Call from my number reported as Reported Site of S...

I was talking to a new person, distant relative last night via Skype phone
She sent me an email this morning that the call came from a known  source of Scams.
She is likely nervous and may not respond to me going forward, will see,
I asked her to report it and ask them to call me to see if this can be resolved.
How do I report the issue to Skype?
thanks

Hi, WGS47, and welcome to the Community,
If you reside in the USA, I am almost willing to bet that your Caller ID started with a number with area code 661.  If this is the case, this message board has several threads or topics describing this scenario.
Here's a sample ...

  • Why is someone is receiving calls from my number when I'm not ringing them?

The person who keeps getting these calls has my number blocked and I don't have her number any more. She's receiving FaceTime audio calls from my number at all times of the day. Anyone know how this could happen and how I can make it stop? Thanks.

I'm using same icloud and same apple ID on two iphones. Now i get calls from same number on both iphones at the same time. How to turn off that?

Apple ID's are not device specific, so when you changed it on the iPad 2 it changed it on the iPhone 4 as well, since it's the same account still. What you need to do is create a second Apple ID (so you'll have two accounts, one for iPhone 4 and a seperate one for iPad 2).
To create a new Apple ID on your iPad 2:
    1) Go into Settings > Store.
    2) If you are already signed in, tap your Apple ID on the screen and you will be given a few options, one of which is to sign out of your account.
    3) After you sign out, now click the "Sign in" button.
    4) Tap "Create New Apple ID" and follow the instructions on-screen.

  • I can't reject call from this number : 00 000000000

    Hi,
Can someone help me with this ?
I've got an iPhone 4S with a french mobile phone operator.
Twice a day, I receive a call from this number : 00 000000000 (only zeros).
I can't reject the call, and there is never a message left on my voicemail.
My phone operator told me not to answer those calls, as they might be a fraud attempt.
They also told me it is impossible for them to block incoming calls on iPhones.
Can someone help me with this, even give me only information ?
    Thanks.

and shot) m same number if not done anything, the screen is locked.

Ok, well I had the network support guy down, when I mentioned an "OD Server" he went into Directory Access and put some details in that seem to have fixed the problem! So thanks for that...
Unfortunately, it looks like some of the other machines in the room might need binding, but at least the network team is aware of it.
Whereabouts would I look for ARD crash logs on the affected iMac? I tried locking/unlocking the screen again after the other issue was fixed and had the same problem. Its almost instant - as soon as you hit "lock" the status immediately switches to "ARD Not Active".

Also try searching for apps that can do this. Never heard of it before but there should be one around.

  • I just receive a call from the number 316.

I just receive a call from the number 316, ...... that was it, I answered, but nothing on the other line. I did a quick check to see if it was some type of message from Verizon, but nothing.
And with the number being only 316. I'm concerned about possible hacking.
Has anyone have any knowledge about this?

I know it can be concerning when you receive a call from an unknown number phoenix911. Here's what we recommend to prevent this. I'm sorry our control is limited as to the origination of this call or its ownership.

  • HT201229 HI, i already blocked a number, unfortunately i rcvd a call from that number today ( i didnt anwer though ) ) and it didnt  registered in my call history. why is that?

Hi! I already blocked a number, unfortunately i recieved a call from that number just now ( though i didnt answer it) i checked my call history but that number wasnt registered in my call registry. why can it still contact you if u have already blocked it? pls help! thanks!

Hi.  I checked on the order and it says the order is currently being processed and I should check back tomorrow. I'm mostly just concerned because I got an email saying the order was on hold, and I want to make sure it actually does go through and I'm not just waiting for a delivery that's not going to come. I'm still confused as to why I'd get an email saying I had to call the fraud department only to be told I shouldn't have called the fraud department.

  • How to eliminate an instance of "entering a sequence call" from the teststand report

I am using TestStand 4.2 and I am using a long sequence with several sub-sequences.  In these subsequences I am getting test results that I would like to place in the TestStand report.  Currently, in order to do this I have to check the "Record Result" option in the "Run Options" of the sequence call properties which displays an "Entering sequence call" mark on the report.  Is there any way that I can get rid of this marker and still record information from the sub sequence?

  • Is there any way to block calls from "blocked number"

I would like to be able to block calls from numbers that show up in my caller ID as "Blocked".  I dont really care who they are I want them to share their number or I dont' want them to call. Is there anyway to do this? I am not talking about the restricted numbers just the ones that people have chosen to block. They can all do the *## and unblock their number when they call my phone if they really want me to answer it!

