trying to capture Audio Only option through the the Mic which is connected to the mixer, i am not able to capture audio.
even i have noticed one more strange thing, i have tried Voice Over tool in FCP 5.04 with Decklinik card and i am not able to grab any audio through the Decklink card.
but i can use built in audio for my voiceover.
has anybody come across this kind of problem,
    can somebody help me .

    Hi Rajendra,
your questions is marked as solved, but I haven't seen your question answered, so I might be wasting time. Anyway.
I bumped into the same problem not long ago. I'm using a Multibridge, but the problem and solution are the same. Here's the reply I got from Kristian Lam over at Blackmagic:
In order to get vo tool in Final Cut Pro HD to work, these are the
    steps to follow:
    1) Video Input in Blackmagic DeckLink preferences is set to match the audio input type. For example, if you're recording via the XLR connectors of your card, then then 'Inputs' under 'DeckLink Video Connections' must set to analog. It doesn't matter if it's component or composite analog video.
    2) In the View menu of Final Cut Pro HD, set External Video to “Off”. When finished with the Voice Over tool, set External Video to “All Frames” to use the broadcast monitor.
    3) You must have a stable video signal going into the card when using the vo tool or Final Cut Pro HD will not see the audio. (or use a Blackburst generator)
    4) Use the Displays menu to set the DeckLink desktop to the same format as the video source, eg. NTSC 720 x 486.
Well, then select your Decklink Card in the Voiceover Input selection. Even after I had done all that, I couldn't see any audio coming into FCP. The solution to that was to raise the Trim at the top of the mixer. I got a nice signal into the Mackie and voilà also sound into FCP.
    Hope this helps,
    Colin

  • Voice over is silent during playback

I recorded voice over, it appeared in it's purple window with the level visible, but when I played back, the sound was silent - oddly, it reduced the other tracks to 15%, I could hear the other tracks (music, etc.), but not the voice over.

Try exporting all of your audio from the project using Compressor's Audio Format > AIFF 48/16. Listen it to and see if everything is there.
If so, Duplicate your final Sequence and delete all the audio. Then pull the .aiff into the timeline and re-export using Compressor to whatever you want.
    Hope that works <smile>

  • How can I remove high-pitched distortion from voice-over?

    Hi folks,
I'm completely new to fixing audio. I am making a short film, and for a voice-over, I recently had to do an interview over the phone (the subject lives in a very remote location). Actually, I used GoToMeeting, we called into the conference call feature from our phones, and I recorded the meeting into a wmv file. Then I re-encoded it using Expression Encoder so I could pull it into Adobe Audition.
I am attaching a short phrase (extracted as a .wav file) from the interview in the hope that someone can tell me how to improve the quality of the sound. I have Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition, both CS6 and CC versions.
Short voice recording - Creative COW
    1. Can anyone tell me, please, how to get rid of the high-pitched "ringing" kind of distortion that we hear on each of her loudest syllables? Also, does this particular type of distortion have a name? I kept finding articles on fixing sound, but wasn't sure what I'm dealing with here, so I wasn't sure which techniques were likely to work. Tried a bunch, and the overall sound got better, but so far nothing has fixed that high-pitched distortion.
    2. After getting rid of that ringing distortion, what are your recommendations for making the voice recording sound as rich, smooth and full as possible? In real life, this woman has a BEAUTIFUL, rich voice. But the recording sounds like a flat telephone call (because it is).
    Thanks in advance,
    Mary

Well, I don't think there's any miracles to be had here.  As you say, it's a telephone call and I fear that, since phone lines filter out anything above about 4k, there's no way of replacing it.
I had a look at your file in spectral view and you can clearly see the original material going, as expected, up to about 4 kilohertz--but, above that, there's a generalised area of noise.  My suspicion--and it's only a suspicion--is that during your double conversions (to wmv then through a third party app to something else) one of them has added the extra noise as it your original was full bandwidth.
Anyhow, best I could do was use the Marquee tool in Spectral View, draw a rectangle around the upper area (you can see a clear boundary between the programme content and the random extra frequencies) then just delete everything above just over 4 khz then delete.
As for making a phone call sound full and rich, if there was a way to do it, when I was working in TV we could have saved hundreds of thousands a year by using phones instead of far more expensive circuits!

