Call log appearing in email folder

All of a sudden my calls are no longer being saved in the call log section but I have messages in my email box saying "placed call" or "received call". Also text messages are deleting themselves srtraight away before I can even read them. Can anyone help?

Two things: 1. Press the green phone dial key, and press Menu > Options > Call Logging and choose either NONE of missed calls only.

  • Handset losing call logs, texts and emails

    Hi,
I have an ongoing problem with my BB and am not getting much sense from my network provider (BT Business).
    Here's a bit off history:
I started the contract in November 2011 with a Torch 9860.  I had numerous problems with the phone freezing and randomly losing data such as texts, call logs and emails.  In 9 months I've had 5 phones and 1 sim card change, 2 weeks ago BT changed the handset to a Torch 9810.
The phone has worked fine till Friday when it started doing funny things like randomly receiving texts which were from old conversations.  On saturday afternoon it lost all data by way of texts, call logs and emails that were over 24 hours old and in the last hour has lost everything over 6 hours old.
I have all calls, texts and emails going into the messages list and have that set to save everything for ever so I can chose when to delete information.
As I;m a consultant I need my call logs, texts and emails to work out my billing so this really is a pain.
I really do think this is a network issue rather than the handset.
Can anyone offer any ideas/solutions before I phone BT in the morning?
    Many thanks x

That is a very tiny database size. Go into your camera options and see where your pictures are being saved.
Something is not right. There is no reason your free memory should be so low with such small database sizes and very few apps installed. You should be pushing 200+ MB of free memory.

  • Call log, text messages, emails, and facebook messages erasing

Last night when I realized that my entire call log and well as all of my text messages, a large portion of my emails, and some of my facebook messages had vanished. I thought I must have inadvertently done something to make that happen. The this morning when I woke up, the new text messages and calls I had made last night were gone too. Any ideas on what is happening and how I can stop it?

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
First thing? Check the File Free at Options > Status, what is the number at File Free?
Now, remove the battery of your device, hold a minute, replace and reboot. What is the File Free now?

  • Call Log auto deletes

I let my brother borrow my 8130 for a day and ever since then my call logs, messages, and emails are all automatically deleted once a day.  I dont know how to disable this feature.  Any suggestions?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

i had this problem before and it was related to the memory.  i purchased a memory card and transferred all my pictures, ringtones, etc on it.   You might want to close all your opened conversations, maybe clean out some of the items in your custom dictionary as well. I also run the memory cleaner everyday and that seemed to help.
    hope that helps!

  • Call Logs

From what I understand my BB only holds call logs for 30 days. I also know that I can forward a call log to an email address. What I want my BB to do is to send me an email for every call log (in out and missed with date time and duration) automatically. I do not want to have to manually select a call log and send each one individually.
I need the call logs as I bill for every 5 minutes of work that I do and I also have to maintain a maticulous call log of every time I speak to a client.
If I do not clear my calls regularly then they drop off after 30 days. I have also set up the BB to put a message in my SMS box for each call log but again it seems to delete them after 30 days and just leaves the missed call ones, why? (Not a memory issue there is loads).
    Help greatly appreciated.

VERY COOL idea!!! Innovative....but do you know this system will stop carriers to earn revenue on printing subscribers call details.
You need to look for 3rd paty applications for that purpose. However, I never came accross any such apps.

If you are using Apple's Mail app 6.5 is the latest version irrespective of what a previous poster says. It does sound though that you are using a gmail account online via a web browser. Please confirm and fill in missing information.

  • Problem with call log and email signature...

Hi, I have 2 little problem with my BB
First, the day won't appear in the call logs. It only displays the month like 08/dd.

Second, when I send emails, my signature gets all mixed up because of my french punctuation, any idea why ?

Wow, that's REALLY low. That number means there's only 6MB free. It's recommended to have AT LEAST 15MB free. Check under Options | Status, hit the menu button, then choose Database Sizes. What number is listed for Total Size at the top?
If the Content Store is really big then that means all of the media files (pictures, videos, etc) are being saved in the device memory rather than on a media card. Does your boss have a media card to store the media on?
Did you also change the Keep Appointments setting to something lower like you did with the Keep Messages setting?

