Call issues on iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 5.1.1

Ever since I upgraded to the IOS 5.1.1 my iPhone 4 has been having call issues. When I make or receive calls the other person can hear me for 5 seconds and then they can't hear me, but I can hear them. It is almost like the mute button is on, but I check it every time and it isn't on. I reset the factory settings, I reset the network settings and I checked the SIM card and nothing has fixed the problem. My phone has NEVER given me problems before and this is really frustrating. Anybody know what is causing this or how to fix it?? Please help!

Apple has not been forthcoming on the explanation. My Siri worked on my iphone4 (not 4s) immediately after upgrading to IOS5, but I take it they have redirected the servers that used to support Siri to only work with Iphone4s.
It is one thing for apple to only bundle the improved Siri with IPhone 4S, or for them to remove Siri from the Ap store.
But it is another thing all together for apple to purchase a company, and then cease the service that many of us paid for.
Attempts to contact apple at apple store and via email have been unhelpful.

Apple stopped signing iOS 6. Though speaking now, I don't know if they stopped signing every iPhone..

Sounds like your iPhone was previously hacked/jailbroken. If true, try using google.

Caller id not working after upgrade to IOS 8.

I have an iPhone 5 which I upgraded to IOS 8. After the upgrade the caller id does not shows the person's name (which I have on my Contacts) on the screen. Now I installed IOS 8.1.1 but the problem persists. This happens also on an iPhone 5S from my office.

Do not pay attention to the previous comment. Sometimes names are shown for numbers stored in IOS address book or Exchange and sometimes (most of the time) not.

I guess my expectation level was way too high regarding this upgrade from iOS 8.0.2 to 8.1: my iPhone 6 still can't connect to Bluetooth peripherals, whatever they may be...
I have a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, and a PC with Windows 8.1 update on it, and none of them can pair with the iPhone, no matter how hard I try.
Have you guys found workaround measures or (hopefully) solutions?

Your english is very good! For Handoff/Continuity to work you need Bluetooth turned on on both devices and they need to be in range of each other -- but you do NOT go to the Bluetooth setting on either device and pair them. I know that is unusual and can think of no other case where that is done using Bluetooth, but that is how it works for Handoff & Continuity.
The following are the other things needed from Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity
How to get started:
Sign in to the same iCloud account on all your devices.
Turn on Bluetooth on all the devices you want to use. Make sure your devices are near each other.
Connect all your devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
Turn off Handoff
To turn off Handoff on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps, and turn off the setting.
On your Mac, go to System Preferences > General and deselect the option to allow Handoff.
Phone calls
With Continuity, you can make and receive cellular phone calls from your iPad, iPod touch, or Mac when your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi network.
To make and receive phone calls, here's what you need:
Sign in to the same iCloud account on all your devices, including your Mac.
Your iPhone and your iPad or iPod touch need to use iOS 8 or later. Your Mac needs to use OS X Yosemite.
All devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
All devices must be signed in to FaceTime using the same iCloud account. This means any device that shares your Apple ID will get your phone calls. Look below for instructions on how to turn off iPhone cellular calls.
Wi-Fi Calling needs to be off. Go to Settings > Phone. If you see Wi-Fi Calling, turn it off.

Having issues with WiFi after upgrading to iOS 7.

After upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 I'm having WiFi issues that I didn't have with iOS 6. For example, on my home network YouTube videos hang multiple times in a 1 minute video, Facebook pages with heavy duty graphics take forever or don't load, and running Ookla speed test, all the test are slower. On every other computers in the house, download is faster than upload, except on the iPhone 5 with iOS 7. Anyone else seen this?

Do the basics first. follow http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398. I would also clear cookies and data in settings > safari.

I updated IPhone 4 OS to iOS 5.0.1, my phone now seems to have the following problems:
It doesn't receive calls - using a landline and calling my iPhone results in the landline just ringing and ringing;
The iPhone can make outgoing calls but, once the call is terminated (i.e. i press the "end call" button), the "phone" app sits there forever - previously the phone app would disappear once i press the "end call" button.
I can't send sms messages - after hitting the "send" button, the progress bar showing the transmission status moves about 80% to completion and then stays there for good.
This has all happened in the past day or so. My iPhone 4 has been running without any problems
It seems that the updated to 5.0.1 has caused these problems though I do note that these problems didn't occur immediately. I was using my iPhone with 5.0.1 quite happily for around a day (making and receving calls) before encontering my current problems.

Hi! It is easy to solve this problem but somehow costly if you have no edge(cellular data) and 3g subscription. If you have edge(cellular data) or 3g connection, open first edge(cellular data) then iphone speaks to the operator service then magic things happen everything backs to normal and there is no hang up then. I said costly solution because if you have no 3g or edge(cellular data) subscription, operator service charge so much for 100kb edge kick...
This solution shows that iphone 5.0.1 update has a problem with operator service. I have iphone 4 unlocked with 250mb 3g painful subscription. I also have iphone 3GS same senario happened and I applied same solution and it worked like a charm but I got an extra charge to my montly bill for 100kb edge kick. pain in the abbys.
Moreover one time edge kick not solve problem. After some day or some time (I can say twice a week), call hang up occurred then I opened edge again (edge kick) and iphone was getting normal.
I advice you install ios updates after you read forums and sure that there is no problem. Since before ios 5.0.1 update my iphone had been working like a charm.
If your iphone works quite normal, live it freely dont install updates; is my final words guys...

I had something similar (wouldn't connect to my router). I just reset the router, and it went like a dream from there. Myabe your problem too? Good luck.

This is because your phone was previously jailbroken.
You will never get the phone to activate.

Issues email app after upgrading to iOS 8.3

My iPhone email app doesn't work properly; I can send emails, but I can't receive or get it refresh with new incoming email. I tried deleting my email account several times and resetting it my device (home+close/open buttons) and nothing seemed to work. I don't want to do a complete reset using my last backup, I have too many data stored in other apps that it will take a big deal of time have it restore back again. Thank you!!

I have this exact problem with gmail and have been unable to solve it. I checked my account, smtp settings, everything is as it should be. I deleted my account (twice!), and then added it back in. No help.
The problem however didn't appear right away for me on my ipad (3e gen). It occurred rather spontaneously in the last week of february.
Strangely, it recognizes my account, and I can send e-mails with it. So the problems seems to be on the receiving side. It recognizes the structure of my gmail, but all the folders are empty. On my iphone 5 I do not have this problem.
My workaround for now: download the google gmail app and use that to check my mail. Sending still works with the ipad mail app. But it is frustrating not being able to use this to receive mail.

Freeze/Battery issues after upgrade to iOS 8.0.2

Since upgrading my 3rd Gen iPad WiFi to iOS 8.0.2 I have been experiencing freezes where nothing works. I can't open apps or do anything. If I hold the on/off button down eventually it comes back to life. Second issue is battery life. Last night I closed my smart cover and made sure the display was off. Battery at the time was 62%. This morning I opened the iPad smart cover and the battery was down too 23%. This has happened a number of time over the past week or so. I have Blue Tooth and Location Services off.
Both of these issues are new after upgrading to iOS 8.0.2. No problems whatsoever prior to that.
Not sure if I'm putting this in the correct category or not.
Is there a way to wipe the iPad clean and reinstall everything from scratch or is my iPad just shot? Thanks in advance.

Same sort of issues here on my ipad3. iOS 8 turned it from a nice slick device into a jerky, laggy pain. Tried all the reset options and it's still pretty crap.