  • Final Cut Express Voice Over

The voice over function on FCE 4.01 seems to work sometimes and not others (in the same sequence). when it doesn't work the window comes up and the count down occurs but nothing is recorded.
I haven't worked with FCE in a while and am getting back up to speed with the new version. My mic is fine- I have fiddled with all the obvious settings and can't figure out what is going on- any guidance would be appreciated- it is driving me crazy.

The Patch Panel is Final Cut talk for destination controls in the Timeline. This is the ability for FCE to direct a certain edit to arrive in a certain place in the Timeline that the user controls as opposed to the "what happened then" scenario.
The Patch Panel is to the right of the Timeline. Each Track has a name. Audio is called A1, A2 etc. Video is called V1, V2 etc.
On a default or new Timeline you kick off with 2 video and 4 audio tracks.
Note that A1 and A2 have additional tabs connected to them called a1 and a2, click on them and watch them break apart, click again to re-join.
If any tab on the Patch Panel is broken apart you cannot edit to that track. This allows the user to control if _audio only_ or _video only_ is sent to the timeline, and importantly, where it arrives. You can also drag a1 or a2 to any vacant audio track to insert a Voice Over. If nothing is selected or there are no spare tracks existing, the VO will automatically create a (New) track.
I'd suggest placing a unique name for each VO in the Name: field so you can locate a specific one later on.
As mentioned, look in the Target Field of the VO Tool to know where it's going before you start the VO.
If you can't do a VO eg. playhead is at the end of the Timeline, *No Recording Range Set* appears. Overide this by entering in/out points wherever you like.
Hope this blurb steers you in the right direction.

  • I use Garageband 09 to record voice overs via podcasting, female narrator noisy, but keep getting an intermittent clicking sound. It's not the metronome. I have a good quality external USB mic plugged in. Any ideas?

I use GarageBand 09 to record voice overs via the Podcasting then Female Narrator Noisy utility. I have a good quality external mic plugged in. I keep getting an intermittent clicking sound on the audio track. It's not the metronome as that is turned off. I have to edit out the clicking after recording. I can see the spikes on the waveline. Any ideas how I can prevent this happening?

Hi again and thanks so much for replying.
The 'mic jack' on the old mic is both wide and large, measuring about an inch and a quarter from the base (where it comes out of the black encasing) to the edge of the tip (sort of cone shaped). As I can't plug this in directly to any port in the back of the Mac, I thought it might be possible to to buy some sort of adapter so that I could plug in the jack at one end, with a USB connector at the other end to go straight into the Mac. But I see from your comment that you are suggesting a smaller jack itself (i.e., large size jack to small size jack and then plug in to the small round port, instead of jack to USB port)?
At the Mac shop I bought a USB adapter to connect up a second monitor (screen). I've just dug out the package and it's called a mini display port to VGA adapter. But back to the mic issue, I don't want to use the old mic really, I'm just trying to eliminate whether or not my usual mic, or its USB cable, is at fault and causing the clicking.
I looked on Amazon for a suitable adapter but there was mention of these little gadgets having a sound card. As the Mac obviously has its own internal sound card, I couldn't see the point of another (exernal) one, unless it was actually required to convert the sound from input to output (playback) or something. One review said sound quality was lost but the person had a problem with his speakers, not a ticking sound while playing back recordings - which is obviously my problem.
I do have a headset that I used to use for Skype. It has a pink and a green jack. I could plug one into the "headphones symbol' port and try recording again with Garageband. At least the jack is the right size. Again, this is just for the purpose of eliminating whether my good mic on a stand with the anti-popping sheild is at fault.
While my Mac does have both inbuilt speakers (I don't need external ones) and an inbuilt microphone, the latter is not of a high enough quality for voice overs, hence buying an external mic etc. But whatever is causing the clicking or ticking is obviously affecting the quality of my recordings. As you can imagine, it is very time-consuming to edit out the ticking spikes and if the noise appears during speech, you can't edit it out at all.
Please keep the suggestions coming. I am determined to get to the bottom of this for my sake and everyone else who is suffering from the same problem!