Nothing annoys me more than receiving a blocked call, barnmother! The good news is that we have an option to prevent these calls from reaching your phone. Usage Controls will allow you to block unwanted calls and much more. Select the link for details...https://wbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/nos/safeguards/SafeguardProductDetails.action?productName=usagecontrols I hope this helps! Have a great weekend!

  • Blocking Texts but allow phone calls from specific number?

I have done some research but have not found what I'm looking for.
I would like to be able to block a specific number from sending me text messages but I would still like to be able to receive phone calls from them.  It seems to be a unique situation.  I'm not sure if it is something Verizon can handle or if it's available in a third party App?  Thanks for any info you can provide.  I have an HTC Droid Incredible if that matters.

I know that the free number blocking offered by Verizon Wireless will block both calls and texts from the blocked numbers.
There might be something in the Play Store, but I'm not aware of any specific applications.

  • Incoming Calls from Skype number delayed by 4-5 rings

This seems to be an issue that many have, and I am trying to find a solution. Recently got a Skype online number for local Sydney, Australia. When I do a test call to the number my iPhone does not start ringing for a good 4-5 rings. Add the time to unlock phone and answer from the alert message on screen and most people will hang up. Even if my iPhone is unlocked and the Skype app open on screen it still takes the 4-5 rings. Is there any way to reduce this time? Thanks

This morning I woke up thinking that I should turn off my iPhone and then call it from a land line.  If the problem is the network then there would be a delay before I heard ringing.
I turned my iPhone off and called it.  Right away I heard my message.
I turned my iPhone back on and called it.  It rang right away!
So, did Virgin Mobile fix the problem or did turning my iPhone off fix the problem?
I don't know, but I'll take either.  I do know that Virgin Mobile said it would be four days to check the problem.  Did the problem get fixed yesterday when the four business days were up.  I do know that I've had my iPhone on for a long, long time.  Did upgrading to 6.1.1 or 6.1.2 cause the problem and turning my iPhone off reset my iPhone?
If you have delayed ringing problem and turning your iPhone off and on again resolved it, please post a note here.
P.S. I did call Virgin Mobile and its records show the investigation is still open.  I hope my points get passed on to the investigators.
P.P.S. Reading my notes, I had turned my iPhone off and on last week.  Maybe it's all the phase of the moon.

  • Scam call from 070 number

Recieved a call today from this number 07054501367 to my BT landline. The person using a prerecorded message said "hello can you hear me, can you hear me" the line disconnected. Im guessing they expected me to return the call which I didn't thankfully. Googling the number using prefixes of 070 shows the number carries a premium rate call charge from both mobiles and landlines. Please be aware

Welcome to the forum. 070 numbers are bad news, from scammers to rip-off phones at hospital bedsides. It's a mystery why the code was allowed as a premium number when it can so easily mistaken for a regular mobile number.

  • I can receive texts but not calls from one number

My wife can send me text messgaes but I cannot receive calls from her. She can hear the dialling tone on her phone when she rings me but I don't get anything, not even a missed call message afterwards. We have both done factory resets on our phones and nothing has changed. We both have iphone 5s. Any ideas much appreciated??

Quick update here as I got the problem resolved yesterday after talking to the technical department at O2. After my intiial post yesterday I actually discovered that I wasn't receiving any calls from any numbers (not only my wife)! The problem lay with the TuGo app I had installed on my phone which I hadn't used in ages but was still signed in. The person in O2 technical got me to redownload the app and then delete my account. My phone immediately began working as normal and I can receive all my calls. He mentioned that there was a known issue with this app and O2 were working on a fix for it currently. Thanks for your help.

  • Switched from Blackberrry to iphone.  I can't highlight phone numbers in contact notes and make calls from that number, how do I make a phone number "live" ?

How do I make email addresses and phone numbers in the notes section of contacts, "live"?  I could run curser over number in Blackberry and could intiate call or email by clicking on it.  I have some of those "live", but most are not.  How can I change to "live"?

If I go to my notes app ( not a note in a contact) and I add a phone number and tap done the number becomes live.  However if I then copy the live number from the notes app and try and paste it into the notes field in a contact it is no longer live.  Weird huh
