Call in progress?

My Tour says I have a "call in progress" and will not let me disconnect or place another call.  Turning the phone off for 5 min and turning it back on does not correct the problem.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Battery pull, use earlier os, perhaps have someone call you.

  • Calls in Progress

    For real time (or near real time) reporting is it possible to capture the status of calls that have not been completed?  Is there any way of reporting on calls in progress?

    Hi
    I don't believe so, not without looking at CTI to monitor the phones...
    UCCX just keeps basic 'talking' count stats etc in rtcsqssummary tables...
    The detail is written to the historical tables shortly after the call is closed.

  • Cant join calls in progress.

    Since i got skype for desktop i have not been able to join group calls in progress at all and sometimes i cant even recieve calls when im not on do not disturb. this is really frustrateing how do i fix this

    I'm not aware of anything in CUCM that natively tells you what calls are in progress across the cluster.
    If you're up for some programming, you might be able to (ab)use the external call control profile feature to at least record in real-time call setups. (Although this won't tell you when a call ends)

        tfoxx,
    We want to make sure that everythig is working on the device without any kind of issues. When did you notice that the dial pad went away once a phone call is made or received? Do you have a screen protector on the phone that covers the sensors on the device? Please keep us posted.

  • Abnormal # of calls in progress

    Hi!
    I'm new to CallManager but I'm monitoring the network late-night, and I'm noticing the number of calls in progress is weird. Right now, at 3:30am, there are 74 supposed calls in progress. There is no way this could be true since during the day there are only about 115 calls in progress at any time.
    It's like these are left over from the day's activity. Any hints on what is going on here? What are these 74 phantom calls? How can I clear them?
    I'm running call manager 3.2

    Timeouts? Good idea. I checked and they seem ok.
    So what I decided to do was stop and restart the CCM process at 4am.
    That put an abrupt end to all the phantom calls. System has been running properly since.
    I wonder what it was... maybe, late at night, the CallManager was merely dreaming....

  • Call in progress when one CUCM go down

    Hi everybody
    We have two CUCM 8.6 and we need to poweroff one of these to change a parts in the UCS server. I know that the phone who's registered with the one I will power off will just "blink" and change to the other CUCM. But I don't know if the phone registered with the one I will power off, if they had a call in progress, did the call will be dropped or will stay in progress?
    The answer will guide me to fix a maintenance Windows if it need to be.
    Thanks

    Hi There,
    The calls should be maintained

    Cisco Unified Communications Manager fails.
    A Cisco Unified  Communications Manager failure causes the call-processing function for  all calls that were set up through the failed Cisco Unified  Communications Manager to be lost.
    The affected devices recognize that their current Cisco Unified  Communications Manager failed. Similarly, the other Cisco Unified  Communications Managers in the cluster detect the Cisco Unified  Communications Manager failure.
    Cisco Unified Communications Manager maintains affected active calls  until the end user hangs up or until the devices can determine that the  media connection has been released. Users cannot invoke any  call-processing features for calls that are maintained as a result of  this failure.
    Communication failure occurs between Cisco Unified Communications Manager and device.
    When  communication fails between a device and the Cisco Unified  Communications Manager that controls it, the device recognizes the  failure and maintains active connections. The Cisco Unified  Communications Manager recognizes the communication failure and clears  call-processing entities that are associated with calls in the device  where communication was lost.
    The Cisco Unified Communications Managers still maintain control of the  surviving devices that are associated with the affected calls. Cisco  Unified Communications Manager maintains affected active calls until the  end user hangs up or until the devices can determine that the media  connection has been released. Users cannot invoke any call-processing  features for calls that are maintained as a result of this failure.

    When a device  fails, the connections that exist through the device stop streaming  media. The active Cisco Unified Communications Manager recognizes the  device failure and clears call-processing entities that are associated  with calls in the failed device.
    The Cisco Unified Communications Managers maintain control of the  surviving devices that are associated with the affected calls. Cisco  Unified Communications Manager maintains the active connections (calls)  that are associated with the surviving devices until the surviving end  users hang up or until the surviving devices can determine that the  media connection has been released.

  • Is there any way to keep the charge indicator bar onscreen in the lock screen in IOS7? And can I keep the call in progress screen up instead of going to wallpaper while a call is dialing?

