Call, FaceTime & Text Blocking

I have a question about the blocking feature.
I would like to know what the blocked person sees or hears when they attempt to contact you.
Do they get a message informing them they've been blocked?
Do they think they are getting through but there is no response?
What happens on their end?

If I block a number . What response does that party get if they call or text my number?

The call/message simply won't go through. If iMessage, it will show as delivered, but it actually won't be delivered.

Hi i recently bought a used iphone 4 on orange in the uk and although everything seems to be working fine it will not send or receive calls and texts or connect to the internet, its like its been blocked, i have spent time resseting it with apple

i bought the phone from someone who lives in my village, there is no error code, when apple did a diagnostic on the phone they said it was running perfect. when you say carrier locked what exactly do you mean as i put a brand new orange sim in the phone and everything seems fine but the sim dosnt seem to activate so i tried it in my unlocked 4s and i got missed calls and txt's that id sent to it while it was in the 4, when i try ring it in the 4 it says sorry calls are currently not being connected to this number then goes to orange answerphone

does anyone know what Verizon message is seen by the owner of a number who has attempted calling and /or texting but have been placed on call/text block. And is there a way find out if these blocked numbers have attempted to contact you

Unwanted calls can be very frustating! There is not a way to see if a blocked number has tried to call or message you. If the blocked number is a VZW customer, they will see a red X in the sent folder with status failed notification. Followed by "Delivery failed. Invalid destination or service blocked at destination". They will also receives a text message alert - "You cannot send messages to destinations that are blocked by the account owner." If a block non VZW customers attempts to send you a message, they will see a green check mark with a "Message Sent" notification but message not delivered to your line.
Addtionally if a block VZW or non VZW number attempts to call you: Call does not go through. The blocked line hears an audio alert " The number that you have dialed has calling restrictions that have prevented the completion of this call. I am confident this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

When I try to Text/Call/FaceTime it never goes through.

To use regular text or phone calls, you don't need to be connected to wi-fi. For FaceTime, if it's supported by your carrier, you shouldn't need wi-fi for that on an iPhone 4S either.
So, sounds like you need to do some troubleshooting.

If your call has been blocked you will receive a message, "The number you are dialing has calling restrictions that have been prevented the completion of this call." The blocking of calls and text messages is a carrier function. Contact your cell phone carrier to see if they offer this service. There are no iPhone apps that will block phone calls or text messages. If your carrier doesn't provide call or text message blocking is to assign a silent ringtone to the numbers you want blocked and ignore them.

I can't call or text a certain person and he can't call or text me

We both are Verizon customers and both of us have the iPhone 4s. We were able to call and text each other for 3 weeks with no issues and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, we stopped receiving each others calls and texts and even voice mails. It has caused so much anger and confusion between us. He thought I was ignoring him and I thought he was ignoring me. I have no issues with any of my other contacts. I don't get it. How can this be fixed? I have spent hours online looking for an answer but have had no luck. I called Verizon and they were of no help. They just had me go through all the things I have already tried. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm losing my mind here!

The same thing is happening to me. Yesterday it started, and I had no way of knowing what was going on until I connected with my girlfriend on Facebook to figure out that we had been texting each other for two days and none of the texts were going through. She is on a Sprint Galaxy S phone and I'm on a Verizon iPhone 4. Texts I send to her do not arrive. Texts she sends to me do not arrive. How to call two data blocks at a time.

i want to call two data blocks at a time on function when button pressed.

I am working in oracle form developer 6i and database 10g.
I have a form that have three data blocks,
first block have text boxes and search button,and next two blocks display records on the basis of search criteria that is inserted in the first block and when is clicked on save button.
the data that is to b displayed is from two different tables.
i used Go_block('my_block')
and call other block with the same method.
kindly guide me how can i do it.

Using cl_gui_textedit, text blocks always display prior document.

We have two containers and we're using two instances of cl_gui_textedit.
On the first call to the text screen, we see the two texts that we should see.
The user saves the data and backs out to the selection screen, which contains an ALV display of documents.
The user selects the next document to process. During initialization, we attempt the FREE destructor but it does not destroy the text editor ref to cl_gui_textedit. We can initialize with clear and free as ABAP statement. Upon entry to the PBO, we can see that we have forcibly cleared the ref to cl_gui_textedit. It's 0: INITIAL for both text editors. We watch the table being built and the internal tables contain the correct text. After our set read_only true or false, we get a beep, and then arrive at our text screen without any error message.
What is on the screen at that point will be the texts from the prior document. We've tried inserting lifetime parameters for our custom container. We've tried CALL METHOD cl_gui_cfw=>flush (which appears to always be necessary in PAI when we get the unprotected portion and the indices, etc.). Neither of these alter the behavior of the screen and the erroneous content of the text editor blocks.
Question: is there a method or something that anyone can suggest to "force" the text blocks to contain the data that was in the table, rather than the data that was in the table for the prior transaction?

Did you try calling the method DELETE_TEXT of the CL_GUI_TEXTEDIT before setting up the next text.
This is how I get rid of the existing text:
* Delete the Text
me->o_editor->delete_text( ).
* Set the new text
me->o_editor->set_textstream( EXPORTING text = iv_text ).

Text block as image -- should I care?

It was pointed out to me that most of the text on my site is an image, rather than lines of text. All of the text on my site was typed onto the site into text blocks, and none of it was cut and pasted. I did use Garamond for the font.
A few threads have covered this topic, which I have read.
Two of those blocks of text-as-image are on my home page and the text in those blocks appears in Google (on the listing of the site on the first "search result" -- or whatever it is called -- page).
Doesn't this mean that the text in those "text-as-image blocks" (sorry for all the quote marks, but I don't know the real names of these things) are indeed searchable by google, even if they are images rather than lines of text?
I have tried cutting and pasting the text into TextEdit and then repasting the text back but that didn't solve the problem.
So:
1. Does any of this really matter to the search engines and the ability of people to find text on my pages? Or for some weird reason does the home page act differently than the other pages?
2. Does anyone have a consistent solution to this problem?
3. Is this something that Apple may think significant enough to have already fixed for the next version -- which I hope is out in a couple of months?
But mainly, should I even care?

No and no. It sounds like your page is already coming up in the search results...graphic or text? It doesn't matter.

Again, I doubt that Apple sees it as a problem. iWeb converts text into an image for a reason.... your happiness. Most people would probably want to have a webpage that looks the way it is supposed to look (the way they want it to look). Most people probably don't care about text converted to image as long as it looks the way they expect it to look. This is why iWeb does the text to graphic conversion....to ensure uniform and consistent rendering of the text on the page. I think many, many more people would be upset if iWeb allowed them to put different fonts and text effects on a page and then left it up to a browser to determine how those fonts and effects were to be rendered.
But mainly, should I even care?
I think in the grand scheme of things, you shouldn't care. But that's just my humble opinion.
