Call log menu problems!

When i open the call log theres upper menu's on the top of the screen, at first i could browse through them but now i can't. I have to open the call log and go to Received,Missed or Dialed calls separately not all at once:/ I have the same problem with the other upper menus other than the calling ones. Can anyone help plz?! How do i fix this? Natalie.

Well, a lot of things can happen in one week. You can also bring your E73 back to your retailer, but the first thing they'll do is reset the phone. There seems to be a firmware update for your device. You can try that as well. Make sure that after the update you reset the phone *#7370# and restore the backup you made earlier without the settings.

Ok,You're using the Chinese firmware...and that's the reason you have this issue.
Press/tap on the ''Contacts'' icon->Press the physical Menu button(bottom left physical button/key)->More features and settings->More display options and set ''Matching digits of number''(press/tap on the setting) by ''7 digits''....
...This should solve the ''problem''.

Problem with call log and email signature...

Hi, I have 2 little problem with my BB
First, the day won't appear in the call logs. It only displays the month like 08/dd.

Second, when I send emails, my signature gets all mixed up because of my french punctuation, any idea why ?

Wow, that's REALLY low. That number means there's only 6MB free. It's recommended to have AT LEAST 15MB free. Check under Options | Status, hit the menu button, then choose Database Sizes. What number is listed for Total Size at the top?
If the Content Store is really big then that means all of the media files (pictures, videos, etc) are being saved in the device memory rather than on a media card. Does your boss have a media card to store the media on?
Did you also change the Keep Appointments setting to something lower like you did with the Keep Messages setting?

5800 XM Call log problem, please help!

Recently I got a problem in my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, my recent call are not shown in my call log, Whenever I dial, received or get a missed call....it show's no dialed, received or missed calls...
Ex.I got 9 missed, when I opened it, it shows nothing...blank(no missed calls)
What is the problem and what should I do ? Please help me....

Double confirm ure settings as below,
MENU -> LOG -> OPTIONS -> SETTINGS (Set the log duration to 30 days)
If the above setting matches your phone, immediately, backup ure contacts, messages and do a soft reset *#7370# -> enter standard security code 123456 (unless changed by user)

PROBLEM WITH CALL LOGS/CONTACTS

HI FRIENDS,
I AM FACING A WIERD PROBLEM WITH MY Z10, WHEN I GET A CALL OR A MISS CALL THE NUMBER SHOWS UNDER A DIFFERENT CONTACT NAME HOWEVER THE ORIGINAL CONTACTS REMAIN UNCHANGED AS IT ONLY HAPPENS IN CALL LOG PAGE.
CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME ON THE SAME.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue with your Call Logs.
Is the name in the log showing as a different contact entirely, or is the name not how you manually entered it in your phone?
Does this happen with all your contacts in the logs or just specific ones?
Do you have multiple link sources for your Contacts in the Contacts app?

E6 belle call screeen problem and call log proble...

When making / receiving a call, I can only see part of the name (10 characters), if it is longer. Ideally, to see not only the name / surname as a whole, but also to other fields if they are (eg a company), for business is essential. Picture when I disconnected the call but did not help. Another problem: The Call Log contains only the last 20 , even if the settings of a month's worth.

That's already by default. If the name of the contact is exceeding 16 characters, it will be cut off on the screen once you call/receive a call from the said contact. Also, the device can only show the name of the contact when receiving/making a call. Including its other information (eg company) is beyond the support of your device.
With regard to the Call logs, that is unusual. try to perform a soft reset by dialing *#7780#. It should fix the problem.

Call Log Problems and Questions

I've owned this phone since late June, 2011 and overall like it. I came from a BB with "real" keys, but have been pleased with eth learning curve for the swype keyboard (except it's insistence on some nonsense words).
The real issue I'm facing: The Call Log
First off, it's painfully slow when compared to my old BB. If I want to call a recent contact I click over to the log, but have to first WAIT for the phone app to start, and then WAIT for the log to come up, then painfully WAIT to scroll, and then WAIT for that call to load the WAIT to FINALLY get a "Call" button. Why in the world is this fairly "native" app so frikkin slow. This is, after all, a phone.
Second: Why is the call log not threaded? I haven’t had an unthreaded call log in about 10 years. My wife calls a lot, but I should have 15 line items of her before the next distinct caller. When will this be fixed? Seems a major flaw
Third, why can't I choose which phone screen comes up first when i click "Phone" from the immovable home screen buttons? How often are users dialing numbers that are A-not in their call log or B-not a contact? Speaking of Contacts:
Fourth: Why is the contact search SO slow? I typed my last name in (so it should be finding only my family - maybe 10 contacts) and it took 8 seconds. Again, comparing to the BB, which had a list ready (from the exact same list of contacts) with every keystroke.
So, four problems. May I please have four answers?
Now one for which I can foresee the answer:

I cannot answer your questions with what I consider an effective answer. With that said are you aware that you can create groups in your contact list. The is easiest done on the computer from the Google Voice app. I have a group for my family, wife's family, coworkers, friends, doctors, restaurants, etc. It is much easier to find someone in a small group. I also have direct dial shortcuts on one of my home screens. I have one home screen dedicated to direct dial shortcuts. For those that I call all the time like my wife and home you touch the icon and it dials immediately. To do this long tap an open space on a home screen, click on shortcut, click on direct dial or direct message for quick texting. You can also have a direct shortcut to the actual contact if you frequently need to access the contact information.
I hope this at least helps you enjoy the phone a little better if you were not aware of these features. And yes, I wish the bloatware would go away.
BTW the 4 buttons at the bottom (not the hard buttons) are movable. You have to long press them to change them out.

C3 call logs problem

Hello ,
I have a problem with my C3 . When I press the green key "Call" (even after removing sim and battery) shows me couple of names as in I have called them (5 of them) , I try to delete them tells me "invalid selection" those name were in my agenda but I have deleted them . Oh and I have restored factory settings and yet nothing. Someone could tell me what to do ? Thank you

Program download fills free space causing call log problems

I downloaded a sizeable program (9MB) that required that it be directly downloaded to the phone and not via the computer syncing. Unfortunately, it filled all my phone memory despite having a 4GB SD card in place. I couldn't figure out how to transfer it to the SD card to free up the space. Due to the program, I had the typical problems of having all the memory tied up (call logs, slow performance, etc.) Is there any good way to download the program that I want to the SD care instead of going directly to the phone memory? Or as an alternative, is there a good way to transfer the program after it has already been downloaded?

Applications can not be installed on the memory card.

Video call freeze problem save call logs?

with a spesific contact whenever we talk on 1-1 video call or he is hosting a group call there will be random occasions that it will freeze and it won't recover and eventually fail.
we are both using the latest 7.0.85.102
my pc: win 8.1 32bit
his pc: win 7 sp1 64bit
(both fully updated)
is there a way to monitor/save call logs on both sides (mine and his) so you can investigate the issue further?

i suggest go to a nokia careline center near you and tell them your problem about your phone. im sure they can help you. or if you know the store where your phone was bought from, try to go there and ask if they can check your phone since most phone stores have warranty for products that they sell.

I'm having a probelm with the Call logs. usualy, i should be able to go to call logs (missed calls, received, etc...) select the desired number and hit on dial; however, the phone does not respond. i press and nothing happens...
today it happened with the phone book... i searched for a user, and then pressed on dial but still nothing happens... i had to type the numbers....
is it a bug or i'm missing something?
BTW, i had to disable Rotate function as it is TOOOOOOOOO sensitive, a tiny move and it will switch the screen.

I bought nokia E66 on August 1, 2008.
I got an issue very similar to the one reported by Zahi about call Logs: after some hour of use, I can't make any call neither starting from the call in the logs or from the phonebook: when I press the green button there's no way to make a phone call.
The only way to use the phone again is to restart the phone.
It sounds really like a bug...and i think that this is not an admissible bug for a phone that costs more than 400 Euros...
Hope that Nokia could fix asap the problem.

Call log does not work. Iphone 4

Hi, I'm an Iphone 4 user, software currently on IOS 6.1.3, updated a couple of weeks ago.
Everything's fine and all, though one major problem that's been persisting - the call history is not working. Whenever an oncalling call (regardless if it's someone in my contact list or not) comes, the call log does not record the number and the entire log remains blank. I've tried resetting the settings as well as 'hard reset', but neither of these two have worked.
It's become absolutely frustrating, especially when I sold items off at Trademe and can't even track the phone numbers of anyone that gives a call saying they want to buy something (for the moment, I've currently got all pages saying that anyone interested should text my number, but as always, someone ignores that and just calls anyway). Not to mention it makes it a particularly big headache for work purposes as well and it obviously can't go on like this forever.
It'd be really appreciated if anyone can come up with a solution that can resolve this issue.

I don't know how widespread your experience is but it is not universal as all the functions you describe work correctly for me with an E52 and 052.003 firmware.
Even if the upgrade reverted the log settings for Log Duration to "None" the "Green" key and the Log menu icon should bring the log up but with it empty, of course.