    IOS6 had a charge indicator bar on the lock screen that allowed me to see at a gance how much charge I had. Now it only flashes onscreen when I first connect the charger for about 1-2 seconds. I know the icon in the top right shows percentage, but it is too small to get an accurate look.
    Also, when a call is in the progress of dialing my phone just shows the wall paper instead of the whole call control screen. I can hit the home button then hit the return to call bar at the top of the screen to get the control screen, but that is annoying to say the least. If I accidentally dial a number while navigating my contacts or one of the apps it takes several steps to cancell the call before completion.
    I know my wallpaper may be pretty, but I don't need to see it while trying to use the phone instead of having control of the phone or seeing desired information (charge indicator).

    I have a similar issue. Sound works okay but keep getting the app not optimized, you may experience a decrease in celluar strength. Verizon says it is a software issue. Apple says it is a hardware. Phone will niot synch to itunes to do any kind of reset.

  • CVI DLL target project needs to let caller update progress

    I'm still thinking about this old topic of mine.
    If I ever get around to packaging my low-level project into a DLL, other host projects that use it won't necessarily be CVI.  So my DLL can't have upward CVI dependencies to let the caller know status of DLL function looping.
    I've looked briefly into multithreading with pointers, but it seems to me that this would be machine/processor dependent.  I can't really use PostDeferredCall because of the CVI dependencies back up in the caller.
    Should I simply increment an index in my loop and output that from the function by reference?  Something like this:
    int DLLSTDCALL myFunction (int* progress)
    double stuff;
    // worker loop
    for (int i=0; i<1000; i++)
    stuff = rand();
    *progress = i;
    return;
    And then just leave it up to the framework caller to handle the progress pointer in a multi-threaded fashion?

    meh, it'll all work out.
    I did some testing with multi-threading and it works pretty well to get visibility of real-time status.
    I decided to leave it up to the client platform to deal with threads on their own if they want this visibility of a DLL function.

  • Closing N91 slider disconnects call in progress

    Hi. I've had this problem for some time, but now that I'm using the phone more frequently it's starting to get annoying.
    Whenever I try to close the slider on the N91 when in a call, the call gets disconnected. However, due to the way the N91 is shaped, having the slider open, even just enough so that it doesn't cut the call, makes it awkward to hold in my hand, and besides most of the calls I make do not require that I have access to the dialpad.
    Does anyone know if there is either a setting to stop the phone cutting the call whenever the slider is closed, or whether this was fixed in a firmware update or something?
    My N91 is a UK model, branded O2 but unlocked.
    Thanks.

    I even tried turning it all the way off and waiting. I'm new to this so if you think you can help, please use simply (newbie) language.
    Oh, and this started after the handset was in my purse, so perhaps a random button got pushed by accident?

  • Is there a CUCM API which can be used to see what calls are in progress?

    Hello All,
    I am trying to build a basic monitoring application which will display a list of calls in progress along with endpoint information such as IP address etc
    Is there a CUCM API which can be used to see what calls are in progress?
    Thanks
    Matt

    Matt,
    It looks like another person had a similar question before, see the following thread:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/9697836/can-use-axl-or-other-api-get-calls-progress
    Also, according to the comments seen on that post, I was able to find the JTAPI developers guide, see more information below:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/jtapi_dev/8_6_1/jtapidevguide/overview.html
    If this still does not satisfy your question then, the best you can do is post this inquiry on the Cisco Developer Network on the following link:

    Hope this information helps,

  • External and internal mikes are not automatically switching over either recording or on voice calls

    My laptop model name is HP Pavilion dv4-1100ea which is shipped with Vista Home premium 32 bits and has got service pack 1.
    Restored the laptop to factory setting since then I am having the following problems; I had the same problem when my laptop was brand new and whenever I reset the laptop to factory setting I get the following problems:
    1. External and internal mikes are not automatically switching over either in middle of the recording using sound recorder or while the call in progress on voice calls (skype):
       Using the sound recorder if I start recording the sound with external  mike  and in-between  recording if I  switchover from external mike to inbuilt mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound  up till where I used the external mike during recording, after the switchover to inbuilt mike I cant hear any sound.
       But if I start the recording with inbuilt mike and in between recording  if I plug in  the external mike and later on when I play back I can only hear the sound up till where I used the inbuilt mike during recording , after the switchover to external mike I cant hear any sound.
       So in brief both my external and internal mikes are working fine, only problem is that if I start recording (using sound recorder) or voice call with one specific mike, I have to continue with it till the end. I can’t switchover to another mike in between the conversation (voice call) or recording, if I do so, I have to select the mike manually in chat software but while recording I cant even select manually because in laptop, it takes the mike whichever is in current use as default mike in recording tab(sound window). The green tick automatically (in recording device tab) switches over according to the use of mike. Though the green tick in the recording tab is switching over automatically according to use of mikes, its not picking up the sound after switch over during recording.
    2. And also when I click on recording device tab in sound window and plug in external mike, though the green tick automatically switchovers from internal to external mike, while I speak both internal and external mikes volume meter respond to the sound inputs by rising and falling but if I take out external mike, green tick goes to internal mike and when I speak only internal mike volume meter respond to sound rising up and down not the external mike.
    To resolve the issue I have tried following steps with no luck:
    1.I have checked the mikes(internal and external) properties, the both mike shows to be enabled in general tab, in level tab the volume is set to 100 and in advanced tab , all options are selected.
    2. In device manager I have got only one audio driver named as “IDT High definition Audio CODEC”. I have uninstalled the audio driver and reinstalled it using scan for hardware option
    3. Uninstalled the audio driver in device manager and reinstalled the audio driver using recovery manager > advanced option> hardware driver re-installation.
    3. I have updated the BIOS(Insyde F.65, 12/02/2010).
    4. I tried to update the audio driver using below link but things went more worse so I did system restore (not factory setting though).