  • Why my sent emails do not appear in Sent Folder?

why my sent emails do not appear in Sent Folder?

Are you using the Mail Ap which is apart of the Mac OS?
Are you using an Email linked to the Mail AP, I.E. Gmail, Yahoo?
I have noticed this issue with my Yahoo Account. Certain sent items will only be viewable on the device I sent the Email on. When I log in to my email from my Web Browser all sent mail is there. This is as far I know... I think there is something with Icloud in my suspicion will resolve this.

  • Call log in email inbox?? how to remove??

In my blackberry email inbox, my call log is also showing. it is annoying - how to remove????
    thanks
    Solved!

Hi there and welcome to the forums!
You can resolve this using the following steps (I've done the same on my Storm for the same reason as you):
Open the phone application, then press the BB Menu button and select Options
Choose Call Logging and then change the call logging options to None.
This will still show an icon for missed calls, but it will remove the call log from your main messages folder.
    I hope this helps!

  • Easier way to view phone call logs? Also, help with email setup...

    1.  On my 8220 it's not very efficient to view past call logs and or missed calls.  I have to go into my Messages folder, click the menu button, scroll down to 'view folder' and then scroll down to my 'Phone Call Logs'.  Is there a way to create a folder dedicated to viewing call logs and my missed calls on my home screen without going through all that timely navigating?  Is there a special download for this application?  I've seen this folder on the BB 101 tutorial webpage.
I'm with Rogers Wireless if that helps.
    2.  When I select the Email Setup it only gives me the the option to "I want to use a work email account with a BlackBey Enterprise Server" and no option for the "I want to create or add an email address" which I see on the BB 101 tutorial webpage.  Well, I'd like to create or add an email address.  How can I get that option on my phone?
Oh and one more thing, is the 8220 able to run the BB maps application?
    Any help is much appreciated!

    1) While in your messages folder, try pressing ALT + P to bring up the phone logs without all the navigating. (I know that works on other BB models, I don't know on the 8220).
    2) Do you have a BB Data Plan on your carrier account? Once it is , you will get the personal email setup icon.

  • Email & Call logs

Hello! Very new to the Blackberry world... Trying to figure out one thing that seems simple enough but alas, it has stumped me.
I know how to separate emails/text messages. What I'm looking for is a way to separate the emails from the call logs. I need my calls logged and I've read on the board that the solution is to turn off call logging? Wouldn't this prevent me from seeing the logs completely? or only in the message folder...
Basically I'm looking to keep call logging, but separately from emails!
    Is there a solution?
    Sincerely,
    Lea

No, it will only remove the call logs from your Messages list. The call logs will still remain in the Call Log (by pressing the green dial key).

  • Some emails don't appear in the folder list, I can only find them by using Search Messages

As of yesterday, new emails from one regular correspondent do not appear in the list of messages when I click on Inbox. The only way I can access them is to use "Edit/Find/Search Messages". They are still in Inbox, they haven't been moved to another folder.
    Thunderbird version is 31.6.0.

None of these apply, the messages have been received, I can find them using Search Messages but they do not appear in the folder contents.

  • While composing emails, either a new email or replying to a received email, multiple partial versions of the same email appear in trash folder.  For a lengthy email, e.g. 2 pgs.  I may have as many as 100 partial versions of that email appear in trash.

The Mac has 2 profiles.  When composing an email in mail (gmail account), multiple versions of the same email appear in trash as you are composing the email.  Does not appear to be any specific attributes which trigger this.  When email is sent.  The entire email appears in sent folder, while you still have multiple versions in trash.  This same thing occurs if you create and save a draft email.
This only occurs on one of the two profiles.  Both profiles are administrators.  But this is the secondary profile.
We have compared all settings on the Mac for both profiles, gmail online, etc.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Ick. So it can't just work sensibly? Sensible would be either autosave overwrites previously autosaved versions or all autosaved versions would be deleted when the message is finally sent. Allowing previous message versions to accumulate endlessly might be beneficial to someone, but does not seem like sensible default behavior.
