Call divert showing in standby mode but i have dea...

I have deactivated the call diverts on my C5 but the icon is still showing on home screen.  Does anyone know how to get it off?

    I decided to try to do two things this morning to resolve this privacy problem. The first is, I restored my wife;s phone from itunes--in spite of the fact that the Apple tech at the Genius Bar in Tampa said that reloading the firmware is not the problem and it must be Ford. This took about 15 minutes to download, restore and verify. One must resist the temptation to disconnect the phone because I had a popup by the system tray ( I'm using Win7) that said I can now use the phone but itunes was still doing stuff so I just let it do it's thing until it (itunes)  told me to use the phone.  Went down to the car and my privacy issue is resolved.
    I also went to syncmyride to download the version checker. A word of advice this does not work well if at all on google Chrome. I went to Explorer and it worked fine. I was on a chat line about a week ago and was told that google Chrome will work with syncmyride.com. So much for their knowledge.

    When I call using my skype online number, caller id shows the correct number but also displays someone elses name.  How can I remove the name? 

    I have the same problem. Although I have my Caller ID set to show my Skype Number businesses tell me they're seeing area code 559 with a random/different last 4 digits each time. I just went through an account verification with a vendor and it was impossible to get them to verify - kept telling me I need to be calling from the number they have on file.
    Come on Microsoft. There's no way to actually get support (for a paid product no less), let alone see anyone participating in support (hic) forums to resolve countless issues that others are reporting.

    If that doesn't work, and you by chance have at least one gmail account, you might actually have unread emails in a folder other than the Inbox.

    When you say you have none, are you sure that you are viewing "All Inboxes"? If not, try going back (top left option) until you see that option. If there are no new messages in "All Inboxes" then the messages might be in folders or smart folders.
    Folders/Smartfolders
    If you have sorting rules set up on your Mac's Mail app, then these "new" messages are in those folders. These messages will not show up in "All Inboxes." This might be what is happening. To find out, open up each folder/smartfolder on your Mac and see if there are new messages in them because iOS devices (iPod/iPhone/iPad) will not sort mail like your Mac.

  • Style changes show in Design mode but not in Live View or online.

    I'm using CS5. I modified a style sheet and the changes showed up in Design mode just the way I wanted them. I switched to Live View and they did not show up.   • Lightroom is in trial mode, but I have purchased a subscription.

    Creative Cloud (oh why oh why do they have this???) says I am in trial mode.  When I log onto the web account, it shows that a subscription has been purchased.  Lightroom wont work properly as it says it is in trial mode. Any help?  That is in simple english and doesnt involve 40 steps, especially when it is not due to my incompetence!!!

  • Profile manager shows only one profile but I have two profiles located in the same place and I want to change

    I have had a Firefox crash and uninstalled then reinstalled three times. For some reason Mozbackup won't back up my files. In checking profiles, I have two profiles with different names and both marked default, located in the same place. I would like to use the old profile but the profile manager only shows one profile.
    How can I get to use the old profile?

    Chris - thank you so much for trying to help. Your suggestion is actually what I tried the first time. And my calendar doesn't sync or syncs blank (since I've never tried to sync a calendar, I am not sure which). Troubleshooting that is what led me to the other FAQ on syncing a calendar.
    I saw a few threads that discussed that it seemed to be a problem with the new iPod software . . . and that the problem may lie with recurring appointments. If thats truly the case, then I'll probably have to quit trying. At least a third of my appointments are recurring ones!

    I signed in to my Adobe account and looked at setting up sharing with mobile option then realised that my trial had expired and now its rest so that when i enter LR its counting down the 30 days, currently 25 days. As i first mentioned when i enter my serial number, the one i received from the [email protected] says its invalid.

  • Swirly disc showing up really frequently, but I have 137.71 GB available memory out of 249.72....???

    It's a MacBook 10.6.8.

    Surely that's enough memory?  Or is it the 2GB of RAM that's doing it?  I think the 2 GB is what the computer came with (I'm borrowing my Mum's computer), & she hadn't had the same problem with frequent hangs.....
    The swirly-disc hang happens in spurts, & doesn't seem to be connected to the number of tabs or apps I have open, as it can happen with only one tab open...
    Sometimes there's a significant lag between the cursor or tabs going unresponsive & the arrival of the swirly-disc.  It also seems to be worse the longer the computer is running, although if I'm running it all day, it may switch from responsive to the swirly-disc with no significant change in the number of tabs or apps to trigger a change....
    I've removed some adware from the libraries, which helped a tiny bit, but there wasn't much to remove (so far).  I've run Sophos multiple times, & it comes up with bupkus.
    Final note:  it happens whether I'm working on the Web or via installed apps (although it really gets cranky with LibreOffice).
    Any ideas?

  • Cannot get a wi fi signal after turning on wi fi in settings. settings is showing linskys as on but I have no signal on ipod

    I am trying to set up a Wi Fi signal on a ipod with no luck. I have gone to setting, turned on Wi Fi which is Linskys and is working correctly here at home but get no signal on the ipod even thourh i can see it is looking for a signal. Linskys is not password protected at this point. I am not positive about the operating system just guessing and airplane is off.

    Here's some info for iPads. Most may apply to iPods also.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app

        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