    Sounds like you need to upgrade to the iPhone 5s
    The 5s has Touch ID
    You can unlock your phone with your finger instead of typing in a key code
    No swiping to unlock either, just touch the home button
    You can enrol multiple fingers as well
    Here is a video of it in action
    http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/videos/#video-touch
    Or wait and see what iPhone 6 has to offer
    That being said, as desiel vdub posted if the phone is up to your face, the proximity sensor should turn the screen off
    And when you lower the phone turn it back on again
    Not sure about the phone locking when your on a call doesn't sound right

  • Calling oracle function from Access passthrough query does not return list

    Thanks to the help I received in an earlier post I've created an oracle 10g function that returns a list after executing the sql it contains. It works in oracle, using sql developer.
    I need to have the list that it returns show up in MS Access via a passthrough query. It's not working so far. The connection string etc is ok, I'm able to use passthrough queries to run sql strings successfully. But when I try to call the function via the Access passthrough query at first nothing seems to happen (ie no list appears) and if I try to run it again, there is a odbc error 'call in progress. Current operation canceled'. There are only the three records in the table. I'm missing something, can anyone spot it?
    The passthrough query looks like this
    select * from fn_testvalues from dual
    Again that runs in oracle.
    To create the testing table and 2 functions see below.
    CREATE TABLE t_values (MyValue varchar2(10));
    Table created
    INSERT INTO t_values (
    SELECT 'Merced' c1 FROM dual UNION ALL
    SELECT 'Pixie' FROM dual UNION ALL
    SELECT '452' FROM dual);
    3 rows inserted
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION fn_isnum(p_val VARCHAR2) RETURN NUMBER IS
    n_val NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    n_val := to_number(p_val);
    RETURN 1;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    RETURN 0;
    END;
    Function created
    testing the table:
    SELECT val, fn_isnum(MyValue ) isnum
    FROM t_values;
    VAL ISNUM
    Merced 0
    Pixie 0
    452 1
    Now the function that is called in the passthrough query:
    create or replace function fn_testvalues
    return sys_refcursor is
    rc sys_refcursor;
    begin
    open rc for
    Select t_values.*, fn_isnum(MyValue) IsNum from t_values;
    return(rc);
    end fn_testvalues;

    lecaro wrote:
    OK. But obviously there is some oracle object that one can call via an Access pass-through query which returns rows?Just to clarify. You could fetch data in Access from an Oracle function that returns a ref cursor using VBA editor. To use a pass-through query Oracle function should be a table function or pipelined table function:
    CREATE OR REPLACE
      TYPE testvalues_obj_type
        AS OBJECT(
                  val varchar2(10),
                  isnum number
    CREATE OR REPLACE
      TYPE testvalues_tbl_type
        AS TABLE OF testvalues_obj_type
    CREATE OR REPLACE
      FUNCTION fn_testvalues
        RETURN testvalues_tbl_type
        PIPELINED
        IS
            CURSOR testvalues_cur
              IS
                SELECT  testvalues_obj_type(MyValue,fn_isnum(MyValue)) testvalues_obj
                  FROM  t_values;
        BEGIN
            FOR v_rec IN testvalues_cur LOOP
              PIPE ROW(v_rec.testvalues_obj);
            END LOOP;
            RETURN;
    END;
    /To test it in Oracle:
    SELECT  *
      FROM  TABLE(fn_testvalues)
    VAL             ISNUM
    Merced              0
    Pixie               0
    452                 1
    SQL> Now in Access pass-trough query window enter:
    SELECT  *
      FROM  TABLE(fn_testvalues);SY.
